I've owned and reviewed four different Epson printers and/or all-in-one machines and hands down, this one is my favorite!My Epson's have included the WorkForce 840 and 845 models, the WorkForce Pro WP-4540 and this Artisian 837. All provide very nice results for a great price and are great for a small home office setting but this is in a class by itself. When I'm not working, one of my hobbies is photography so I can certainly appreciate a printer capable of handling photographic type needs...this fits the bill perfectly without breaking the bank!Out of the box, the very first thing you will notice is the weight! Although about half the size of the WorkForce Pro 4540 model, this was substantially heavier. It takes much less space (just over the size of an old stereo console) but is built like a small tank. It comes with extra colors which really make the printed photo's POP unlike any other printers I've owned at home. Hands down, this is the best photo printer I've encountered for home. The fact that it is capable of handling fax/scan and other fucntions is a big plus. Set-up and installation are simple, preview is very nice...everything works like it is supposed to and does it well.My FAVORITE Epson and highly rated for those that enjoy photography but still need/want other functions.

The photos that come from this printer just amaze me. They are stunningly beautiful and look as good as anything you will get from a lab. The scanning and faxing also work quite well. I think the paper tray is made of flimsy plastic that feels like it might break easily but probably won't. I connected the printer to my WiFi network very easily. I also did a firmware update with the instructions in the box and can now print over WiFi from either my iPhone or my iPad. That was easy to set up and is handy and fun. The USB connection on my iMac took some trial and error to set up. At first it did not recognize the printer. After installing the software from the CD it started working after a couple of attempts. I didn't think I needed the CD because when I connected the printer to my Mac it asked if I wanted to install the drivers and I said yes. But in any event it works well now. The printer also does double sided printing effortlessly. The ink cartridges empty quickly. Just four photo prints and many of the cartridges are 25% depleted. So be prepared for that. But the photo quality is stunning and I am very happy with the printer. When you send something to the printer the dust cover pops open so the paper doesn't jam. On my prior Epson printer I frequently forgot to open the dust cover and the paper would jam. The negatives I mentioned in this review don't keep me from rating this printer five stars. This is my third Epson Printer and I see no reason to switch. In my opinion, Epson is the leader in printers and they just keep getting better.

Epson is like the Nazi's in 1945 when it comes to their ink. Every-other manufacturer allows you to buy refilled ink, but Epson not only notifies you each time that you install one, "that's ok" but now it won't except them at all. It is now a $200 boat anchor.Never ever again. Even your car manufacturer lets me chose the fuel level you use.

I'm very happy with this printer. I bought it for my daughter for her personal use as well as for her yoga business. She had it installed and working perfectly before I had a chance to help her. It is being used with two Mac computers on a network.

For those who need to know the stats:Printing time is pretty fast.Printing quality is fantastic.Colors are vibrant and beautiful. Much better than Lexmark, Epson and Canon.Size is HUGE. It is hard to fit this thing on a standard sized desk. It just takes up too much room.Photos cannot be discerned from professional printing. If you get yours at Walmart, these are superior.Easy to install.Simple to use the CD feature and the photo printer, even for those, like me, who are techonologically disadvantaged.WHAT I HATE AND YOU MAY TOO:The catch tray is one in name only. The printer shoots the paper out faster than the tray can contain. After just a few are caught, the rest will go soaring.It is LOUD. Not as loud as a car starting, but you wouldn't want to print while anyone was trying to sleep.If you try to use refills or OEM inks, Epson has designed the newer models not to accept them. We tried SEVERAL brands and refills. All were rejected, leaving us to buy their ridiculously overpriced inks (which are cheaper on Amazon than directly from Epson). That was really irritating.I cannot complain about the work quality or ease of use, however, based on expensive inks alone, I would not recommned this printer unless you are buying it PRIMARILY for photo printing. It it just too expensive. Especially if you have kids wanting to print drawings and the like.

