I'm very happy with the 2 monitors I purchased. Beautiful color, no screen tearing even during a lot of side-scrolling action.One area of concern - on a black / very dark background, there can be a bit of a "halo" around the outer edges of the screen. Almost like there's some back light "bleed-through". I only notice when I really look for it, but certainly there on both monitors I purchased.Also, no dead pixels. Yay!

I have had a larger screen at my office for a long time and it was becoming an issue for me when I was working at home. I needed to have something that was similar to my work environment. This monitor seemed to fit the bill. Problem is that the PC and/or the monitor seems to have issues connecting through my KVM. When directly connected to the PC there are no issues. When connected through the KVM, the PC either uses the wrong driver or the monitor reports that the PC image is 'out of range'. So beware if you are running a Windows 7 OS and using a KVM, this monitor may not be the best choice for you. I have yet to find the solution that fixes the problem permanently.

Bottom line: Amazing difference. Replacing a company-issued NEC Multisync 17" monitor for my home office. Bought the ViewSonic after having it on my wish list forever once the price came down to $159. It makes a huge difference over my old monitor; the color is sharper and the larger widescreen allows me to arrange several windows on my desktop; besides, I'm not any younger than I was and a larger monitor is just plain easier to see. Installation (through a Lenovo X200 via a docking station) was just a matter of plugging the cables in; cables come with it, but I just unplugged the cables from my old monitor and they all fit in the new one (saved having to unplug and plug from outlet and computer). They provide an installation CD but there's no point to it. Love it!

I have purchased at least 20 of these with no DOA, and no issues. with a 3yr warranty on backlight and screen, its hard to go wrong. small speakers, but to be expected.

I have had this monitor for over a year now. It works great with my Macbook and also my Mac Mini. I am very light-sensitive and glare-sensitive, and I find this monitor to be pretty easy on the eyes. I bought this monitor specifically for the adjustable stand, and I am very happy with it.

The monitor is clear, vibrant with colors, has good contrast. It is pretty good for watching HD content and movies. Price for the size is unbeatable, sufficient for most day to day purposes.

I got this shipped for free in about a week. Last night I pulled it out of the box, attached the base in 5 seconds, plugged it in and booted up. It works like a champ. Text is crisp and it is plenty bright. The speakers will allow you to hear what you need to get your job done, well, as long as you aren't making a Hi fidelity sound track. It did only come with a VGA cable which kind of stinks. Fortunately I had a DVI cable all ready from my last monitor. (An old 19 inch Dell).Also, for a 24 inch monitor it doesn't take up nearly as much space as some other 24's that I have seen and own. This is due to the small frame around the screen. So, if you are tight on space this is good for that too.

The only problem with this monitor is that it is better than the 6 others we have in the office. The colors are more vivid, the picture is clearer and we couldn't be more pleased. I thought the Samsung monitors we had were great until I saw this one side-by-side.

I've had mixed results when dealing with viewsonic monitors. But this monitor does what I need it to do.The refresh rate isn't as great as a gaming monitor and the built in speakers suck. (but who buys a monitor for the speakers?)yes it does lack a DVI cable, so remember they're only about $10 on amazon anyway.the optimal settings are 1920x1080 at 60hz which is pretty decent.the menu takes a little getting used to, but it does have a couple of features that you may find nice.1. auto contrast adjust-I actually hate this feature, so I turn it off. basically, when the screen contents are bright, the brightness is turned up, when it's dark, the brightness is lowered (kind of backwards in my opinion)2. auto off - I like this feature, it's kind of a piece of mind thing. When a power saving event occurs that has the PC turn off the monitor, it usually turns back on by means of waking the computer or moving a mouse. when the auto off feature is enabled, the screen remains powered off until you actually press the monitor's power button to turn it back on.3. auto input selection - this feature is more for laymen as I personally find it a pain. if you connect this monitor to two separate computers, you'll find that if one is restarted, the monitor auto switches to the computer still connected. This is nice for every scenario except when you're actually trying to pay attention to BIOS messages during boot up.By the way, there is one VGA input and one DVI input, the audio is a single RCA jackSo far I've purchased 4 of these monitors and they've all been working perfectly, in my experience this is kind of rare for Viewsonic, but a pleasant surprise.

The picture size, quality and sharpness on this monitor, when used at its native resolution (1920 x 1080), can't be beat. I use this monitor with 4 different computers, one of which has DVI output and the other 3 (on a KVA switch) have VGA output. The monitor accepts both types of input and senses which input to select, when only one computer is active. If both types of input are receiving signals, the controls on the monitor allow user selection of the DVI or VGA input. Although this monitor costs somewhat more than a price leader, for me it has important features besides great picture quality, like the abilities to tilt, swivel and raise and lower the screen. The monitor can also be turned 90 degrees to be in portrait mode rather than landscape mode. Your video card will need to support this feature. The built-in speakers are only adequate, but that is to be expected with such a thin profile monitor.

