Ever since I saw this bundle announced at E3, I knew I had to buy it, finally October 30th came around and I received it in the mail just 1 day later.The Bundle: It comes with a USB cable which doubles as a PC connector and a charger (when you connect the USB to the other piece that plugs into the wall), AC Liberation, 4gb memory card, AR cards, and all your usual manuals.The Looks: What else can I say, the vita is beautiful, it really stands out when compared to the black Vita, which is not bad looking itself, but this one just blows it away in my opinion. It really helps against finger prints as well, they are very hard to spot on the system so as long as you don't touch it with dirty hands or anything, it will look nice and clean most of the time, of course I recommend wiping it down with a microfiber cloth every now and then just to keep it looking pristine. The details are beautiful, the little playstation symbols on the back touch pad are a very cool touch and the dark gray metallic streak it has going around the outside of the system adds to the overall great look of the Vita. I also have a special edition Big Boss Camo psp, which I love how it looks, but when I put them side by side, honestly this White Vita put it to shame, haha.Features: I've spend the 2 days I've had this Vita mostly exploring the features and different options it has, it has some great apps like Netflix, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Skype, Paint Park and Treasure park to name a couple.So it has quite a few multimedia options, you can also add your own pictures, music and videos off of your computer or if you buy them from PSN if you choose. The screen is very vibrant and looks great, you can play HD videos and pictures on it, when comparing it to the 3DS, the screen quality is leaps better. It also has a from and rear camera which you can use to record videos and take pictures as well as play some AR games like with the 3DS. It also has Sixaxis motion control like the ps3 controller.I haven't explored all the features yet, but so far its really cool and you can do many different things with it, I'm gonna connect it to my ps3 and see what I can do with both of them linked together.AC Liberation: Like I said I spent the last 2 days mainly checking out the features so I've only gotten about an hour of gameplay in on Liberation, so far I must say its definitely a portable AC game, it has all you would expect from an AC game, the stealth kills, the climbing, the combat...etc. One thing I noticed though is that it suffers from framerate dips at some points which can get really jarring at times. The game's graphics are pretty impressive, nothing revolutionary or anything, but then again the system is still young and we usually don't see developers push the hardware to its limits until later in the console's life, take God of War Ghost of Sparta for example, great looking game and it was on the psp!Final thoughts: I am extremely happy with this bundle and think it was worth every penny spent, you get a free game and a free memory card as well as an exclusive beautiful color for the same price as a regular black Vita. My biggest gripe with this is that AC Liberation didn't come with its case, it just came in a plastic holder along with the memory card. I have no idea why sony has been doing this with their bundles, I also bought the Metal Gear Solid Big Boss psp bundle back when Peace Walker came out and that one didn't come with the game case either, just the disc in a little cardboard sleeve. Case is just a minor gripe though, my other one is the memory card size, 4gb is fine for your basic saving and apps and a demo download here and there, but if you want to buy some digital games, 4 gb will not be enough for long, I downloaded a few demos off PSN when I was playing with it and I just about filled up my memory card, I can't even download Resistance demo because that alone takes over 3gb! I'd have to delete all my other demos first. Definitely need to upgrade if you're planning on storing digital games in there, which I am. I hate how Sony chose the expensive route of having you buy their own brand of memory cards as opposed to the 3DS (which I also love) which uses your good old SD cards.This Review is getting pretty long so let me wrap this up, all in all this is a great bundle, you save a good amount of money since it comes with a free game and memory card and the system looks beautiful, I'd say if you're interested even remotely in the Vita, get this bundle NOW!Update:It has now been almost a month since I bought the system, the Vita has gotten even sweeter, some new apps have been added, you now have an email app where you link an email account and check your email on the Vita, I don't know if you can link more than one account though. I really enjoy this device! The only reason why I bought this is because I didn't want to keep hogging the main t.v. downstairs in the living room, which is where I play my ps4 games. This device allows me to enjoy my ps4 games anywhere in the house, and allows my wife and daughters to enjoy their cooking and reality shows in the living room together. I am very impressed by the speed and connection/responsiveness of the controls while using the remote play feature. I thought that I would be confined to playing my vita downstairs near my ps4 and wireless router, but nope; this thing is true everywhere in my home. I even turned my cell phone into a WiFi hot spot and used that from which to connect my vita with the ps4, and it worked very well. So, I was able to go outside and still use my vita in connection with my ps4. Seems like there was some lag initially, but after a few minutes, it worked flawlessly. I still would like to take this thing a few miles from my house to test it out. I would like to give it 5 stars, but I am a little irritated that Sony did not make it so that the ps4 dual shock controller would work with the vita. My hands are fairly large and it took some time to acclimate myself to the small controls and touch screen in the back of the unit, which also serves as a substitute for the R2 and L2 buttons on the ps4 controller. I did figure out how to 'hack' the system and make the dual shock controller work with the vita, but it only works well if I'm using it in the same room as my ps4, since the controller is actually still in connection with the ps4, and not the PS vita.

This is a refurbished unit, but it looks brand new. I am totally satisfied with how this thing looks. There are no bad pixels, and the on-screen video looks great. There were no scratches on the unit.

I have 2 other gripes, but they are not that major: The sound from the speakers could be louder, but not a big deal, as the sound is great when I use the PS vita with my headphones. Second, the screen looks good and it is bright to my satisfaction only when I put the brightness at its highest level. Its bright, but I like really really bright, like some of your popular cell phone displays. But, the screen is still bright enough for me to enjoy.

