Arrived on time, came in packaging just like if I were to buy from Apple. And the fact that I saved $50 by buying it from here is also another great reason to buy from here than somewhere else.
The corners of the packaging were slightly bent, but had no affect on the product itself.
I've had mine for a month or so, got some movies, games and GarageBand on it and zero problems!
Before buying I didn't know if I should get with or without retina display, but after using it for a while, the retina display is totally worth the extra money! It also has a faster processing chip so it runs more smoothly and faster, even if the memory is mostly filled!

I was uneasy ordering from the third party sellers, but all seems to be very well. I received the iPad within 3 days, brand new, in shrink wrap, perfect. One issue, and this is amazon itself, could definitely use some bumper packaging in the box. The iPad was in an amazon box and was banging around in there. *I am very particular about stability of electronics* A couple of cardboard bumpers would be great. I ordered from Tech Giant, and they were fantastic. Processed quickly, the iPad, as I stated, was brand new. Not a refurb, not a prior owner, and had 12 months applecare. I love the iPad, it is a beauty. I've used iPod touches for the past 7 or so years, and this is like night and day. The retina screen is fabulous. That and the faster processor make the extra $ worth it for me. I can't think of anything bad to say about this product. I'm smitten with it and cannot put it down. I definitely advise having a good case when you order, so it's not unprotected during use at all. Hope this was helpful. :)

Never had an Apple product before this one and I was able to learn it easily. If I can learn how to use it then do can you. Get a good and screen protector immediately. Do not wait on those items. Protect your investment. I love my iPad. Use it a but too much...lol!

Awsome tablet, a bit pricey but great. I changed my galaxy tab 3 8 inch for this one, and will not say the tab 3 is a bad choice but the ipad mini retina is a superior tablet, the build quality is amazing! The look and design are flawless, The speed is also excellent and of course the screen resolution is where the money is. The rear camera takes excellent pictures just as good as the iphone 5 i belive, and the front facing camera also has good resolution. In terms of Apps, i believe the Apple apps seem to be a bit better designed than android's, but android does have its perks. For example i miss the utorrent app!, also android's openness and the huge customization options it offers. But again i tell you this ipad mini with retina display is an incredible device, and i guaranteed you will not be disapointed with it. I watch movies in it mostly on netflix, they look great, i also do all of my social media, web surfing and emailing with no trouble. One of the things that got me to buy this ipad, where the excellent free apps tha come with it, it comes with: imovie, iphoto, garageband, keynote, numbers, and pages and they are all amazing apps, and i believe they are all worth about 45$, so it's a great value, specially if you are like me, who makes music all the time and edit videos also from time to time. So if you can afford it, you won't regret buying this ipad, it's almost perfect. If not the galaxy tab 3 (but the 8 inch version) is a great choice for the money and the galaxy note i believe is also great.

This mini ipad & all Apple products are very nice but still too expensive for what they do. I am used to the ipod touch so it is sort of a shock when I expected the ipad to act like the ipod. On the youtube app I like to save my favorite videos but I still can not find a way to save them unless I sign into youtube. I like my privacy. On my old ipod touch I could easily add them to my favorites list and view them later. I have yet to find a way to do this on the new ipad mini granted I have only worked on it a couple of minutes. Overall a very nice ipad mini but it is somewhat complicated to use. By the way, I also own the hp and blackberry tablets so I have experience with these products.

Yes, I'm old, but the "directions" for actually linking this machine with others on iCloud are certainly written in Greek and hidden like scavenger hunt items. Right now my email page has frozen on the iPad and there is no link that I can find on any of my Apple devices to fix it. Another trip to the Apple store, make your reservation in advance, then get there and wait, blah blah blah.

I purchased a couple of Apple iPad mini's for my nine year old grandchildren for Christmas. They are very happy with them. I think they feel that they are a part of the digital age, now. Their mom likes the fact that she can track their whereabouts, as well as, restrict their usage not appropriate for their age. They like the fact that they can send messages and pictures of themselves to their mother. They are not allowed to take the iPad mini's to school.

This year I purchased two of these as gifts and am awfulky glad I did. The recepients are extremely happy and swear by these. They love them. I recomned them as I can see hiw tgey are used and they are enjoyed. Don't hesitate, they are smsll and are not cumbersome.

The iPad mini is a great little tablet. It's high resolution screen, iOS8, speaker, and camera are outstanding. This tablet is significantly nicer than the older "full sized" iPads (iPad - iPad with retina). If you don't compare it to the iPad Air, you would never notice that it isn't as fast and the picture isn't as clear. On it's own it is a great tablet! It's small size and light weight make it very easy to carry around everywhere. Both of my grandmothers own one (70 years-old respectively) as well as my boss (60ish years respectively) as well as my 17year-old brother. iPads are easy to use and they work. Don't waste you money on other name brands. They are junk and will leave you with a broken heart.

The smart phone was a great buy without a contract. I purchased a sim card from the company I wanted to be with for 99 cents. I have a pay as you go card which gives me flexibility to change to a different cellular company if I'm not happy, without any early penalty charges. Happy!

the speed difference between this and my ipad mini 2 is barely noticeable. the only noticeable difference is the screen resolution which is significantly improved on newer devices. otherwise, no reason to buy anything more than this.

