The original fan in my computer started making loud noise. So I figured it was time to replace it. So I ordered the Cooler Master. In the meantime, the original fan started functioning normal again. When the Cooler Master arrived, I decided to replace the original anyway. It was easy to install even though the screw openings on the case wasn't threaded. Took off one star for this. There was also extra electrical connections included. To my surprise this fan put out a lot more cooling air than the orignal and kept my case a lot cooler. Can't beat the price for the quality of this fan.

The fan was a good price, cools my system wonderfully, however this is not as silent as advertised. I can hear the fan from down the hall. Since there's no way to control how fast it spins, it's always set for max even when not needed. I don't mind it so much when I'm actively using my computer for games or music or videos. However, just browsing the internet with your fans at full speed gets a little annoying. This is what I needed for now though, I may upgrade in time to a fans with a control on them, or actual "silent" fans.

The fan works beautifully,and the lights are a good look.The one issue that came up was that the screws packaged in didn't fit the screw holes for the fan,however,finding some replacements was a cheap fix.Has adapters if there's already a fan plugged into the board or you just want the fan located in a different part of the tower.For the cost I'd definitely recommend it.

These fans won't last long. Of course, most sleeve bearing fans don't last for years, but these are worse than a lot of them on the market. Cooler Master, because of their name, can market about any junk and people will buy it. It works ok and they're happy, but they just don't last. Yate Loon fans are also sleeve bearing, but last longer. XSPC fans, also sleeve bearing, are a much heftier fan that will last much longer. The XSPC fans even feel more sturdy. If you want the name, then buy this. If you want value, look elsewhere.

This fan was rated at 19 dB. It is so loud I'd say it's well over 30 dB. The only way I can use it is on a controller to put it at minimal rpm.Avoid this fan unless you like having a jet engine in your office.

These are very nice fans but they are loud! I am not sure what I am going to do with them but I will eventually upgrade to some noctua fans or something. 4 stars because they move a lot of air and I would imagine are great for those with tri or quad sli rigs. However I do not think these were the best choice for me. When I build a new computer in a few months I will probably use something more quiet.After about 12hours of use which is leaving the computer on for the day I have had it the bearings are fricken loud and have been shot. Unfortunately I had to take a corner of the fan off so it wouldn't hit my ram but I will be pissed if they don't except a return. It is not my fault the bearings went bad and cutting the corner has nothing to do with it. Maybe I got a dud.2/4/2012I have bumped up the the number of stars due to Amazon.com refunding me for the amount of shipping, and the full price. Thanks Amazon! I will continue to buy stuff from amazon in the future!

I'm using this as an induction fan to pull in air to my PC case from the top. Yes, I know that heat rises. But this ensures proper airflow for my case in conjunction with my other case fans. It works perfectly, but the RPM's could be a bit higher. Sound is quite, and not any louder than the other case fans.

At full speed it is not quiet but it moves more air than my premium cougar fans so for this price im not gonna complain. (especially if you get this with a 5$ rebate)The only slight dissapointment was the green led's. Do not buy this if you are trying to illuminate your case it will only work as a green accent. Picture is very misleading in this regard.This is the fastest moving 120mm fan ive ever seen and i buy ALOT of fans... sort of my thing.

I bought 2 of them. One started rattling fairly badly so I tried to return it to Amazon, but they just refunded my money and didn't require me to send it back so +1 on that. If you hook them up to a controller or the motherboard header they aren't real noisy at less than 50%, but higher than that they tend to rattle. It's not mounting because even holding the housing with my hand wouldn't stop it.Final Verdict: Okay for the price if you don't mind noise at full. If you plan to run them at low RPM's they will be fine. If you don't like noise and need full air flow go somewhere else.

After hooking this up to my water-cooling radiator, my CPU temp went from 50C down to a stable 37C. Its pretty quiet and the blue LEDs give it a nice appeal. I've been assembling computer rigs for about 4 years and I would really recommend this case fan.

came quickly and had a power adapter which is useful if you're using several fans (i have 3 of these). no problems on install and it looks real cool. one of them for some reason is a bit loud but its not too much of a problem. good cheap fan.

This will read very similarly to my review for the Cooler Master R4-S2S-124K-GP.If you have a gaming rig with plenty of noisy fans, then these fans will help move air and not contribute to the noise.If you have an ultra-silent setup like I do with granular fan control, you will be very disappointed.At 100%, the fan blades themselves are still reasonably quiet, and at 60%, the fan blades are inaudible.Unfortunately, even with granular fan control (as low as 20%), the motor creates a noticeable buzzing sound that is a unique sound (ie, not white noise), and is audible over the case, cpu, and gpu fans combined.I moved them to the middle of the computer case (to the internal fan position) thinking it would isolate the noise, but alas, I still hear it.I'm giving it 2 stars because at nearly 3X the cost of the R4-S2S-124K-GP, you're not getting much beyond the blue LED's.

