Bought this RAM to upgrade a 2011 15" MacBook Pro. Worked fine in the beginning, but in the past couple months I started seeing the tell tale signs of bad RAM: the first kernel panics I had seen on my machine, random app crashes, and other issues haunted me daily. Finally I downloaded and ran a great free program called "Rember", which confirmed what I had suspected: the RAM was failing.Looking through the reviews, it appears about 20% of people who review this item have had the same trouble with it. So my advice to you is look for another brand. A 20% chance of receiving RAM that will land you in random crash hell is not worth the couple bucks required to buy better RAM.

Despite the product description, this did NOT work in my 2010 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo Mac Mini. The only saving grace was that it did work just fine in my 2010 Mac Book Pro. If it didn't work in either computer, this would be a very different review. Because I had a second option it doesn't get one star, but because it didn't work in the machine I originally bought it for it doesn't get 5 stars.The RAM is easy to install. The most difficult step was to remove the RAM from the packaging. When I booted my Mac Mini it only beeped at me every couple seconds. I thought this might happen because other reviewers have reported the non-compatability with the Mini. So now my wife's computer has the 8 GB and mine has the 4 GB that her Mac Book Pro used to have. Alas.

The first kit I received from Amazon was defective. I installed the RAM and got the dreaded triple beep. I swapped in the originals and I was back up and running. The second kit installed without a hitch and passed memory tests.I also have to add that Amazon absolutely has awesome service. I submitted the return on Sunday and I had my replacement RAM on Tuesday with free shipping both ways!

FEEL THE DIFFERENCE... in your pocket and in your wallet. Double the ram at this price compared to APPLE's $400. Installation is quick just be careful as the hardware holding the uni-body strips easily. Make sure you have a good #0 screw driver have it seated and apply pressure straight down onto the screw and you will not have any problems. I noticed a HUGE performance boost with this memory kit now I can run photoshop, Dream Weaver, word, powerpoint, Excel, safari, chrome, and firefox all at once and still run smoothly.

I bought these for my Macbook Pro 13 inches bought in september 2009. I have 4 GB RAM in it now and wanted to upgrade. It should be no problem. But since I installed it my mac keeps crashing frequently. Suddenly I get a warning message in different languages on my screen and I can do nothing but shut it down. It's very frustrating.I found out it happens every time my computer tries to use more than 4 GB RAM memory. Like it's not ready for 8 GB even though it was an option to get 8 GB in the mac when I bought it in 2009. So I can not recommend it if you have the same mac as me... (do you know a solution for this, please contact me!! :

I just installed the new ram on my 2010 Macbook Pro 13.3 inch. I upgraded from 4gb to 8gb, the difference is noticeable as soon as you star up the computer. Installation was a breeze, I bought a basic tool kit which cost me $11, and I youtubed the installation process. Right now I have 4 word documents, iPhoto, 3 internet windows opened, iTunes, Skype and the mail and the computer is still fast. Strongly recommend the upgrade, you can't go wrong for this price.

This RAM worked perfectly when installed in my girlfriends MBP! Very easy to install for those who know what they are doing, for those who do not there is an easy to follow guide on Apple's website. Not much to say about this product other than, it works just as it should.

Though Apple's website says a MacBook 7,1 will only register 4 GB of memory, it actually supports up to 8 GB. I make heavy simultaneous use of MS Word and web browsers, and after the upgrade, my MacBook is lightning fast.

After i switched to lion my RAM usage frequently went over my preinstalled 4 gigs of ram and my computer was running very slow and buggy. I threw 2 sets of this in my iMac 2.66 GHz Intel core i5 running for a total of 16 gigs of RAM. Really sped up everything and my programs quit crashing. I could have easily gotten away with just one set of this, but at this price i figured why not.

After using these memory modules my Mac mini started to have application crashes and even blue screen of death. I tested both modules separately with Apple hardware test application. One of the modules failed during the hardware test. Now I ended up using only one 4gb memory.I would rate this as zero if there would be an option.

Got this for my 2011 Macbook Pro. Was a snap to install and doubled the speed of my CPU processing. A must buy to upgrade your system for gaming, or graphics work.For the price it is a steal!

RAM worked very well in my MacBook Pro, easy installation, went without a hitch. Two weeks later I'm watching a movie and my computer goes into Kernel Panic, giving me a flashing grey screen and to restart. Turns out the RAM died WAY too quickly-and I'm very careful with my computers. Amazon was great about the exchange, had new parts to me the next day. Nice memory, pretty cheap, but definitely buy from Amazon and keep your package around...

Upgrading my MBP to 8 GB has made a huge difference--I should have done this a long time ago! The only downside of this RAM is that the packaging is terrible. I was afraid of breaking the RAM trying to get it out of the hard plastic shell, so I cut the plastic to get to it.

The upgrade was for a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro 13' 2.66ghz came with 4GB and now I can do a whole lot more with out hesitation. I run applications like VirtualDJ Pro and Windows 7 on Parrels... works PERFECT. I wasnt about to may 400 bucks for apples upgrade... 50 bucks WHY NOT... Its working like a champ now...

This memory is great. I popped the 8GB into my Macbook Pro 15" effortlessly and now I run multiple applications simultaneously with ease! Definitely notice the increase in speed and stability, and can't beat the price point here for reliable memory. Not much more to write, but I highly recommend if you want to max out the ram on your macbook!

After reviewing [...] for compatibility, I went and got this for my macbook pro. It works, I'm satisfied, and not much else to say. I was scared I would break the memory stick while removing from the package, that's about it.

Very easy to install. Helps with Safari being a memory hog. Really sped up the system and was definitely an upgrade that I should have purchased right away. I installed this in a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro running OS X 10.7.1. Runs well and with no issues and tested just fine. OS X recognizes and uses all 8GB.

Popped these into my Mid-2010 Macbook Pro using the instructions from Apples's support website. The computer definitely seemed noticeably snappier after the install, especially when launching apps from the dock. For the price, it's definitely worth it!

A little more expensive than I wanted to spend but I didn't want any compatibility issues. Installed in my late 2009 Mac Mini. For those doing the upgrade themselves be very careful with the antennas and make sure they're still attached when you put it back together.

This worked very well with my 2010 Macbook Pro. No problems. Good results.Don't bother looking for something above 1066. The benchmarks show no noticeable improvments, by large.The latency on these is very, very good for the price. I couldn't find a better latency at this pin, ddr3 and 1066.