I bought a top of the line PC not too long ago and made the mistake of offsetting the cost of the PC by settling for an average 22" monitor. That monitor fizzed out in less than a year and was replaced with the ViewSonic VA2431WM. The difference was like going from black & white to color. I had no idea how dinghy and lifeless the picture was before until I plugged this one in. For the price the size/picture quality is an absolute bargain.

The resolution of this monitor is quite nice, however it doesn't come with speakers rather it has ports that you can plug speakers into. I would say the title with speakers are high deceptive, unless they forgot to put them in my box, which I doubt is the case.

I recently upgraded monitors, and I was in need of a large primary monitor, and a smaller secondary monitor. This had a great review and was a great price, so I chose this to be my back-up monitor. (The primary monitor I bought, which I give my highest praise as well is: ASUS VE276Q 27-Inch Wide (16:9) 2ms Response Time Display Port LCD Monitor - Black). But this monitor was VERY easy to hook up and get running. I had more trouble moving the space on my desk than getting this to work, which was plug and play. For the cost, the picture was bright and clear, and it was easy to set to my specific liking. I liked it so much that my dad asked me to get him one, and he loves his too. This is that perfect combination of cost and value. I checked the consumer reviews before I made my final decision (You should ALWAYS check the customer reviews. Like this one! LOL), and that was enough to convince me to give it a chance. And I've not regretted it at all since then. If you're looking for a monitor that is as good as the top brands, but much cheaper, then this is a GREAT product, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thanks for your time folks. Everything about this monitor is great, which is why I have bought 3 of them. There isn't a bad pixel among them, and they are fast, sharp, bright and consistent with one another (important when they are side-by-side). HD Blu-Ray images are amazing, even up close. They run cool due to LED backlighting I think, so should last longer. I am not a Gamer, but imagine they would be fine for games too. It's all good.

My 19" monitor went out so I was in the market for a new one, looking for something under $200 and I came across this. It is a fantastic upgrade in picture quality over my last monitor. I have not noticed any issues with light bleeding or anything else. It shipped to the house in 2 days (I am a Prime member). Buy this one with confidence, at this price it is a steal.

This is a 24 inch 1920 by 1080 LCD monitor, you should already know that at this point. Sound is good, but if you really care about sound you wont be using your monitor for sound quality. Image is clear, no problems with that. Just make sure you have, or buy a DVI cable and you will not have any complaints unless you go looking for them.

Hooked up to my new lap top. Incredible quality for HD video. Can not find a better monitor for the price. Have one at work too. Love the wide screen view. Like having two monitors. View sonic is a great quality product. Would purchase another if needed.

Relegating my 19-Inch ViewSonic to the old computer in the family room, I plugged this in to our main computer, pulled up iTunes, and it filled the screen from side to side. I decided then that I was not going to like this, it was too wide. BUT THEN!! I started working with multiple documents at one time and realized what a great size this is!! I did not use the speakers that are installed with it after reading reviews about how poor they sound and the fact that we have a nice sound system hooked up already. My 19-Inch ViewSonic is probably 6 - 7 years old; old enough to not remember how old it is. This 24-Inch ViewSonic is working great, and, I am hoping, is as long lasting as my old one.

I love this monitor...I have lots of "real estate" to view two whole windows without having to continously swap between windows. For example, I can have an IE window open as well as an Excel spreadsheet---and can view both at the same time without blocking either window.

Bought 4 of these, every one of them came in good condition, with no problems at all.Picture is bright, crisp, and as to be expected. I game with mine, kids watch tv on their's.everyone is happy.this is why I buy viewsonic monitors. they always deliver high quality in all the products I have bought from them.

The Viewsonic VG2436wm-LED is by and far the best monitor I have ever owned. The adjustments on the front are user friendly and easy to make. The crispness and sharpness of text and the brilliance of graphics is incredible. Even though my native input signal is NOT high-definition 1080x1920, still every screen detail is sharp and clear for both text and graphics. I love it, and declare that this display is worth every penny. If you want to watch movies, I would say this monitor would be a terrific choice. Fantastic color and clarity. It is better than my 32-inch LCD big-screen TV!The stand and the tilt screen are terrific too. Rotate 90 degrees to get landscape or portrait view. Built in speakers are OK, even if not stereophile quality. Use a headset or external speakers, if you want better audio. Ignore price considerations. Just get the best, especially based on clarity and sharpness of the screen display. I needed a new monitor for my MacBook Pro and was definitely not going to drop $1,000 for Apple's 27" display. What a rip.I was surprised to discover how little monitor support there seems to be for Apple products. Tried out a Samsung PX2370 first and was very unhappy with the way text was rendered on the screen. Called Samsung--they said they didn't support Macs. Same with HP support.The Viewsonic seemed to be the only monitor that mentioned Macs in their tech specs. The display is MUCH better at rendering text; basically the same as the Apple Display that I am replacing. I'm very happy with the quality.One small thing that I noticed with this display; it seems to take a little bit longer to wake up from sleep than a Apple display. Not sure what's up with that, but...no big deal.The speakers are lousy, but odds are you're not buying the monitor for the speakers.Make sure you use Apple's built-in Calibrate function in the Displays preferences panel. Makes a big difference.