I must say that I am impressed with what Epson has packed into this printer. The ease of which I can get photos printed out is great. We haven't tried sending directly from the iPhone yet, but I am looking forward to trying that. Everything about the Artisan was easy.Setup was a breeze, if you have a wireless network. Just follow the instructions and the network should be able to bring your printer online within minutes. We had absolutely no issues with the setup. If you select wireles during your setup you will need to connect the printer once with a USB cable and then after setup you will be able to remove the cable. Knowing this do not slect USB in the setup because the printer will think you are trying to set the printer up to be permanently connected by USB.The menu system on the Epson is very intuitive. I had no problem making my way through the menus to select the different functiions and view system information. Whether I was copying or printing I had no problem doing what I wanted to do.The quality of the prints were very good. I printed some documents with different fonts and using just a basic inkjet paper and it looked good. Photos also looked good on normal paper (not photo lab quality, but good). I wanted to use just everyday paper, and not any special papers because in reality that is how I print.This is a great little printer for the home. For the price I am sure you won't be disappointed.

I ordered this printer because I was interested in being able to print my own photos at home rather than having to send them off somewhere or take a flash drive into a Walgreens, etc. I was expecting a photo printer that would create "quality" prints slightly below that of an actual photoshop, but the Artisan is way more than this!First of all, it's incredibly easy to set up (assuming you have a wireless connection). I took it out of the box, removed the travel safety protections, plugged it in and followed the step-by-step instructions from there. It automatically connects to your wifi (once you enter the password) and prints with no problem.It prints plain text documents quickly and cleanly (no big deal there). But the photo prints are incredible. Using the two free 4X6 photo papers that came with the printer I was amazed at the quality of the prints - they look like they were developed professionally. Secondly, and even more impressive, is that Epson allows you to set up an account online that will then allow you to establish an email address and send photos to your printer directly from your iPhone! After getting the settings right I tried this and had a professional-looking copy of a photo I took with my iPhone printed out in under a minute.Not only is this printer easy to set up it produces beautiful quality and prints from your iPhone. I don't know what else you would want from a photo printer. The ink is a little expensive but it's worth it for the quality and simplicity.

I resisted buying an all-in-one inkjet, concerned it just meant more things to go wrong in an already complicated piece of technology, and spent years getting by with copier and fax freeware. After using this Epson unit, I have to admit I've been living wrong. The footprint is not much larger than my old HP printer, alone. The copier function is surprisingly fast and the fax has automatic multiple-page feed. The photo printing is unbelievably crisp and, in my tests, the colors are the most faithful to the original images of any home printer I've used. The wireless connection installed with no difficulty, whatsoever. The touch-screen controls make choosing among the various functions simple. What remains to be seen is the cost of operation. I gave up on HP printers when they decided to hardwire in a function that disables printing on a schedule of their choosing, forcing the user to buy fresh cartridges regardless of actual ink use. I'm hoping Epson, as a company, proves to have more class than that. The one caution I would pass along is that many of the components--such as the paper and CD trays--are of a very thin plastic. For a careful home user this might not be a problem, but I am skeptical it will stand up to any more than light to moderate use. However, considering all its positive features, I think this is a very nice printer and, especially at the discounted price, a good value.

I got this printer to print photos for my business. When printing 4x6 borderless, it smudges ink across the top and leaves a white gap at the bottom. Customer service agent barely spoke English and couldn't help me with the problem. Solved it myself after two hours of Google searches.Then I tried some letter size photo paper only to find it won't load it. Spins wheels and beeps at you. Take some paper out, bend the edges up, shake the tray, tip the printer back.... nothing works. I got a total of 3 pages to print in an hour of messing with it.Called Epson, Paul from Bangledesh tells me it is the paper I am using. I mention I have 7 other printers, some epsons that use the paper just fine and have for the three years I have run my business. Still no answers. They offer to send me a new one if I ship their back to them. I agree. Spend $35 to ship it back, get a brand new printer. Same problem.SAVE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER.

I wasn't sure this cover was going to be worth the money, but once it arrived and I put it on my 3880, I had no doubts. Excellent product! Fits great! ..and yes I do have the rear paper feeder attached. If you want to protect your printer in style with a cover that will easily last the life of the printer, I would definitely go for it!

This paper is well finished and prints and feeds well in my large format printer. Single weight does not feed or print consistently well, this Double Weight does. Prints hold up well too with this.

