Update to the original review based on experience after replacement to 4 stars
Turns out I just got a bunk board the first time. So after Amazon politely replaced it and having used it for several months now. I have to say it works really well. The wifi works very well. Bluetooth as well. Everything I have plugged into it has just worked.
My two cons and why I still knocked a star off.
Con One - It has a crap ton of sata ports. However if you use the on the motherboard NVME slots (There are two) it has to disable some of those same numerous sata ports to allow for the bandwidth needed for NVME performance.
Con Two - The fact that I got a bad board in the first place. I know they can't QA everything but this is the second time dealing with Gigabyte that I have gotten a bunk MB from the beginning.

I really wanted to like this Motherboard. It has an awesome selection of supported items and flexible options like wifi/bluetooth.
But this thing has been an non-stop pain in the rear from the get go. First install get prompted for a restart and then all of the sudden it stops seeing one of my drives and takes forever to load. I restarted again after another round of updates and then... it won't load Windows at all and stops seeing another one of my connected sata drives.
So I figure okay maybe bad cabling. Replace that and still not working.
Try to reinstall windows on the MB socketed NVME drive. MB sees the drive but says windows can't be installed to that device. Even though it can see it. Throws an error about not being able to install. (Yes folks it's the MBR device)
Try another drive a 480 Gig and this one it reports is a 2 TB drive that I can't do anything with. Says 2 TB of space 0 Available and won't allow me to change anything or try to delete/clear the drive.
Try to use a sata drive to boot up won't let even let me run the windows installer at this point because it says it can't find any drives.
Tried switching the BIOS's a few times rolling forward and back to differing versions and ... nada. So within a few hours of having this put together with components it appears that the HD controller failed.
Because no matter what I do it gives me bad info about the size and available storage of the HD's connected or doesn't see them or won't let me boot off of them.
Amazon support was also less than helpful when I contacted them. I was transferred to 3 people over the course of 1 and a half hours. Till the final person took some ownership and stopped asking me the same questions over and over again and got me a replacement.
However it will be the same Motherboard. Not sure I really like that but... I'll give it a try and see how this one works. If it goes well I'll update my review. If it goes wrong... well this is the second time I've bought a computer related item from Amazon and had it turn into a sheet show. I may have to go back to getting my electronics at Best Buy and NewEgg.

This is top mootherboard, Optical input for the audio, which makes a huge difference if you want the best sound for your speakers. Great power phase for OC. it has it all, great board

Frustratingly DOA
Was teaching my son in law how to build a PC. Helped him research and choose all the components, to include this mobo. Ordered them. All were received on time, packaged well. Taught him all the important rules to assembly, like stay grounded, etc. Watched and assisted in the assembly. Check his work, it was good. Powered up. POST filed DRAM. Okay, happens. Checked to make sure the DIMMs were seated correctly, yup. Powered up. POST failed DRAM. The heck? Swapped the order of the DIMMs. Powered up. POST failed DRAM. Maybe we got bad DIMMs. Tried an older set that I took out of mine when I upgraded (they worked fine when I took them out). Powered up. POST failed DRAM. GTFOH. Started looking up this problem with this mobo on Google. Turns out it's a vast problem with this mobo. Very high failure rate for this mobo with this specific problem. Returning the mobo. Changing brands. If you want to polish your troubleshooting skills, this is a great board to buy, but if you just want to get your computer working, look elsewhere.

A high quality B550 board, perfect for budget Ryzen 3/5 builds, no issues with setup or configuration and all the BIOS options that you would expect for a board in this range.

Great so far.
I have read quite a few reviews saying their motherboards failed after some time. I will say this for now, I am by no means an expert and this is my first ever build.
But for now everything is working fine. No issues so far for the first week. I will update this review if something unfortunate happens. (I hope not.)
One little problem I had was that there are only 3 sys fan headers on the mobo and the case I have is the NZXT H500 which can have 4 case fans in total. So unfortunately there will be one fan that will have no fan control.
I read that you can also use the cpu_opt header but it will sync the fan speed with the cpu cooler. So it will follow the fan curve of the cpu cooler fan. (Correct me if I'm wrong please, I do not wish to spread false info thanks!)
But for now everything is working fine. No issues so far for the first week. I will update this review if something unfortunate happens. (I hope not.)

I tried to use this in pairing with a 5800x and 3070, and flashed F11 BIOS before I added any components, but it would not post. I tried everything I could think of until I changed the BIOS back to F10 and the problems were fixed. I will now be waiting for the BIOS update to F12 before I update again.