I got the first one very quickly. The monitor was defective, had colored lines going through it, but I don't think this was amazons fault. I used their return method and it was easy and fast. They shipped out a replacement monitor that very day, and I got it as quickly as I got the first. This monitor works perfectly.

I bought this with a touch of hesitation, mainly based on the cost. And not the normal cost worries, I was worried that this one was too inexpensive to be any good. Good news! There is nothing to worry about. Affordable, and high quality monitor for less than 200 dollars. Gotta love it. I'm using it right now to type this review, with just one cord I am able to utilize my macbook in ways I never would've thought. This thing is a beauty. The colors are all there. I mainly use my computer for photo organizing/editing and this monitor is what has been missing. Highly recommended!

I upgraded from a 19" 1440x900 resolution monitor and I'm so happy I did! This monitor is really nice sized. Using Windows 7, I was able to actually look in my music folder and saw 290 items on the screen at once. It was really easy to set up and not only that, but the colors are the best I've ever seen on a monitor! You should definitely consider buying a DVI cable to hook it up with though, instead of the default VGA cable it comes with. You'll get WAY better picture quality. I love this thing so much that I'm buying the extra cables to hook my PS3 to this thing! Great value too considering the price of other monitors of this standard.PS: I have not tested the built-in audio because I already have a nice set of speakers as it is but the monitor is excellent.

Although frequently bought together item included HDMI cable, note that this monitor does not have HDMI port. So don't be misled. It is not in the product description but might be a little confusing seeing it listed together in the frequently bought area.

Clear picture, decent contrast and color balance, good price for a display this size, works as expected. It comes with a disk that presumably contains documentation and drivers; I've installed enough displays that I didn't bother with the CD. All I did was turn off the computer, unplug the 19 inch LCD for which this was a replacement, connect the existing power and video cables to the new display, and turn everything on. Of course the resolution was still set for the old display so I went into the Display Control Panel and changed it (the new display popped up a dialog box telling me what I already knew, namely that I should change the resolution to 1920 x 1080).The built in speakers were not a factor in my decision to purchase this LCD panel since I've already got powered external speakers; therefore I have not bothered to find out how the speakers built into this LCD panel sound.

Bought this monitor after returning two others due to various issues and after seeing first hand at a local store. I'm pleased with my purchase as the monitor is bright and crisp. I will say that the image is washed out ever so slightly compared to my last monitor and colors, while good, aren't as rich or as deep. I have 0 dead or stuck pixels which makes me very happy. Would recommend at this price.

Died after a month. I sent it for RMA. Two months later they sent me a old 17" LCD back instead of the 24" I sent them. I've been without this monitor for 5 months now and ViewSonic still hasn't sent me my monitor back. Spend a little more for a different brand.

This monitor was exactly what I expected it to be. I have not used the sound jack (I wear a headset with a mic). The color is good and the picture overall works perfectly well for my uses.

I now have purchased over 20 of these ranging from $129 - $169 each. They are bright crisp and work great. One had a pixel out and Viewsonic support delivered a replacement next day with prepaid return label. Best support ever!

I don't think i'll be getting monitors from anyone BUT viewsonic in the future. I've had monitors suddenly develop dead pixels or flickering or other problems after less than 18 months. viewsonic is the only major screen maker I know of that will do exchanges for 1 dead pixel (others require 3-5). This attention to quality control makes me think the rest of the monitor will last as well. In addition, price was awesome.

I wanted a bigger monitor but didn't want to give up pixels. I had a 19-inch 1280X1024, but 20-inch and 22-inch wide-screen monitors gave me less than 1024 vertical pixels. The 24-inch is 1920x1080, perfect for 1080 HD. The screen is so wide it's almost like having two screens. The image quality is outstanding, but I don't use the tinny speakers.

I received this monitor, set it up, and configured it based on the instructions.It's a really nice size, and the quality of the screen looks good, although there is some 'blurring' of smaller objects. I'm not sure if that's in an advanced setting mode, but I've changed the screen size to other options, and this has not diminished.Secondly, I concur with others that says the base is a little wobbly. A little suprising, yet I don't think it's a problem in general.Overall, I think it's a good-to-great monitor.
