It has a nice black sleek look, the picture quality is great, and it doesn't weight 50lbs., like my previous monitor did. Money well spent.

For an office environment this monitor cannot be beat!GREAT price.Hugh image; staff can multi-task with several FULL size windows open at same time.TILT is NICE feature.IMAGE Quality is terrific.Speakers are adequate for office; not meant for music.

This screen is bigger than it would seem. It has eased my work situation by allowing me to have two full sized documents up simultaneously and eased my eye strain by allowing everything to be bigger and easier to see. My husband loves watching horse racing simulcast too. The picture quality is clear and the color is great.

Everything is great viewing wise. Speakers are not good quality but I expected that & didn't need them anyways. I don't care for the little box that comes up every-time the monitor comes on about the best resolution for viewing 1920 x 1080, but was able to solve this problem by the buttons on the monitor. Other than these minor idiosyncrasies it's just the right size and gives an excellent picture, a great value for the money.

Beautiful monitor. Very thin, and very sturdy. This thing is HUGE! but the profile is very thin. I am very glad I spent the extra money to get this model with this stand. The screen is not glossy so the colors do not *pop* but I prefer this style (Matte) because I don't like to see reflections.

I've been using this monitor for about a month and it has worked great. Good color and brightness.PRO: Great value for this size monitor. I would recommend this monitor for most general computing uses.CON: The built-in speakers are not very loud, or good quality. If you turned them all the way up to 100 they start to produce an annoying high pitched sound. If you set the speakers at a more modest 60 or 70, there is no high pitched sound, but the volume isn't very loud. I would not recommend this monitor if you're planning to use the built-in speakers as the primary audio output.

This monitor is perfect. End of review.Oh, I guess you may want to know why. Here goes:- the setup is simple and it starts working almost right out of the box- the display is perfect, no issues with it at all- it even has sound, which means that I can actually enjoy video now (it's not as easy with my little netbook)- the size and resolution are perfect too. it's wide enough that you don't have to scroll to the right to view most websitesAll in all, in my opinion, it was a perfect purchase. I almost bought the 20" ViewSonic but then decided to spend the extra $40 or so for a larger monitor and I am glad I did.This was a great purchase. Highly recommended!

I am using this monitor in conjunction with Acer AspireRevo AR3700-U3002 Slim and Compact Desktop - Blue.I chose this monitor because it was inexpensive, supports VESA mount, has built-in speakers, and has small footprint. Everything came together because my intention was to remove clutter from the computer desk.Picture/color quality is not in par with a 6-year old Dell monitor. I had paid ~650 for that monitor, though.Overall, I am very happy with the setup. I wish the monitor also had a (1) USB hub and (2) a few hooks on the back to hang the cables. I realize that I can't have everything.

I purchased this widescreen monitor and worked with it for over a week attempting to fix the fuzzy fonts and to get the color adjusted. I even purchased a new video card since the onboard video did not support the native resolution. Then I purchased a DVI cable, hoping that the digital interface would help - it didn't. The native resolution was too small to see, so I set it to 1440 x 900. However, the fonts were still fuzzy and the color was inconsistent, sometimes too dark, sometimes too light, depending on what I was looking at on the screen. Although other resolutions are supported, the support consisted of suggesting that I use the native resolution. I have returned the monitor and will look for a 1280 x 1024 4:3 monitor so I can see it and have flexibility to use different resolutions. If there's any manufacturers listening... please give us back the square monitors - at reasonable costs too!

Clean looking monitor, stand is stable with solid tilt feature. Image is crisp and clear. Sound is OK not great. Tried several other monitors, LG & Samsung that cost more with the same image quality and no speakers. For the money a very good monitor. Purchased 5 for our treatment rooms to display x-rays and other images. Easy to see the images even in the bright lights of a treatment room.

replaced mom's old tube monitor, and her speakers with this - cleared up a ton of desk space, wires, and clutter. she loves it. looks good. sounds ok (audiophiles will be disappointing, but pc sound effects are fine). I'd buy another.

The quality of this monitor was much lower than the description. Even at the highest brightness setting whites appearred grayish. The HP2511x I ordered to replace is very nice. Very close to the screen of my MacBook Pro, but not quite there, but very passable.

The Monitor does not run at 1920x1080.Also, the monitor is too wide, beyond theater size. So icons and video looks very distorted.Notes: Monitor does emulate 1920x1200 but it is not the native resolution. So pixels look "chunky."Also, this is NOT a LED monitor. It is fluorescent lit and the screen is very thick.I highly recommend the Viewsonic VX2450WM instead of this monitor.(VX2431WM)

I would have given this monitor 3-4 stars for value but learned it didn't come with an HD cable, just a standard monitor cable.The last monitor I purchased was a Samsung and it came with both cables. Not a big deal but most modern computer users aren't going to want the antiquated cable and will have to go purchase the proper one.

I bought this monitor to go with a gaming pc I decided to build and i have to say I am quite impressed for the price. The only BIG downside is not including a DVI cable which depending on who you get it from could add a hefty price tag to your monitor cost.Despite the dissapointment of the DVI cable omission I love the monitor's picture quality, but bear in mind that i have never tested the speakers because i have my own.

I have two of these on my desk at work - perfect!!! Image is super clear and the size is a big step up from the 19". Great for working on spreadsheets - I can see much more the spreadsheet at one time and keep the resolution small.