Linux compatible 100%
My build Ryzen 2700, DDR4 3200MHz, NVME 4X M.2 SSD (boot drive), Nvidia GTX 1070. Installed Neon Linux (Ubuntu based) very graphic intense awesome Desktop and after installing no drivers needed. Wifi worked during live install and after with absolutely no connection drop or slowness. Bluetooth keyboard worked with no problem. Thunderbolt 3 works fine with my Dell Dock. Sound and Ethernet worked excellent. The DD4 RAM did show up in bios as 3200MHz after enabling XMP. The computer boots up from off to login screen in 5 seconds. To install Linux you don't have to change any settings in BIOS just boot from USB to install. I didn't install Nvidia driver for my GTX 1070 because Neon Linux comes with Nvidia drivers. Its cool to see the entire system runs smoothly, run cool, and very stable thanks to how Linux fully understands this motherboard and can utilize it. I only with I could control the RGB light on the motherboard on Linux like the software they have on Windows. I purchased 2 more of this motherboard for my friend's build and they are happy.
IMPORTANT!! A decade ago ALL motherboards that had video output connectors had a GPU sodered to the motherboard on the south bridge. So regardless of what processor you install the motherboard video output will always work. But now all manufactures has this bad practice where they no longer puts a GPU in the south bridge and relyes on you to purchase a special CPU that has GPU embedded in it which cost a lot more, sacrifices 2 CPU cores (4 threads), requires more power and heats up a lot more. It would appear that we are going backwords. These days even a very small AMD GPU can output 4K easy. If the consumer need more graphical power then he or she can just buy a dedicated video card instead of buying another expensive CPU and the old CPU goes to waste. Only very small motherboards like intel Nuc can do stuff like this because they don't have space. Mothers like these is just wasting ports confusing and pissing off people.

I ordered this motherboard and it came earlier than expected which was great, it then became apparent that the Ethernet port was faulty and have to start an RMA with scan, after several emails and them just confirming it’s faulty which I already knew, they asked me to pick a replacement of up to the same value, so I replied with my motherboard of choice and they have said all they can do is process a refund

Don't buy this board if you care about download + upload speeds.
The ONLY reason I had purchased this board was due to the on board WiFi. If that is a feature that draws you to this, I HIGHLY suggest that you buy a different board.
While the connection (seems) strong & secure, this motherboards built in WiFi is cutting my internet speed in half. I was getting about 110 mb/s download and 12 mb/s upload with my 5 year old, nearly broken PCIE Wifi card. Those are the same numbers I get from my other PC and the two laptops in my home. However, this board is pulling me 25 to 55 mb/s maximum download speed with an upload of around 6-8. A total joke. I have also occasionally seen my connection drop a bar or two, which would be understandable if my router wasn't directly under my PC down one floor.
Long story short, if on board graphics is a must for you, buy a different board. Otherwise, I'd say your better off saving the 30-50 bucks on the motherboard and spending that on a PCIE wifi card. I'll be contacting their support, as much as a headache I'm sure that will be. If anything comes of it I will update the review accordingly.

A solid motherboard, very well equipped, and finally I don't have to buy a separate fan control unit since you've got 7 4-pin connectors available. Very well implemented UEFI and touch wood all fine so far.

Okay. But probably won't buy another gigabyte motherboard again
It was extremely nice at first but I had so many issues with software and along with that had driver issues.
First, I enjoy color coding/matching my entire setup but eventually, RGB fusion just failed on me.
It stopped detecting and changing the RGB for the motherboard and at times it didn't detect the RGB for my GPU and constantly just went back to its stock setting.
Second, it won't let me install the drivers and they keep failing on the download whenever I keep trying to install them.
Thirdly, when I tried updating the drivers for my sound it completely made me lose the ability and has currently made me try and go out of my way to try and fix my sound issues
Fourth, there are some issues with my wireless mouse now. Whenever I wire it up, using a ROG Spatha Mouse, it won't move anymore after I tried installing drivers to ultimately try and fix the RGB issues with the motherboard that's just lead to overall issues with the motherboard and function itself.

Had a few issues in the beginning installing the drivers and bios but eventually sorted that out and my brother has not had any problems since.
Haven't tried overclocking it yet but my brother prefers it stock so can't say anything about that.
Overall, it's a decent board which does the job.

