I have had this camera for a couple of weeks now and am still loving it. The image quality is great in both bright and low-light conditions.When I first bought the camera I was experiencing the slow performance that many people have mentioned here. That problem disappeared when I got a newer memory card. The original memory card was one that I have had for years. It has become my backup-backup memory card now. With the new card I was able to consistently take pictures of flying snowballs during a snowball fight in my neighborhood.

I am having a bit of trouble getting the focus I want in the macro mode, but am getting better at it. The pictures are great, clear, crisp and I love all the features such as single color, sepia, etc. Nice compact size and easy to see screen.

This is a great camera. It takes beautiful pictures about as well as an SLR camera! The only downfall, is the high amount of megapixels make the videos harder to download. Not a big problem and its worth it for the beautiful pictures!

The picture quality is great and the size and weight are perfect. I wanted a camera small enough to carry around in my purse but that also created great quality pictures and that is exactly what I found in this camera.

The image stabilization is great. Video playback on 55inch tv is awsome.Easy to use in automatic mode.

I'm a fan of Canon. I used to have de Canon S1 Is and S3 Is and now I bought this one I'm a bit dissapointed with the video because it has serious problem when focusing. The image comes and goes. I don't know whats the problem. May be Canon have to release a new firmware to correct this problem.

"All in one" pocket camera is the best description.It seems to do everything.28mm-392mm is amazing for a pocket camera.It takes a little knowledge and respect to use such a small camera with this long of a lens.With practice the 392mm lens will reward anyone, with more pictures to bring home, then other cameras with lesser lenses.Easily best in its class

I guess like with any new camera, it takes a while to figure out all the features. I find many of the cool features take several steps to access. And when you turn on the camera, most times I forget to lift my finger so the flash can come up (not that I use flash all that often). The menu wheel is also a bit difficult to turn on the fly. But the 14X optical zoom is great! And the tilt-shift mode is pretty fun, and the video quality is good.

For those MAC lovers, this camera works very well iPHOTO. I've had it about a week and have been taking photos at school of my students and the photos are so crisp and clear. We're planning a trip to Italy this summer and I wanted a camera that could do it all and be compact. I like the advantage of being able to recharge the battery. I have another Canon digital but it uses AA batteries and drains quickly. This model will work well.

Just bought one. great optical zoom and image quality. great image stabilizer. good value for product. battery life reasonable.

It has great zoom and great picture quality. Sometimes the extended zoom and focus makes it a little slow but the pictures you do capture are great....

You will be very happy with this camera. I'm a professional photographer and this is a great little "pocket" camera

Although I could not find this specified in any of the manufacturers information on line, I didsee in the accompanying documentation that Canon recommends the user buy a flash card that is atleast 15mb/s. This is also called a class 4 flash card.

I just ordered this camera and waiting for it to arrive. My question is: what memory card would you recommend for this model? I'm going on a week-long trip soon and intend to take a million pictures (and some video shots). I want to make sure I get enough cards to last the trip. Thanks!

Great little camera. Takes wonderful shots and is very easy to use, even for a novice. Fantastic zoom for such a small camera. I like being able to control the flash by manually closing it. Good for action shots and low light shots as well.

This is my second camera after a very long time...I was expecting a good replacement but got an excellent one. Highly recommended.

Movie quality is good.Two things didn't like:1. Very slow processing, it takes even longer after capturing movies.2. Can not keep camera steady, will have to learn where to and how to adjust my left hand on camera!

The camera is as expected. That means that it is better than others I considered. I highly recommend this camera despite a higher price.

Takes too much time to transfer image to the memory chip on the camera. low light pictures are not good.
