The paper to be scanned needs a little help by slightly pushing it into the scanner or it won't scan properly. Otherwise, it works fine.

This scanner just works! I am working on project which requires us to scan a lot of documents while on the road and I also use it to scan reciepts to submit for my expense reports. This scanner is small and light enough to fit in my laptop bag without noticing any extra weight. The fact that it draws its power from the same USB cable it uses to tramsit data means that I can use it anywhere and don't have to worry about batteries or a power adapter.

I bought this item for scaning bills and receipts, insead of having to file away so much paper each month. We are using this more as a tool for doccumentation, rather than technical features so the image file or document doesn't have to look perfect-- it just needs to scan perfectly so we can reference the information in the future.The best parts are that it is so small and easy to use.You can scan in black & white, or color (the color seems to be pretty true to life) and having the ability to save the information in several formats (.pdf, .jpg, .gif) is a definite plus.Another plus, the scanner is not powered by an electrical outlet-- it's powered through the USB port, so it is really simple to use when you're travelling or don't have access to a plug.I highly recommend this product to anyone who need to quickly scan receipts, bills, and other items of doccumentation.

I like not having to open and a scanner lid and make sure the paper is straight. This is very easy to operate. I, also, wish the button on the scanner activated the scan option instead of having to use the mouse. But, that's the only reason I didn't give it a five. The scans are nice and sharp. You just have to play around w/ the software programs to figure them out. I'm glad I bought this.

If you are looking for a small, easy to use scanner, then this is the one. I bought the scanner to convert teaching materials from paper to digital copies. It works like a dream! I have almost emptied a filing cabinet full of folders. I would definitely purchase this scanner again.

Some things work well ,others just OK and still there are those items that are not worth there existence. This Brother DS Mobile scanner is worth every cent I paid. Ease of use, easy installation,small enough to take anywhere,and quality performance. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I like its size and ease to use, but after about 25 or 30 scans the scans started getting a white line down them, I cleaned it whith the sheet that came with it over and over but could not get rid of the line. I sent it back, and I would not recomend it to anyone.

This is a wonderfully compact and portable scanner that creates clear scans of documents and even pictures. It has helped me make a great dent in clearing away the paper clutter and getting my important documents archived and backed up. No need for additional external power makes it perfect to take with me and use on my laptop. I highly recommend. In fact, I have recommended it to quite a few of my friends and family.

This little guy does what it promises.Feeding can be tedious if you have more than a few pages to scan.If you need to scan documents on the road without paying through the nose at a FedEx or Staples... this is a good buy!

I love this scanner - it has been a great product for the cost. I have nothing bad to say about it except the operating system you have does dictate how easy it is to install. I am so impressed by this scanner I ordered a second one so we could have two in the office.

This product performs beautifully for the purpose I intended it for which is to scan bill of ladings and receipts to attach to emails as pdf documents from the cab of a semi-truck. It does not do as good of a job on photo's so I cant recommend it for that however it is great for scanning documents on the go.

I love this product. I have nothing but praise for the mobile scanner without a negative criticism. This little machine is lightweight and every task I have put it to has produced beyond satisfactory results. The software is easy to use as is the device. Once the software is installed just plug in the provided USB cable and you're ready to scan. I am in the process of putting many of my old photographs on the computer in digital files for future uploading. What a great device, the photos fit perfectly in the provided sleeves. What to do with all those business cards? Use the scanner and put them on your computer. Got a bunch of old receipts? Go digital and put them on your computer. It is perfect for many documents and if you need a paper copy you can print it. This is an ideal small business scanner or for the businessman who needs to do his work on the road. I really love this product and am fully enjoying putting it to work because it is no work at all. This is also a must for the modern family. It is a great addition to your lap top carrying bag. I highly recommend this mobile scanner for all your paperless needs like converting old photos to be shared via the electronic highway or business on the road.

Its alright. My only complaint is that when you are trying to scan photos it jams or gets stuck about 70% of the time. It is simple to use and install. Its great for scanning single documents but I might think twice if your main use is for scanning photos.

This Brother DSMobile Scanner (DS-600) is very cool and works great,small plug an play. works so good bought a 2nd one to carry when on the road and leave one at the office. I have had trouble with other scaners not wanting to work with my desk top. But not this one.

This little guy makes a big difference in my production by saving me multiple steps. Can scan multi page documents into one pdf file. Love that it works off of the computers power. I can't believe how small it is. I was a little worried because one review mentioned there were not guides for scanning smaller docs, but there is a solid ledge that you push the document up against so essentially, that lines everything up and a guide is not needed.

This scanner is ideal for home and travel use. The only negative is that it does not pick up color being scanned, so the end product is always black ink. (Perhaps it does color and I just haven't read the instructions thoroughly.) Anyway, scanned file is clear and product is very easy to set up and use.

I've always used a printer/scanner combination that never quite scanned the page clearly or in a decent crop size. Since I travel a lot, I realized I would need a portable scanner so I purchased this one after reading the reviews. Why I waited so long is my only regret. This portable scanner is quick and easy to use. I've scanned contracts, business cards, you name it and things come out clear as a bell. It's light, fits easily into a computer bag, and requires only the USB cord to attach to the computer (no power cord directly). Highly recommended!

I've used this scanner to scan documents for work, as well as pictures and drawings. I thought it worked fine for scanning documents into Adobe Pro. I didn't have any problems running OCR after scanning my paperwork. For images and drawings, I am unimpressed.Even at 600 dpi the scans were unclear, with lost information. One drawing I scanned just looked like chicken scratch because the scanner couldn't read the finer lines. It also doesn't have anything to guide your document through the scanner. I would have been easy to include a small guide bar that swings out from the document feeder area. Without the guide it is difficult to feed documents through straight.Another issue I had with it is that it doesn't know when it is not scanning something. For instance, if a document isn't far enough in to be caught by the feeder, the scanner will still scan even though there is nothing feeding through. If you are in a hurry, this is a huge waste of time.Overall, I think this is an average mobile scanner. It is fine for documents, if you have nothing else available, but I wouldn't want to use it on a regular basis.

Well just perfect for a portable scanner. It is small to keep handy on you desk. I would suggest this to others for sure. Could not ask for more. The directions are a little confusing as I just want to plug-n-play.

The scanner also allows you to save your work in Adobe Acrobat, JPG or TIFF file formats.It works by connecting it to our laptop via the USB cable that comes with the scanner. Highly recommend this product!

This is what we expected and more.We use it for sending orders back to the office from trade shows.It not only scans well, but the Software includes the capability to password protect the pdf file it creates.The only down side, if at all, is that it uses an old style 1.0 USB cable, which also comes with the device.

OMG why didn't I get this before? It has transformed the way I am able to process receipts. I get 100% of my expense report done in 50% of the time now. I think that the only way to get to an even faster result would be not having to do one.