I saved quite a bit of money in this refurbished unit, and I am certain that there is no difference between this unit and a brand new unit....except for the huge price difference.

I thoroughly am enjoying this device, and I would definitely recommend it to you and anyone else that considers themselves to be a gamer.

There are a lot of things I can say about this system even after a few days of using it. This is a long review, and it covers a lot on the vita. Ask my any questions about they system, and I'll do my best to answer, I have comment notifications so I will get your comments, if you have any!I'll start off with the madden game.This game is awesome, I love playing it, but I had to get used to it at first. After I got the hang of it, I was scoring touchdowns, and making awesome plays. One thing I would have loved to see was custom routes. It would have been sweet to be able to touch a player change his route, and drag on the screen where you want him to go. As some seasoned madden players know, they have Madden Moments mode where you can replay games from the past. BUT I don't like it in this game. If you want to play it and have it count you have to be signed in to the EA network. And if you get disconnected nothing you do counts. I had to replay a game 3 times because I got disconnected from the server. Overall I think its an awesome game, if it weren't the requirement to be online in some modes, this would be an even better game.I did get MLB, but I'm not a baseball kind of guy, I love watching, but I'm not into the games. So I went to gamestop and sold it to get mortal Kombat. (Which is AMAZING if you like fighting games) *Note* if you decide to sell your MLB Game to gamestop you NEED to have a receipt if its still in the plastic. Apparently its a rule that they cant take games back if its still in plastic. I pulled up my online order from my phone. So either take it out the plastic, or show a receipt. They cut it out of the plastic to show it was used anyways.Now on to they system itself:The Good:The UI (User interface) Is cool, I like how they made everything big, and easy to see. I had a psp, and I liked that as well, I wish they would have kept the same scheme though, especially since you can use this with the ps3.I don't know if this works EVERY time, but I was playing madden, and my vita ran out of battery life and turned off. I got up in the morning and hooked it up, and the game I was playing was still on. I don't know if it just went into a sleep mode, or has a save state mode but I thought that was awesome.I love the screen! The size, the colors, the touch (lol). I just love everything about it, It's sleek and just looks really nice. I also like that it has the back touch panel, I found it hard to play some games though. Like with Fifa 13, the back touchpad was basically the goal and anywhere you touched that's where you would shoot. Well while you are playing and running down the field, you quickly have to remember to take your hands off the back touch pad or your guy will just shoot wherever your hands were. There is an option to turn it off which is nice.Dual analog sticks are awesome, one thing I like about gaming is dual analog sticks, and one thing I hated about the psp was that it didn't. Also the fact that the stick on the psp was horrible. The Vita's sticks are comfortable, and they feel sturdy. I don't really like the triggers, I kinda wish they went down a little more, but for the most part they are okay. The buttons, and the D-pad are nice, I don't have any issues with them. The start and select buttons also cool, they are flush with the system, which some people might like, I with they came out a little though. While doing this review I was just pressing buttons and found out that if you press the vita home button, and the start button, you can take a screenshot! I always like systems, and phones that can take screenshots. If you hold down the home button and select it will bring up a menu that lets you control sound, brightness, and has a music controls as well. It also has 2 microphone options. I didn't know if the vita had a microphone, and if it does I don't know where it is. Maybe under one of the speaker holes? Anyways I'm pretty sure you can take video with this so, having a microphone is always a plus.I haven't been able to go outside and use the camera, but inside isn't bad. I recommend using in light, because if you use it in the dark you get crappy photos. Both cameras are nice though, I like having dual cameras. There is also a dew different games that you can use with the camera right out of the box. You have to go download them, but you use the AR cards that are included with your system if you want to play those games.I'm not a fan of the speakers, they aren't very loud, but maybe its dependent on the game, and what the developers did with the sound. I was playing Mortal Kombat, and it was really quiet, but I played madden, and it had nice sound. The system has a 3.5mm jack so you can always use headphones.The BAD:I felt overall sony went cheap on this system. It's nicely built, but there's no FIRE to it. With the psp you got a small memory card, I don't remember what the size was, but it allowed you to update your system, and have a few game saves. You also got headphon

