I purchased this scanner to scan photographs, but more importantly, negatives.
The process of scanning negatives is very easy, as you can see in the video. The results are impressive, even for our negatives which were taken in the 1970s and 1980s.
Overall, if you have lots of negatives to scan, go for this one. If not, you may find that Epson Perfection V37 Photo 4800 dpi scanner with ReadyScan LED technology better for your needs (as it is slightly cheaper, and doesn't scan negatives).

Despite reading some critical reports I have found it simple to use and have produced good digitised copies of colour slides with it.with it.

This is an excellent scanner for the price - I'm really impressed with the quality of the scans at 2400dpi. This scanner to my mind is ideal for those of us who have 50 year old slides and want to bring them back to life.

I bought the scanner to replace my previous Perfection which does not have a Windows7 driver. The new unit seems to do everything the old one does, with high quality images, and a very superior OCR facility. On the down side it is a bit bigger than the old one, and the cables are not well sited for my desk layout (they emerge from the side instead of the back). It does exactly the job required.

Very pleased with the delivery and also with the performance of this product. It does everything I required being able to scan four slides at once.

Despite the box and Amazon description stating this scanner works with Mac it does not . Why because the chip inside the scanner is only capable of working with OSX10.5 and current editions of Mac are now up to 10.9. Out of date scanner sold as state of art. Misdescribed clearly. Be warned

I thought this model would scan medium format films and bought this model first. This model only scans film upto 35mm so I exchanged for the V550 which does scan the larger format films (upto medium). Exchange was seamless.

Easy to use, good results from negatives and old photos which you can sharpen up if necessary with in any photo editing software. It takes 6 negatives at a time so I cut some of my 4 negative strips in half to add to another single one - when you get into routine it certainly speeds up process and works really well. Really pleased with purchase and would recommend.

My previous scanner - an earlier Epson model - suddenly decided it didn't like the current updates of my Mac and laptop and became incompatible. After wasting considerable time - and enlisting technical help - in trying to reconcile matters I have now invested in the Epson Perfection V370 and everything is performing well ….. so far. I just have this sneaky suspicion that the same problems may arise in the future.

We were looking for a scanner to digitise our old slides and negatives that were deteriorating with age, this fits the bill perfectly. It is easy to set up and use, good quality and the reproductions are sometimes better than the prints.
It is not quick but I expected that for the price and seeing other reviews, I just put a run of 4 negatives in and leave it to do its job whilst I get on with other things like typing this review - I'm not very patient! My main concern about buying a scanner was that it wouldn't get used after scanning all our photos but this scanner is far cheaper than paying an organisation to do it for you if you have a lot of photos. I've nearly finished our photos and will go on to do mother-in-laws and mum's, after that it will be used to create PDFs and as a photocopier and of course further scanning when required. Bye the way you can copy documents to send via email straight from the scanner so a very useful piece of kit.

A well-made scanner with a fairly full range of photo-processing options. Software easy to install. Results have been satisfactory so far.

Works well and easy to set up. But the positioning of the cable sockets and the side-hinged lid don't work as well for me as keeping them at the rear.

Although I have only had this scanner a short time, I have used it a number of times and find it does all I need and more. The quality of the scans - photographs and documents are super. The software is intuitive and very easy to use. Some may say that the lid is not robust, but for me, I think it just needs to be handled respecfully. My old scanner was a HP all-in-job, a C5820 Photosmart, the Epson is far better. Very pleased with my buy, and well recommended.

Upgraded my iMac to Mountain Lion; tried to use my old scanner and got the dreaded Mountain Lion message about incompatible drivers. Scanner too old for a Mountain Lion driver, therefore buy new scanner. Very pleased as its lid hinges on the long side just like the ones in CSI on TV; a very definite improvement as the old one used to push things crooked as you lowered the lid along their length, and the scan quality is fast and very very good. Came very quickly and no fuss installing the software, all in all an extremely rewarding experience; thank you, Epson and Amazon.

I needed to scan in a load of photos as Jpegs for a project. It is so easy to use and great quality scans. I have only used the basics and need to spend time really investigating what it can do. But so far it has proved invaluable, will do some slides next.

I discovered hundreds of old slides, when clearing out a cupboard, some of them 40 years old. I considered sending them off to a specialist but found the cost prohibitive. I then researched Scanners on the web and decided upon the V370. I have no regrets. It is doing the job, simply and effectively. I am delighted with the results and the ability to bring to life, some very old slides. It. May take me a long time to scan them all, but the ability and flexibility this product gives me, makes the process a delight. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.