These are cheap, look nice, and work great. They are loud, but that's the price for moving all that air, right? I had to use trial-and-error to figure out the direction the fan would turn, sticker out for sucking, sticker inside for exhaust.keeps my video card coolergreat, cheap fans.

I bought these on another amazon account but I'm reviewing on mine. I put 3 of these in my case, replacing 2 well working cooler master fans that were just non led. At first I was like, these are loud, but then I went into my bios and I turned them down to 75% speed. At 100% they move at 2000rpm and at 75% they move at 1600rpm region. The noise difference between the 2 is a lot and at 75% they cool just as well and have nearly no noise.Pros:Green LEDGood priceGood flowCons:Noisey on 100% speedHorribly hard to screw in at first ( had to literally thread them myself.Overall a great product and I still give it 5 stars because Cooler master never lets me down.

The description is accurate, the fan is light.Moves lots of air, its not noisy, which is extremely important to me.Bought 4 of them to add them to my CM Storm Trooper to the side pannels and bottom of the case.Purchased them on April 5 got them on April 7th with the FREE Super Saver Shipping...YEAH it was fast and free.Cons/Things to consider:1.-The cable should be longer, its too short. Not a deal breaker for me cause I am going to attach them to a fan controller.2.-For Amazon and anyo other retailers: bought each for $9.29 (4/5/12) now April 8th they are at $6.39, not good, there should be a 30 day price match guarantee policy.

This fan is nice, it does it's job and looks pretty. It's quiet;but only if you hold it, and let it hang. The moment you screw it in to the case, it gets loud, sounds like someone is vacuuming in the next room. I thought maybe I didn't install it in the case right, but it's screwed in tightly - and that's the issue, when it runs, it vibrates against the metal of the case, giving you an electronic wind tunnel sound. The stronger the fan is (2k rpm with this one), the louder it will be.

You shouldn't feel any hot spots on the surface of your computer case. If you do try turning around that case-fan closes to it, and don't forget to clean out the vents for dust. Also, don't forget those little, tiny, outside the box, black plug-in tranformer boxes, they can get terribly hot for weeks and months and even years, on the way to exploding.I insist you become like Clu in Tron, making systematically and radically altering changes to eliminate what is undesireably wrong now, and am asking that you go search now for these hot spots and make these changes as readily as possible. To search for over-heating transformers, wave your hand around in the air about two to three feet over the transformers in question. There won't be any doubt in your mind when you come across one over-heating, just unplug it, right down the specs, tell the manufacturer, and recycle it. I had one so hot I could feel it from 5' or 6' feet away, it warmed my face as well (6'2"), and yeah, I could feel the heat in the air on my hands too as I walked by it.

I ordered this to replace my faulty fan. I wasn't looking to get anything fancy, I just needed a fan.The fan is definitely louder than my previous fan but it is not bothersome. However this this really kicks out the airflow. So much so that I can feel the air being pulled in through the opening of my case in the front.I never did any before or after temp checks but I can say that my computer is in a tight area and would get warm(the case) It is now very cool to the touch...as in cold. The only warm spot is above the PSU and it is barely warm. I am definitely getting the airflow I need.It came with the general connection that goes into the motherboard and also an adapter to hook right into a standard power adapter off of the PSU if you wish.It also has a blue LED which is very bright. I am a sucker for blue LED's and I love it- goes great with a see through panel.Pros-Inexpensive!-Great Airflow-Nice LED(If you like LED's)-Two ways to hook it upCons-If there is anything to nitpick then the noise level but really it's not bad at all. just louder than my last. I will take the noise to have the coolness.-Shay

Zip tied and made a frame for four of these as an exhaust blower for my greenhouse. Not a bunch of CFM, but all four pull a lot of warmer air out. Connected them to a 20 watt panel and wired them in a series parallel arrangement to cut down on voltage. Nice!

I have several diffident fans in my case first time builder so I'm always looking for a good fan. As a fan it works extremely well pushes good air and very quiet but I also have a older cooler master clear led fan and works just as good but lights up much better if your looking for a good fan only and led's are a benefit this are perfect.A+++. But if your looking for a good fan to light up your case or side window please keep looking, dose not light up like in the picture. Would have been happier if the blades reflected more of the light.

