Item arrived in 100% working condition. No scratches looked brand new. So far everything works great, we are very happy with purchase. The only think that I didn`t like is the manufacturer box it came in. It was very plain, white and it said refurbished in few places. I wish they place 1 removable sticker so customer can take it out.

I was a bit skeptical about buying a recertified Vita instead of a new one, but after looking at the Vita-1000's new price I decided to go ahead and purchase it. I was not displeased. This PSVita literally looked brand new from the factory and I can't be any happier with it. Only issue is that it didn't come with a memory card, but no biggie. Amazon sells those, too :P ~Connor

[Update 15 March 2013]:So I decided to revisit AC3:L since what I said about it was very limited and was only based on the first couple minutes of playing. By now, I've played hours of it.As far as the story goes, it's actually not *that* bad. There is an actual story which makes sense. Graphics are decent but many scenes have obvious spots where it didn't show correctly. Don't expect cut scenes like from the normal series of AC though, these are cut down and have small movements. Sound is absolutely horrendous. There's probably two different background musics to the game, making it a huge annoyance to listen to. Movement is frustrating to use since you will almost always use your "R" button to run. After a couple days of playing, it felt like my R was going to break off. R is used to outrun the "police," jump over/on objects, basically anything to move faster. As far as *what* you can jump on, almost anything is "climbable" as long as you can reach it. Gameplay smoothness is very jumpy and teared up. Combat is very bad. It's really hard to counter/dodge/fight someone due to your character being slow. In a situation like the assassin vs. 3 others, buttons will get unresponsive. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 5.> It makes me wonder why games for the PSVita need to be watered down so much but the WiiU can have full games such as AC3 and CoD:BO2. Sony is just embarrassing themselves when they can't push out complete series.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Original review:This is an excellent device, no doubt about it. You can surf the internet and play games with nearly no lag between switching apps (programs). There's a potential to be much, much better but alas, it's probably not going to be. So far, almost a year into release, there's been an estimated 30-40 games released. It's a joke really, to have this little games. They did however, allow you to buy Playstation, Playstation minis, Playstation Portable, and other apps for a rather annoying price (as they force you to buy the game again even if you already own say a PSP game). There's a YouTube app so you can watch YouTube videos, but you cannot watch videos via the web server because of there not being flash. The battery life is short. I can use it for 2 hours straight and this would burn more than half of its life. I was expecting for maybe 6-8 hours of use for one charge. For Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation, it's really not that good. It's much harder than it needs to be and is not what I was expecting for an AC game.Overall not a bad handheld, there just isn't enough games.Edit: I forgot to have mentioned that the Vita also has very overpriced memory cards. A simple 4GB card costs $20, over twice what it should be. Same goes with the rest of the memory cards.

There are a lot of positive reviews likely written directly after the item is delivered and the person is thrilled with their new toy, but take this review of an early adopter for consideration if you will. The reason why this is the first game bundled with the Vita that you hear about is because of it's brand recognition. Before this game there was a long period of time that the Vita provided nothing that a console wouldn't, and also lacked in quality titles that only a hand held could offer. The answer to that was gravity Rush which came after months of waiting. It was a blast, but that was still really the only game that made this system uniquely worth having. Fast forward months and months later to this new Assassin's Creed game, which sorry, but is a watered down experience compared to the new console version out. It's good, it's just not as good as what else is offered out there. The point is, they are putting the AC:L and Vita together because they want to claim this game is worth owning the system for. Even if that was the case, what happens afterwards? The Vita is still being used as a perpetual tech demo, getting every toned down console game ported that it can. I really makes you wonder if you should just have a vita, or just have a PS3. They try to combat that by giving you a code to have both versions in very few select games but that adds to more problems, which is the memory card. It is a complete rip off. The memory cards are low performance and slow, not to mention nearly 4x (at launch, now 3x)the cost of other, higher performance memory cards like it and they completely required for the Vita's use. 4Gb is not only not enough space, but it will make your experience with this system abysmal as you will have to use their extremely clunky program to transfer items back and forth to manage the card and its limited size. Many games are even larger than the 4Gb memory card which instantly hinders your positive experience.I ask you to consider that after the "WOW" of this new game wears off, what are you left with? You are left with a battery eating, heavy, supped up PSP that seeks to drain your patience and money through overpriced store items. Plants vs Zombies for example is $14.99 when you can get it for the iPad HD (using that as an example because its portable and has a gorgeous screen) for as low as $0.99 or even $6.99 at it's most expensive. The PSV's web browser is terrible and its more than apparent that it was just tacked on with little consideration for how it would perform. The system is great while you play a game that is worth owning but so far it's too few and far between to warrant a purchase. Gravity rush moved a lot of Vitas but then all those people pretty much had to wait for this game months later to enjoy the system again. There is nothing that says this will be different.

