I bought an iPad mini for myself about six months ago. I miss some features from the Android but love the simplicity and reliability of the mini. It is just about a perfect mix of features and usability. And that is why I bought this one for my wife. Usability is paramount to her. She loves hers too!

Perfect size for travel - replaces e-reader and much easier to type on than a phone, yet fits in a standard sized purse or backpack. Makes photo-editing easy, holds lots of music and artwork. Great travel companion.

Got my iPad today on Tuesday and I ordered it on sat. It is a Christmas present so I haven't played with it. But turned it on to set up after hearing stories of getting used iPads I had to check. I called apple with the sn and it was in fact.......... New. I'm very pleased just hope my daughter is as well. I would recommend buying from this seller

Doesn't turn on all the time. Goes dead quick and I never really use it. Shuts off on me to its convenience

Bought for my husband's Christmas gift. He travels a lot in his job and this is just what he needed. There have been no issues/problems with the performance of the iPad mini. Great size/dependable.

This is so light weight., intuitive, easy to get going. All my Kindle library easy to access. Came very quickly. I am no geek but find this is a bonus to use for email, text, news, internet, etc.

I am writing this as an upgraded view not as a first time iPad buyer. i actually got the 64GB version but i do not see it listed on Amazon at time of writing this so i'll review the 16gb. i bought the black, i had the white. i went black because as beautiful as the white is i found myself looking at the bezile often. the bright white distracted me from the screen sometimes. the bezel fades out of view when black and i find myself seeing more of what is on the screen.
the retina display is a huge upgrade. i have corrective lenses and need 1.25 reading glasses. reading all text on the retina is worth the upgrade for me. while i do not have an iPad to compare the color gamut i can say that i think the colors are fine. the display is a worthwhile upgrade consideration. as much of an improvement the screen is the processor is an even bigger improvement. i use to see load time of a game called Field Runner2 HD (there is a free version too if you want to check your mini) of 40 seconds or so, the new mini loads twice as fast. i wish i took a video of the two side by side before i sent my old one to a friend. it was amazing how much faster the new iPad loads games. i did do a video on the retina loading the game and it is posted on other available iPad mini on Amazon.
i would like to say the iPad mini should have had the fingerprint scanner and all Apple products are overdue for built in wireless charging. still this is a really nice product and i am glad i spent the money on the upgrade.

I bought my wife this iPad for Xmas. She loves it. In fact it has difficult to get her to put it down. She is a Pinterest junkie and this iPad is the perfect size for her.

Weighs less, type face pretty small, mine had an ATT SIM card slot which was not advertised as part of the deal. 64 gigs and the SIM on my existing phone plan is only $10 / month. Fits easily in a purse. Very handy. And for anyone contemplating a tablet, get an iPad. It is the apps which determine how useful a non computer is, no one has better apps than Apple .

I like this product but I must say the accessories are outrageously overpriced. Come on 40 bucks for a lightning cable? I have learned that the new lightning connector is highly proprietary. WHile is its a clever design (its reversible), Apple can change the pin-outs on the fly because the each pin is controlled by a chip. This makes it almost impossible for low cost accessory manufacturers to sell affordable cables and such. I presume any third party accessory would have to be made under license from Apple in order to assure compatibility.
I understand the merits of this in that it sustains an improved level of quality, at least short term. But forcing high prices on inexpensive accessories essentially is a stealth way of further inflating/subsidizing Apple's enormous cash war chest, north of 200 billion bucks.
As competing tablets refine over time, I predict this proprietary strategy will decrease Apple market share as people wise up to this elitist high value game. Do you get what you pay for? I think the Apple Mini Retina is a great execution of a table product? But your not getting what you pay for if you need a cable or interface that needs the lighting technology to operate. Apple is clever but they may have outsmarted themselves.

This iPad mini is the perfect gift for my 5 year old daughter, we've been through 2 android tablets and they just did not meet her learning needs. This tablet will grow with her and the 32gb of memory are greatly appreciated. The tablet is big enough to keep her busy with learning, movies, and picture taking.

i'm not what you would call an Apple fanatic, but i do have an iphone and a macbook pro. However, I do have a gaming pc that i built myself so when buying this tablet it was between the google nexus (2nd gen) and this one. I tried both out from friends, etc and waited about 6 months trying to decide. While the lower price and general flexibility of the Nexus were huge draws, I decided to buy this instead (mostly because I had a giftcard for amazon. Other reasons included its resale value. My friend sold is old iPad 2 around the same time I bought this and he sold it for a little less than $200. I figured that if I ever wanted a new one, I could sell this and get a ton of money on the resale, whereas there are so many Android devices that they fade from memory and don't have high resale values.
I've had it for a few months and use it for a wide variety of stuff. Its performance is amazing and I do not regret buying it.

Ipad mini has too many scratches , defective product. I bought used from Amazon and the " the wifi will disconnect when I use social media like VIBER, LINE, WeChat. Take note be careful in buying used Ipad Mini. The over all internet is too slow and I dont know what Im gonna do with this item the seller doesnt wanna take it back.