Love it but do yourself a favor and invest in a heavy-duty case. Don't buy the stuff that Apple sells. If you actually plan to take this anywhere, buy the heavy duty case right away and you'll be thankful. I bought a cheap plastic case with a pull-out keyboard... and my toddler dropped it about 6 inches onto the floor, it hit the corner and broke the keyboard from the plastic case. Worthless! My ipad was not damaged but from that point on, I'm never going without a heavy duty case because Apple refuses to use heavy duty (Gorilla) glass. That's the only thing I don't like.

Always wanted an Ipad and this one rocks! Love how pretty and light it is. Now just have to buy a leather case to keep it safe and pretty. Offers tons of features, but actually bought it for the ebooks to replace my old Nook!

It's perfect. Lightweight and compared to the original iPad, it seems so much more portable. I love how long the battery lasts as well, compared to my 2nd Gen iPad, this was exceptional. Cons - The iPad is incapable of picking up wifi reception from short distances. For example, my wireless router is located in the family room which is about 45yds from the pool house and I had to buy another router for the pool house to get reception there. Otherwise, this is an amazing machine.

What can I say that hasn't been said in other reviews. It's an ipad that does everything that it is supposed to do. I bought it for my wife to do video calls to the kids. It works fine, using Facetime for apple to apple, and OOVOO for apple to android.

I own many pads 1,2,,3 iPods, apple TV, i mac mini iPhone all models they are all great products.I do use the i pad mini the most.Its a five star item by far. I curse my computer every day. The i pad mini is like so different and a perfect screen size and a i pad never crashes.

First off, I was just browsing this item on my Amazon app, when I accidentally purchased it. I immediately tried to cancel the item, but was unable to. Then after reading reviews about issues people were having regarding the product arriving used, I wanted to cancel it even more and continued trying up to two days after ordering. Again, unsuccessful.
It was also eligible for Amazon Prime and was supposed to arrive within two days. I ordered on Wednesday afternoon and said it was expected (not guaranteed as with all other Prime orders) to arrive by Monday at 8 PM. It's Monday at 8:30 PM and there's still no iPad mini here. It was supposed to be a Mother's Day gift that I planned to give yesterday.
Also, with tracking info, it says the item was shipped and is in transit, but there's no tracking info. I put in my tracking number on USPS and the only thing it shows is that the item was given to the shipping partner in KY.
I'm still waiting... I'll post an update if/when it comes. I already spoke with an Amazon rep who told me they could give me a full refund if the item doesn't arrive and or arrives used (instead of new, as listed). The rep also agreed that this whole situation seemed very odd and unusual for an Amazon Prime order.

This was a gift to my son for his 7th birthday. He loves it! He's playing all kinds of apps (games, educational, art, etc), and he's watching Netflix cartoons on it with his 4 year old sister. He loves that he can take pics and videos too. I'm happy with the speed and it works with the wi-fi in my house.
The following are the reasons I didn't make it 5 stars:
1) the cost of apps. A lot of them that claim to be free lure you into spending extra $ but I'm glad that I have to enter the password to approve purchases
2) disappointed with the storage space and that it can't be expanded. I get more storage on my smart phone
3) wish it had flash for the pictures and videos. I also get this feature on my smart phone so that takes better pics.

Apple definitely has the market beat when it comes to tablets and this one is no exception. The display is beautiful. I'm not much a fan of IOS8 but on the tablet it is nowhere near as bad as the phone. Coming from an iPad 2, I could never go back to a larger-sized tablet. It is the perfect size for hands and even with a case it is still perfect. Do not waste your money for the iPad mini 3, the added features are not worth the cost. This model is very fast.

I was very hesitant about buying a used product from a seller, so I read the descriptions very carefully. This particular one seemed like it would be a good deal, so I took the plunge. Our iPad mini was perfect and didn't have s scratch on it. It was brand new! We were so pleased, and our kids love to play games and watch cartoons on it on long car rides. The screen delivers a beautiful screen, and we are very happy with out purchase.

I am enjoying it very much although I had to call a couple of times to get instructions. Your instructions posted on the internet are OK in general but leave a lot of unanswered questions. I am 81 years old so am not as adept as the younger generation about electronics. I will be flying by the seat of my pants!

I already have the iPad 2 and loved that but I'm a commuter on a train during the week and this iPad Mini 3 is a wonderfully transportable size. The display is crisp and I love the thumbprint technology just like on the iPhones. Highly recommend this product!

I like it but I don't think the charger is the right one to use. When I charge my iPad it shows on the screen that this isn't the charger I should be using. A friend looked at the charger and said he didn't think that was the correct charger to be using!!! What should I do?

When the iPad first came out I bought one. It was truly amazing. I loved the way it worked. The portability was a relief after lugging around a 7 pound laptop. But the 1st gen iPad wasn't exactly light and holding it for any extended period was tiring.
When iPad Air came out I bought one. Much lighter than the 1st gen. I still found it somewhat awkward to hold for any extended period. For Christmas I bought my wife the iPad Air Mini. At that point I realized the Mini was perfect. I can hold it in one hand!
So I bought myself a Mini. The price from this seller was the best I could find anywhere.
The Mini is just awesome. I use it much more than the full-sized Air. The screen is bright and crisp. It's just big enough to make browsing comfortable. In my book, this is the best size for a tablet. A 7 inch feels cramped. A 10 inch is just awkward to hold.
