This monitor has amazing picture quality. Set was simple.I have not tested the speakers so I cannot comment on them.It is great for watchingmovies also. I would definately buy this again.

This is the third monitor of this model that I have purchased. I work as a technology consultant and this is my go-to monitor when a client needs a replacement. The color contrast is great. The monitor is also VESA-mountable. The only problem I have is with the audio quality. I may be biased as my college degree is in music education; however, the audio is a bit tinny for my taste. Overall, I believe anyone would be happy with this monitor in his or her office or home.

I bought this monitor to replace a 19" Dell monitor - that was performing very well - because I wanted a bigger screen and one that was VESA mountable.I am very pleased with the quality of the picture with my new ViewSonic monitor. It is beautiful. I did hook up the built in speakers, however, the sound could not match the speakers I had, so I'm not using that feature of the monitor.

Before buying this monitor I was really worried about the 5ms delay and TN panel. And I also saw few reviews saying there is big delay from this monitor for gaming.But I decide to give it a try anyway. Now I have this monitor for 2 weeks and played few games includes Battlefield2 Bad Company, Battlefield3, Left4Dead2 and JustCause2. And I don't notice any delay at all. Might because my eye is not picking it up that well, but again I don't notice a thing.And btw, as for Battlefield3, the big delay that other reviewers mentioned might be caused by the high mouse sensitive setting which is default in my BF3 (at least for me). So take a look in there just in case you think you are seeing a big lag.

I've used ViewSonic in the past and always been satisfied with its performance, and this unit is no exception. The only drawback is the speakers. Sound is too small, good thing I use external speakers with my computer.

I bought this to go with my Mac Pro computer. I wasn't going to pay Apple® $1,000 for their monitor.I didn't have the room for the Apple® monitor anyway.This monitor has a 5 ms Response Time compared to the Apple® Thunderbolt 27" display at 12 ms.This monitor also moves up and down, swivels and tilts.It is a 1080p Full HD and the 1080 HD videos look GREAT on this display.

Who doesn't like viewsonic? I don't know anyone, and they have been around for a long time now. This monitor is the perfect 24" solution that works as both a monitor and a tv. I got two, so I could have dual 24" screens, excellent buy!

I purchased two of these for my office machine, upgrading to a dual display setup. After a few months use I can say they are pretty good and I am satisfied with their performance. They replaced an aging 1990's era Apple Studio Display. These ViewSonic's were packaged well and easy to mount to my monitor arms. The color is fantastic and backlighting is even with no banding. The bezel is thin and the embelishments are not too bad, although nothing beats the simplicity of Apple design. The viewing angle is solid, but I think the Studio Display performed better.Overall this is a good display I would purchase again. My preference would be to purchase Apple displays but shrinking budgets won't allow so these ViewSonics were a solid alternative.

pros: cheap and 1080p and include speakercons:speaker horrible, screen flicker from time to time, not led, when viewing in dark room theres white light at edgesbuy this if you as cheap like me and upgrade at some other pointif you got a bit more money get led ones dont buy this

One can read many reviews of a product and come away thinking that there really isn't anything offered by anyone that doesn't have 50/50 chance of blowing up as soon as it is plugged in. I researched the issue of which monitor for a while before making a purchase and, in the end, I had three Viewsonic monitors from which to choose. I have a bias for Viewsonic as they sold me my first large monitor over 15 years ago. I never had a problem with it in those 15 years but just wanted to take advantage of a slim monitor and save some desk space. This Viewsonic arrived quickly, very well packaged, and was a quick plug-in and view. All I really had to do was some adjustment of the brightness and color to get it where I wanted it. Text is clear and sharp even with fonts sized very small which was my main concern. I was used to a Apple 30-inch display and this is not too much of a let down with how I use it. So, yeah, 5-stars. I haven't had to color correct an image as yet, had anything printed from a graphics file I've created using this monitor and have had it only a few days so I will update this if required.

Excellent product, not problems with software installation or registration. Plugged it in, turned it on, and away I went. I can't believe anyone would give this monitor a bad review. I don't have a HDMI hookup on my CPU, but I would bet the picture is even better. Great product...

I bought this monitor last October. Now the screen is flashing like a TV, and I believe something is wrong inside. It's really harmful for my eyes, I hope someone from ViewSonic can help me, who should I contact to?

I received my monitor yesterday, and so far I am 100% satisfied. Packaging was great. Assembly was almost trivial. Physical build quality seems good (by consumer electronics standards, anyways). Image color & quality is good; matte screen has no glare. Controls are easy to use.The biggest feature: the monitor pivots 90 degrees so you can use it vertically. Vertical layout is VASTLY better for web browsing, reading documents, writing, programming - almost any task besides movie watching. And you can always flip it back to horizontal if you want to watch a movie.At 24", the monitor is pretty large. It's not heavy at all however. Initially I thought the size might bother me, since I have to look up a little to see the top of the screen. But after re-arranging my toolbars (vertical needs a totally different setup than horizontal), I am really liking the size. Looking up doesn't actually bother me at all, and the larger text size makes my eyes happy.UPDATE:As much as I generally like this monitor, I actually ended up returning it. When pivoted vertical - as I prefer always - it's only 1080 wide. That may sound adequate, and for desktop applications it is. Many websites however are apparently expecting around 1200 width at minimum. Because of that a lotta websites don't look right on this monitor in vertical position. So alas, I had to ship it back, and replace it with a 1920x1200 HP monitor. Even tho the big HP was quite a bit more money and is a good quality product, the View Sonic is better in every respect except size.

