Game changer for online instruction
Just a disclaimer, I do not use this for drawing or art. I use it mainly as a teaching aid for online learning. That being said, I wish I got this a lot sooner. I normally use Zoom for my classes and this makes screens share annotations 100x easier. Also, I normally use a secondary camera (Ipevo V4K) for my whiteboard, this has completely rendered that obsolete. Using windows ink workspace which has a whiteboard I can now use a virtual white board instead of a messy real life white board and camera. I still use the camera for to show sections on textbooks and other stuff but in terms of whiteboard drawing, it is a game changer. Also, I noted in other reviews the difficulty in setting up. I did not find it difficult at all and I have a 9 year old computer.
Step 1: Plug it in
Step 2: Download and install driver and software (I did this by googling how to install wacom tablet)
Step 3: Restart computer
Step 4: Use

A great beginners tablet
Great starting tablet for beginner digital artists or graphic designers! I use it for traveling since it's small and it fits well inside my laptop bag. The only thing I have a problem with is that the bottom doesn't act like an eraser when I flip it around, but I probably didn't read the description details to figure that one out. Nonetheless, I really enjoy this product!

good tablet but wire started fraying
The wire is starting to fray where it goes into the tablet. I have had this tablet for about half a year. The real estate on the tablet is a bit small, but the sensitivity and pressure sensitivity is great. I love the fact that it literally charges through the nib of the pen which is amazing. I replaced the fraying wire with a regular micro usb, and it seems to work fine. Also, a while ago the program to change the settings for the wacom tablet also stopped working before I replaced the wire. I'm still figuring that one out. Overall, it is a very useful tablet for making anki flash cards. I used to have a bamboo pen, but you can't use both the bamboo pen on my touchscreen and the wacom tablet at the same time which is weird.

Bluetooth is awesome
This is really great for the beginner who want to learn how to do digital drawing. I let my friends ten years old kid use it and she loves it immediately and after ten minutes she is already get used to it. I use 21" and 13" cintiq for my design work; however, I want something i can take out to coffee shop and work there. this built-in Bluetooth is so perfect for my situation. Although there's still some small issues like nib disappear so fast and the pen pressure is a bit weird for me. it's still a great product so far.

HUGE Disappointment
I wanted to use the tablet for graphic design and photo editing in Photoshop on Win 10. The pen was extremely buggy, slow, and just too frustrating to use. I constantly had to switch to another window and then back into Photoshop when the pen would "crash" in Photoshop. Using it as a pointing device in other programs was equally frustrating and unpredictable. I spent an entire day watching set up videos on YouTube and reading tutorials to see if there were settings that would resolve my problems but nothing helped. Even using my laptop's track pad is 1000% more accurate and predictable. I read an Amazon review of the tablet that said the person was told by tech support that the tablet does not work properly in Win 10. I ignored the warning but now I believe it. I'm sending it back, very disappointed!

As Good As They Get At This Price Point
I've had the previous version/generation (which also had fingertip touchpad capability - this one doesn't) and wish I hadn't sold it. It's the basic, no Bluetooth, no touchpad version, so it's the cheapest. (I don't see how Bluetooth would be a benefit for anyone with something like this...) It has a small footprint (about 6" X 8") on your desk, and still offers plenty of versatility. I use it for photo editing, but I'd suggest getting a larger size if you're into graphic drawing or painting. The one big improvement is that the micro-USB port is no longer in a tunnel, so you don't have to use the Wacom proprietary 90*-bend cable, and you're not stuck with the cable sticking out directionally left of the tablet - which runs right into my keyboard. Right-handed people would probably like the cord to go off to the right because of a typical desktop layout. A Wacom cable that runs straight out the top to the right would be ideal.

Comes with all 3 free software apps but I'm probably not going to use/need them as I'm sticking with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, so I can't say if they'd be a benefit to you or not. Getting everything downloaded and registered (I use a Mac) is a bit of a PITA, but since I had the previous one I was aware of that hassle and how to navigate everything. Setting it up shouldn't be this difficult; they (Wacom) seem very intense and "fussy" for something so simple to use.

Bluetooth Doesn't Work for Desktops, Period
I wanted to use this tablet with my desktop PC over a Bluetooth connection. I currently don't have any other Bluetooth devices for that machine, so I hadn't gotten an adapter for the PC yet. I purchased an ASUS USB-BT-400, which is Bluetooth version 4.0, and installed it. This worked great, can connect speakers, mice, whatever, to the PC now. Time to install the tablet.