I've waited a long time to purchase a Vita and once I finally did I don't regret it for a millisecond (yeah, a millisecond folks!).I've owned every system and handheld since the NES and I knew I would eventually get this but I waited for the first set of price-drops in November. I absolutely love this thing and I'll tell you why...Positive:The graphics on the handful of games I've played are amazing. It really does feel like I'm playing a miniature PS3. The quantity of AAA games is growing and with the ability to play many PSone originals you'll never run out of stuff to play. The PS Store, trophy support, and content manager work great. I have my Vita sync'd to my home computer and I'm able to transfer stuff wirelessly to it very easily via my home network. The battery life is good for the amount of power it's putting out to play such good looking games. I believe I get around 8 hours of use before it needs a recharge. The one thing that works great that surprised me is the browser. It's pretty fast and in my experience it's faster than the PS3 browser has ever been.As for the design and the durability of the Vita, it's top notch. The only thing on the entire device that feels even remotely questionable are the shoulder buttons. The L and R buttons feel a little flimsy at times but they work perfectly fine and I've never had a problem with them yet. The dual sticks feel great as well and the Vita feels pretty good in your hands. I've played P4G on this thing for about 6-7 hours straight and my hands never cramped up.Negative:There's not much I can think of that I don't like about the Vita. There could be a few more customization options like being able to put the apps in different configurations other than the "side-ways-ruby-shape" they have set up. I think it would also be nice to change the icons to different shapes or remove the text to them if desired. The only major thing I dislike is the fact that they use a new type of memory card. These things are expensive as hell still and if you want to or are required to install portions of games to the Vita you're going to need some space. This particular bundle I bought included a 4GB card which is probably enough for a few games and some picture and music. If you want to install some of the PSone games or digital PSP games you're going to need a bigger card. I have a 16GB now and that seems to work. It is worth mentioning that PSP games obviously will not work on a Vita and there's no way to get them to it without re-purchasing the digital copies of them on the PSN if they're supported on the Vita.Verdict:Get one...seriously...get it now!

In which case, you'll have far more to play on this system than a 3DS.

Summary:I have owned my vita for about 3 months, and I conclude that the PS Vita is a great up-and-coming portable system that hardcore and casual gamers will enjoy. Typically, portable systems are just a way to play when the main console isn't available. The Vita, however, has the performance, graphics, and immersive potential that is right on par with PS3 gaming and may having you playing (certain games) even when the PS3/Xbox is available. Furthermore, since late november 2012, you can download several quality games every month for free if you are a playstation plus member which keeps you flowing in the games (more on this later). This version comes bundled with a 4 gig memory card and assassin's creed 3: liberation (AC3), which are the weakest features of this bundle.Vita Itself:The white system looks really cool, and will make your friends jealous. The touch screen (both front and back) are precise and responsive. The display is crisp and vivid. The axis sensors are surprisingly precise as well. Games like "gravity rush" allow you to rotate the system any angle in order to change camera/aim/etc. It's done well, and draws you into an experience that I doubt can be replicated on a console system. I look forward to more games that use the system's functionality to create fun and immersive gaming experiences. The battery life of the system is not great. You can get a good couple hours of gaming time, but if you are playing a lot during the day you will have to charge it by end of day. If you play a few hours here and there, it can last a few days.AC3:AC3 is the typical AC experience, and I won't say much about that except that the game really looks and performs like the previous editions. I only played a few hours, and I rather just play AC on PS3. Although there are a few interesting uses of the touch screen(s), it wasn't an exceptional gaming experience (the hours I played anyway).Memory card:The 4GB memory card functions fine for saving games and trying a few demos, but if you want to download full games you will need something bigger (at least 16GB) since a REAL game will be ~2-3.5 GB. If you join playstation plus ($50 a year, ~$4 a month), you will have access to download full really good games such as uncharted and gravity rush for PS Vita. Just those 2 games more than make up for the cost of a full year membership. And more games come out every month! That is not to mention you can purchase other games, and PSP/PSX games are available for download as well. Conclusion:So do yourself a favor, and go get a vita, a bigger memory card, and a playstation plus membership. You might just "never stop playing". :D

