Although all across the web, most sites cite that this board has thunderbolt 3 support, this model actually DOES NOT have the TB3 header. Really really bad marketing information on asus's part. I bought this 100% confident that it did have TB3 support and even bought the TB3 expansion card. So back to the drawing board at the moment.
Technically it's a great board, just really pissed off that Asus can't get it's act together on it's promotional material and specs.

ASUS motherboards have proven over time to be of quality and long lasting motherboard. Typically I shoot a little higher on the model number to accommodate higher hardware levels and availability of ports. This quality carries over into their displays as well. This is the first Micro ATX board purchased and it delivers all the features looked for when choosing a motherboard. Installation of hardware is easy and installed easily into a mini-tower Corsair case. I typically turn off any motherboard lighting since it tends to be annoying but that's just preference. Installed in this motherboard is an intel i7 10th generation, 32GB , Blu Ray drive. It has 6 USB ports (1 usb-c) and 1 type a, 2-2.0 and 2-3.0. The corsair case has two additional ports on the front and I added a USB hub. I can never seem to have enough USB ports. The motherboard had been solid and is the third ASUS board purchased over 5-7 years now. The price is about expected for a motherboard at this level.

I've been building my own computers for myself and others for over 40 years. I knocked off one star because where the computer case wires connect to the motherboard all worked except I could not get the PLED or the HDD LED to work. Not a huge deal because overall the board worked fine with my i9-10850K. Contacted Asus and they said I needed to ship it back for repair but would not ship me one out in advance.
As usual though, Amazon comes through and is shipping me a replacement board.

I found out my issue of having no LED's. I revisited a setting in the BIOS called Aura with various settings for turning lights (bling) on or off in varies modes. I am not a RGB guy, could care less. I had turned on Stealth mode which turned off the LED's I wished to remain on. I changed the mode to "ON" and my LED's worked again. What a ridiculous setting IMO. Still leaving it at 4 star because of the headache that setting put me through.
As usual though, Amazon comes through and is shipping me a replacement board.

If it weren’t for the additional 10g card and two usb-c ports this board would get negative stars. When your engineering team has zero consideration for cpu fan space you shouldn’t be building motherboards. The fan for processor literally take over the first memory module’s space so you can only fit 3 memory modules or you have to spend an additional $50-$100 on a different heat sink.

Got my computer all built and got Windows installed, but when I went to install the network driver it just plain wouldn't install. Said it couldn't find a compatible network adaptor. After talking directly with Asus support, they too determined it was faulty, which meant I had to tear my computer all the way apart to get it out. This MB has an Intel network adaptor. I replaced it with an MSI MB that uses a Realtek network adaptor and didn't have any issues.

Absolutely great. Fantastic. Just very very good. Got my i5-10600k to 5.1ghz with it. Super stable. Looks good. Can't beat it.

Great board.
Side Note: I'm beating myself up I didn't see that this is M.2 PCIe 3.0. A couple weeks after I bought this, I found out there's a M.2 4.0 that has read/writes up to 7k mbps now. I spent a lot of time building a new PC and researching stuff. I mean, it's a really new tech so totally understandable I missed this feature. Just thought I would mention it if someone else is digging around for the newest tech.

As other reviews warned me, the onboard ethernet doesn't work. ASUS seems to have a patch for Windows, but I don't have Windows. Their zipfile for the ASUS windows patch uses a proprietary format so I can't easily unzip it from linux to get the .bin image out either. I don't mind working around the ethernet, and I had read the comments about it not working before I bought it, so I'm just living with it.
This is not easy to install because they put an important plug up in the corner where a heat sink and your CPU fan will block you from plugging and inplugging it if it is in a case.

So I purched this card with high hopes. Upon installiation everyhing fired up nice. I then installed a wireless adapter card and downloaded the drivers. The adapter card could not be seen. I then installed the graphics card same thing. I call Asus and they did some troubleshooting with me and determnined the board as bad. Amzon sent a replacement. Installed the replacement and same thing. Asus again said this board was bad and the only thing the tech kept telling me it's a new card and there are issues. I asked repeatedly if there was a BIOS setting to which I was told no. So two boards same issue. Nieth PCIe 16 or express would reconize anything plugged in. Sending the second one back for refund.