Worked Great for 3 days
I am currently awaiting my 3rd mobo (the initial purchased board and 1 rma that was DOA). The first board worked as expected for 3 days. This was all setup in an nzxt h510i case, with a ryzen 5 3600, 16gb of vengeance pro rgb RAM, a gtx 1050ti, corsair 650w PSU and the pro wifi board. The gtx 1050ti was temporary as I awaited deliver of my rtx 2060 super. I received the new card and expected a straight forward swap, driver update and on to playing but once I popped the new card in I got nothing from the board or on screen. No post or any other type of lights on the board, and a white ring around the power button of the case. The easiest and fastest approach was to replace the PSU (bought at bestbuy less than a mile away). Did that, same issue. RMA'd that original board and got a new one in a day and a half (that was awesome btw). This time I set the MB up outside of the case using only 24 and 8 pin connectors, processor, fan and RAM. This time when turning on the PSU I got red flashing lights underneath both thermal heat shields on the MB. These are not the standard VGA, dram and boot post LED's. I assume they're temperature related. In any case I decided to set everything back up in the case even though I got nothing outisde. This time I did not even get the white ring around the power button on the case.. So I took everything back apart and jumped the PSU with a paper clip. Got the fan to spin on the PSU so I knew it was good. CMOS reset and jumping power from the board also yielded no results. So in the matter of a weeks time I've gone through 2 boards and today I'm waiting for amazon to receive the 2nd one, and send me a 3rd. I wish I had done more research about the DOA stories with this particular MB. All because I wanted wifi. I should've gone b450 Tomahawk. Oh well, I'm just hoping I get the 3rd board quickly and that it works. I'm going on a 3 weeks of having hardware but needing to wait for parts to enjoy the build.
**UPDATE*** Amazon support was great at expediting the replacement and getting it to me quickly. Received the 3rd board and it worked like a charm right out of the box. It has performed well since. I have updated my review from 2 to 3 stars for this experinece.

I got this board because I wanted a quality board with on-board wifi. The on-board wifi boosted my signal to double what I was getting before with a small nano usb from asus. No offense to them, the on-board wifi is just built to better acquire higher signal strength, it also has a decent sized magnetic antenna so you can place it closest to your wireless router. As far as the RGB for the board, its glitchy, not the best. I also tried calling Gigabyte about this and they basically said (after 45 min on hold) that I had to uninstall any other RGB software and then reinstall theirs, I did this, and it didnt work. But I dont mind the RGB not always working. I find if you set it and then shut down your computer, then actually cut the power at the switch on the power supply, it sort of resets it and works, sometimes...

WORKS WITH RYZEN 3000 SERIES!!
This motherboard had me worried at first because of the reviews saying it was not ryzen 3000 compatible yet and that it would need a BIOS update before installation, but it didn't! If you go on gigabytes website and look up this motherboard you will see it is compatible. They need to update the amazon post though. For the people who said it needed a BIOS update, they probably don't know what they're doing. Great product, games well, looks great, LED's are sick. Would buy again.

Fantastic motherboard felt heavy with quality I havent had any of the issues everyone else has stated but I havent updated my BIOS AT ALL which I belive may have kept me from the bad wifi or I am just lucky

Good for first pc build
Great mother board. Was really easy to install windows with. I downloaded windows 10 to a flash drive and plugged it into a usb port and when the system turned on it knew to boot from the flash drive. I did not have to change any settings. I am using this with a second generation ryzen 5 processor so no bios update was needed. I got it while it was on sale and it had Bluetooth and WiFi which was an added bonus.

Paired this motherboard with RTX 3070 and 3800x. Overclocked too 4.4 in all cores (AIO cooler). Not had any problems so far. This board seems to be able to overclock my CPU to it limit which is all I wanted really.

Gigabyte board, full of features
Bought this motherboard for my first ever PC build. Has tons of features including 2 M.2 slots, 9 SATA connector sockets, 3 fan headers, a USB 3.1 connector, a USB-C connector, and RGB sockets. The board worked well with a Cooler Master case, with wiring plugs and clearances in the right places. If you like RGB this is a worthy board, for the Aorus logo is lit up brightly, and the before mentioned connector for RGB. Only criticisms would be that this board lacks VGA port, the lettering on the board is grey instead of white - making it hard to connect the right pins, and with the Ryzen 3 2200g installed, it doesn’t support Linux Mint OS without running in compatibility mode. Also, the driver/bios updating from the Gigabyte site is a bit tricky for the exact model # of the board isn’t made clear on the website or on the board.

A disappointeing expensive results...
Heard a lot of great things about this board... But after I got it I could not get it to work... Come to find out this board is very picky about the processer and memory installed... This cheap board cost me a lot more because I had to buy new memory and processor to get it to work... I bought it for the stuff I had on hand, but it would not work with what I had... Gigabyte is a great company and they are the only boards I use... But in my opinion they dropped the ball on this one... Worse part is the little documentation I could find said it would work with the memory and processor I had... So do your research well before purchasing...

The BIOS flashback is a good feature on this. Great IO plate, great looking board IMO with some understated orange LED lighting.
