I was worried about A5 chip as the performance would be slow for iOS 8. But it's awesome. I like it.

I used to have a full size iPad. And then I decided to change to a smaller tablet, in this case, iPad mini.
Pros:
First, I love the size and weight of iPad mini. I can easily hold it with one hand and read a book for a long time. It is much much lighter than the iPad3 that I used to have. It feels like a pad of paper, which makes the reading experience really good.
Second, the screen is good. For my mum, the fonts is little too small. But for me, it is excellent. The fonts are sharp, color is good. (Although I heard that the color accuracy is not very good, but I cannot tell.)
Third, Apps. Since I use iPhone, I can find all the apps that I need. Especially 53Paper. I enjoy drawing on my iPad mini a lot.
Cons:
The sound of speakers feels tiny. Maybe the case that I use is the cause here, but the speaker is not the best.
Overall, great small size tablet.

What restrictive POS. MAC did a good job limiting your ability to do anything independent of iTunes. If you like being monitored and controlled, this is the device for you.

I purchased a Kindle HDX last fall mostly because of its price. I was wanting an alternative to a laptop that was portable and that I would use primarily to do FaceBook, Pinterest, email, some general web surfing and to shop. (I'm value conscious, plus I'm someone who generally resists jumping on the latest bandwagon with the masses, which is sort of how I viewed the ipad and overall Apple craze.) I am not particularly high tech, as I come to the tech world late, having done less than the average amount of work with computers in my work life. But I thought I was getting along all right with utilizing its functions. Then a fortuitous thing happened: I dropped my Kindle and the screen shattered irreparably. It had begun to feel like a "necessity" so I was keen to replace it. The ipad mini had gotten my attention - and the price was better than I'd expected, so I took the plunge and got it. Wow - what a difference! Interfacing with the ipad technology is intuitive and IT JUST WORKS BETTER! The Kindle was cumbersome in some intangible way that was not readily apparent until I used the ipad. Now I'm thinking my next PC will be Apple. I LOVE my ipad!!!

This Apple iPad mini is an excellent product to have and for the low price point, it really can't be beat. The retina display is beautiful, the OS is very slick, and it has all of the apps you could possibly want. I wouldn't get this device anywhere else than on Amazon due to mainly because of the lower price point that other vendors don't have listed. I've had this product for quite a while now and it works just as well as it did when it came right out of the box so reliability is not an issue. And if for some reason you find faults in this device, Amazon's return policy is good as it gets so you should have no problem getting your money back.

I thought the mini iPad is new but I was wrong because I found out someone used it to searched or visited several pornographic website... And forgot to wipe off all site history that he/she visited before selling. This is bad for business.

Kids love this. Had a full size prior which broke so decided to try this smaller version which works just as well. Fits even better in hands of little ones. Would recommend for children.

I have an original iPad but needed to update. I love this one. It is a good size to travel with while also looking and running great. Very happy I upgraded from the original version.

This was a gift for my girlfriend, so I really have not had much of an opportunity to look at it. What I can say is that she carries it with her everywhere and it is already a part of her daily life. That must say something.

I reluctantly received my iPad as a Christmas gift from my husband but, soon realized during the initial set-up that it's really only an over-sized iPod so, that considerably lessened the anxiety about using it. I purchased a case with a Bluetooth keyboard function, forced myself to take it to meetings to take notes purposefully leaving behind my paper and pen, purchased a few ibooks, and now I can't imagine NOT having my iPad with me. When I leave for trips I no longer have to deal with taking my notebook and the cords, mouse, flash drives, etc. that I had to make sure I carried with me. Apple tries to make a selling point about having a better security protocol for their lost or stolen tablets than other brands, but these measures are not foolproof and can recovery of a lost stolen item can make the process exasperating if you don't read the consumer reviews and comments before/after you've registered your purchase.

Bought for the grandson for Christmas and he hates to put it down. We have used iPads for years now, and like the original sized iPad, this one is perfect. Thank you Apple Corp for great products!

Bought this for my husband for Christmas for him to use at work. He says it does what he needed it to and he didn't need one with a lot of bells and whistles. The price was great to meet his needs.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter, it came quickly was just as described and worked right out of the box. She seems to love it. I was worried it was going to be a little small, but the price was right. My daughter doesn't seem to mind the small size at all. I got the 32 GB for her because she already has a lap top computer to keep her music and video in, so I knew she could use a smaller size (and it was less expensive) but if you didn't have a place to store your files I would think one with more hard drive space would be better.

Got this NEW - in sealed box. Very happy with it. The display is crisp and clear..... I don't even see the need to have the Retina Display..... Not at over $200 more. Nothing lacking! I can see all the detail on the many apps for photo and art - so I am very pleased with this purchase. The seller delivered as promised. Be sure you buy a NEW one. Worth the extra money.
I did need to update the Ipad to IOS 7....... which took a while on Wi-Fi, but was successful.
I DID have an issue with the charge cable....... Called Apple, and they sent another charge cable and adapter.
That's why buying a NEW one with the warranty is a smart idea. HAPPY! I was getting envious of all the photo effects that my friends were able to use.... and wanted to have MAC programs like Garageband and IPhoto also. This fills the bill! It has snappy performance and if you have good Wi-Fi, it's all you will need.

Bought 3 IPADs for my grandsons. This was all they wanted for Christmas. They LOVE them🎅. After we set them up which was easy step by step and download a few games they were so happy. NaNa hit a home run.

This was for my great granddaughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it!!! Works great. We watched a movie together on it. Its pretty neat. I wouldn't know how to use it, but kids take no time at all in working it. It's very nice.