So there are two big issues I encountered when I upgraded my motherboard and CPU
1. when enabling AI optimize for overclocking the computer would freeze up on startup.
Solution: so what I believe what was happening is that the motherboard was trying to set the frequency overclock to max at 5.2 ghz but the chip is only stable at about 5.1 ghz. This really screwed me up for a while because the motherboard doesn't tell you that the xmp, AI optimize, and advanced settings all overwrite each other to some degree. If you run into a similar issue turn on AI optimize, enable XMP, then manually set the GHZ frequency in advanced settings. You can also edit the frequency using intel's Tuner.
2. currently I can't shut the motherboard down. Any attempt to power off the device either via the power button or the operating system shutdown button, leads to a immediate boot up within half a second leading me to believe the motherboard isn't shutting down, the only way for me to shut the device off is to hold the power button down to do a force shutdown and that's only because I disabled the crash restart on the bios. I'll update this if I find a solution.

I selected this Asus ProArt Z490 Mother Board exclusive for Photoshop (Pano, Astrophotography, Stacking, and general photography). So far, I'm very pleased. I married this MB with an Intel i9 and 64mb, a 2tb M.2 drive (the OS & apps and a second logical drive for scratch use), two 5tb SSD, + t 5 tb hard drives (2ea) mirrored as Back-up drive(s). For my graphics - a Quatro card. Although not "required" went via liquid cooling. I plan to overclock and tune the thread lines as needed.

Motherboard arrived early so that was a plus. Sadly I heard the mailman throw the box down my hallway. I dont have all the parts at the moment so time will tell if he damaged it or not. It seems to be okay. Cant wait to be back on mouse and keyboard!

I purchased this as part of a build for a client and am very impressed overall. I typically only Build with ASUS motherboards. This particular board lived up to the standards I am used to with that brand. One of the things I was impressed with was how many fan headers this particular board had. Mini micro ATX boards don’t have many fan headers at all. If I had one wish on this board it would’ve been a thermal cover for the SSD. That being said, I believe that is available in higher in boards, but those were not in stock when I purchased this product, nor were they at the same price point.

The motherboard was just shipped in the box it comes in. They put a shipping label on the Asus box and sent it to you like that . One of the corners was banged up but product was okay inside. I would ship it in a box with bubble wrap or paper. I did not have the ethernet problems are the people have had. Looks sharp with my white case and the argb motherboard light controller in the armory crate is awesome.

The board looks stunning and very easy to work with. My only problem is my Ethernet port was defective on the board. This is very frustrating because now I have to disconnect everything and send it back or stick with a wifi USB adapter or a usb to Ethernet port adapter. Very annoying but the board is great in every other aspect.

I did my research on this board and didn't run into any issues except that the ethernet did not work out of the box, and did require you to install a driver from the internet to fix.
I can see how this can be a lot for a new user, but if you have a separate computer and a flash drive, it won't be trouble for anyone to solve.
LEDs are kinda light and hard to notice. The front panel connector ports are also in weird places that make the wiring just look clunky too.

ATX typically have 9 standoffs, this only has 6, and they aren't evenly distributed so it has major flex when installing ram...they only had to make it a quarter inch longer.
It's also lacking in the fan header department, having replaced all the ones you'd normally find on the top with RGB hookups. I think there were only 3 and my case has 5....

Used for a work at home item. Billion dollar company couldn't provide a decent working computer, so I had to construct my own to be as productive as I would like to. used i5, 16GB RAM and 450W for the board.

I bought this board for a i9 10900k 10 core 3.6 ghz and with this motherboard it judges my CPU coolers capabilities and overclocks based on that and I get a steady 5.0 ghz on 10 cores at 34C. It has plenty of headers and installation was no more complicated than your average motherboard. The Asus aura is also a bonus, if you're into the lights.

Probably the best looking and feature packed Z490 board for the price, with just one little issue: Super high failure rates. I bought my first Z490 Prime from Newegg, and it told me my processer was running at about 4 volts. Naturally, it couldn't even make it to windows. This was its replacement. Having finally escaped BIOS hell, I was pretty thrilled until I tried to enable XMP and the entire system refused to even boot to BIOS. Things were back to normal after pulling the CMOS battery, but no XMP is a deal breaker for me. That's when I searched and found the absolute deluge of complaints and issues people have had with this board. What's the deal ASUS? You guys used to make such good stuff!

The ethernet controller on this board has a hardware problem and extremely unreliable. Since this board doesn't have WIFI, you have to get external adapter or copy software from other computers even to install drivers.
Considering it is not a cheap board, they should include a USB adapter or something if they still want to sell this motherboard.

Product performs as expected. Running a 10700 on stock cooler, 16gb GSkill @ 3600 on xmp II settings using latest bios. Cinebench multicore score of 4520 with no limits set in bios. CPU temps never exceeded 60C and usually hover around 36C. I have been using this configuration for nearly a month with no significant issues. Plan to eventually run 32 gbs of ram and a 3060ti and use machine for content creation.

