Работает с D-Link Dir 300!
На расстоянии 10-12м сквозь две кирпичные стены и одну деревянную дверь-сигнал отличный.В комплекте идёт usb-cradle!
В общем только положительные впечатления!
Брал менее 500 р. - - -малая пропускная способность. Не знаю, что было причиной, адаптер или роутер D-link DIR-300, но торренты сеть вешали напрочь.
-большой, блокирует соседние USB-порты.
-последний раз пытался пользоваться им из-под Ubuntu, и скорость не поднималась выше 15 Кб/с. Вероятно, с драйверами проблема.
-поскрипывает при нажатии на корпус.
Хороший выбор для хождение по интернету, почты, чатов. Вполне подойдет для старых ноутбуков, в которых нет wifi. Правда, дальнобойность его я не изучал. Что-то тяжелое (качалки, торренты) - не тянет. По отношениям с Linux все сказано.

Смотреть фильм с локальной сети можно, но периодически тормоза просто вымораживают, при том что точка доступа (кстати тоже Dlink, G604T) стоит в соседней комнате. Два проверенных ноута (FS Amilo Pro, Acer Aspire One 110) с такой же задачей справляются играючи, на той же точке доступа!

При первом подключении отлично ловил сеть и держал связь, после полчаса работы сеть пропала и коннектился на расстоянии не больше 15 метров от ТД. Подходит для работы на малом расстоянии, но часто происходит потеря сети из виду! Обновление драйверов не помогло!!!!!! Сдал в магазин!

I went looking for a DWA-140 since I've been using one for the last 2 years without hassle. It's really been great. I've just put together a HTPC and I want to add it to my wireless network. I thought I hit gold when I saw the DWA-160 for $8 less. My D-Link DIR-655 router is not dual band, but I figured "why pay for a 140 when I can get a 160 for cheaper, and still utilize the 2.4GHz band?". I noticed that there was an alarming number of poor ratings for this device in the reviews, but didn't take it to heart because I've been so happy with the DWA-140.From experience with my DWA-140 I've found that the standard windows drivers work better (D-Link's drivers dropped packets like hot potatoes, which isn't a big deal when browsing the web, but very visible during gaming), so when the DWA-160 arrived I didn't even take the driver disk out...just plugged it straight in. Windows 7 had no drivers for it though, so I had to install the D-Link drivers. That's when I noticed scribbles in blue pen on the driver disk sleeve...this product was supposed to be new, could it be used or refurbished?Anyway, it connected to the network just fine and I started copying some data across from my PC with the DWA-140. Browsing the folders didn't seem sluggish, but I noticed that I was getting < 1MB/s speeds while copying, so investigated at once: logging onto the router revealed that the DWA-160 was only connected at 35Mbps while I could see the DWA-140 connected at 270Mbps. The DWA-140 is a room further away from the router than was the DWA-160! So I decided to update the drivers, but no luck. I then decided to take the DWA-140 and test it in this exact location: 270Mbps connection.I then had a closer look at the reviews and did some investigating of my own. Turns out I got a revision A2 model. Supposedly revision B uses a different chipset which yields better results; too bad you don't know what revision you'll get at the time you place the order! I've packaged this thing already and it's ready for return to Amazon. I've also already ordered the replacement: a DWA-140. I haven't been able to test a revision B of the DWA-160, but customers seem to be happier with it in general.I would advise NOT to buy this product unless you can verify beforehand that it is in fact a revision B model. I will also state that I'm a software engineer, so I know my way around these things...hence the reason I return it less than 6 hours after receiving it without even bothering to try D-Link support - this device is faulty, plain and simple.HW version A2, FW version 1.60Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Edit: My laptop's Operating SystemWindows 7 Home Premium 64-bitI bought the D-Link DWA-125 from Newegg on 6/14/2012 and it died on 7/3/2012. I just assume that this adapter's life is low, somewhat defective, or my laptop gave it a problem. The led was off, the adapter felt hot at the time, and replugging won't work.In my entire life, I would usually visit every weekends between my house and my dad house, and now, his new home. They won't be signing up with any service providers so we have to use our neighbors (via our friends) internet. My laptop's wifi can connect to their router, but the connection is so bad and slow that it take around 30 seconds to load per page. So I began to notice that my dad's home computer has a D-Link adapter, and when I tried connecting it to my laptop, I am getting more speeds than before. That is the reason why I bought this.And so I bought it and the speed were great, using as much whatever available Mbps(speedtest). While using the adapter, I did feel heat coming from the adapter, and since I use it all the time, it would just feel hot on and on whenever I use it. I've heard and seen reviews pointing out at D-Link's product that heats up as a problem (The D-Link DIR-655 for example).I took off two stars, assuming that such adapter can heat up and can burn out or w/e the cases, it's durability isn't that great. Although I want to get a replacement, I don't want to risk another adapter to burn out and I will look for a much durable adapter I can find.

