Very easy to use, has a few drawbacks. Very good clarity for the price in dark room, but not very bright in a lit environment. Also no volume control on the unit itself. Only on the remote. Overall pretty good unit.

This was a gift for my father and he seems to enjoy it. The only thing that I am not crazy about is the little pixel square projections that make up the entire image but that's probably me being too picky. Will update if anything changes. Started using device January first 2013.

This projector was a great purchase! Easy to operate and clear picture with the HDMI cable. And I was very surprised that I could leave my windows open and still were able to see the screen..

I am a middle school teacher and use this daily all day long. I love that it is compact compared to the sharp that I was using. The image is clean, clear and my students noticed the difference.

I was very excited about adding this projector to my outside bar area and the first unit failed out of the box. I tried on several occasions to call Viewsonic tech support and to say the least it was below par for such a well know company. I even took the unit to a service center and they mentioned Viewsonic would have to approve the repair. This was the last straw and I called Amazon directly and they went far and above to make things right. This speaks highly of Amazon as the customer is more important then the cost of the unit itself. I had a replacement unit which worked fine out of the box.
Word of advice this is not a 3D unit on the friendly side. I would not purchase this unit for 3D applications.

Used outside for football games and movies. Works like a charm and the color quality and picture in HD is fabulous! For the price and quality for the way I want to use it on a minimal basis 5 star across the board. It can only be used in a dark setting, obviously, but as a once or twice a month portable way to watch the big games on a big screen with a sinle hdmi and power hook up, would buy this again in a second.

Great little box, does everything I need and expected, its bright - shows good enough outdoors on a cloudy day - it has digital key stone correction (not just tilting an inside mirror or something like other projectors I had, causing dis-focus on bottom or top of screen), zoom in and out, don't have to have the certain distance for certain screen size, all the in and outs I can ever use, and all that for an affordable sum - I'm happy!

I cannot say anything bad about this projector. The 3d is flawless, it has an hdmi port for all my devices, and it is cheap!!!! I seriously cannot tell the difference in quality between this one and a high end projector. The only thing I would say is if you have multiple devices also get an hdmi switch with 3d support. I frwaking love this thing.

You cannot do better than this for the money. I have a REALLY sharp, bright 55 in tv and computer monitor for under 300 dollars. One year guarantee on the bulb, 3 on the machine. DLP by Texas Instruments. You can`t beat it. NO other manufacturer even comes close. Dust free, filter free, blow it out once in a while. If you can find a better one for the money, buy it. But you won`t.

I needed a 3D ready projector but did not want to pay an arm and a leg. I was surprised at how light the unit was and still able to offer such quality beam. I mounted it with my VideoSecu bracket and it's running great. The 800x600 resolution was a compromise on the cost but I did a prez with some PPT decks and nobody complained. I would get an official mount bracket for this in retrospect because I had to do a lot of fiddling around to fit a 4 point frame into a triangular base, oh well.

Not as heavy as some I've seen ! I'm going on a year with mine. I do two 6-hour classes a month and it's still going strong with original bulb. I've yet to try the 3-D feature, but I'll edit my review once I do.

Item as described and arrived on time I read the positive reviews and now I see why the clarity and bright colors are just beautiful. Even in economy mode you can watch perfectly with a light on in the room. I am very silicified and extremely happy with my purchase and will recommend to everyone I meet. Thanks

We LOVE this product! We wanted something fun and different for our newly finished basement. Great picture on a painted wall with just primer--however we are buying a gallon of "Paint on Screen" just to make it that much better. We just bought a 3D ready Blue Ray player, and plan to get the active 3D glasses just to have on hand. Streamed movies/TV look great. We weren't sure we could do a projector when we are so used to 4 large flatscreens in the house but we are very impressed for the price. GREAT PRODUCT!

I bought this projector for work. I'm a software trainer and needed something that would project clearly and brightly for my trainees. This projector is bright and went far beyond my expectations. It's definitely worth the money.

I purchased this projector based on other reviews and because a rental would have cost me about the same, rental versus ownership was the more logical option. I used it without a projection screen on a large wall and it worked out perfectly. The HD quality is great. I am using it at home with a screen projector to watch DVDs. The focus is clear and of good quality. The only problem we have with this projector is sizing it to fit the 80' projection screen. The picture box isn't perfectly proportional. It isn't quite square or rectangle. One side is longer than the other. But, I am satisfied with the projector and hopefully will eventually figure out how best to size the picture. I do highly recommend the projector because it is reasonably priced and has a high definition picture.

I really like this projector over all for the price. But when it starts up now (8months old) it hums for about 5 mins, the cooling fan has something going on with it. I like the HD, and 3D ready possibilities.

This was a replacement for a long held projector. I really like this new one, we have it set up in the basement but even with some of the lights on the kids can watch it.

Wow, what can I say about this projector. I read the reviews before purchasing it, and it was everything others said it was. I used it to show movies outside. The picture was excellent. Used it for a small 6 ft screen and a 12 foot screen. Both pictures were incredibly clear. You can hook up the TV, DVD player, computer, flash drive, etc. It is great for presentations as well. The only drawback is the sound. The sound is not loud at all. I knew this from other reviews. I purchased a nice pair of computer speakers and it is perfect! This was by far a great purchase!

I was amazed by this projector. I couldn't believe all of the 5 star reviews on this product and was a little suspicious but bought it anyways. I had a place set up for it before it arrived and so it only took about 5 minutes to set it up with my xbox. I have it connected to my computer speakers because though it comes with integrated speaker, I wanted some better ones. Within 10 minutes of opening the box I had Battlefield 3 playing on a 128'' screen. Just FYI for my size screen I put the projector about 17' back. The first thing I noticed was the picture quality. I was very impressed by the resolution (800x600) for such a low priced projector. The fan on the projector is also not noticeably loud and i have not noticed it yet. The remote is also very handy with volume controls and different color modes (movie, eco, pc, dynamic, bright). The lamp on this projector is also very bright. I do have the windows blocked in the room but when I have then open and the lights on the image is still very visible. This projector is great for movies, games, and TV and I would highly recommend it to everyone.
