it will not wake up on its own if its 83% charged .. I have to plug in the charger to use square.. not satisfied about that...

Item described as "new". However, arrived with slight signs of use. I noticed some dust and lint under the plastic immediately upon opening the package. Also, a couple of tiny dings indicate it is not brand new. For the price, its not bad but I was disappointed to find it wasn't "new" as described.

My iPad mini 2 blows away my Google Nexus 7. The battery lasts forever and the resolution is incredible.

The iPad mini is great. It is amazing all of the apps the that can be downloaded. The images are crystal clear. I was blown away to know that my husband, who the gift is for, can make phone calls from it using his cell phone.
He was even able to down load all of our movie accounts on it such as Netflix, Amazon and Direct TV to it. My husband can not put it down.

I absolutely love my IPad mini. It is the perfect size to hold. Not as heavy to hold as the larger size IPad. The screens clarity is amazing

I brought the Verizon version for its hardware. I read the Verizon version will work on other carriers but the same is NOT true of the ATT - so for me its was protecting the resale value.
Love the LTE speed.
I got the 32 Gb version since the 16 is way to low for me for the books and magazines I read.
In a pinch I can use the tethering feature on it if my cable goes out and I dont think verizon cares - as long as I dont suddenly spike on my data usage. The same cant be said of ATT.
The ipad itself is so much easier to handle. Its sooo much lighter than the regular iPad. after using it I cant get over how heavy the 10 inch one is.
I also had a regular sized 32Gb iPad 3 w/ RD. and sold it to get the asus transformer prime. I got it since it had one feature I wanted, the expandable memory. I loved the Prime at first but it was glitchy and got slower over time. But it was never quite as smooth as polished as iOS. I guess google needs to work on improving their "photocopier".
I started using my wife's iPad one day and just kept using it since it was so much smoother and it never froze up like the prime.
I decide to get a mini since it had just come out and it was cheaper. I got the 32 Gb LTE version for a little more than the base regular wi-fi only ipad with 16 Gb.
The non-retina display is not a big deal for me even though I had a iPad 3 and a iphone 4 (replaced w/ a 5). The resolution IS better than a non-retina display iPad but not as good as the ipad 4 w/ RD. Bottom line its good enough to watch movies and view pictures or magazines on.
The mini with LTE is the perfect size for using as a gps in the car. Its way bigger than almost all gps provided in any car right now. Plus it doesnt cost +$2K like it does as an option on a car.
Its also the perfect size to use to control my TV as a remote for Apple TV, Comcast (although I have the wrong cable box right now), ...
Cons: The only down side thats important to me was the lack of expandable memory. But I did find a fix for that. I use a Seagate GoFlex Satellite Mobile Wireless Storage 500 GB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive STBF500101 Black. It lets me stream wirelessly up to 500 Gb of movies, music or whatever to my ipad. It even works if I dont have a wi-fi signal since it generates its own signal. And upto 3 devices can watch 3 different movies at the same time. pretty cool.

I keep my iPad mini with Retina display in the living room. (I'm a bit lazy and have a iPad Air 2 in the bedroom.) I picked my iPad mini off Apple's refurb website.
I use my iPad mini as an additional remote with my Harmony Hub to control my basic home theater set up that consists of a Sony 52 inch LCD TV, Comcast DVR cable box, Roku3, and Sony Bluray player and couldn't be happier!

The iPad arrived quickly from a 3rd party shipper. Although the item was sold as refurbished it arrived in new condition with the screen covered and with a charger. Setup went quickly although selecting upper and lower case letters for my wifi password was not intuitive and took a few trys. Downloading apps was easy and I quickly added Netflix, Facebook and Amazon. I bought this item for long flights on Southwest and it looks like it will do the task nicely. I am very happy with my iPad mini.

Bought this for my wife to carry in her purse. I see it on her desk at home too which is a positive indication that she likes it. I really like Apple products for my wife. I might help with the initial setup but hardly ever have to provide any additional support. That is a big thumbs up from me.

I bought this as a gift for someone who is, ahem...an older gentleman. He loves it! Grandkids are amazed when they walk in the room and catch him checking the football scores and his emails!

It was supposedly "good" meaning it had some defects - I have yet to locate those defects. The screen, the shell, the buttons, and every other function are in perfect working condition. I would have thought it was brand new.

It is small enough to hold in the palm of your hand and easy to transport, I bought a keyboard with magnetic clip allowing me to have the functionalty of a laptop. The mini screen resolution is great for watching movies on prime or netflix. You need to buy an ear piece to get great sound for music or movies.

Got this through my local cable company for $50. They were running a special and for $50 gave me this device to use, no strings attached. It's great.....especially in the bathroom, where I can watch porn and movies while I'm on the toilet or play music (decent speakers) while taking a s***/shower. I don't dabble with the apps much (I'm an Android guy) but I like this device!

This tablet is great but it lacks some important functions of iPhone. Some important missing applications are Stocks, Voice recording, and Weather. Functions very smooth and very reliable. I like it!