I ordered this adapter for another computer in my home. I wasn't sure how hard it would be to hook up because I have never hooked one of these up! I was amazed at how easy it was to hook up! I haven't had the chance to test it out really good yet, but the signal seems to be strong. I will have to try it out when both computers are online to see if the signal will weaken. I will have to post a follow-up on this review!

I had one of these already and wanted another for my other computer. You can't beat the price, some wanted $70 for the same item. It is easy to set up and works very well. Be sure you have a D-Link router. The hook up is almost automatic. You can trust this product to deliver what you want. Highly recommended..

I'm using this in my home to extend the range of my wireless Internet router. I hooked it up to my old HP Presario Tower, running Microsoft XP, using the USB cable and it works beautifully. Easy connectivity with the CD-ROM installation software. I highly recommend this product if you want to go completely wireless in your home or office.

First, let me say that normally, I LOVE D-Link equipment. I have a DIR 855 Dual Band Wireless router that is EXCELLENT. It outperforms my previous Linksys WRVS4400N and Watchguard XTM-23W. It is more stable, requires fewer reboots, and provides better overall throughput.So, when my newest (home built - Quad Core, ASUS Rampage III Extreme Motherboard, Windows 7 Ultimate - all my computers are home built except laptops) computer started dropping connections using an older Linksys Wireless G adapter, I figured that pairing a Wireless N D-Link adapter (a dual band one, just like the router) would provide the best/most compatible combination and hence the best performance. So, I installed the software, got connected to the wireless connection, and bam, it drops the connection. It will connect, then almost immediately disconnect. WHAT KIND OF JUNK are they selling? After several attempts at this, I got the dreaded BSOD... This is the FIRST BSOD I have ever had with this computer - THANK YOU DLINK...I called DLINK and got someone on tech support that was reading from some type of script. This person clearly didn't have a technical thought in their brain. I'm surprised that people like this get hired for tech-support jobs at all. Then, I was transferred to their second level support.This IDIOT who CLAIMED to be a technical person was trying to tell me that anti-virus software would SHUT DOWN MY SYSTEM if it detected driver software being installed !!! I couldn't believe it - this was a SECOND LEVEL person!So, bottom line, this POS is getting shipped back to Amazon and my relationship with D-Link has terminated. I will never buy another piece of D-Link hardware, period.This product got 1 star only because that was a low as it can go...The only way to make manufacturers ship quality product is to boycott them until they do.

Fedora 18 is able to drive this and so it Win-7 obviously. The speed is another story and 54 Mbps on 2.4 GHz band is what it is comfortable with.

This adapter worked seamlessly with my Medialink wireless router! Easy setup, love it !! ( My router is Medialink Wireless N Router - 802.11n - 150 Mbps - 2.4 Ghz - NEW Design w/ Internal Antenna ).Have many computers, XP, Windows 7 64 bit......Had other adapters in house that did not work...This works even with my laptop. Very easy installation, long as you have your wireless router and network details on hand.

I needed some extra space on my computer I built. I pulled the Extreme d-Link Pci-e adapter out and put my AMD TV tuner back in, and bought this USB Extreme adapter and Voila! I was getting great internet signal strength from USB and freed some Pci-e space. I loaded the drivers once. I can't remember now if I used the CD driver or went straight to the website for drivers, but that was it. No tinkering ever again, same as the Extreme D-Link Pci-e adapter. Trouble free.I have an i7 core Intel system with 8gbs of RAM and Windows7professional. If you need some space this worked for me in a no-brainer hookup. Grabs the proper signal on start up every time.