Okay. First of all. The Vita is as amazing as people say it is. I have been an Nintendo fan for a looong time. I've always appreciated xbox and playstation consoles and games, but mostly because of money constraints, I kept up with Nintendo's products. Black Friday came around and this sweet deal came down to 180$. NO. REGRETS. Even for 250$, This is probably a great buy. I say 'probably' not to reflect to quality of the product, but to reflect how you look at your wallet.Getting to the details,I'll start with AC3: Liberation.I've never played assassin's creed before. So this game was a new experience. For those of you who HAVEN'T played Assassin's Creed before, it's a good series. The 'parkor', if you will, is pretty cool in of itself. You can run around and virtually climb ANYTHING. And the climbing is realistic, there is no: I'll climb this wall, and my character will do a general Climbing action. Every step and grab on a structure lines up with a crack or prop. The fighting is pretty cool too. It took me a little while to get used to counters and I admit I'm still not the best hand to hand fighter, I rely on long range weapons more than 50% of the time. The story is pretty good and the missions have variety with the different conditions (use sword, don't get detected, take no damage {that one really gets me...}) And if you don't like blood, I'm 99% certain you can turn off blood under the main menu options.For those of you who HAVE played other Assassin's Creed be mindful of a few things.(I've watched a friend play through AC1 and some of 2)First, as far as I can tell, there is no Desmond storyline. Aveline's story is cool in of itself, but if you are looking for out-of-animus scenes, you'll be disappointed. There is no trace that you are a past life or anything like that. I've beaten the game with the fake ending, so unless the real ending has a considerable amount of story change, this game is simply a spinoff.However. It's worth it. Amazing gameplay. The friend that I watched play the other games in the series commented that Aveline moves noticeably faster, which I agree with. In general, other than the lacking of Desmond, it's a step forward I believe.Getting to the VITA itself:This system is the most beautiful, classy, professional, and overall best video game system I've ever owned. (The white version is crazy pretty.)I've loved the Nintendo systems I've owned, but they are lacking in good games now-a-days and it seems I'm moving on. There aren't so many Vita games out yet. But I own AS3: Liberation, BlazBlue Extend, and Gravity Rush and am eyeing the new Need for Speed game.I've made this review long enough, but I'll stress a few things. This system is sleek and professional. It's like the handheld-video-gameversion of a nice car such as a BMW or an Audi. The resolution is just UN-BE-LIVEABLE. It's like an HD TV in your hand. (I don't know if it's considered 'HD', but the OLED screen perhaps the best feature, as good as everything else is.)controls are build well. I mean... DUAL ANALOG STICKS. Need I say more? yes? Well they are put to good use. The left stick isn't just a replacement for the control pad, it has different uses depending on the game; very much like a PS3.I'm not sure how I can say more about how simply awesome the system is...Important note: MEMORY CARDSThis is a small bit of advice that ANYONE and EVERYONE who wants to buy a Vita needs to know in that back of their head.The only memory cards for the Vita are the ones available from Sony. No other 3rd party brands. And they are quite pricey.BUT, unlike so many reviews and descriptions of the memory cards say YOU ARE FINE WITH ONE CARD. That is: if you buy the physical game cards; the amount of save file taken up is very very small. If you download full games however, go out and buy the 16 or 32 GB card.There is also the PS store with PSP and PSone downloads. Which are very tempting. (I will be buying some of these soon...)My advice:Buy a bundle such as this that come with a 4GB Memory card. (make sure it does in fact, I've heard rumors that some bundles have had memory cards secretly removed.) And buy physical games. Then perhaps buy another card for downloads. (depending on how many you are planning on getting.)Downloading games are just cheaper than buying the physical game, but you'll be spending that money on a memory card. It's a matter of preference I suppose.You could also get a normal Vita with a 8GB card but you will mostly certainly need another if you download a lot.FINAL WORDS: GET A VITA!!!

I was extremely hesitant to purchase a refurbished unit, recertified or not I do not trust any item that has formerly been used because it could've had any kind of damage before getting into my hands. and that includes falls and drops into water which can have a negative effect that doesn't fully show until the unit has been used for some time.

Now having had the unit in my hands I can see both why I was right and why I could've misjudged the "Recertified" part at least.

The unit is not almost a bit farther away from "Near" perfect. there are plenty of scratches visible to the naked eye under regular lighting. mostly on the rear part but there are visible tiny "Scratches" that are very annoying when you notice them on screen. the color of the screen where the very small scratches are is distorted when you focus your eyes on them.

While near a light source the back really shows a hefty amount of scratches that are not "Touchable" (As in they're not even slightly deep) but they are sadly very visible. (Again, only while near a light source)

I'm not sure if this is the condition of the unit itself or probably just replaced by the factory but both the silver surrounding the device and the handles on the back seem to be brand new and were not the parts of the original refurbished Vita itself.

The box the unit came in was in good shape, and the contents are:

1. The Vita itself, well cleaned and in a thick plastic container.
2. A USB Cable
3. A charging brick
4. An AC Cable for the charging brick (The entire charging kit I believe is brand new and is not refurbished)
5. Starting guide

Surprisingly, there were no cards for Augmented reality included in the box. although not really useful to me, it is a necessary part of the full Vita experience for anyone who wants to try it.

Overall, I am satisfied with the Vita I got, and I can't complain about any crucial problems or any other problem that changes the experience as a whole at all. It's in good condition.

I'd appreciate more attention to the apparent scratches though. For a recertified unit I expected just a little better.

