Used on upholstery only and my suite now looks like brand new. I would've given this five stars but my only niggle is I had to refill on several occasions but this is a minor point given the final results when cleaning both a two and three seater sofa (body only - cushions went in the washing machine) so buy plenty of cleaning fluid. The equipment is well made to a very high standard and great value for money. Watch your fingers though when clipping the top to the base - you can pinch your fingers if you position them wrongly but I soon learned not to do it twice! The item is well packaged and was received promptly. Added bonus is it's a vacuum cleaner as well. Really pleased with this cleaner and can recommend.

I bought one of these from Amazon primarily because our Jack Russell Terrier is getting on and 'accidents' could be expected in the near future. These have not yet occurred but a short while ago I was decorating our home and sent the roller tray with emulsion paint flying leaving two dinner-plate sized pools of 'Magnolia' plus sundry other blobs on the carpet. We scraped up what we could and I then attacked what was left (and soaked in) with the Vax and not much hope of any real success. I couldn't believe the outcome, what a revelation, it did a wonderful job of removing what was left to the degree that I now can't find exactly where the spills were. This machine would be a bargain at twice the price !.

Just used for the first time to wet clean the carpets and am very disappointed. Whilst some of the stains were removed, the overall effect is not really noticeable, apart from some areas which are worse than before I started. The stairs in particular were difficult and now look positively worse, as though they have been shampooed with dirty water. Perhaps they have?

Excellent product this. I had the same model for ten years with no need for repairs or service so decided to order it again as it is such good value - a washer and vacuum in one which works well in both functions.
Delivery was within 2 days and no problems at all with payment or quality of machine.

I've now had this vax since late Jan and about 3 weeks ago a wheel fell off by the vacuum head. I contacted vax and they haven't bothered to respond. Now the other wheel has fallen off. This means the vacuum head is scraping back and forth on the floor rather than moving over it.

Had one of these before. Moved to a Dyson but found that rather heavy and not good on floors, so have returned to the Vax as it is a good hoover and the washing ability is very efficient and a real bonus.
I'd recommend it to anyone.

This has just arrived. It was easy to assemble, even for me who runs a mile at the sight of any assembly manual. It is a brilliant Vacuum my carpets already look cleaner and better. I cant wait to wash the carpets. The suction was amazing, especially when using the smaller tools on the carpets. The amount of dust that has come up is unbelievable. So far so good.

Super powerful and much better than my current Henry vacuum which is worth more.
Have only dry hoovered so far but am impressed. Will update my review when have done a carpet clean.
Good sturdy design. Its a hoover so makes some noise but all within acceptable parameters. Easy to move the vacuum head as it rolls.
Wife is well happy with the results so far after I gave the house a good hoover. Recommended at this brill price and with a 2 year warranty.

Had one of these years ago and this is more fiddly to change between wet and dry use. Seemed to do a good job.Easy to store as not as bulky as thought it would be

I bought this to replace my last workshop wet and dry vacuum. It is powerful and does what I want. The only problem now is that my wife keeps pinching it to clean the carpets!! It does a brilliant job on this too.

Its better than I thought it would be. Washes Carpet perfectly.. suction is good. I decided to give away my Dyson DC19 for this. 100% recommend it.

Not as easy as all that to use, I found it hard work and only used it in a small area. (I bought it to use in a caravan). Although it did refresh the carpet, no doubt about it, you can see the dirt in the water, it did not deal with more heavily marked areas, even using an extra stain treatment. The marks were not that bad and did reduce, but were not eliminated. Don't expect rug doctor performance, you get what you pay for.

I previously had an older version of this Vax. And once again I have not been disappointed, having four dogs, I need to wash carpets fairly often that this works brilliantly. Also I now have all the attachments which I had lost over time with the last one and I'm able to wash smaller rugs and upholstery.

Bought this primarily to tackle pet hairs which it does pretty effectively and easily. The vacuum function is straightforward to use (haven't tried the wash mode as yet), and the only thing that lets it down a little is not having anywhere actually on the machine to store the cleaning tools which means you have to carry them around with you if want to use the upholstery or duster brush etc.

A bit of a fiddly annoyance if you keep changing from on to the other, but for wet vacuuming this is way better than. Upright versions. Heavy when full, but amazing suction for spills including red wine from fabric!

The hoover part is great, really light to carry, although the it gets a bit stuck while hoover carpet (the carpet felt on the sucker part gets stuck). I have yet to wash the carpet yet and there are a lot of tools and bits and bobs that come with it.. So you need a good storage place for it but all in all it is pretty great..

This was a really good price - (you'd pay this much for many noddy domestic vacs). It arrived on time and does the job, coping with the paster and sawdust we've chucked at it so far. Perhaps not quite as much suck as a Henry, but looks better and has the cleaning option.

The machine works very well and the carpet sweeper is very good for picking up cat hairs (it's the moulting season)
My only criticism is that you need the instruction book for nearly every combination of actions required and I find that the instruction book could be a little clearer.
