I ordered this for my mac book pro 2009 model to upgrade from 4gb to 6gb...It fitted good and works good....Till now no issues with it and even got it withing 2 days...

I have a Macbook Pro Mid 2010 and tried two sets of this "Apple" memory from Corsair. Never worked and all I got was kernel panics. Returned to Amazon (return process is awesome). Ended up going with PNY.

I read about this item as much as I could, and it seemed perfect for my Apple laptop. I ordered it, and it turned out that there is some spec issue with it, so I had to return it. I do not feel that Corsair does a good job of identifying exactly what RAM you should get.

Received the RAM quickly. Updated my Late 2009 unibody MacBook with the latest OSX (mountain lion) and stuck the RAM in. It didn't boot at first. I took both sticks out and inserted one, it booted fine. Finally I inserted the second one and it booted up with 8GB of RAM.

I purchased a 2010 Mac mini from a relative recently and set out to upgrade the memory. I removed one of the one gig chips and installed this 4 gig chip and the difference is night and day.

It's Corsair memory, which means it will work exactly as advertised. Friends and co-workers who saved a few bucks by purchasing generic memory upgrades for their Apple laptops often had intermittent problems, which resolved when this memory module was installed.

Bought a 2009 MacBook Pro the day after I bought it used. Slid right into the slot and was completely compatible with the computer. Want to speed up your system this is the easiest way to do so. I would recommend this as the number one upgrade for any MacBook user out there. I will buy Consair RAM for all my computers from now on. There is nothing more to say than buy it if you need it.

I have used lots of Memory modules over the years, and Corsair has come to be one of my top choices when making a purchase. I recently obtained the Corsair [Apple Approved] 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 1066 PC3-8500 DDR3 Memory for my Macbook Pro 13" (Late 2009 - 2010 model). The memory itself worked on boot up no issues, and as far as the installation on the macbook pro, its not so bad. Granted the install is a lot different than that of the white MacBooks, but it is still pretty simple. All that is required is a small screwdriver and some patience. There are many tutorials on how to do this on Youtube, pretty much its as simple as removing 10 little screws (I would highly recommend keeping them in order, as at least 3 of the screws are longer and must go back in specific holes) and having somewhere to place them safe so they don't fall or get lost. ** Of course as always due care is required when touching or changing components inside your computer, things like a simple static charge on your fingers can be an issue (like when you rub your socks on the ground and shock your friend... not so funny with a computer) **One thing that I noticed while installing my memory, is that the memory type required by the macbook pro changed sometime between 2010 and 2011 so you may want to verify your memory type in "System Profiler" which can be found in your Utility Folder on your Mac. That will usually tell you how much memory you have and what type (i.e. DDR3 1066, or some other type). If you need to know your maximum allowable/recognizable memory, I would recommend searching your model number on Apples Support page.As to system speed improvements going from 4GB to 8GB of memory, I have noticed that my multi-tasking does not slow my computer down as much, and some programs seem to work a little bit better with the extra memory.MacBook Pro 13"2.53Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo8GB 1067 MHz DDR3 (The RAM I purchased and took out of my laptop was "1066", but the OSx calls it "1067" not sure why)Lion OSx

I was under the impression that these would work with my 2010 macbook pro. It does not. Had to return them. I suppose they might work but for my case, even though they match the required specs, they do not for whatever reason work.

If you have a 4Gb 1066 Mac that can upgrade to a maximum 8Gb, don't even think... just BUY IT because your Mac will feel the difference instantly!Mine sure did and I'm pretty happy with this purchase!

This RAM works in the late-2010 unibody Macbook 2.4GHz (the last plastic one). A noticeable difference over the stock 2GB that the Macbook came with. The OS saw the full 8GB (even though the MB only "officially" supports 4GB).

I bought this for my MacBook, late 2009 model (13", white plastic shell). Works perfectly, no crashes, etc. I have boot camp on my machine and run Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO). The Windows 7 64-bit side of my mac also recongized the hardware, no special steps necessary. Just boot and go. It worked so well, that after trying to find used memory for my partners's HP (which uses the same PC3-8500 RAM), I bought a second one of these for that machine.Same result. Perfectly installed, no hassle, no blue-screens, all 8 GB recognized. Couldn't be happier with the performance and the price.The RAM comes in a very slim package too (good for environment). Surprised it wasn't wrapped in anti-static plastic, but hey, the RAM works and is flawless. Thanks Corsair and Amazon!!

This ram worked fine for about a month but then it royally screwed my computer. My macbook started quitting out of my applications unexpectedly, and then I started getting kernel panics. Finally my computer wouldn't even turn on. I took it to the Apple store and they figured out that it was the ram that was affecting my computer.

I used at youtube video to assist me in installation because these don't come with instructions, just common sense. I have very please with the speed of my lap top. It has made multitasking better, especially for those people that use spaces on their mac to organize and switch between applications. This was a good buy, I was not let down and the price was a killer deal.