I installed the tablet via USB and downloaded the latest firmware. The interface is sort of klunky for this, but a lot of software written by hardware companies is. (I'm a SW engineer, BTW). Tablet works great -- now to get rid of that annoying cable, because if there's one thing I don't need it's another cable on my desk.

So I push the button on the tablet to make it discoverable and the blue light starts blinking. Sure enough, the PC finds the tablet, and pairs up OK. I'm running a Windows box and the device shows up in 'Devices and Printers' and also in 'Bluetooth Devices'. It even correctly identifies the model number. The tablet, however doesn't work at all. After about one minute the Bluetooth connection is dropped. This happens multiple times.

So, I call Wacom and find out that they "don't support any USB Bluetooth dongle." WTF?!?!?!? Their tablets are only designed to be used with computers that have "native Bluetooth", whatever that means. When pressed they said that the issue was with the USB part of the stack, although I think that the tech just said that to get me off the phone.

So I think that maybe if I find a PCIe Bluetooth card, if such a thing exists, that might work. Or, if it doesn't then at least I will know that the tech was BSing me.

Turns out that no such thing exists! You can get combination Bluetooth and wireless cards for PCIe, but they all use one of two base cards (Qualcomm and Intel, I think) and both of these cards translate Bluetooth into USB, so you have to connect the card to a USB header on the mother board to get the Bluetooth functionality. But that puts us right back to Wacom's tablet not supporting Bluetooth over USB.

The end of the story is that I have spent several hours messing around with this piece of junk, to no avail. I'm sure that it's a great tablet over USB, but according to Wacom itself, you might as well not buy the Bluetooth version if you have a desktop. This, by the way, is for their entire product line, apparently.

I guess this is now the time that I also complain that the auto registration feature in the setup "wizard" didn't work, and the registration page on the Wacom website is also broken. You have to register the device to get the free software, which I don''t really want anyway, but hey, it's free. At least the tech registered my device for me while we were on the phone. I haven't downloaded the software though, as I'm hoping to be able to return this worthless hunk of junk.

It works great and it was as easy as plug-n-play on my Linux laptop (running Peppermint OS 8)
I didn't have to install any drivers, it worked immediately after plugging it in.
It works as a mouse replacement, and I also tested it in Pinta, Gimp, and OpenBoard (I mostly bought it for use in OpenBoard).
The tablet itself is very responsive and smooth. The buttons on the pen and on the tablet work.
The pressure sensitivity works when affecting the brush stroke OpenBoard, but didn't affect the brush stroke in Pinta or Gimp. I guess that's just because Pinta and Gimp don't recognize different pressures, but I'm not sure.
It's working great and I love it!

Hard to get used to
I needed this for my work computer. Since work doesn't give me a device that I can use a pen on the screen, I needed this.

Geez, after being used to drawing right on the screen, it is so incredibly hard to draw looking at the screen while your hand is drawing in a different location than where your eyes look at.

I mean if you are used to it, this device is fine. But if you have a chance to get something like a Microsoft Surface with pen, do it. It's sooo much easier.

Broke after 2 days + horrible nib
So this is a modified review. The nib was wearing down pretty fast like other reviewers said, and I thought it was going to be okay until literally the brand new nib stopped working after 2 days. It wasn't even that worn down. My pen would be uncontrollable unless I put in a new nib, which is completely baffling. How can anyone use this if they are expected to replace the nib every 2 days? Additionally, the right click button (default top button of pen) also stopped working. Bluetooth is a joke - delays and unregistered clicks. Steer clear of this item.

Boyfriend loved
Purchased this for my boyfriend after his bamboo splash broke, he says he loves it more than the last one! The main thing he says he enjoys is that the pad is sized to fit the screen, so now when he reaches the bottom of the pad with his pen it’s reaching the bottom of the computer frame as well so he doesn’t need to lift up and continue with a second stroke. Is also came in two days even though I’d chosen free 5-8 day shipping

Persnickety. Obdurate. Clueless.
TL;DR: This is probably a fine table for doodling. However, if you are trying to use it for photo editing with Adobe Lightroom and Windows 10, it is unusable. If you must use a tablet for photo edits, don’t use this one: it’s too big and doesn’t have enough buttons. I suggest looking at the Wacom Intuos Pro Digital Graphic Drawing Tablet for Mac or PC, Small (PTH460K0A), assuming you can get it to work.