My last monitored died of old age. I wanted a bigger monitor then I had but did not want to spend 500 dollars on the new samsung product. I had this monitor for more than a year now and it has worked excellent. good picture quality, my PC is for gaming and gaming alone. World of Warcraft Call of Duty Skyrim so on and so on. you will NOT find a better monitor for this money, you will not.Sure the Samsung refresh rate/herts/color are better but are they 500 dollars better ? No says I.This is a good monitor I never used this brand but have no doubts in it so far.I love amazon and the awesome prices.

Bought this monitor solely because it was a size upgrade from a 19" LCD widescreen, mainly to watch live TV a few feet away from the computer desk on a futon in the back room (read: not for primary DVD or TV viewing). This computer is our main desktop machine, but we don't do any video editing or photo-retouching on it, just general home office work, so as long as it was a bigger screen from a known-name company for cheap, it fit the bill. The fact of it being HD spec was outside the main objective of this purchase. I'm hooked up DVI and have not used the built-in speakers - probably never will, so I can't comment on analog VGA or audio performance.If you're looking for a monitor to replace what you have, this is a great deal. The only real reservation about it is that there is quite a bit of blue-light bleed all around my monitor, but mainly along the bottom where the blue power LED is. Dunno if the blue halo around the screen is from this LED or not, as there's no way in the screen menus to turn off the LED itself without turning off the screen (which is logicial).Basically: image is sharp (people who report fuzzy fonts don't understand flatscreen monitors have a native resolution, and running the screen at anything other than it's native resolution will degrade image quality), the screen is full-width (other reviews here of Yahoo and other websites not using the whole width of the screen is down to the people who program that specific webpage - it has nothing to do with the function or resolution of the monitor), and the colors/contrast are pretty good (save the extra blue bleeding). For general purpose use, this is monitor is a bargain. If you want to watch TV or DVDs more primarily on your computer, or if you're going to be doing video or picture editing, spend the extra $40-60 and get the Viewsonic LED (not LCD) 24" version of this monitor, also sold here on Amazon or other online retailers, to avoid the blue halo Viewsonic VX2450WM-LED 24-Inch (23.6-Inch Vis) Widescreen LED Monitor with Full HD 1080p and Speakers - Black.

I bought this monitor on Cyber Monday for really cheap, and for that price I am very satisfied. I can get 1080p on it and the image is very clear. Of course you have to adjust the image to your own liking, which I did and it works perfect. It's huge, so if your looking for a big monitor this is it. The only downside is that it did not come with a DVI cable, just with VGA. Kinda disappointed about that.One major problem that I had with it was that right out of the box, i noticed it had a tilt to the right. I checked on a straight surface with a leveler and I was right. But a little work on the screws helped the problem.This is a pretty good monitor in my opinion. If you can get it under 150$ you should get it.

Great screen, nice and crisp and just generally operates great (provided you use it at its intended resolution of 1920x1040).An additional surprise, the builtin speakers are way better than I expected, probably some of the best built-ins. Not as tinny as I would have expected, judging from most such speakers.Additional inputs (such as HDMI), and a headphone pass-through jack would be nice, and obviously you're not getting a top-of-the-line monitor for this price. But it's really a very exceptional value.

I was skeptical about getting a ViewSonic monitor, being more of an off-brand company. But a friend of mine talked me into it, and it was a great decision. The picture quality is fantastic, and the screen is pretty evenly lit. The LEDS make for a very eco-friendly display. It also produces almost no heat, and has better protection against screen burn in. I plan on buying another one for a secondary display on my PC.

The View Sonic monitor works perfect with my mini-mac. I couldn't justify shelling out a $1000 for a larger monitor from the Apple store, this one is perfect and the price was great! The seller sent it quickly and it came with all the cables necessary. Computer Geeks Rock!

One thing about these reviews are that most people open the package and rate the product as the best thing ever. But 1 year down the line, will you feel the same? Just sayin, Im keepin it trill. I love it right now. Its absolutely fab. I did notice one tiny tiny flickering light. But I have OCD so I notice everything. I hope its not a tell tale of whats to come. The screen is bright and vibrant, very clear, doesn't distort the image. Its great. I had a viewsonic before and I think it lasted well for a little bit but I don't know cause my friend gave it to me and it worked with no problem until one day it just went out and never came back. I would suggest anybody looking for a product do a search for reviews from those who've used the product for longer than 6 months. The only thing I don't care for is the fact that I can't extend the height, but whatever. Not a big deal. And the controls are awful. Thankfully I just set it and keep it moving. Hope this helps!

I received the packages quickly, these monitors are amazing. By far the best I've ever had. I actually bought a $250 clearance monitor at Staples, an Acer H243H bmid 24-Inch Widescreen LCD Display (Black) for $180 and these $160 monitors are Even Better than that Acer!I bought 3 of these monitors for eye infinity and they look great, love the color, the clarity, i'm blown away.I was really really hesitant in spending nearly $500 on these monitors, I was scared about the bleeding through that other reviewers said, or them having any sort of issues, but I've been using them for a few days now and wow, they are great. If you're looking for a great monitor or set of monitors, I really don't see how you can beat these at this price. Would definitely not hesitant to buy them again.Btw to the people who tried to use the speakers, I'm not even bothering to try them, I think you should just buy the $11 speakers they offer on Amazon. I have my own and Logitech S120 2.0 Multimedia Speakers I love them. Monitors are for pictures, not sounds, buy speakers for sound.I will update if there are any problems.

This a nice looking monitor with a great looking screen. Most of the competition of this size cost much more than I paid. The only downside that I have observed is that the built in speakers are pretty worthless. We have separate speakers and I would suggest anyone interested in this monitor do the same.

This is a wonderful/affordable option for anyone turned-off by Apple's absurd pricing on their LED displays. I definitely recommend this for anyone in the market for a new LED. As others have mentioned, the speakers are no good; but I'm not deducting stars for that -- I bought a monitor not speakers!