This fan works very well and the black color of the plastic doesn't allow it to emit a crap load of light so it looks very nice on a heat sink or used for the back of the case. I would not recommend this fan for the top or bottom of the case as it does not give off light like the clear plastic fans that Antec offers. Overall though I am very pleased with the look, very pleased with the performance and would rate this a 5 star item!

I bought 4 of these for my last build and I have to compliment Cooler Master on making a 2000 RPM fan that is this quiet. When I turn off the 200mm fan in my case I can hardly hear the fans at all. The LED's on these fans are not annoyingly bright like some I've tried. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

These are very good fans and the blue LEDs match my stock 200mm LED perfectly. At full 12V, the fans can be heard, but aren't overly loud or disturbing to me. Sure there are fans quiter, but for the price, I doubt you will find any as well made as these and perform like these do. Highly recommend. Plus, these lookd really nice.

Pro's: Quiet, keeps my PC really cool, blue led's.Con's: None as of yet.Neutral: I won't call this a con because its a cheap and easy fix, and since PC's collect dust anyways, but these fans do collect more dust then average, I recommend installing a fan filter where you have your air entering at. (...)I first bought only 1 fan a few weeks ago. After a week of being used, I loved it and order a 2nd one to help with better ventilation/airflow. Well while this 2nd fan was being shipped, a blade on my power supply broke off so I replaced that fan with my second fan. I now have a 3rd one on the way. I'm sure it's over doing it, but I love the blue led's on it. They're not to bright to be an eye sore at night, but make my PC look a lot cooler with em.I work in HD with After Effects, Primere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and some gaming too.3 fans total. Front, back, and in my power supply.

Installed it in a mid-size ATX case, and wow does this thing move air! Compared to the other two included 120mm, this thing literally blows them away. I honestly can't tell you much about the noise, as there are other fans on my computer, but it doesn't seem to add much at all. I plan on buying another one in a bit for an output fan, these things are powerful!

I got four of these, put them in my new custom build PC.These fans are perfectly quiet and have sufficient power by themselves. However, after I installed all four and when they sync together in vibration it becomes so loud that I can hear across my house!!I had to glue some parts to the frame to be able to work on my PC.Other than that, great fans with serious power!

These fans are great, quiet and powerful, have used 7 so far on my build, but the downside is that these model claim to be 90cfm in the description but directly on the box 70cfm is stated... wont really deter me from these fans since I have never had an issue with them, but it would be nice to have accurate description!

DIdnt use these fans on a computer like its designed for, instead I used it on my home grown plant box and it kept the air circulating very well with 2 of these wired up together.

Really nice fan for the money. Although the LED blue lights are not all that bright as I hoped them to be. Also it is kinda hard to put in the screws because there is no threads in the fan and it seems the screws are to big(?) otherwise an excellent fan.

I think I am cheated by the nice 5 stars reviews on this cooler master fan. I believed it works very silently.. OMG It was not true!!! It is louder than my Antec 3 switch fan. It does blow a lot of air. Its noise is just irritating...I don't recommend this to anyone unless you don't care the noise level it has. Sorry, this is my first item I don't like and give a 1 star.

This fan is not different from others in relation to function. A few things I can attest to is that it looks really good in a PC case, it is fairly silent and it's RPM can be adjusted if you have a program and/or hardware to do so.If you need a 120mm fan simply for cooling, look elsewhere as the price is steep for mere cooling. However, if you are looking for cooling and aesthetics (red LEDs), this is the fan for you at a great price point compared to other manufacturers.

They aren't as bright as I had hoped but they are really nice. The blue does stand out and you can't even hear them running. I will be buying more of these if they are still available next time I need fans.

I wanted blue fans to match the color scheme of my build and these did great. Had one fan on the back, one fan mounted by the HDDs, and one fan aiming at the RAM. Nothing like the nice blue glow awesome!

The fans installed with little effort, and run sorta loud but still quiet to a point. They're not as bright as depicted, but i have neons to make up for that. All in all perfect for my AMD system.

awesome fan was very quiet i loved it until a small screw fell on the blades when they were spinning at 12 volts and it made the fan pretty loud i did not like that :( i dont know if they will refund it or anything now i really love it though

This fan moves a good bit of air, but the lights (almost the whole reason it was purchased) aren't very bright at all, and are darker (not neon) than shown.Other than that, good packaging, easy setup, fast ship.

I purchased a Cooler Master 212 EVO with this fan in the box, the fan had a bad bearing and made very loud noises out of the box. I purchased another one of these fans, under one month, it is again making the same noise! Go for a different fan. The Cooler Master LED ones lasted a long time for me, the excalibur provides more cooling but is louder.