The game plays like an HD PSP game. Despite the 2nd analog stick the PS Vita brings to the table, the "claw" returns. The game has no update as of writing this review and features many animation, mesh, bitmap, texture, etc. bugs and glitches. Most of them don't freeze or crash the game, but they generally hinder gameplay. The game doesn't run as smoothly as I'd like as there are frequent frame drops during scenes with relatively little on the screen. Think PAYDAY: The Heist's animation, mesh, etc. and jerkiness. The game does feature new features and improved free-running, as well as a [cliche] new and mostly interesting story.#PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale | 4 out of 5This game is fun. Right from the start you're given access to all the characters, and all the stages. This game is great for playing with your friends who own the game on either system via Cross-Play. The biggest issues I have with the game so far are no audio leveling (super moves are loud compaired to everything else), and running is your only option (there is no walk). The battle system is a little rigid, but robust. The Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation bundle is my first foray into the PS Vita world. I was a huge fan of the PSP, and although I was initially excited for the Vita, it's launch price kept me at bay. The AC3 Liberation bundle solved that issue however. So now I finally have my hands on this magnificent machine. The bundle includes:1.) Crystal White Playstation Vita2.) Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation (in a crappy plastic case)3.) 4GB memory stick (with AC3 in the same crappy plastic case)4.) USB Charging cable5.) AR CardsReview of the PS Vita system:Upon taking the system out of it's box, I was astounded at its weight and size. This thing is huge! Its at least 2 times the size of my PSP 3000 and twice as heavy as well. It even dwarfs my old PSP 1000. The buttons are tiny and probably half the size of the PSP's. The same goes for both analog sticks. As I mentioned earlier, this bundle's PS Vita is crystal white. Very nice! I just can't stop looking at it! It is very beautiful. Oh and the screen? Exquisite! Its the most beautiful screen I've seen in any handheld gaming machine. Here is a screen issue that may stump some new PS Vita owners as it did me. Whenever you play it at night, dark blotches will be visible all over the screen.. When the game enters a black screen, the blotches (at least on my system) will seem to be in the dozens, covering the whole screen. However, the game will display perfectly during gameplay.. At first I thought my PS Vita was defective, but after a little google search, I came to find out that it was actually a normal feature of OLED screens. The system's safety guide even describes this issue in page 8. So if you find dark blotches on your screen while playing at night, don't panic. It's normal :)The system itself gets 10/10 stars. It is the handheld gaming system I have always wanted; powerful, dual analog controls and incredible graphics with the potential to provide a true home console experience on the go. Its too bad that it just isn't receiving the love it deserves. Here's hoping that the Vita will pull through and be even more successful than the PSP, which I also love.Assassin's Creed 3 Liberations Short Review (You can read my VERY LONG review of this game at the AC3L page):7/10 - Very good game but I think it could've been handled with a little more care. The bugs don't kill the experience completely, but the amount of glitches that are present in the game makes you wonder who the hell was in charge of quality assurance. The story though presented well, is uninteresting. The gameplay is very very fun. Overall I would recommend it, but be aware that you WILL come across many bugs. The game would be an 8/10 were it not for these glitches.