Original review follows, updated with new information.

I was told this was an essential tool for editing photos in Lightroom and Photoshop.

I was misinformed.

The tablet may work with a Mac, but it is unusable under Windows 10.

Problem: You cannot change the default button assignments for Photoshop.
Update: this was (partially) my fault. Wacom supports various Adobe products, and the Wacom Tablet Properties app dutifully populated the Applications bar with both Photoshop and Lightroom. The problem was, I have two versions of Lightroom and Photoshop on my computer: a perpetual licence version, and the Creative Cloud version. I thought Wacom was configuring all the versions of Photoshop I had on my computer; actually, it was configuring the first version it found. As luck would have it, this was not the version I was using. I fixed this by deleting all the apps from the Applications bar except the “All Other” app, launching the version of the program I wanted to configure, and then configuring it. This was a partial success (see next problem).

Problem: The Scroll/Pan function does not work for Lightroom.
Update: It’s not that Scroll/Pan doesn’t work, so much as the Pen ignores Scroll/Pan when you assign it to a button. Several Lightroom experts recommend this setting, but it doesn’t do me much good when it doesn’t work. And I have been unable to make it work.

Tip: Enabling WIndows Ink just makes matters worse, so be sure to turn that 'feature' off. Not that it's going to fix the previous two problems, but it might save your sanity if all you wanted to do with the table is doodle.

Problem: You can use the Mapping function to use less than the full Tablet Area, but good luck trying to select the portion of the tablet to use with the pen. It is more trouble than it is worth. And once you've mapped an area for the pen to be active in, you'll find that the occasional tap outside the mapped area produced unexpected result.
Update: I contacted Wacom Support about this problem. Or, I should say, I attempted to contact Wacom Support about this problem. It turns out, in order to problem report an issue, you need to supply the tablet’s model and serial number. Ha! Easier said than done. Most companies would put this information on the box, but not Wacom. Instead, they print it in a little tiny font on the back of the table in a pale gray ink that is only visible from certain angles, and only then if you have the eyesight of a Peregrine Falcon. I’m not kidding, see the enclosed photo. I included a tape measure for reference. And bear in mind, this picture was enhanced by my Pixel 2. After finally gathering the requested information, I dutifully opened a Support Request, including the detailed set of steps to reproduce my problem.

To be clear, I didn’t go running to Wacom Support at the drop of a hat; I had done quite a bit of research on the web prior to contacting them. That was where I learned the number one source all Wacom tablet problems is ‘corrupted drivers’, and the number one solution to all Wacom tablet problems is to reinstall said drivers. Frankly, I was surprised to see how often the Wacom drivers could become corrupted; they seem to have the moral fortitude of a 1920’s Chicago Alderman. But, if reinstalling the drivers was the answer to my problem, who was I to question it? I dutifully reinstalled the drivers. Several times. Doing so did not fix the problem. So I submitted my Support Request, and Wacom Support responded the very next business day! And their analysis? It was (wait for it….) corrupted drivers! They gave me very detailed instructions to remove the old drivers, and to install new ones. I followed the instructions to the letter, and all my problems were solved!

Ha-ha, just kidding. The problem remained. Just for giggles, I installed the tablet on my laptop, and the only thing I did was re-map the tablet area. I had the same problem on a band-new installation. This problem is easily reproduced. It’s a shame Wacom Support didn’t bother to read my Support Request and defaulted to the number one fix for all Wacom tablet problems. But corrupted drivers aren’t causing my problem, buggy software is. And until Wacom fixed their software, no amount of re-installation is going to fix my problem.

That’s how things stand today. I’m disappointed with the product, with Wacom’s support (or lack thereof), and I’m tired of fighting this problem. I’m returning the product before the return window closes.

Great for Remote Teaching
When Covid-19 forced me to teach my students remotely, I purchased this so I could write on it while making instructional videos or while teaching via Zoom. It was truly a lifesaver for me, as it made my job easier. Rather than using the document camera I was sent home with and having to manually switch my computer screen back and forth, this little drawing tablet allowed me to transition smoothly between my webcam, slides, and what I needed to write by hand. I don't know what school will be like in the fall, but in any case, I will continue to use this for teaching.