This monitor is quite large and is good for viewing video. The detail (resolution) is excellent as is the contrast ratio. I purchased this monitor primarily for watching films/video. The screen is so large, however, that I find myself moving my head to read writing from one side to the other. I have not utilized the built-in speakers because I choose to use good speakers with a sub-woofer. Overall, an excellent product with a good price.

This has beautiful color and resolution. Its a great size for viewing photos and videos. It is also very easy to adjust the screen height and angle. I am very pleased with this purchase.

its very hard to plug in a vga cable in the back because it is positioned in a weird way. also, i asked for a monitor for christmas so i could play my xbox on it. now i know that there is no rca (yellow, red, and white) port. i tried buying a vga to rca converter, but that did absolutely nothing. can anyone help?by the way, right now i use the monitor as a dual screen for my laptop, which i have on a mStand by rain design, so the setup is awesome.

I was looking for a new monitor to compliment my Mac Pro since I am dropping $4k+ on the Mac itself I can't afford their ONLY option of a $1k 27 inch monitor. I did some research and took a look at the reviews and decided to take a shot on this Viewsonic 24 inch with speakers. For $189 you can't beat it. It has DVI and VGA inputs w/ built in speakers and the quality is really solid. I use the DVI inputs with a DirecTV HD receiver and use the VGA with my Mac/PC. I am a little disappointed with the black levels for use as an HDTV but it's not really meant for that per se but I can't complain for the price. The speakers are pretty weak but the primary use for this monitor is for my studio DAW. It's a bonus though to be able to watch TV to take a break. ;-)Bottom line is if you are looking for a inexpensive 24 inch HD widescreen, this is for you.

This monitor is great! A 24-inch monitor for less than $170 was a rare find but the performance is a very pleasant surprise. We've used it a lot for streaming videos (Netflix) and it's performed very well. The built-in speakers aren't anything to write home about but that's what I was expecting so I wasn't disappointed in that. They were an add-on that I wasn't really interested in.It's very bright and photos and videos look great on it. No complaints.

The price is right and the images are clear, but all the text displayed is fuzzy and the aspect seems a little long for the height. *** Follow up - I tried a DVI cable instead of the standard one and Voila! all is crystal clear.

This monitor has VGA and DVI connectors not HDMI. However, it displays as all ViewSonic monitors. Outstanding. Hooked it up with the VGA cable that comes with it and played a movie. Great quality. Will get the DVI cable and see if there's a difference. Didn't hook up the speakers that are built into the monitor due to using a 2.1 sound set of speakers with sub. If you are looking for an affordable high quality monitor then look no further. This is an outstanding monitor.

I honestly expected this monitor to not be as good as it is for what I paid for it. It has good picture quality and brightness and a good finish to it. It is very steady on its base too, my old flat scree was front heavy and tipped forward easy this one doesn't

Excellent monitorI was a little worried about it being LCD versus LED however the difference is not very noticeable.There is a glow that appears around the borders when watching full screen movies however it is only noticeable on dark scenesIncludes a VGA cable and analog audio cableThe three year factory warranty is a nice perk as wellGreat product overall, I recommend it!

This monitor is well built and the color is sharp and vivid. I wish it had a HDMI connection. It has an adjustable viewing angle and I am very satisfied with this monitor.

This is my second Viewsonic. First is a several-yr-old 19" and still works flawlessly.This 24" is very clear and super easy to set up. I use DVI. Also have Samsung; this isjust as good.

I use this monitor mostly for following stocks. It's excellent for that purpose. Don't use the speakers. Have the Logitech Z-2300 speakers.

Vewsonic VA2461WM 24 inchEasy set up and a fantastic picture. Compaired to the 19" LCD monitor I have set up a second the ViewSonic stomps it tnto the ground!!! I do wish it had a HDMI in and a slightly stiffer stand. but these are small issues.I did a lot, I mean a LOT of shopping around and this is a great buy!

I was worried at first, because after a week, a single pixel became stuck (as a constant red dot), but a careful flick at it with my finger caused it to flicker briefly, and then go out. It returned one more time, so I did the same thing. It hasn't returned since, and that was about a month ago. Everything else about the monitor is as advertised. Beautiful picture. I love using the pivot, which allows me to view large vertical pictures in portrait view.

I was lucky enough to get this monitor for $169.99 (it went up to $179.99 a week after I ordered it). This is a great display and for the price I got it from, it was a steal, I have not seen any 24" below $200 before and am very happy with it.Keep in mind that I have only had it for a few hours at the time of this review and will update it if I find out anything else (good or bad).For the peace of mind, I also ordered the 3 years warranty from SquareTrade.

Nice monitor with crisp picture and easy setup. With Windows 7, you will need to update from the generic PnP monitor driver to the ViewSonic driver and then reboot in order to be able to choose the 1920x1080 resolution.I found the built-in speakers to be underpowered, no better than the speakers in my laptop. However, the biggest disappointment was that this monitor only comes with a VGA cable, even though it is DVI-capable and any modern computer sold these days is also DVI-capable. So while on the surface this appears to be a good deal, once you add in the $20-25 for a DVI cable you may think otherwise.

This is my third ViewSonic monitor, gradually moving up in size from 15" to 21" and now to 24".With a great experience with each one, I didn't even do comparison shopping this time.I had the 21" ViewSonic so long that I even replaced all the electrolytic capacitors to get it's performance up to par. I strongly recommend this product as great quality for a very reasonable price.

Monitor looks good, but it's not really 24" it's 23 and 1/2". I have a 24" inch gateway and it's a noticeable difference size wise. If I had known I would have spent a little extra for the true 24". It's kind of misleading.