After looking at three printers(HP,Epson 837,and Epson 840)We decided to take a chance on the Artisan 837..The reason was that it seemed to have all the features we were looking for and although we are HP fans we did not really like their current offerings. It took three days to get here (Amazon Prime is worth it if you have not gotten it yet)once we opened it and went through the directions it took about 25 minutes to set up. I had no problems setting it up to WiFi (Windows or our Mac Products)and the drivers I installed on my laptop were from the website not the CD (Although my wife did use the CD for two other computers and had no problems). I must admit I was worried about how it would work based on some of the reviews written but I will say to those that are considering this product that it's quiet,fast, and easy to use. A definite BUY...!As far as set up is concerned, I would advise you to read the directions carefully as you can get yourself in trouble by rushing through this step. We found the directions easy to follow and like I stated earlier we were printing about 25 minutes from un-boxing to printed test page.(Including downloading apps and printing photos from the iPad)The picture printing quality is superb and the paper printing is also top notch.

The Epson Artisan 837 creates great photos, has an abundance of features, and cheap ink which after years of using HP's multi fax/printer/scanner is a much needed relief. This MFP includes just about everything you will need and includes a touch screen panel, and fast photo speeds. Its definitely on par with my HP C6180 MFP, but time will tell if its better. I wlll be sure to update my review if that does indeed become the case.The photos that I have created so far have been absolutely stunning. The wireless feature setup is a breeze and it offers both WPS and Wi-Fi. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. The design is impeccable and definitely a sign of things to come in the near future. The LCD's are very straightforward and even the most nimble user should find it user friendly. The paper handling feature is pretty good and the MFP easily handles CD/DVD's.As I stated earlier the printing speed is very fast. The scanning and copying speeds have thus far been right behind. I was happy to receive this and SO far it appears that the cost of Ink will not be the roof, however time will tell. Overall the MFP offers full connectivity, good performance, excellent print quality, and many other features. If your an HP junkie like I have been for years I'd say give this Artisan 837 a shot.

I originally purchased the Epson Artisan 810, and after 11 months, the auto document feeder broke and wouldn't feed paper (kept jamming.) Epson sent me a refurbished replacement, and after 14 months, the main paper tray stopped feeding (kept jamming.) So last week, I purchased the Epson Artisan 837, hoping that the newest model had been updated with more reliable mechanicals. Unfortunately, as I tried to fax my accountant my signed tax return this evening, using the fax for the first time, I found that the auto document feeder of this brand new model is broken. It only feeds paper halfway and then gets jammed. Seems like I need to find a different manufacturer who makes more reliable printers.

I was very disappointed at first with this printer. Because I had a MAC OS 10.6, I was not able to use the wireless feature when scanning, so I had to hook up using a USB cable to scan. I also had to use the touch panel. I was not able to scan a multiple page document to a single document and the paper feeder did not work while scanning. After many hours online with TECH SUPPORT both at Epson and Best Buy, I found the solution. MAC users need to download a driver on the Epson web site. Go to Epson.com. Click Drivers and Support/All in One Printers/All in One/Epson 837/Macintosh Drivers and Downloads/Epson Scan Utility v3.78. This will put the Epson Scan application on your computer's desktop. Using this to scan rather than the touch panel will enable you to easily use the automatic feeder as well as to be able to scan multiple pages to one document. I wish someone out there had told me about it. After that, the product is awesome.

I used to own an HP Photosmart all in one c309a. This Epson beats it hands down. It's software was easy to install; our stuff gets printed quickly and the photo quality is exceptional. It also seems to run through the ink less quickly than our old HP.My husband had to scan a bunch of photos to make a presentation for his father's 80th birthday party and it did the job quickly and efficiently compared to his mom's newest and latest HP touch screen model. Our old HPc309 couldn't have even handled that job as it was an absolute lemon. We absolutely love the Epson Artisan 837 and are considering buying another. Perhaps my opinions of the Epson are colored by our horrible HP c309a experience, but it is wonderful to finally have a printer that exceeds our expectations and does what we ask of it without "tripping up" every time.

I'm REALLY surprised this printer is being reviewed so highly.1. It doesn't scan wirelessly. What's the point of having a wireless printer if you have to keep plugging it in to scan?2. I copied in 8.5 x 11 "borderless" and the copy is longer then the original, enough so the copy falls off the end of the page.2. I could NOT get this thing to print 8.5 x 11 borderless from a mac.3. It creates a margin on the bottom of the page that kicks everything up (or to the left in landscape), no luck in printing on true center.4. Door opens automatically when you print and then dumps your copy onto the floor.5. If you don't want your photo and prints on the floor there's a flimsy tray you can pull out that feels easily breakable.6 Paper tray is small.If you're going to print the occasional 4x6 photo, or recipes, or a term paper, I'm sure it will work fine. The interface is user-friendly and set up was painless which is why I gave it 2 stars. A guy at Staples tried desperately to talk me into a Canon but they were issuing $50 credit on recycling your old printer for Epsons (so I caved). Now I'm kicking myself.