The Vita is a fantastic portable gaming system.I highly recommend this system for any gamer-on-the-go. It's also the perfect gift for one, they'll really love you. I purchased one for my fiance, who isn't even a "hardcore" gamer type but loves casual games like Mutant Blobs and Lumines.Hardware---------------------The Vita is a little thick, but not too thick to carry around with you. It's a little heavy too, but not too heavy to carry as well. The weight and thickness can be described as solid and it's really comfortable to play games on for extended periods. The screen and buttons have an acrylic layer that is smooth to the touch and surprisingly doesn't attract too many finger prints.The OLED screen is absolutely fantastic. It's really a superb display. You can see all the vivid colors and extremely deep blacks on this screen. I've never seen a display that has a higher quality black levels on such a portable device. What this means is things like shadows and dark scenes come out looking really great, in games and movies. Also, the screen is pretty bright. Works fantastic outdoors. I wish OLED can be found in more devices after playing the Vita.The buttons are basically the PSP but with dual, real analog sticks. Finally. These sticks may seem small, but even for someone with large fingers I find them really easy to use and comfortable. The shoulder buttons sadly are a bit odd to use due to the shape of the device, and the back-of-the-screen touchpad is not incredibly helpful and easy to use in other games. You never quite know where your fingers are when you use the touchpad, making it a little hard to use. Games such as the upcoming 'Tearaway' should be the final judgement on whether the touchpad is actually fun to use.The sound on the Vita is actually quite loud and lovely as well. The tiny little speakers pack a bit of a punch. There isn't much else to say here.Battery--------------Battery life is surprisingly decent. It competes, and out performs, the 3DS even playing games like Uncharted Golden Abyss. I've tested this myself, constantly playing the game and having the 3DS playing New Super Mario Bros. The Vita lasted 20 minutes longer. There are videos online that support this too. It's really surprising because with games at such higher visual fidelity and demanding hardware requirements, you'd think the battery life would be terrible. If you have a lower brightness setting, you can extend the life just a little bit longer.Games--------------Speaking of visuals, they look very crisp in games. There aren't a ton of Vita titles out yet, but all of them are very good looking on the Vita. They look better than PS2 visuals and run fairly smoothly. AC3:Liberation looks great and has open-world settings that is littered with detailed NPC models and tons of places to explore. FPS only drops a little here and there, but for what you're getting, its pretty awesome looking.The Vita also supports digital PSP games, PSX games, and Mobile games. Final Fantasy Dissidia, Lemmings, and Resident Evil 2 all play really well on the Vita. The only issue getting these games are the fact that memory is expensive. The memory cards are a little over priced, but luckily these bundles give you 4GB cards which is enough to hold about 3-4 different PSN games.An awesome plus for the Vita in terms of portable gaming is that you can buy some PS3 games (Sly Cooper 4, PlayStation Allstars) and get the Vita version for free. These games play and look almost exactly the same as the PS3 version and you can transfer save data between them. So when you leave your living room after playing the PS3, you can continue to play on your Vita instantly. It's really awesome, and it's basically a buy one-get one free deal.Disappointments--------------The one major disappointment I have with the Vita is that currently it does not support video output, meaning you cannot connect it to a TV like the PSP could. I wish some of these games could be output to the TV. Also, Remote Play (where you control your PS3 with your Vita) is still not fully functional yet. Sony has been trying to advertise this as a big feature for a long time, but it never quite lived up to its name. Basically they've promised being able to play PS3 games on your PSP (and now Vita) remotely but it never actually worked. It's very similar to the Wii U with the gamepad displaying the game instead of the TV. We'll have to wait longer for this I suppose.

Well I've owned a PSVita since February 15TH, and all I can say is that this handheld console will be cherished in my heart for many years. I can't say anything else other than the fact that the PSVita is a beast and completely obliterates any other gaming handheld out in the market right now. Your fancy smartphones and tablets with their $0.99 cent poop games using only touch inputs are, INCOMPARABLE, to dedicated handheld consoles. I can write an essay as to why smartphone and tablet games are garbage, so we'll leave that sentence like that because it's enough. The only thing the PSVita is comparable to, is other dedicated handheld consoles. The next best thing after the PSVita, is the 3DS. Which still, is not on the same pedestal as the PSVita in terms of quality and getting your money's worth. I would write an essay again about how greatly the PSVita dominates the 3DS, but then again I have better things to do with my time, like playing on my PSVita.But this review is not only about the PSVita, but most importantly about the Amazon customer service. Their service is... FREAKING AWESOME! There is NO other company out there as understanding and fulfilling as Amazon. THIS is my story about what happened that changed my perception of this company forever.Today I received my Limited Edition Assassin's Creed PSVita bundle that I bought from the ridiculously amazing Gold Deal on Amazon a couple days ago. Upon receiving the box from the post man, I found that there was something shaking and hitting the box inside. This gave me the first indication that this product was not properly packaged and secure. Seeing that the box was from Amazon, I knew what was inside the box banging and being whipped around. It was my Limited Edition PSVita. Now even before opening the Amazon box, I got sad and angry, when I should've been feeling happy. What was more annoying is that coincidentally I was at the front window of my house when the post man was bringing my package. When he got to my door, I saw him not handling the box properly and treating it like it wasn't of any value. But anyways, I finally went through to opening the package. I was curious to see if Amazon had any bubble wrapping, or plastic air cushions inside the box for my product to be secured. Surprisingly, there was a plastic air cushion, but it was deinflated. Most likely popped on the way to shipment. Now this is the part where I was raging. I have never received a product from anywhere in the world packaged poorly and carelessly like this. Especially for a limited edition product, this was completely unacceptable. Even if it wasn't Amazon's fault for the way they shipped it, and the air cushion just simply popped open on its way to delivery, I knew that something still had to be done.After all of this happened, I immediately contacted Amazon through their Live Chat, and in about 5 seconds I was talking to Andrew, one of their representatives. First of all, before I continue with the story, I have to say that the Live Chat is great. I was able to connect so fast and talk to someone that it somewhat tamed my anger. I've used Live Chats before for other companies regarding other matters, and they've on average taken 10-15 minutes just to get a representative to talk to you. Another win for Amazon! Anyways, I told Andrew what happened and he completely understood. He didn't need to question me, but instead he just kept his arms wide open and welcoming my problem. All he had to ask was if I wanted a replacement or refund, and he gladly obliged. At this point, my steam had sizzled and I was no more in a bad mood. He just said no problem, we'll send you a return shipping label with the FASTEST SHIPPING available. He then sent me the return label through email and my worries were gone. Talk about CONVENIENT! I love you Amazon.Andrew, you are great. The vita itself was fantastic when it worked, other then being a little uncomfortable to hold forcing me to buy a grip for it, every game I've bought for it has played great and been worth taking a risk on a console that doesn't get much love . HOWEVER, I"m not sure if its cause its a refurb or what, but the vita is extraordinarily finicky on if it wants to work at all, and has been like this since it arrived. I charged it up to 100% before my first use and I've kept the vita at probably 20%-100% charge at all times as I've heard letting them get to 0% is bad on lithium batteries, I almost always play with it on a charger, yet it constantly refuses to boot up or dies in the middle of playing games, then if I can get it to reboot again after 5-10 minutes of trying, it makes me re put in the data again, as if it thought it lost all power, even though on boot up we clearly see its both still fully charged, and recognizes its on a charger. I have no clue whats going on, but its made the system unplayable since while I can live with the frustration of the fact that some times it just doesn't feel like turning on, I can't get over losing hours of play time in RPGs and similar time investment games (dangan ronpa) because the fully powered vita suddenly decides its power just went from 100% to 0% instantly. This is my first time with a vita, so I'd like to think not all vitas are like this and its just because its a refurb, but I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone else to buy a refurb if this is the quality they can expect.

