Camera takes terrific pictures. the software for down loading to computer is a lot more complicated than I expected also the camera is much more advanced than I anticipated. I upgraded to this from canon powershot A5 Zoom which I adored.

I really like this camera. We had an Olmpus C750 that we loved, but it had been dropped one too many times and the autofocus wouldn't work anymore. Given that our baby and picture subjects (sports) were almost always moving, this was a feature we couldn't live without. The software is adequate...slow to start up, but suitable for beginner and mid range needs. If you want to do some editing, find a 3rd party app, the software that comes with it doesn't get it done. It does have a very nice red-eye elimination feature when you are looking at your pictures on the screen, and the screen itself is quite large.
The downside is that what other folks have said about it going through batteries is VERY accurate, especially when using the flash quite a bit. And for some reason, it goes through rechargeables about 4 times as fast as standard ni-cads. For an environmental person who wants to use rechargeables as much as possible, this is a difficult thing. Basically it has forced me to pick up another set of AA rechargeables, along with keeping an emergency pair of standard non-rechargeable in the bag.
I did not get the full kit, as we already had a camera bag and a tripod. I do recommend the screen cover.

Very pleased with this camera. Really like the 10x zoom. Takes excellent photos. Only one minus. The grip is almost flat and takes a little getting used to. Wish they had a more raised grip. Other than that, a superb camera and a bargain at the price.

I just got the camera, and right now I'm glad there are Easy and Auto modes. I'll be carrying my little manual with me for a while, but it seems really nice. I also will have to figure out the printer for it, that I've yet to unbox. I can already say that I'd buy it again.

Gift reported as good camera, good results, but bit too bulky and heavy. I think recipient should compare it with older 35 mm.

This is a truly excellent camera, which makes it easy to take superb photos - and I mean superb. As you would expect the build quality is extremely good as are the functions and lens quality.

It is a little heavier than some others as it takes 4 No AA batteries - the advantage is that the battery life is double that of an average camera, which from my experience is far more preferable.

I PURCHASED THIS CAMERA FOR MY VACATION IN JULY AND I HAVE REALLY LIKED IT FOR THE MOST PART. MY ONLY REAL COMPLAINT IS THAT THE BATTERY & SD CARD COMPARTMENT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO OPEN. I AM 66-YRS OLD AND MY FINGERS DON'T WORK SO WELL TO OPEN THIS AREA UP. OTHERWISE I REALLY DON'T SEE ANY OTHER REASON TO COMPLAIN.

I am very pleased with this camera. It is easy to use, takes amazing pictures and has a nice design. I actually a couple of weeks later bought another one for my parents! The batteries have a much longer life span than my old Kodak easyshare camera. I have nothing negative to say!

I just have one small suggestion for this one....they should make some arrangement for hanging the lense cover to the camera itself... :)

Cute little camera, but has a huge delay between shots. I have kids, so we usually take a few pictures for each shot to make sure we get one good one, but it is impossible to do with this camera. All the reviews said it takes good pictures indoors, but the pictures we got were awful.

I cannot tell you how much I recommend this digital camera! I have had it for about 3 years now, and, not considering minor wear, it is just as fantastic as the first day I bought it. There are literally too many amazing features to mention. I STILL find new, creative settings to use on my camera, and, believe me, I use my camera almost every day! One of my favorite features is the swivel screen. It really is worth the extra money to have this on a digital camera. I wouldn't ever get one that didn't have this feature. Not only can you be in the pictures much easier by swiveling the screen around, but, more importantly, it protects your screen from scratches and cracks. Pretty much all digital cameras chew through batteries faster than the speed of light, and the A620 is no exception. Therefore, I definitely recommend rechargeable batteries for the A620. I use Energizer 2500 mAh rechargeables, and I have only switched back and forth between 4 packages (4 AA batteries come in a package) in 3 years. They are about $10.00-12.00 for a pack of 4.
Overall, I cannot tell you how many memories I have relived by looking through the amazing photos this camera has created. For example, I had my family and friends take some photos at my wedding using my A620, and I can truthfully say that some of the pictures that came from my digital camera looked better than the professional photographs. This is truly a worthwhile investment! Quick...do not miss another memory!

I had a problem with the video on my new Canon Powershot and a new camera was shipped back to me immediately and the new Powershot worked great. GREAT customer service!

Camera arrived quickly in good condition. It is light weight, compact, and seems to take good photos, admittedly with it being a Christmas gift we have not used it too much to date nor have we downloaded photos. With this being our 3rd Canon we have confidence it will be a good camera.

I am really enjoying this camera. Easy to understand. Started taking pics right away. Will have to explore the other features as I go. Well worth the price.

I gave this camera to my son for Christmas. It was one that he suggested, and the price was right. He just got back from a trip to Hawaii and emailed me some beautiful pictures. I think we chose a winner.

This is the best camera i have ever owned. Beautiful pictures,you can easily grab and hold it well, and not worry about it falling out of your hand.

I could not be happier with this camera, and you certainly can't beat it for the price. The screen is surprisingly large for a small camera and the quality of the photos is fabulous. I can carry it around in my purse and have it on hand for spontaneous shots. The fact that it uses regular batteries is a blessing and a curse. At least if it runs out and your on vacation and out and about you can buy batteries anywhere instead of having to wait until you can charge it. But the downside is that they seem to get used up fairly quickly.

I'm really pleased I got this one and not a more pricey version. I have my Rebel SLR for high ed use and this for everyday.

I just bought this camera and took some shots. It's an excellent one. I am the owner of both S3 IS and EOS XSi, so I can easily judge the quality of the SX10 IS. For $400, it's definitely a good buy. It's bigger than S3 IS, almost the body size of Xsi.

Image quality is very good, correct color rendering (surely, not as good as Xsi, however, but its sharpness is better than Xsi).

The only thing I don't like is the EVF. When I move camera around, the view is not smooth, rather jumpy, make my eye uncomfortable. Again, for the price, what you get is a lot.

Bought this as a replacement for a Canon Powershot A300. Very happy with this camera especially the battery life. Very easy to use. Recommend this to anybody.

Amazing zoom lens. Amazing part is the vibration reduction, even without a rest. Down side is resolution may only be 180 dpi, not good enough for magazine print. Doesn't tell you that anywhere.

If you're anything like me, you're not exactly digital camera savvy. You may not understand what exactly ISO has to do with a shot, or the benefits of using Macro or different lens settings. Before buying this camera, I owned a Fuji Fine Pix camera. It was everything a beginner's camera was supposed to be. It was easy to use, but the ease came at the sacrifice of having great looking pictures. That isn't the case with the Canon A630.

The Canon A630 is a professional like camera that is made for the use of both amateurs and mastery photographers. It comes with a host of features and is relatively easy to get used to using. I've owned this camera for nearly 2 years, and have yet to have a major problem with it. The only minor problem I have had is battery life, but I bought a rechargable battery for the camera, and that's improved my issue with batteries. I took this camera abroad to Europe with me to cover my trip, and the photos turned out great. Clear, vivid, and crisp. I definitely recommend this camera to any and everyone. If you're looking for a great camera, but are a bit intimidated by being overwhelmed with the technical aspects, then the Canon A630 is the camera for you. Easy to use and great results.

It's slower than I thought. But for the price and features, it's a reasonable sacrifice. (You have to buy your own accessories, too.)