Quality product, but XP-Pen is better for the $$
First off I am not an artist. I do a little of everything Adobe AI, photoshop, writing, drawing, signatures, annotating documents, basic coding, scripts, etc. I recently changed companies and went from Apple to Windows and have been missing some of the peripherals. I was originally looking for a keyboard/trackpad combo that would allow me to kickback(feet on desk), stand up, or be upright and take my interface with me, something different. I landed on drawing tablets and found many reviews of people who switched from a mouse and I was intrigued. I have a 34" monitor & 2 22" monitors(the basics.) The bigger the screen you have the bigger the tablet you need and they quickly get expensive. I ordered the XP-Pen Star05v2 & the Wacom Intuos Wireless Medium.

Unboxing:
The Wacom is much like opening an new iPhone. You get nice packaging, the device, and a charging cable. The texture and quality of the device is lovely. You find yourself liking it before you have even used it.
Setup:
Setup was super easy, I downloaded the software, and connected the device within a couple of minutes.
First impression:
At first it feels really weird at first…when you hover & move the pen over the tablet it moves the mouse. Tapping the tablet is like a mouse click. The pen/tablet is mapped 1:1 to your screen(s). If you go to the top right of the tablet the mouse goes directly to the top right of your screen. You can map the tablet to a specific screen so you have more space to draw on the tablet. You can also turn off the 1:1 mapping by putting the tablet in mouse mode. This is what I did to make the transition easier. However if you want to draw, sign documents, etc you really need to be in drawing/tablet mode. Otherwise your writing looks just like it would using a mouse. I setup some of the shortcuts in the software. I put the tablet back in tablet mode and tried Adobe AI and doing some of my work, diagrams, and did some drawings/writing.
Usability:
The tablet is superb for drawing, writing, design, & precision. I also liked that I could put it in my lap and scroll through web pages, applications, etc. However it just isn't quick enough for me. Perhaps one of the models with the dial and additional buttons would work.
Conclusion:
This unit is nice and if drawing & design were my primary function I would love it. I think I will try one of the other models with the dial. Probably the XP-Pen Pro as the Wacom Intuos Pro is just too expensive for my needs. I think a magic keyboard, magic trackpad, with the bridge would work perfectly for my needs, but I'm still using Windows primarily and not willing to pay for yearly software to make everything work.

Good thing I wasn't SET on the green one. 😜
Ordered the tablet with Pistachio Accent and went out of my way to make sure I liked the color and decided I wanted it. Of course, I got the black one. Seriously? You had ONE JOB KAREN.

It's actually a 5 star product. It's a really great tablet I look forward to enjoying. I'm coming from the cheapest of the cheap Huion tablets. I like those so much I bought one for home use. But my new laptop only has 2 usb ports. So I am on a bluetooth usb-cable-and-dongle-free new life.

ARE YOU NEW TO TABLETS?? The one key technology to consider (Besides wireless, tethered, etc) is the size. I agonized about whether to get small or medium. GET THE SMALL. See, the tablet mimics the entirety of the monitor. If you want to click on something in a tool bar along the sides, you have to pick up your hand and put your pen in the corresponding edge of the tablet. The small tablet means you can get used to the workflow and it isn't as annoying. "What about resolution when I draw?" Zoom in and you'll get full screen resolution the same as looking in the monitor.

The Wacom Intuos is very responsive and already more nuanced than the Huion I come from. Bonus for Wacom's pen not requiring a battery. I had to buy the not-rechargeable Huion pen because I'd forget to charge the pen it came with. Or I'd lose its special cable. The guy who hates Wacom website has a pretty legit gripe. He'd have offed himself, however, trying to get the exactly perfect and sublime chinese driver that makes me really love my Huion tablets. 😜🤣 It let me swap pen buttons and assign the hotkeys so I could use the pen with my CAD software.

Setup was a tad annoying. You MUST use the usb cable to set up the tablet in Windows 10. So plan on downloading their software suite to get it working. Once it is working, you can use bluetooth. While plugged in to the laptop, it will not BT but hopefully, should you need to charge the tablet but it isn't plugged in to laptop, it will still BT. At some point, I'll have to try this to confirm.

Checking out the driver, I am impressed. You can probably assign anything to the hotkeys or pen keys. And then there's an "on screen control" feature which is something like what Blender does only looks MUCH more nuanced. Like there are directions you can assign tasks to. The "Radial Menu" has 9 programmable directions. I'm afraid of the YouTube rabbit hole on this!