Worth every penny! I own both the original fat vita and now the slim. Original seems more sturdy, brighter and battery gets about 3 hrs and not comfy.

Slim is very light weight, not as bright, gets about 5hrs battery life, VERy comfy to play, way easier to play video games. I recommend buying those hardshell case. Feel like it can bend in your pocket like an iphone6. Looks VERY sleek matte black. Got it for $159.99 amazon.

All in all I say buy it!

I do notice the wifi on the slim is WEAKER. I have 2 wifi routers at my home and when I compare the 2. The slim is 10%-15% weaker in wifi compared to the Fat vita. I can be right next to the router and the slim reads 85% and the fat reads 95%-100%. I have yet to see it at 100%? I dont know if thats even possible? I have no idea why it does that but I tested them on both of my routers. And yes of course one vita was off and no other devices were on wifi at the time. Does it effect game play and streaming? Not really because I get good gameplay and streaming at 50%

ALSO I WOULD GET A MEMORY CARD WITH ATLEAST 16GB so you dont have to delete and re download. Got a 16GB card for $20 bucks on a bidding site!

For the Vita, most people would consider mainly between 3G or Wi-fi only. As of date, the best bundle to buy for wi-fi only is this Assassin's Creed bundle or the Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified bundle, and the best bundle for 3G is the free one year Playstation Plus subscription and Unit 13 bundle. Well, for this bundle, it is mainly for the Playstation Plus since you can potentially save hundreds or even in the thousands, depending on how you utilize it. The only reason that makes Assassin's Creed bundle more desirable is the white Vita that comes with it. The COD bundle and the PS Plus bundle have the original black Vitas. If the white Vita is not of your interest, then you can consider the other two bundles which differs by the game, or the primary factors of 3G and PS Plus service. Otherwise, now is a great time to buy the AC3 bundle since it has been going up in price for about a month now. It was released on about November and as you can see in about 4 months, it is now worth more than the original retail price of $250.I won't discuss too much technical details regarding each product of the bundle since there is much said about them in the other reviews. However, you can't really go wrong with the PS Vita, due to its sleek elegant design as well as its advanced features almost like that of a smartphone. There is a front and back camera, although I have to say the quality is somewhat average, and they can be used for both photos and videos. Also, there are apps you can have on it to listen to music, watch videos, and other cool features, and of course, you can store your own content such as music and videos on there. So yes, the Vita is awesome because it has many features of a smartphone and it can play some of your favorite games and in the best possible graphics. The graphics and sounds are definitely amongst the top so far in portable gaming consoles.The good thing about this bundle or I suppose the other limited edition bundles is that they don't come with just the Vita. A free good game, and a free memory card, although not adequate, are included, but at least you get one. Even if the memory card is not of much use to you due to your plans of upgrading and such, you can use it for small backup files or even resell it for some value. As for the games, I would say I like AC3, but in the end, it is based on your preferences. I say it is better than the other two in the bundles. But regardless, they are popular and even somewhat expensive games, so that is a plus.Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't have this bundle in stock since December and it doesn't seem like there will be any changes. It is also unfortunate that the price of the bundle now is at least fifty dollars more than its initial price, but if you are really into the white vita, then you should get it now before it is completely gone. I LOVE my Vita. I am really surprised this system isn't super popular. There are so many good things about this device. I really couldn't recommend it more. Most of my games are downloaded off the monthly PS+ free game deal. I also really love that you can remote into your PS4 and play (I have played it over WiFi over 450 miles appart!!)
Best gift I've ever bought myself :)

Pros:
- Great Touch Screen usability
- Skype works great on it
- Indie Game Support is fantastic
- Lots of optional add-ons if you want (cases and such)

Cons:
- Memory is expensive. If you plan on downloading games, just drop the money on a large card instead of buying multiple small ones

