ViewSonic PJD5134 SVGA DLP Projector, 3000 Lumens,3D Blu-Ray w/HDMI, 120Hz
This is a video on ViewSonic PJ5134, Call of Duty Ghosts played on Xbox One in the middle of the afternoon.
Picture quality is good without the sun light blocked, but is great with curtains closed.

I have had the projector 1 month. I have watched 3 movies, all outdoors. I have used the side of my garage which is light grey in color with cedar shingles. Each movie was started about 30-60 minutes after dusk.
The projector is an amazing value. It projects a 12' image incredibly bright ( and could easily do more).
It is SD not HD. This doesn't matter to me. I have a 60' plasma for that. I wanted this for outdoor movies in the backyard.
Performed flawlessly each time. Everyone is amazed at how good it looks, even on my garage! Not even a proper screen ! With Composite video! Not even HDMI!
I run an old DVD player composite video cable (the yellow one) into the projector and the sound (red and white one) from the DVD player into a small PA system.
I am shocked at how good this looks and sounds. The picture is very clear and bright. It feels just like your at the dive-in.
We watched Star Trek ( the first of JJ Abraham's) and it looked great!
Overall it has made summertime movie nights a whole lot better! No more seating issues!
Stop looking at buy this!

Terrific- viewSonic always makes a great piece of hardware. Powerful clear picture- it has all the connection hook ups that you need.

Nothing more to say about a solid product like this. It's a must have for anyone who wants a home theater and doesn't want to spend a couple grand. I'm using an ironed sheet for the screen, and it's working wonders.

I'm pretty disappointed, since ViewSonic made me lose more than $85.
I bought the projector for $365.39 on November 29th and the original estimated delivery was for December 10th. I was going to travel on the 11th to give this to my father.
The projector only arrived on the 13th. With no use for it, I didn't open the package and returned it. For shipping, I paid $20. Now, the return value is $297.91.
So, in the end, they are charging me more than $60 dollars for a product that was never opened!

Excellent contrast and capacity to project in light rooms! Was a life saver to present my finishing talk and is by far the easiest projector I've ever used connected to my Mac. Just plug it and go, no need to reboot the computer or pray to God to make it work.

Purchased this for my husband for Christmas. Read all the reviews for weeks on tons of projectors and finally decided on this one. Its Fab!!! We use it at least 3 times a week to watch movies through DVD and Netflix. We have a small theater room set up on our basement and this works out perfect. Great picture quality. The price is unbeatable for the quality.

This projector provides great image projection at a very reasonable price. The only thing missing is a carrying bag. It was easy to set up and it has a very functional remote control. Highly recommended, good value for money.

I got this item delivered to New Zealand with amazon for free, even with the Customs Clearance charges, it worked out heaps cheaper than buying within country.
Took 3-4 days longer than expected to arrive, but arrived safe and sound.
The projector is everything I thought it would be, the speaker that comes with it is awful - but then what projector's speaker isn't? The image quality is great as are the controls.
I do not claim to be an expert in anything AV, but this does the trick.

I was looking to buy a projector for years, and finally decided on the View Sonic. The picture is great for watching movies and shows. I'm really happy with my purchase.

I bought it last month. It has been working as I expected so far. Sometime it was getting hot. I am worrying about the life of bulb. I guess that must be expensive.

Worked well for 2 months, the picture quality was great but the sound quality is not-so-great (worked fine with external speakers). After 2 months and a few days it started flickering making it unwatchable. The projector has been mounted in the same place for the entire time I've had it so I know there was no damage, I just assumed I got a bad one until reading another review with the same issue in he same time-frame. I contacted Amazon via chat (other/other --the return chat is not available for items over 30-days) and the chat tech kindly linked me to a prepaid return label for the item and mentioned that this return was beyond the return period but he made a 1-time exception for me on this. So maybe it's just 1/100 that are defective but I'm thinking that I'll go with another model/brand for the replacement

We have been using this Projector for past 3 months now, so far so good, love the picture quality and features. The only complain I have is the noise, it makes annoying noise which irritates me especially when we are not watching movies. While watching movies/roku noise is not noticeable since we use external speakers. But overall its a nice product.

I'm so happy with this purchase! The reason I wanted a projector was to have a place I could watch TV or movies without waiting for some sport events or kids programs to be over....I was tired to wait for my turn!!
Since I have my own office/room in the house, instead of buying another tv and pay for an extra cable box, I bought this projector which, once connected to my computer, let me watch anything on Direct TV, live or recorded AND all the movies I want from my Amazon Prime membership! The picture is HD and looks great! Best idea ever!!

I was extremely disappointed to find that my projector stopped working after 80 days of having it. My roommate and I barely ever use the projector (probably twice a week for 2 hours at a time), and now that it does not work, I feel that I wasted $330.00. We did not bump it around and we did not have it in any abnormal conditions. We simply left it on a table in our living room and turned it on today to find that it would not work. I would not recommend this projector to anyone.

We have had the ViewSonic PJD5134 DLP Projector for a few months now & we LOVE it.
I'm sure that you can get a few more bells and whistles for a lot more money and I'm sure someone more technically savy could tell you about all the lumens, contrast ratio, etc., but this projector works wonderfully for what we wanted & for under $350. We hang a screen near our patio, plug our blue ray CD player and Bose Speakers into the ViewSonic, set up the popcorn machine and the whole neighborhood comes over for movie night. When we use it outdoors, the picture is obviously better as it gets darker. However, we are able to view movies at dusk. I've also used this to project movies onto walls in our home and in our garade during the day & night. The picture is still awesome.
I have not used the 3D capability, so I cannot comment on that.
My only gripe, and it may just be my lack of understanding on how to adjust the picture, but I cannot seem to make the picture a perfect rectangle. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the keystone adjustment or what, but it is not so noticeable that it detracts from our satisfaction with the picture.

Not enough light for day time operation. Works we'll at night. I hope the bulb lasts a long time for the price we paid.