Very handy for anyone working in audio. Onboard tb3 for windows has made life a lot easier and much much cheaper not having to rely on Mac Pro for studio needs. My main concern was the functionality of this tb3 board, since my last solution was tbEX3 PCIE expansion on x299 - also produced by asus, and that was very temperamental (required reslotting and driver reinstall on every crash). This mobo, I’m pleased to say, has been talking just fine with my focusrite clarett tb2 (with adapter to tb3) 4pre just fine since I built the rig and has not failed a single time (several months operating now). Only complaint: no on board WiFi. Incidentally, I’m running a 10900k ocd at 5.0 ghz at 1.3v and the thing is 100% stable.

Once you install the Armoury Crate, you can install the drivers for Ethernet to connect to internet. Board was easy to install, have had no issues with it. Comes with a lot of extra software.

Purchased this one as an open box, my mistake, please don't rate it from my opinion.
I do return this motherboard, Amazon was fantastic on refunding my money.
Purchase a a replacement and it worked great, love board love the manufacturer solid as can be.
Con: Internet connections really slow, hopefully AUSE will find a solution.

すれば良いのです。バージョンの古いウィンドウズでは
あれほど手こずったインストールも
最新バージョンのウィンドウズならあっさりインストール完了。
ウィンドウズ10は最新バージョンを無料でマイクロソフトのサイトから
ダウンロードできるので今度からは新しいマザーボードにしたら
ウィンドウズも最新にしようと思います。
プロダクトキーも今まで使っていたものがそのまま使えます。

Antes de comprar esta MB, me fui por una gigabyte pero terminé devolviéndola. Definitivamente ésta está mucho mejor. Todo sirve a la perfección y se le puede aplicar un ligero OC a los procesadores K.

初の自作パソコンを組み立てるのに、色々調べてこちらのマザーボードにしました。
説明書も挿絵入りで大変わかりやすくて、全てのっているので初心者にも親切でわかりやすく大変ありがたかったです。
動作も安定していて安心。
この感じのBIOS画面は初めてなのですが、CPUの温度からssdの状態など色々なことを設定できカスタマイズできるので調べてみるのも面白いと思います。
あと、マウスも使えて使いやすかったです。
M.2のスロットも2つついていてヒートシンクもあるのでありがたいです。
wi-fiがついているので、すぐにネットに繋げられてよかったです。
自作初心者にもおすすめです！

このレビューはASUS ROG STRIX Z490-Fのレビューです。
i7-10700k,2080Ti(MSI GX),3600MHz-CL15(g.skill),NH-D15の構成で使っています。
Z490-E,Z490-Aとの違いが分かりにくいですが、参考程度に私が分かった範囲でまとめると以下の通りです。
Z490-E:無線機能付き、電源回路強化,USBポート増加,基板上に数値エラーコード表示,後付け用VRMファン同梱(Fは未同梱)
Z490-A:白デザイン、USBポート削減、片側のM.2ヒートシンク削減、最下段PCIeレーンが補強、VRMファン取付部削減
■評価
3600MHz,CL15,1.35VのメモリがXMP2読みそのままで安定して動いている点は評価できます。
ただ、それに連動してかVCCSA電圧がAutoで1.504Vもかかっていたため手動で1.25Vに下げました。
ファンコントロール機能が非常に使いやすいです。
私はM.2_2(下側のスロット)にNVMe SSDを装着しましたが、この場合標準ではPCIe x2で動作していたためx4に設定したあとSATA5&6ポートを手動で無効化する必要がありました。
不満点について、製品の外箱やマザーボード本体が入っていたビニールシートに一切封緘シールなどが貼られていなかった点は気になりました。
これでは本当に未開封の製品なのか不安が残ります。今後改善されることを望みます。
製品の動作やハード設計面での不満は全くありません。
どうせ中が見えないPCケースなのですが、実物は製品画像よりもかっこよかったです(小学生並の感想)。
最後に9年前のASUSマザーボード(Z68,i7-2600k)との撮影センスのない比較写真も載せておきます。
この製品に点数を付けるなら110弱でしょうねえ…他のメーカー使ったことないので分からないですけど(無責任)。

新品のはずですが、製品の外箱がマスキングテープで留めてありました・・・。
そこはかとなく不安です。
マザボ本体の入った袋はテープ留め等されていませんでした。
元々こういうものなのでしょうか？
組み付け後にトラブルが起きると困るので、先に写真を貼っておきます。
もし故障品だった場合また追記させて頂きます。
なお、マザーボードをAmazonで購入するのは今回が初めてです。