I just bought the Assassin's Creed Vita bundle, and I love the console. You can go and read hardware reviews and AC3 Liberation reviews, separately, but in short:The hardware is really good. I like the look of white Vita better then the original shiny black plastic, the screen is gorgeous, the dual analog sticks are awesome and they make playing some of the PSP library games much better as well (more on that later). The bundle includes memory card and it's enough for some PSN Mobile games and saves as well as maybe couple PSP titles. You will need bigger card if you want to download full games. Don't hesitate and just buy 16GB at least. Considering the unparalleled "awesomeness" that is the new and improved PS+ (pay $50 a year, get a ton of free games to play while you have subscription on both PS3 and Vita), it would be a great purchase. Keep in mind that Vita is also very capable from online support perspective, having access to PSN store and various mobile apps.Anyway, so the base card is included, as well as AC3 Liberation. It's a good game (could have been great with some dev time) that is surprisingly deep for a mobile title. For AC fans, it's a great game, and I enjoyed it.Vita in general is a great console and contrary to popular disbelieve, there are some great games for it. Gravity Rush (a must have), Wipeout HD, Uncharted, Little Big Planet (all four included for FREE in PS+), Virtue's Last Reward (also on 3DS, but it's a great great game), Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter vs Tekken, BlazBlue Extend (very good 2D fighting game), Dynasty Warriors (good, not great, but still, its good for the price), Disgaea 3 (great SRPG), Need for Speed (really good), Ninja Gaiden (great game), Ragnarok Odyssey (get your Monster Hunter fix) and other games (Black Ops is actually pretty good for multiplayer if terrible single player).Vita is not region locked unlike 3DS, so there are also Japanese and Asian imports to consider (Gundam and Hatsune Miku are worth it and don't really require much Japanese knowledge) and last, but not least, a huge library of inexpensive PSP games on PSN store that look best they ever did, and work faster then ever.If you never had a PSP (I never had one), there are many, many great RPGs (Trails in the Sky, Persona 3 Portable, Valkyrie Chronicles 2, Final Fantasy III, IV, VII, VIII, IX, Tactics Ogre, FF Tactics, which is free with PS+, and many more), Monster Hunter and Gods Eater (MH look alike but somewhat better, IMO), there are also good shooters (3rd Birthday and Kilzone Liberation), driving games and pretty much anything else you can think of. They are also fairly inexpensive. Note that for shooters, action games, driving games and such, it's often possible to map dpad for camera view to right analog stick, making games much much more playable on Vita vs PSP. This is the case with 3rd Birthday and Kilzone Liberation.And lets not forget that Persona 4 Golden is being released on November 20, DJMAX Technica Tune coming in early December, Soul Sacrifice is being released in early spring, and there are other games I don't remember which are coming soon.This is a great console, and one of best gaming purchases I've made. Yes, battery life could have been better, memory pricing could have been cheaper (its getting more reasonable with $45 16gb and $80 32gb cards, but still expensive), there could have been more 3rd and 1st party support, but still, it's a great console with a lot of games (especially if you have never had a PSP).

This factory re-certified Vita was my first entry into the Sony handheld world. I honestly didn't want to go all out on something if I wasn't sure if I'd even play it that much, which is why I went with re-certified/refurbished. I was, and still am, pleasantly surprised at how great it looks and functions.

There were no scratches or scuffs, which I was extremely surprised and happy with. The only signs that it has been used before were that the left analog stick is slightly looser than the right and there is a burn-in on the screen. That normally would bother me greatly, but the only time I've noticed it was when the scenes would change while playing The Walking Dead (plus I've even read about people buying brand new Vitas and having the same problem in just a few days of playing). Either way, the fact I paid a fair price for a factory re-certified system and got one in great condition was a bigger deal to me than those two flaws.

I'm glad I bought it and am really loving my Vita.

I just received my PS Vita today so this is only a first impressions review.Shipping - It was boxed to amazon's quality of care when it comes to shipping items. The PS Vita box was unscathed and there was nothing moving inside prior to opening so everything was fitted in its place. Shipping time was also fast for the service they use. Usually the USPS parcel service they use is very slow, but this time around they were quick. Thumbs up on that one.PS Vita - Everything was there. I got my game, my memory card, and the PS Vita along with the USB cable and A/V power cable. I did not use the 4gb memory card it came with since I purchased a 16gb memory card so I don't know if that's defective or not. I was able to boot up the PS Vita without any issues and went through the setting up menus. The game required a newer firmware so I updated that through the one from the cartridge. The PS Vita is very nice. The interface is very colorful and the menus are very crisp. the 5" screen is large and makes visibility very clear and little strain on my eyes. All in all, I am pretty satisfied with the Vita for first impressions.Assassin's Creed - I've only played just a little bit of it, but from what I gather so far the controls seem alright. They play as expected of an assassin creed game. The graphics aren't as crisp as I was expecting. I mean I've seen Marvel vs. Capcom 3 graphics on my friend's PS Vita so I was expecting something of that calibur. Never the less, it is still very nice looking and the presentation is done well. I can't comment on how enjoyable the game is just yet.PS3 quality comparison - Now it is pretty unfair to compare a handheld to a console in terms of graphical quality as well as control mechanics as it is very different, but if thinking of how the PSP was right in the middle between PS1 and PS2, the PS Vita is more like PS3's understudy rookie. Control wise, I do think the buttons are a tad small as well as the d-pad. I find it difficult to think about reaching for the d-pad, but it's nothing too vexing.I'm not stating that it's perfect, which is what most people think a 5 out of 5 rating is or a 10/10 for game reviews. I would have liked the assassin's creed box for the game. I mean I don't get even an instruction booklet? That at least could have been included. Battery life is kind of lacking. I'm sure they sacrificed on battery life to give the system the lightweight feel it has, but I wouldn't have minded a heavier system for an extra 2 hours of game play. the PSP battery lasted 7-9 hours on the low light setting. This one will probably give me like 4...maybe 5 at most. I played it on 75% battery as that's the default setting it had it on and it drained my battery from what it looked like 70% to about 50% in 30 minutes.Like I said it's not perfect, but I think those things are only minor inconvenience and not something that could affect my overall rating for the system as the performance itself is great. For the $180 price that I paid for on their special deal, I'd say this was well worth it. $250 I may have some reservations, but at $200 it will still be a good deal since it did come with 3 months of PS Plus and a DLC code for Playstation All-Star Battle Royale and that game just came out.If you can find a PSVita for under $200, I'd say buy one. There aren't many games out for it, but it's still a young console so there is plenty of time for that to change.