Simple and headache free. Everything works as it's suppose to. A very smart printer and so user friendly.Installing cartridges was super easy...there are 6 of them.There's a touch screen control panel that is super responsive, clear and user friendly.There's a separate section for smaller photo paper (4x6 and 5x7), which I love because you don't have to remove the 8x11 paper to print photos.Printer is heavier than what I'm used to and larger, but it still fit comfortably on my small printer stand, but be careful to check the measurements if your stand is small. The printer is solid and well made, and extremely nice looking.The entire printer is enclosed to keep dust out of your printer. When you start to print, the front door automatically opens (love it!)...something I am always forgetting to do, open that printer door. Although you still need to pull out the output paper tray, at least the paper won't get crushed inside the printer by a blocked door.Faxing is simple..This is my first fax and I am in heaven...I couldn't believe how simple.Scanning was amazing. When I increased the default resolution to it's maximum setting, I scanned an old picture and it picked up the dust on the picture. Also the picture I printed looked fantastic.I connected mine to router and installed software on both pc's and works wonderfully. I highly recommend this printer.

I cannot imagine Epson getting any repeat customers after this atrocity of a printer! The problems: (1) If one ink cartridge needs replacing, the whole printer shuts down - you cannot use the scanner; (2) I'd estimate a cartridge's life to be about 50 prints; and (3) The biggest "surprise" of all, after a littler over 500 total prints, the internal counters are set to give you an "Inkpad" error message, recommending you to purchase a new printer since the pads are expensive to replace. Your purchase dollars do not go far with this printer. Avoid!

Printer was received November 3. Installation was done on November 11 but failed because printer would not recognize ink cartridges. Calls to Epson on November 11 and November 15 received promises to overnight new cartridges. None were ever received.I bought new cartridges at Amazon and Staples; and these were tried on November 29. Printer would not recognize them.Amazon return request was submitted November 29. First email from seller, "LowPriceFastShipping," claimed I was beyond thirty-day return period and that they would consider making an exception. I furnished UPS tracking info showing November 3 delivery. Now seller seems now cooperative but did not immediately agree to accept a return.I will avoid this seller and this printer in the future.Dec 2 - Amazon gave me a full refund after my third call to them today. Seller never agreed to a refund and kept asking for more time to review the matter. Dead-on-arrival printer sits in my office repacked in its original box and will go in the dumpster since Amazon said they do not want it back. I grade this Amazon - B, LowPriceFastShipping - F, Epson - F.

I purchased an Epson Artisan printer almost 3 years ago and three week ago I received an error message that the ink pads were nearing their end of life.Epson offers a Inkpad Reset Utility on their website that will reset the counter, but the error message returned within a week, after another reset three days later and then another reset the end of life message will not go away. Epson Support states that the inkpads are not a user replaceable item, I can send the printer in for service or they will offer me a discount through their loyalty program. This is a disposable printer.The inkpads are easy to get to and should be replaceable. A very poor engineering/design decision by Epson.

When it prints the print quality is fine. I have set up both wireless & USB connection. Wireless says I am connected but when i go to print nothing happens so I reinstalled using the USB cable.With USB it will print but after I send something to the cue I have turn off the printer & restart it then the print comes out! I have to do this for EACH new document sent!Will call Customer Support and see what happens.

The Epson artisan 837 color inkjet wireless all-in-one is a perfect home office solution printer. This printer installed quickly on my home network. From its color touch panel display to its ease-of-use, it is really a great printer. I have been downloading audio books for my daughter, and I have a stack of printable CD-ROMs, the white ones. Because this printer has a built in CD-ROM printer, I was able to print authentic looking CD-ROMs, like the ones you purchase in the store.My only complaint is the ink cartridges are kind of small, but so far they've lasted for quite a few prints. I'm not one to print out my own photographs because much cheaper unit printed at my local drugstore than the cost of the paper and ink. But for general printing and even CD-ROM printing can't think of a better printer small home office.Thank you very much for reading my review.