I got this bundle for Christmas and have really enjoyed my new Vita. The current games lineup is definitely quality over quantity, but in addition to the included ACIII:Liberation, I also have Uncharted, Escape Plan, Hot Shots Golf and Unit 13. The ACIII game is in my opinion above average (but not great), I would probably give it 3.5 stars. Like the other AC games I have played it starts slow but gets more interesting as it moves along. My main complaints with the game are similar to my issues with the AC series in general...parkour is not as good as in games like Uncharted or Infamous, combat not as satisfying (or fun) as in Arkham City or the like. All in all though, I would say it's a nice early third party effort on the Vita.As for the Vita, I will agree with many of the other reviewers and say the Vita is an amazing little piece of hardware. I have played on the PSP, DS and even Gameboy way back when. The Vita is far and away my favorite handheld and definitely has the potential to deliver on the promise of "console quality on the go." It looks great, feels great, plays great. There's not much more one could ask from the system itself.Still, there are good reasons why these little gems are not flying off the shelves. Not the least among these is Sony's marketing of the Vita to date (or rather, almost complete lack thereof). Other than this, I see four main weaknesses of the system: 1) Current price point, 2) Low install base/Vitas "in the wild", 3) Lack of third party support, and 4) Those ridiculously expensive (but absolutely necessary) memory cards. The good news in my opinion is that these are much like dominos in a row waiting for the first one to fall. Sony must recognize the Vita's best price point is somewhere closer to the Black Friday deals...a price drop is sorely needed at this point. Lower price means more Vitas bought, more users hopefully attracts third party developers of quality games like Bioshock, Dead Space, GTA and some decent first person shooters (am hoping Killzone reverses the current trend of mediocrity in this area). The memory card issue is not an easy fix, but with more users will surely come companies that will produce cheaper versions of the cards at least. To sum up, the Vita is awesome and has some great games. I highly recommend it, but hope future users can pick it up at a more attractive price!

The Vita is awesome. I really couldn't realize it, until I had received mine in the mail, and held it in my hands. I had a PSP, and this thing is light years beyond the console that it replaced. The Vita feels incredibly comfortable, perhaps even more so than my trusty Dual Shock controllers. The miniature, twin analog sticks are brilliantly implemented, comfortable, and they function perfectly. Likewise, the shoulder buttons (and face buttons) are perfectly placed and easy to engage. Ergonomically, I couldn't ask for anything more- the Vita just feels good in my hands, and I can play it at length without any discomfort. The only time it's NOT comfortable (or fun) is when a game forces me to use the touch screen, whereupon I'm forced to awkwardly start bumbling with the screen (or even worse, the back touch interface) with one hand, while I hang onto the console with my other hand. It's my hope that Sony will stop forcing gamers to use these awkward touch schemes. Why on earth would they develop such perfect physical controls for their handheld, and then ignore them at times? If we want to play games with touch, there are dozens of options- Kindle Fire, iPad, smart phones, etc. The Vita can and should be the ALTERNATIVE to everything else, not one more touch device that will be lost in a sea of similar devices. I can't begin to describe the frustration I felt when I was forced to use touch while playing "Golden Abyss" or "Mutant Blobs from Space". I actually had to stop playing the latter game, because I couldn't adjust to the touch portions, and they brought the fun factor to a screeching halt for me.Now back to the good stuff... The 5" OLED screen is stunning. You really can't appreciate its vibrancy or effectiveness until you hold a Vita in your hands, and you'll most likely be surprised by its size (it seems way bigger than the PSP). Also nice is the fact that despite this large screen, the Vita easily fits into a front pants pocket, and it's rather light in weight. As for the games that I've played, they've been truly impressive, though I haven't yet seen anything that I think is quite on par with the PS3 from a technical perspective. Nonetheless, the performance that has been crammed into this handheld is downright mind boggling. I have very high hopes for the future of the Vita, and I'm confident that it can succeed, while bringing a great deal of fun to gamers- so long as it utilizes the brilliant physical controls that are its trump card, and leaves the touch stuff to other devices.