Allow me to elaborate briefly on what I mean in the title of my review. Having been out less than a year, the Vita has been met with lukewarm response and its current sales to date reflect that. This doesn't take away from the amazing piece of technological portable gaming brilliance (more on that later) that the Vita is, rather the less than thrilling sales reflect a somewhat poor marketing plan by Sony. Failing to recognize this countries fairly difficult economic times by offering a device void of any true value speaks to a corporations greed over consumer value. The word value is sprinkled throughout this review to drive home a singular point; we the consumer want and recognize value. At launch, the basic system sans any launch bundles, got you the Vita in an unplayable state given the lack of a memory card inclusion. That my friends should be classified as pure unadulterated pick pocketing. No memory card?? No ability to be up and running at time of purchase?? Tsk tsk.In comes the savior to what should already be recognized as THE BEST portable gaming system on the market today, bar none. The Crystal White Assassins Creed III WITH 4gb memory card bundle. At $249.99, this is what Sony should have done from the start. The Vita would have already sold 5-7 million units to date and would be garnering the attention and praise it deserves. Instead they are at roughly two million systems sold and well behind projected sales. I'm no business expert or genius but how hard is it to figure that out. The people want and can discern VALUE. Especially during these rough times.On to the system bundle itself. I couldn't be happier. The perfect blend of value and excellence at a price point no one should complain about. The Crystal White Vita is just stunning. I usually prefer black electronics (I have a black Iphone and iPad as well as a preorder for a black wii u), but somehow the white coupled with the design of the Vita make for an aesthetically beautiful piece of gaming hardware. I could just look at it all day and smile. Also as a bonus, finger prints on the white Vitas body are not visible unless you are explicitly trying to find them. Just perfect. The screen is as everyone has already detailed. BRILLIANT. Just gorgeous. Psp games even look 10x better. I have street fighter alpha 3 max (psp version) and it looks awesome. Hotshots tennis? Amazing. The controls are precise and I have no issues playing. I'm a guy with good sized hands and longer fingers yet find the buttons and controls to be just fine. Larger hands could find it a bit more labored though I'm sure. Just guessing.The 4gb memory card included, while nice to have initially, will only serve as a temporary fix when you realize how many fun games from the past and even present you may want to add to your library. The memory card issue is probably the biggest dilemma facing the Vita right now. The price gouging Sony has chosen to implement serves as the main culprit in this issue. That along with no inclusion at launch sans the more expensive bundles, served little to bolster Sonys rightful place in the portable gaming market. This bundle finally does the PS Vita right and is sure to be a great pickup for all without a Vita already. But is it too little too late and can it save the struggling Vita from a slow demise of Sonys greedy doing? Only time will tell. In the mean time, pick this bundle up and enjoy portable gaming bliss and smile at the VALUE you received in the process. Thank you for reading.

This is what handheld gaming should be.Everything you might want from a tablet- touchscreen, portability- everything you might want from an MP3 player- size, easy navigation- everything you might want from a portable gaming system- great games, raw power- all in one unit. And the thing is gorrrgeous. Sleek. Cool. The size is akin to holding a bigger smartphone in your hand, but there's this weighty thickness to it that represents what a high-end piece of work you have in your clutches.Wonderfully responsive touchscreen. Perfectly situated rear touchpad. Two analog sticks (take notes, 3DS) to go along with the buttons and d-pad and those delightfully artistic crystal clear shoulder buttons. Motion sensitive. Voice responsive. It even comes with a really long AC adapter cord so you can just chill on the sofa or in bed while playing without having to worry about running out of power-- which itself isn't a big hassle, since a full charge lasts about 8 hours! But don't worry, the Vita goes into standby mode whenever you want, so you can keep it waiting for you when you need it.And the operating system! Want to open a new application? Just flick your finger across the screen like you're turning a page, and it opens with a charming, novelesque flourish. You can position all your apps and games and music in little subsections, moving them around whatever page you want, all of which can be covered in any kind of desktop theme you'd like. Currently, some of my PSV desktop pages have a lovely wood paneling motif, a couple others have a garden theme. This thing would be worth the price on its own, as a sort of proto-tablet-PDA.Of course, the games are the main selling point, as they should be. Right now, early on in the system's life, there aren't a ton. But as a Gamestop manager I talked to put it so well, it's always a case of quality over quantity with Sony. You don't get the ridiculous shovelware that you'll get with other handhelds (do I really need more Nintendogs on my 3DS, Nintendo?? I love my 3DS, but c'mon), you'll just get superb games like Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation (free with this purchase, no less), Ragnarok Odyssey, Hot Shots Golf World Invitational, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and the stone cold killer gaming experience: Persona 4 Golden. There's also a bunch of games (Madden, MLB The Show, etc) that sync up with the PS3 version, so you can game your heart out at home or on the go. Not enough? You can download a boatload old PSP games or brand new Vita indie titles right off of the Playstation Network.And did I mention the PSN is an absolute breeze to use on the Vita, even moreso than on the PS3? Search for new games, old games, PS3/Vita hybrid games. Search for apps or themes or music, for demos and add-ons, too. And if you upgrade to PS+, there's a load of free games for your PSV just waiting for you right there. Heck, this Playstation Vita package I'm reviewing came with three FREE months of PS+ anyway! And a free (tiny) memory card! And two A-level games!Jeez. I've winded myself. From... overtyping. It happens. What can I say, I can't get enough of this little dynamo. For gamers like me who don't really need a pricey, unnecessary tablet or yet another super elaborate smartphone, this handheld is the perfect middle ground. Store your tunes, play your games, and kick some butt: the Vita is the way to go for gamers ON the go.