We've had the epson artisan 837 for about 7 weeks now and had to replace the cartridges that came with the printer. This is where the trouble begins. The replacement cartridges we bought are authentic epson cartridges and the damn thing says it doesn't recognize the cartridges. We have reseated and rebooted this thing until we're ready to throw it out the window. It's going back tomorrow. Oh another neat feature, even if you only have one color cartridge that is low or out it won't even let you print anything, not even something in black. You are forced to go buy a replacement cartridge for the one that it deems empty before it will let you print. I don't know what kind of animal you have to sacrifice to get this thing to work but all the positive reviews have GOT to be done by epson marketing people. DO NOT BE FOOLED, this thing is junk! On top of all that I just spent $90 to buy all new ink and it still doesn't work! Back to HP for me! Oh and the one star is being kind but Amazon won't let me rate lower.

Wow! I am really happy with this printer. We had a really nice printer a while back and my son accidentally broke it. The printer we bought to replace it was OK but not great, so I was very excited when given the opportunity to try this printer. I had very high hopes and it did not let me down.Setup was super easy (according to my husband who always does our electronics setups). It connected to our wireless network without a problem. We use a dual-band N Router. We have been able to print from our Mac, our PC (running Windows 7) AND our iPad. Yeah!Print speed and quality are excellent. I was totally amazed by the quality of the photos I printed. It looked like I got them professionally printed. Of course, I printed them on the ultra-premium photo paper samples that came with the printer and that might have something to do with the professional quality, but even with ultra-premium paper, my other printers never produced photos this nice.I haven't tried the fax machine part yet, but I like that it has a manual mode so we can turn the fax part on only when needed. (Previous printer/faxes have interfered with our voicemail when turned to the "auto on" setting for the fax.)All in all this is a great, easy to setup and use printer. I highly recommend it.

There are two things which attracted me to this printer: the capability to scan documents by placing up to 30 pages on the document feeder, and dual-side printing. I've been looking for a scanner that has a document feeder to scan lots of documents that I have and they tend to be very pricy! This printer does that for a better price. I have all Macs in my house running OS Lion. I downloaded the drivers from Epson's website. I am able to scan using the builtin scanning program in the Mac. However, the OCR that says is included for PC obviously does not work on the Mac (unless you are willing to spend lots of money to buy it again). I bought one at the app store that works great, allowing me to search my pdfs.As far as printing is concerned, the quality is very good. It does not looks as crisp as a laser printer (which I also have) but no complains. Setting it up was very easy to do. The touch screen is very intuitive. Once it is connected to the wireless network, I am even able to print from my iPhone without having to install anything else.Overall, I would highly recommend this printer/scanner/copier/fax!

I had owned the Epsom printer model for the previous year, and I had generally been as happy with it as you could be with any home-quality all-in-one printer. You were going to get a good printer, a decent copier, an average photo printer, and not much else , all of which would cost you a great amount of money for ink. Therefore, I was happy to note that many of the weaknesses of the previous model were fixed with this one. Printing speed is much improved, and it does a fine job at two-sided printing for most home uses. The scanner is fast and effective, and the top-loading copier feeder is a nice touch. I still find the photo printing to be a bit weak,with the quality varying widely from one printing to the next, and some of the features (coloring book pages?) are gimmicky at best. I was not happy to find a touchscreen on this model, but it is surprisingly responsive and works quite well.All in all, the news Epson model is a fine choice for most home printing needs. It even uses the same ink cartridges as the last model, so those seeking the upgrade will not have to start from the beginning.

This epson is really great! Took twenty minutes to install and activate wireless printing. A record for any printer I've ever installed...especially wireless!!. It uses six ink cartridges that give a stunning color palette for photos and it doubles as a fax-scan-copy machine as well. It's extemely well built, feels solid and everything is automated for you. The touch screen is large and intuitive. The software takes everything into account including driver updates when you install so the process becomes incredibly easy for an amateur like me. It also offers duplex printing (both sides of paper) which is the feature I was really interested in. However, after having tested it on some 4X6 photos it will instead become my primary photo printer as the results were breathtaking. It has a large footprint so make sure you have room - but nothing on it is flimsy or looks like it'll break with standard use. That alone is worth the price these day....that and the duplex printing is a deal maker for me. I'm happy with it and the great photo quality was a added plus I didn't expect despite the product description. I mean who would have ever expected truth in advertising???

