i spent 3 hours trying to get this to work, no luck, just could not get the software to install on my win 7 and was unable to get the AP working, total waste of time!!!

It took 5 minutes to install. The device has awesome distance. As for the looks!!!! It's great... I got it for the office, and now I want one for home...

Great AP with great range, if you can get it set up. The instructions are horrible and the user-interface even worse.it's too bad, because it is a great looking AP with good performance. Too bad it is such a pain in the a** to set up.

I got this router after a friend recommended it and the glowing reviews on amazon. that was over 2 weeks ago and still have not gotten it to work!1- support? no support. the number in the box is unattended and the help you get via email gets to you only 48hrs after sending email to them and usually with unhelpful tips - like "free up your 8080 port" or "install mongodb to reset your password". I feel like I need to hire a sys ops just to install it.2- the installation process itself is cryptic and badly documentedso perhaps if you do sys ops for a living and have can SSH using putty to your router to read the firmware, you are in good shape. otherwise, stay away, far away from this heap of electronics.

Easy to use with lots of features. Brand isn't well known, but it sure works better than anything you find in your local stores. I would highly recommend this over D-link, Netgear, Linksys (Cisco), etc.

I have rolled these out across our corporate network and they are working well. I have them in office, retail and industrial environments without any issues. The control center software which is included for free has enterprise functionality without the costs normally associated with that.

This is an awesome long range router. I am using it like a n/w extender wireless endpoint and it works like a charm.The software seem to gave me some error, but being a java developer I could figure out that it was caused due to conflicting Java runtime on my machine.Apart from that, the software was easy to use :)

The set up of the wifi antenna was easy, but after it was on line for about one hour it died! after going through the setup again it worked well for about two days. It kept telling me it was unplugged. but it would not reset any more. sent back to manufacturer, had to paid return postage too!i would not recommend this product or seller!

Using this product in a home environment. It allows me to keep the main router in on location, while connecting the wireless near a central switch. Have a wired gigabit network for most stationary products. Range is good, but I probably should have purchased the higher wattage one, so that I could cover more acreage. Covers the main house fine, but can't reach the pool.

Great hardware, week controller software if you need to setup multi networks on your laptop/PC (Single Unifi controller software for multi customers setup) NOT POSSIBLE. I have installed VM Ware player and installed multi OSs and each OS controls different networks, this is a sad way of managing multi Ubiquiti Unifi network. NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED!!!!

Followed instructions and even downloaded and installed latest software, but never could "locate devices". I use ATT Uverse and had it connected as instructed.

Bought one each for upstairs and downstairs. Installed the mgmt software, plugged the units in, set up the SSID info, adopted each unit, and good to go. Very good range too, compared to the previous linksys units.

So i'm an IT guy and I install stuff like this for a living. I needed something that I could use at my house without having to mess around with it all the time.So far this thing has been running 24/7 for months without needing any reboots.Every device I throw at it just connects, no more goofing around with settings to get something connected.It looks nice, finally something that blends into the wall that isn't a $600 Cisco device.I won't hesitate to install or recommend this AP for future customers.

So I have been using Cisco APs for a few years now. After only a few hours of using this product I think I'll start recommending this product to all my clients. The setup is so simple, I love the web interface. Their software makes it easy to manage one or many of these APs. You can change IPs and setting and don't have to worry about losing the management console. This thing has an awesome built in guest mode. Basically you have a separate guest SSID and it gets the same IP addresses, but it blocks all traffic on that network. So you don't have to have the hassle of a separate network and the guest users can't access any devices in that network.. It's an amazing concept, I love it.

This access point is amazing. I get a very strong signal in places where I barely got coverage with an older G consumer access point. Also, the guest network feature is very interesting... it can use the same subnet (and thus, uplink without vlans) as the primary wireless network, but firewalls off the guests from contacting the restricted subnets.I'm only using one of them (for home), so it's not really an issue for me, but there only seems to be a way to set a RADIUS shared secret for the entire set of UAPs you're using, not individual APs (as you would want for NAP on Windows). Also, I haven't found a way to upload a custom SSL certificate using Windows, although there is a way if your controller is running on Linux.

took longer to un-box and mount than to setup. I didn't install the version on the disk. I downloaded the newest release. I have two to cover my house but I think I could have got away with 1. The coverage is great as well as performance.

The UniFi is a fantastic AP. It has amazing range, allowing me to cover all of our house. It is easy to setup for the first AP and even easier to setup future devices. I will be adding more of these to allow outside wireless access in the near future!

Wow, just wow. I have tried several wireless routers and APs over the years, and this one beats them all (on a consumer level). Very easy to install and monitor network traffic. This thing eliminated all my dead zones in the house and my speeds have more than doubled. I currently get 30.80 Mbp/s over my wireless at the farthest end of my house, which happens to be a sound proofed room. So far, I have no complaints and I highly recommend this WAP. If you have the cash, go for it. I have tried lower end devices for around $30-$50, and they just don't compare.