This is a far superior console to the 3DS in every way and as of now costs exactly the same. It has better purchase policies and account management. Yet I still have to recommend the 3DS because it has all the best games.

What are you thinking making proprietary memory cards so expensive? It's a portable console! People want to be able to download games on the go and have their whole library there, not have to carry around and/or lose little tiny cartridges. You made it so expensive to do that though that you've strangled your own console. Don't you want digital downloads; sold titles that people can't re-sell or trade in at game stop? News flash: choosing to sell a hand full $10 memory cards marked up 800% instead of facilitating the sales of a ton of games and consoles was short sighted and hurt you really badly in the long run.

This was a great bundle at the time because at 250, you were basically getting the game and 4gb proprietary Sony PS Vita memory card for free. On top of it being a beautiful limited, white version of the PS Vita system. (Although its my understanding that other bundles come with the memory card and game, this is the only white edition of the system. I like white, I like AC, package suited for me.)As a person who preordered the first Assassin's Creed limited edition, I have been a diehard fan. Compared to the other portable platform AC titles Ubisoft has given us (AC: Bloodlines for PSP, AC for DS, AC: Altair's Chronicles for DS, AC II: Discovery for DS) this one actually FEELS like an AC game. I had been much looking forward and I am without disappointment. You also get to unlock some cool stuff if you play ACIII for PS3 and Liberation interchangeably. They did this before with Bloodlines but they stepped that up too. There are some interesting features of the Vita the took advantage of for this game but I wouldn't say a whole lot, unlike Ocarina of Time remake for 3DS.The only issue I had with the game itself is that they do not give you the case or booklet. It is packaged in a little plastic container that also holds the memory card. Being a the box junkie that I am, I will probably go out and purchase the game again just because I want the case and booklet - perhaps resell this one to GS.About the system itself:Personally, I get every gaming system available - though I bought this one a little late. The Vita shows some vast growth from the PSP. I was owner of the original PSP and at the time, I had one of the earliest smartphones and I felt it wasn't up to par of what technology could provide. Now I find the Vita a strong competitor. Although its not a full force multimedia machine, considering its lack of applications. The games are very strong and compared to the 3DS, I think I prefer it. The Vita seems to cater to an older audience whereas the selection of games the 3DS provided feels like its geared towards children (or younger crowds). The one thing that I love about 3DS is that I am still able to play my 50+ DS games. On the PS Vita, I will have to rebuy downloadable versions - if they are available. That leads the the problem of data space. Unfortunately, Vita lacks internal memory, relying on the Sony proprietary memory cards. Four gigabytes is simply not enough. Mine is already filled with only two game saves, some - not all - of the apps, a couple demos, and one PSP download. Being proprietary, that means the prices are jacked up (currently at 80-100$ for 32 gb). The 3DS comes with a sandisk memory card and an equivalent to a 32 gb for a sandisk is only 25~$.Vita and DS are great systems, definitely have some issues particularly with the memory of the Vita but they both have a lot to offer as a multimedia machine and a gaming system. It just depends on what suits you personally. Oh and the wifi is a bit stronger on the vita, jsyk. One of the winning components for me was the ability to do multiple things on the vita without shutting the software (app, game, etc) down.They both have Netflix, now I am just waiting for one of them to release a Crunchyroll app.

I'll leave reviewing all the glimmering dopeness of the Vita to the other reviewers. It's without question, in my opinion. This review is on the Sony Factory Re-Certified hardware: Waited too long for a good price, and they came out with a new model... A step down to LCD screen in my opinion. I saw the recertified original hardware for a price that I felt was fair, coming with a guarantee from Sony. As close to new as possible. Only noticed ever so slight looseness on the left joystick. No affect on the functionality. Very pleased with my purchase, and glad I got the model with the LED screen that I wanted for a good price!

My son LOVES this PS Vita. Hopefully Sony will make more games for the PS Vita. The only other drawbacks:

1.Does not sync with our PS3
2. You must buy everything separately, including a proprietary memory card that is quite expensive. This does not use the normal Sony SD card...this one is special.
3. Not too many game choices
4. Minecraft has glitches in saving progress

So I ordered this refurbished PS Vita and it came on time and it looks great also turned on exactly how its suppose to do however I've been getting a lot of errors. One its not reading my memory card or its not reading the game. I've did the factory reset several times and sometimes I'll be able to play the game then others the errors popped up again. I don't know if its because the console was refurbished but I asked some of my friends who also had PS Vita's and they barely experience the problem I'm having. I love the console but I barely can play it cause of the errors.