This is the best printer that I ever owned. In the past I have been using HP printers, but lately the HP software AND hardware have a lot to be desired.The only improvement that I can see on this 837 is to have PDF copy both sides at one time. One more thing, I experenced paper jams in the slide out tray untilI figured out it was the paper. I was using 20lb. paper which was fine for the HP printer but for the Epson you need at least 24lb. paper.

2 stars due to the following problems:(1) The installation CD did not recognize my Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit). I had to spend two hours with people in India to install the printer driver. All in all, I spent 4 hours to install the printer driver. I've been installing devices and software for two decades (and I consider myself a power user) but this by far is the most painful one. Lesson learned: if you use Windows 7, don't bother to use the installation CD. Go to epson.com/support and download the driver.(2) There is no pdf version of the manual. I like to print out the manual and flip through it but I can't do it.(3) Even there is still paper in the paper tray, the printer says that I am either out of paper or paper jam. What a dumb printer! For the first time, I thought that there was really a paper jam. I had to take out many parts (it was a difficult process) but I couldn't see any paper. After I added additional paper to the paper tray, the paper jam error went away.I am reducing one star for each of the above problems because Epson should do a better job than this.

We bought this for our college so I could print to CD's & DVD's. It does a wonderful job printing to these as well as to paper. It is nice having the duplexing capability too. I haven't tried printing photos yet, but if it is like other Epson printers I have used it will do a great job.

This is a nice printer, especially for printing pictures, but it goes through ink and replacement ink is pretty spendy.Installation was fairly easy, I was able to do it on my own and I'm not someone who likes to set up electronics. But the instructions were simple and easy to follow. You will need a USB cord if you want to directly hook it up to your computer, it does not come with one.Pros+ Easy to set up+ Simple features easily accessed on LCD screen+ Easy to clean-everything is contained so it's easy to clean and dust off+ Ink easy to install+ High quality prints-the color is fantastic and the print quailty seriously amazing especially on well-lighted pictures+ Scan and Fax both easy to use with instructions that walk you through set up+ Beeps to remind you to remove document after scanning-I really like this feature as I'm always forgetting to do soCons- Paper tray construction is plastic and you have to be careful when using it- Goes through ink too quickly and the ink is expensive to replace- If one ink color runs out, you can't print or use it. This is my biggest issue with it

This is a great printer and it came well packaged. The touch screen is responsive and menus are well laid out. Wi-Fi setup is very easy although you do need to install the software from the CD or from Epson's site onto your computer.The automatic document feeder for the scanner works well and the quality of scanned documents is great. The printer it will automatically save the last PC you scan something to and then you can continue to scan from the printer to that PC without going to the PC which saves a lot of time. It's got multiple trays so you can load it with both photo and regular paper and are not always swapping out paper. Navigating through and choosing pictures to print from a memory card is also straightforward. Duplex printing works.There are very few negatives but the glossy surfaces of the printer do attract fingerprints. Also, there's no easy way to do duplex scanning (which is more of a nice-to-have, but would be nice to see in the future).

I've scanned & printed pictures, documents and envelopes and it has worked great. Printed pictures were amazing (better then my old RX500). The printer's screen is clear & bright and the directions are easy to follow. Not crazy about the location of the output but that's minor. Hasn't jammed yet and I've had it about a month. I have not used the fax because I PDF everything and send by email.

A first test for me with any electronic device is how easy it is to setup. This had to be one of the easiest devices I have used in terms of getting out of the box and then connecting both to my MacBook and also a Windows 7 machine. There was no problem connecting the printer to my wireless network and then finding/loading drivers.I have used this unit mostly for simple printing, but also to make scans, make copies, and also send/receive some faxes - the unit does all of these things well. I used this machine to replace a similar HP laserjet and think do prefer this machine in terms of its smaller size and generally more quiet operation.This is a very good machine - I recommend without hesitation!

I bought this machine to primarily print color photo's of my paintings on various papers, and to print note cards, which I sell. With all types of paper (even standard office paper), the paper feeder jams or takes 2-3 sheets per image leaving you to feed the paper one sheet at a time. While it's probable the paper feeder is broken, I am now told by the company to never use Avery note cards or business cards with Epson products-the paper is too heavy! I can't believe no one mentions this. As soon as my replacement printer comes I plan on selling the machine!