Buy it ... but don't count on the color choice being honored.

BEWARE FALSE ADVERTISING
As the title says, beware false advertising. The packaging says you get 3 bonus software, Clip Studio Paint Pro, Corel Aftershot for photo editing, Corel Painter Essentials. In the asterisk, it says 2-year license on the Clip Studio Paint Pro. Wacom falsely advertises you will get BOTH Aftershot and Essentials. When you go to install software you will only get a 90-day trial. Customer support is programed to only tell you there is no serial key to claim your free software.

Other than the false advertising the device itself seems rather well made and came delivered without issues.

It's ok, but...
***Note: I switched to Wacom because the software I'm using is more compatible than the Huion I was using. I am a graphic designer/artist who spends up to 4 days a week for eight hours or more using my tablet.

Review: I bought this one because of the wireless ability. While I did read the reviews and was skeptical, I wanted to see for myself. I connected the first day after installing the drivers, but when I logged on to use it the next day I had to run the driver installation again. No problem since, and I've had it for about four days. The size is nice. Comparable to my other tablet I find the usable space is no smaller.
The pen is thin and light. It hurts my hand to use it for long periods of time due to the thinness. The surface of the tablet seem smooth when you look at it, but when you use the nib against it there is a resistance. I believe it is the nib, and not the surface as others have stated, as it leaves a residue on the tablet. The nib just kind of wears away.

The precision of the lines as I draw is amazing. I don't like the fact that my pressure depicts the opacity. I'm used to pressure equalling thickness of lines.
Overall I give this product three stars. There is not much about it that would make me want to purchase this again. Yes, the color is nice, but I need functionality. I don't like that I'll have to get more nibs soon since after 4 six hour days I am through the first one. I wouldn't suggest this for a professional who needs to spend a large amount of time working. For a beginner or hobbyist, it would be great.

Just as Good as Real Art Tools
I was hesitant to buy this, being as I had a Bamboo Wacom tablet and was only modestly satisfied with it. That worked fine for editing photos and scanned in art, but I found that it was awkward to use for scratch drawing or painting. I was getting maybe 75% control for scratch drawing on the tablet, making it necessary to scan a drawing in to work on it.
But with this it works just as good as if I was using a pencil, pen or paintbrush. I no longer have to scan in my drawings.
If you have an older tablet and are thinking about upgrading, get this. The small size works fine. At one time I used a large size and almost got carpal syndrome, so I would not use one that big again. As to the medium size, I never had one, but this works perfectly fine, particularly if you don't have a lot of desktop space for it.

I do not want to buy the massive pro tablet that is going to take up half of my desk just so I can have touch features bring them back on the smaller tablet please.

if you're going to include corel aftershot3 software with the tablet at least have the common sense to make it easier to use, I shouldn't have to need a serial number to use the damn software it is FREE it came with the damn tablet. all of that tech and computer coding at MIT and your software developers still don't know what the hell you're doing, make the software usable, is that too much to ask?

Great little tablet, dont get the blue tooth variant.
Super great tablet, If you need something smaller to take on the go or are looking to start somewhere I would highly recommend it. The nubs do run down a little faster than other tablets I've used in the past but its not huge deal.

The one really big sticking point for me is the poor bluetooth connectivity. I decided to spring for it and spend the extra money so I could avoid a trillion dongles sticking out of my mac book. Unfortunately the connectivity is consistently very poor and there is heavy lag between your movements and what happens on screen. I've installed the latest driver and tried it on several different computers with the same results.

TLDR; Get the tablet is great, just save your money and grab the wired version.

WACOM TABLET FAR EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
After trying two other brands of tablets, I traded up to the Cadillac of tablets; Wacom. I was already familiar with the brand having owned one in the distant past. This tablet, along with superior software did not disappoint me. The pen works without batteries which is a scientific phenomenon to me; I still don't understand how that works, but it works just fine and I enjoy not having to worry about charging both the tablet and the pen. The software was far superior to the software included with the 2 other tablets I tried; it's highly expandable to adapt to many specific software specifications.
I recommend to anyone buying their first tablet that the extra money you might have to pay for a Wacom tablet versus the competition is paid back to you exponentially in the form of superior software and tablet performance.
