Великолепно

As a professional CCTV Installer, I've used these 2TB hard drives in all of my DVRs and have worked flawlessly. They are very reliable and for the price, you can't go wrong. Awesome product!

Even though I am using a brand new computer and windows 7 home premium I cannot access more than 2.1 TB of the drive. It is quite though. I guess I should look on HP website for updated drivers.

The product description purposely hides the speed spec of the hard drive. It is 5400RPM, not 7200RPM. It's quiet, but slow!!

I've built several windows home servers over the years, and the last two I've built I've used these 3TB drives in, and have had no problems or failures.They're quiet, and worked great with both the V1 of windows home server (though limited to 2TB due to the software restrictions of the OS) and in the 2008 based Windows Home server 2011 (where you can set it as GPT and use all 3 TB).I've got seven of these on my current home server, using drive bender software to create the pool. The price was great, and the cost of the 6 3TB drives was only a little more than a previous batch of 6 2TB drives I got not too long ago. And there's something pleasing about having a "single" 21TB partition to work with for all my media.They're connected to my Atom 525 based motherboard (5 on that with my 500GB system drive using the 6th port) and two hanging off of a 4 port add in card. All working well and running 24/7.

I just ordered 4 of these to go in my Synology DS411 which I also purchased from Amazon. 2 of them shipped from Amazon and 2 came from Portable Guy. Amazon did a terrible job of packaging the HDDs and they were tumbling around in the box when I received it; the Portable Guy shipment was well-protected and in much more appropriate packaging. To my amazement they all booted up and are running OK (for now at least). I don't mind the 5400 rpm speed since I've got 4 drives running; the DS411 is a perfect companion to these drives! Very happy so far with everything!

I own several other WD 2 TB drives (WD20EARS), and this is pretty much a similar drive. Drive is "green" meaning it won't break any speed records. If you are using for data archiving / backups, speed isn't nearly as important as sheer volume. I ran several surface checks upon receiving, and no bad sectors were found. Price is still a little high when compared to a year ago due to overseas floods, but is coming down as supplies creep back up. Good quality so far, after loading it with over a TB of data.

I received 3 3 tb hard drive and 2 out of 3 were dead. I did a rma with western digital and they sent a quick turnaround once they received the shipment. I didn't do a return to amazon because they were temporary out of the hard disks. The replacement hard disks are working great with drobo.

it wass well packd and delverd well, no damge i am from saudi arabia and its hard to return the packege if ther is damge so i am hapy i bout 5X3TB WD for my synology dx510 ther real size of a 3TB HD is 2794.52 GB and for the 2TB 1863.02 GB, i did Raid 5 to all 3TB HDD and came with a 10.89 TB with one of them for protection this HardDisk is not the best HardDisk but its good for medum userse if you have a company and use servers 24/7 you suld go to the enterprise Hard Disk

I ordered one of these last week and it arrived DOA. Win7 couldn't format it. HD Tune Pro found multiple bad blocks and reported it would take 1,100,000 more hours to complete the scan. I returned the drive and got a replacement. Same story, except the bad blocks started a little farther into the scan. Clearly quality control problems with WD drives.The good news is Amazon service. The RMA was automatic and postage paid. Replacement arrived in one day. With other vendors you'd pay $10 shipping and wait 5-7 days for a replacement. Ditto for the second RMA, but Amazon suggested that I was having a bad run and maybe should buy a different drive. Three cheers for Amazon service.I've given up on the 2 TB drives. I ordered two of the 1.5 TB drives instead. If they both work, one will go on the shelf. Looking at the reviews on Amazon and Egghead, there's less than a 2% chance that I could get 4 bad drives in a row. My fingers are crossed.

I've been running this for a week or so in my home theater PC. I haven't pushed it hard (recording/watching the occasional tv show), but it seems to work fine, and I had no issues setting it up. I wouldn't recommend this drive for heavy usage, as it is not made for that purpose. I can't hear the drive at all. It arrived in perfect condition, in sufficient packaging. Others have noted issues with quality control with these drives, but so far, so good for me!

Worked great, out of the box. I have it in a docking station as an external HD, and it has worked fine since arrival. My 2nd WD HD and I have no complaints.

Reasonably quite. Seems to perform well. So far so good. When I bought it this was the least expensive 2TB 7200 RPM sata drive. I find it good value for the money.

I bought this to replace a broken 1.5 Tb disk. So far this seems to be fine. No issues. It is still as quiet as the old 1.5 TB disk no complaints. This went into a 4 bay disk array with 3 other 1.5 Tb drives.

I installed this in my puter. 1st no mounting screws, 2nd no instructions, 3 no cables to hook to boards. After running around town to aquire the necessary hardware to hooked it up. It ran great and is still going with out a problem.Gave 4 stars because no instruction, or mounting screws. The cables I found don't come with it. Shipping was fast and packaging was good.

Took a chance on this drive due to the glowing reviews (even though it has some bad ones also). Never even got a chance to try it since it was dead on arrival.*EDIT* 8 Mar 2012Took another chance. Returned the DOA, and got another one from Amazon. It also arrived DOA. All my other hard drives that I have show up so I dont think its me. Gonna look for a different brand I guess.

One of my frustrations with Amazon is they're not consistent in providing spindle speeds for hard drives. So, instead of going to Western Digital and checking I figured, "Hey its the end of 2011, nobody is still producing 5400 rpms anymore are they?", and went ahead and bought this. First let me say that the ordering/receiving process was first rate. No problems there. Saying that, after I bought this unit I came upon somebody's blog, can't remember where, which stated that hard drives carrying the label "Green" are slow spinning drives, i.e., 5400. Wanting 7200, I disappointed myself because I didn't check first. So, if you're looking for a 7200 rpm'er. This, and apparently all Green drives, ain't for you. Aside from that the drives runs fine.