Maybe they changed their manufacturing process, but mine is a piece of junk. It is incapable of pulling only one piece of paper through at a time. Every single thing I print has 4-6 pages blank pages behind it. So when I print a document that is 10 pages, WOW what a mess. I just love having to thumb through every single page removing the extras. No, its not the paper. I have two HPs here that have no issues with my paper, but for kicks I did run out and pick up two reams of different brands, same issue.The last HP that I purchased (c309a) is also junk. I wish Fijitsu would produce a printer, their ScanSnap scanner has been the most awesome piece of office equipment that I've purchased the past few years. I guess I'm doomed when it comes to the printers.

As I am typing this I am trying to get the printer to accept the card stock that I am using to make Valentines for my daughter. This printer will do fine with regular paper but I have never had such problems as I have with this printer with printing on card stock. I have spent more time trying to get this thing to print than I spent making the document. Also, the "touch" screen is very difficult to use. I have to press very hard in "just" the right spot to get it to do what I need it to do. I was very excited to get this printer but after 6 months I am just about ready to trash it!

I've been using this Epson Artisan for about a month now and I like it. I am amazed that these days you can get an awesome do-everything home printer for less than $200 - then again printers seem to have evolved to the razor blade model (eg; make the profit on the razor blades/ ink refills).The most important feature to me is wireless so I can hide my printer somewhere and this printer has it - getting it online was a snap to me. Form factor is compact compared to my last printer so I was able to tuck it into a cabinet. Overall setup and controls easy to use - no issues for me. Features easy to use - nice user friendly control panel. Printing nice and fast and colors look good. Scanning/Fax easy for me to use. Ability to print double-sided is nice - saves a few trees. Notable that my 9-year old son uses it too no problem. Haven't run out of ink yet so can't comment on refill costs.Overall, 5 stars for my performance experience and considering price/value.

I replaced my ancient HP Officejet All-in-One Printer with the EpsomArtisan.The scan feature on both machines seems a bit compromised for a Mac. I finally was able to usethat feature on the Artisan with much trial and error. The end result was a clean copy. Printing is goodand efficient, and faxing went smoothly. When printing additional sheets of paper end up shooting out. Itmay be that their not snugly lined up in the paper tray? I have yet to copy or print photos, which I plan to do.I'm overall satisfied with the product, albeit I found the HP Printer to be very user friendly and reliable, and wouldprobably return to that brand instead.

I just purchased this printer after researching quite a few. It's replacing a canon mx860. I wanted a true wireless printer for my home network that can handle AirPrint. The kicker that decided this was a 100 dollar discount at Best Buy this week. Set up is wireless and easy. The only glitch was it took three tries for my network password to be accepted. It performs as expected on Lion and with Windows running boot camp. I recommend this printer.Follow-up: now about a year later I have to add one negative-the paper does jam too frequently and/or blank pages will spit out along with the printed one.

This All-In-One printer/scanner/FAX was very easy to install and recognized my wireless network right away. It had very easy instructions. Setup on my Mac was very fast. I was able to print, scan and fax with no trouble from my Mac and Windows machine and my iPad.The printer paper is easy to load and can hold both photo and regular paper at the same time (no need to take one out to put in the other). The feeder cover closes (unlike my other printer) so no dust gets in there. It's sleek looking with a nice midnight blue color, although a bit wider than my old unit.I don't print photos at home so I can't speak to the quality of the prints, but plain paper print quality was good enough for my uses. Recommended.Update: I upgraded my Mac OS to Snow Leopard, and I was no longer able to print to the Epson. This is a common problem, but the solution was simple. I downloaded a free, Open Source Gutenprint printer driver. Set up was very fast, and it works flawlessly.

I bought one of these last August. I use the printer infrequently. When I went to print out my Christmas newsletter, it would stop printing mid-page, and the printing was not straight due to paper feed problems. I spent hours on the phone with Epson, and eventually got a replacement sent to me. The replacement printer had the exact same problem. I tried lots of different kinds of paper to no avail. In spite of the fact that I had good luck with my previous Epson printer, I have given up on Epson, and have decided to trash the printer and all the extra ink I bought. Very disappointed!!!

This is a great all-in-one device. Very user friendly and the setup process is easier as well. I think the cost is very competitive as well. So far no major issues. Print quality is great. Recommended.

A very nice all purpose printer. Great quality on the color, easy to load and set up. One weak link is the wireless connection to print from an I-phone. I live rurally without a wireless network and it appears the printer and phone can not work together without a network. This could have been a Bluetooth connection or allowed the USB connection. That aside, a good machine.