とりあえず、組み立て直後の感想
驚いたのが、USB3.2Gen1ヘッダーのコネクタ
ケースからのコードを取り付けたあと収まりが悪いので取り外そうとしたら
台座ごと抜けてしまった笑
幸い、ピンは基盤に残っていて損傷なかったのでそのまま台座を慎重に被せて。。。
コネクターの内側に樹脂を流し込んで固定している感じでしたが
結構ロックが外れなかったのでコネくってたのも悪かったのかな
コネクタ自体基盤に固定されて無かったような感じもありましたけど
自作は沢山作ってきましたけど
まあ、ビックリしました
ちなみにしっかり動作はしてます

Плохо
LANドライバーをインストールしてもPC再起動でなぜか地球マークがでて
インターネット接続できなくなる
改善方法は 嫌がらずに 公式サイトのこのマザボのところから
Utilities: Armoury Crate をダウンロードすることです
このソフトみたいなのからすべてのドライバをインストールしないとだめです
ちなみに PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_06E0&CC_0780 ってのがデバイスマネージャーでビックリマークがつくのも
Utilities: Armoury Crate からのドライバインストールで治ります
とにかく Utilities: Armoury Crate を使わないとこのマザボは話にならないです！

Великолепно
初めてASUS製品を使って数年ぶりにPCを組みました。最近のは色々と便利になっているようで苦戦は殆どありませんでした。CPUは10700Kです。
併せて同社Thunderbolt3EX-TRの拡張カードも追加しましたが、充電はそのまま出来るのですが、アクセサリーを認識する為にはBIOSで有効にする必要がありました。外付けNVMeドライブも高速で快適です。
WifiについてはWifi6の親機を使っていないので⭐︎3です。とりあえず認識しているということで。

今回8年ぶりにPCを組むことにしたので購入しました。
OSをインストールして起動したときにドライバをほとんど自動で入れてくれるのが非常に便利でした。
基本はゲームでの使用ですがとても安定しており、何よりROGのマークが光るのがとてもかっこいいです。

Intel 10th CPUには迷ったらこれを買えばいいと思います.
構成はこのマザーに
CPU:i9-10900K
RAM:HX432C16FB3K4/64
GPU:1070Ti
クーラー:忍者5 (ファン交換)
で何事もなく一発起動です.
DrMosを14個も使っていたりVRM冷却ファンがついていたり、OCユーザーにもおすすめできると思います.
ただし,忍者のような巨大クーラーを取り付ける場合,前途の冷却ファンは干渉しますので注意です.

製品発表時から、このマザーボードに決めようと思いました。
Ryzen7 1700,MSI X370からCore i7-10700K,Z490 STRIXに変更です！
値段は決して安くはないですが、文句無しの製品です！！

商品がとどいて動作を確認したらディスプレイが表示されないのですぐに返品しました。
すぐに交換の商品がとどきそちらは動作をしたのですが、返品した商品がソケットピンが折れているので送った商品と違うといわれ返品不可といわれました。
こちらは、装着時に確認をしたのですがそのときはピンは折れていませんでした。
そして、それでも動作しなかったです。
もし返却した商品のピンが折れていたしたら、それは梱包して返却するときに折れたのかもしれません。
返品した商品は破棄するといってるし、こちらは確認のしようがありません。
納得いかない、高い商品なのでとくに頭にきます。

まず、最初に見た目がめちゃくちゃいい！
開けた瞬間、あぁこれ好きってなりました。
自作で組み立てなんて5、６年ぶりくらいだけど、マニュアルがわかりやすくすぐに組み立て終わった。
起動すると、BIOSも見やすく自動でやってくれた。また、Windowsを入れた後もあらかじめインストールリストみたいなのが表示され、勝手にやってくれたのですごい楽だった。

M.2ソケット、PCIeスロット上下不安定。OSは読み込むものチップセットのドライバーだけしか読み込まず再起動、その後は立ち上がるものの再起動を繰り返すとロゴが出てから動かなくなる。モニターへの出力はされているのでマザーが怪しいとなりました。初期不良に当たらなければ良いマザボだと思います。

安定性については、VRMが16フェーズとCPUをハンドリングするうえでは十分かと思います。
Bios更新は、CPUもメモリも無しで更新できるので便利です。
LEDの英数字でマザーボードの状況も確認できるので、うまく立ち上がらない場合の原因究明に役立ちそう。
安定性に分かりやすさと、扱いやすさのがあるのでオススメできるマザーです。

The package I received did not include M.2 SSD screws so I had to buy spare screws separately. Better to check everything before you start building.
