What can I say, these are great inexpensive 5 port gig switches. I purchased two and both work great. Only gripe is that the LED doesnt change color based on link speed. (IE green for 100MB and Orange for 1Gig)

I used this to upgrade my network to Gigabit. Everything runs so much faster now. File transfers are a breeze. The picture makes the housing look white on top, which it is not. The housing is all black.

This switch is a winner, I currently have 5 of these beasts installed on small-medium networks, some are 6-12 months old and the performance is just GREAT, It's like installing a Linux server, set it and forget it, it will not let you down.

This is a great product from TP-Link. I've used many of their products in the past and they never disappoint. I ran this switch at a LAN party with game servers and a firewall plugged into it. We ran over a Terabyte of traffic through it over the course of 2 days and didn't have a single issue. We stressed it with large file transfers with no issues. For a gigabit switch at this price-point, you can't go wrong with this product!Great job TP-Link! I can't wait to use more of your products in the future.

I ordered this for our small office network when our older d-link 10/100 just died. I had been looking for an excuse to upgrade to gigabit and couldn't beat the price. Arrived the next day with standard shippIng. Just plug in and go. Small footprint and no noise complaints. Been working fine for the last few weeks. I would purchase again.

Not much to report. I needed a gigabit speed 5 port switch and this was perfect. Installed in seconds and had no problems. Build quality is the same as D-link and other brands I am more familiar with. Lights, ports, everything works as expected. Didn't test speed but saw no slow downs in heavy use (even video). Comes with AC adapter but no other cords. Is small and fits neatly on desk. Looks good as well.

I ordered this switch because it's gigabit and I have 3 internet connected devices in my home theater room with only one wall connection. I thought this was a great deal since it is gigabit and I have a gigabit router on the other end. However, when I took it out of the packaging I immediately noticed how cheap and flimsey looking it is and once hooked up I would get lower quality than normal when streaming Netflix on my Xbox. It sometimes completely drops connections. If I bypass the switch and hook it directly into the wall I have no problems. This thing sucks. Perhaps it would work fine for very light duty applications.I ordered a 8 port gigabit TRENDnet TEG-S80G on sale for $30 and it works great as a replacement for this piece of junk. It's made of metal and feels much more heavy and well made as well.

I have purchased two of these from Amazon. Both are performing very well. I have one on my home network and one on my desk at work. I am an IT professional so I typically have multiple machines setup at my desk that need to access the network. This little switch works well and stays cool. The other big name switches are ten or twenty bucks more and do the same thing. Why pay more?

This works flawlessly. I added it to my network, connected the devices, and was up and running in 5 minutes. There was no need to configure a thing, as it's just a switch - which is eactly what my network needed. It's been up and running for a month or two, and I can't complain one bit.

I have 3 of these now and use them where I don't have enough ethernet ports (eg around the back of the TV). I've plugged my TV and 2 different cable boxes into this and from this into the wall outlet. I've even used one to 'extend' a port that was on the wrong side of the room and where I also wanted to add an ethernet cable for my laptop - rather than having to deal with wireless signal issues.It has never had an issue passing a signal. Speeds are not affected (although they don't seems any faster either) and the lights on the front tell you what's runnning and what isn't. It's small enough that it isn't really visible (apart from the lights) and hides easily enough on the tv stand.All in all a good little switch.

I purchased this 24 port switch about 2 months ago and it has performed like a champ. Teamed with an Asus RT-N56U router and a Motorola SB6121 cable modem and I am seeing 140Mb internet speeds down and 6Mb speed up; file transfers are very fast. File transfers measured with FileCopy on a 11GB folder took 3 minutes 24 seconds at 53.89 MB/sec. push throughput. Same file pulling throughput took 3 minutes 43 seconds at 49.44 MB/Sec. All 24 ports are gigabit and the switch has an internal fan. Will pick up another one soon and I highly recommend this switch. High quality at an affordable price.

Gigabit is nice and does seem much faster than the slower routers (OK switches, but you know what I mean). I am glad I bought it. It also has little lights on the front and some of them flash. I like that! It makes me happy.

At my configuration I needed to add more gigabit ports, and this uni sounded like a good alternative at a decent price princely had cisco router that was extremely nois so I decided to change to this unit . I must set that this unit i very very quiet in fact no noise at all. The unit work as presente, it fits correctly in the rackc so no problems at all. I recommend this produc for anyone who is in the market fo switch for gigabit to board solution that can be mounted

I wanted a (5) Port Unmanaged Gigabit switch to help clean up our existing network infrastructure at home. This little guy did the trick for not a lot of cash. It does everything it should and has a neat feature that powers down unused ports which makes it a little more green than a normal switch.

I am not a big operation office IT person or anything like that. I needed an unmanaged switch for my home network and this was just the right choice. No setup needed. Just plug and play. I've had this installed for a few months now and it works like its spouse too. Hooray for TP-Link stuff. Been switching ALL my stuff and it works stupendously.

Not much to say about a switch -- it either works or it doesn't.This one works, and costs less than most.It is currently handling some routine switching tasks in my home network, if you include driving a 300' run to a 100BaseT switch in another building as "routine".I have two of these driving a 300' or longer run between buildings, and they appear to be working without flaw.

I had been looking at some 24 port switches for a few weeks for a small game server farm, and ended up purchasing another TP-Link switch for a friend. I was definitely impressed with the quality of it for the price, so decided to give this switch a try. Although I haven't run it with a huge load yet, I have not had a single problem with it. As long as none of my future purchases have any major problems, I will definitely continue buying TP-Link switches.Also, my users average pings went down by ~20 ms after I replaced the Netgear 8 port switch with this, but I think that Netgear switch might just be defective. Still need to run some more tests on it.

Prime delivered fast. Opened the box, plugged in power and a Ethernet cable to my Verizon router. Added cable from switch and PC and it connected automatically. I am using Ubuntu 11.10 on an HP XW8000 workstation. I now have 4 more available wired ports. Great product and price.
