This is a great camera. I highly recommend it as a "next" camera when you are ready to upgrade your entry level point and shoot. Not quite as intimidating as a DSLR. Has easy to understand menu and big bright LCD screen. I love it.

The Canon SX10IS is superb all around. Both pictures and videos are excellent quality. Definitely worth having the video and 80X digital zoom.
Sunsets and beach shots are postcard perfect. Best camera ever owned.

This is a wonderful camera. I wanted to start learning more about photography with a camera that was better than just a little point and shoot. It takes gorgeous pictures even on just Auto. I took our family Christmas pictures in our back yard with a tripod on the manual setting and they turned out looking professional. Definitely a good buy.

I bought this camera for my girlfriend for Christmas and it was perfect she loved it. It is very small and takes great pictures. It is a great value for a 10MP camera. The batteries seem to last well even when using the flash.

This is a great camera, no complaints. However when i received it, the box did not contain the CD / software. So now i either have to return it or search the net for the apropos download(s).

I think this camera is awesome, the only reason I didn't give it a 5/5 is because you have to manually lift the flash to use it...other then that I am very happy.

I purcased the Canon SX100IS camera because of it's price, quality and ease of use. I couldn't be more pleased! It's easy to use, yet has many more complicated settings for user who want them. The pictures are great! The only minor drawback is the flash recharge time, which is a small consequence because of all of the positives. After reading reviews, I purchased a 2GB memory card, which allows up to 800 pictures. Yesterday I downloaded 500 pictures with ease. I use Google Picasa, which allows for many picture color, red-eye, darkness adjustments and, because of that, I've been able to save many photos I would have otherwise deleted. I also purchased 4 rechargeable batteries with charger and I use 2 and have 2 recharged batteries on hand at all times. I have never missed a photo because of low batteries. In the end I've been more than pleased with purchase and would do it again, without a second thought. Buy it! You'll love it!

This is a Great camera!
I love using the 20x zoom lense and the camera has great auto and manual functions. The display screen is amazing and the picture software it comes with is excellent. I highly recommend this camera!

Great product, love the zoom and clarity, as well as the size of the screen. Only complaint is sometimes the battery/memory card "lid" is difficult to open. Other than that...I LOVE the camera and would reccomend it to anyone looking for a point-and-shoot that's similar to a SLR.

I loved this camera. I really did. It took beautiful pictures and its the closest compact camera I've ever had to a DSLR. But drop it once - and say goodbye. I've had lots of cameras over the years (mostly sonys) and they can usually take a few bumps and bruises. I dropped this thing one time - and not even on a particularly hard surface, and no more camera.

not only do we love our new camera, but it was delivered to my daughters home Christmas Eve in time for us to take holiday pictures - could not ask for greater service !

This camera is user-friendly and easy to operate. Pictures are crisp and clear. So far I really like it.

I have had my camera only a few weeks and have used it on only one occasion so far, but it performed excellently that time. I love the looks and feel of this model and find the instructions easier to understand than those with my last camera. I'm an amateur but want to take really great photos--so far, so good.

After much researching and plenty of confusion, I finally settled on this camera. I'm happy to say I made the right decision...This camera is idiot proof, the pictures it takes looks great..I can program it myself or I let the camera do all the work..I just love this little gem!

Hands down the best camera for the money. It's my second Canon as I had the 570is before and gave it to my daughter. Tried to find another 570is but the price had gone up. You will not be disappointed. It takes great images and you can change lenses if the need arises.

I can't imagine anyone buying this for the MSRP of $230.

Pros
- Powers up quickly
- Ease of use for casual pointing and shooting
- Auto-focuses quickly
- 4x optical zoom -- very cool. BUT you can only zoom in increments.
- LCD screen is bright, though its color is not terribly accurate.
- The AA battery life is better than most digital cameras I've used in the past.
- The super macro on this camera is amazing. You can take a picture of something 1/2 inch away and see amazing detail. I took a picture of a bee on a flower and saw the hairs on its body and the expression on its buggy face.

Cons
- Somewhat bulky. I can't put this in my pocket. BUT, it's pretty lightweight.
- No image stabilizer. Serious drawback. I can't take a flashless photo in a regular-lit room without the picture looking blurry or discolored.
- Night pictures are subpar, for the above reason.
- The description of the "portrait" shots as SLR quality are deceptive. I see no noticeable difference between the sharpness of my subjects and their surroundings.
- The video quality is not so great.

I was content with this camera for a long time because I figured you get what you pay for. Decent quality camera for $120. However, there are now better cameras for the same price. Or, you can pay just a bit more for better quality -- more megapixels, image stabilizer, and better night shots.

I bought this for my 17 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. This is his first camera although he has used my wife's, which is also a Canon. What else can I say. If it works for my son it works for me.

This is abeatiful camera with all you need for a snap and shot.
The menu, play, print and all of the functions buttons are very delicate in their printing, they scracth easily so take care.

Good camera with very clear and quality pictures. This camera is easy to use once you familiarize yourself with the instructions in the manual.

I would recommend this product to everyone. Easy to use and easy to download to your computer.

I really like this camera and the images it produces. Chews through batteries though. Even so, a great unit, I'd buy it again.

The camera sock was free with the camera so it saved me buying one, top marks (wouldn't pay for it though!!!)