Like all the others on Black Friday I was blessed enough to get this insane deal. The assassin creeds bundle is worth every cent. You get the following: a crystal white ps vita limited edition system, the assassin creed 3 liberation game, and a 4gb memory stick. Now if you was lucky to get this on Black Friday, you received more. The reason I did not buy this at launch was because I was broke. I did not want the 3ds due to flaws with the system. So I decided that when I get the money ill get the vita instead. Now a lot of people are saying that the vita does not have many games (ill get to that a LIL later) now if you have second thoughts on getting the ps vita let me put that to rest. THE PS VITA IS THE BEST HANDHELD GAMING SYSTEM EVER!!! The boot time is fast, the system is very light, you get 2 analog sticks, the system uses cartridges in stead of Umds, is completely silent, it has 2 touch screens, one in the front and the other in the back,2 cameras, one front and one back. You get apps such as Netflix,Facebook,YouTube, etc. THE SCREEN IS BEAUTIFUL, a five inch screen oled display .This has to be the most absolutely best screen ever on a portable gaming console. Makes 3ds screen look like crap. Now the software is unlike anything I've seen, kinda like an ipad, and just as smooth as an ipad. Everything is intuitive, fast, and easy to learn. You will tell yourself this cannot be a psp, it works and feels nothing like its brother. Now for the games. People are all saying that 3ds has more games, well yes that's obvious, the 3ds was out a whole year before the vita was release. But don't be disappointed, the vita has great games, uncharted, rayman, wipeout, mortal kombat, gravity rush, ultimate marvel vs capcom. These games are crazy fun, and look so good on the vita you won't believe your eyes. Not only does the vita offer the launch games, you can access to the ps store where you will find tons of games, psp games, ps one games, ps minis, etc. I was completely shock how great this system is, I was just like you, I didn't know whether to buy it but I'm very happy I did. Now there are some bad points, like the memory cards are very expensive but you will need one to play anygame, the battery is ok, not great, but still good. You still get those stupid ps manteniece. But at the end of the day playing games on this thing is great and addictive, the games look beautiful, and everything runs smoothly. Don't listen to the haters, buy this now I swear you won't miss your money.

This is a review about the actual refurbished item received:
The screen had some pixel problems and a dead spot in it. I also saw some bad pixels popup when I swiped to close menus from the home screen. Be mindful if you buy a refurb product, chances are it was repaired.
The actual product is awesome but I wouldn't get it refurbished.

Was great when it worked. The refurb that I got freezes up often on the home screen and it has to be restarted. But when it was working remote play worked great, even streaming over T-Mobile 4G. Not sure I would go with a refurb again, probably just buy a new one to replace this when a bundle comes out (in stock) with a game that I don't already have (Borderlands 2).

No discernible difference between this and a brand new one. Mine came absolutely flawless and made it past my OCD filter, which is saying something.

Amazing hand held, with there being the two mini joy sticks it really opens up the pliability of a lot of games like first person shooters. With there being a store and browser built in to the device you can browse the web and read reviews on other sources about the games you are about to buy and then purchase a game all on one device.

I will try to be brief. Overall I think this is a fantastic handheld gaming device. Considering my last one was a Nintendo DS there is simply no comparison. The graphics are fantastic, it's easy to use and the size is good even for my tiny lady hands.I purchased this for gaming while traveling. I own a Xbox360 and a PS3 so I didn't buy this for gaming at home nor as my primary gaming device. I think comparing the games or the handheld system to console games or console systems is unfair. There are always limitations associated with what smaller devices can do.***Bundle/Value***I got this on a lightning deal for $179, and received a code for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for PlayStation Vita and 3x 1mo trials of Playstation Plus. So two games, 4GB memory card, 3 months of PS Plus AND a Wi-Fi Vita for under $200 is a good deal for this. I wouldn't pay more than that for it.***Vita***I think the white Vita looks very neat and it masks all those fingerprints! The size is nearly perfect for my hands. I would love it if it was just a tiny bit shorter horizontally as I have to strain my thumbs a bit to touch the middle of the screen. Otherwise the buttons have good placement and it's easy for me to use index fingers on [L] [R] buttons and thumbs on the up/down arrows and action buttons.***Liberation***I'm a HUGE Assassin's Creed fan. Loved that the white Vita came as a bundle with the game. The game itself is a lot of fun. Obviously it is adjusted for a handheld device and I did not expect it to play the way it plays on a console. I think overall it stayed true to the franchise and delivered the same type excitement and play.***Interface***This is a miss for me. The graphics are so beautiful inside of the games, but the interface with the "wobbly" buttons looks really ugly to me. It is however quite simple to use, if you're used to something like an ipad or a smart phone you'll know what to do. For example "organizing" the icons works the same as it does on an ipad and an android.***Apps***I have virtually zero use for apps such as camera, maps, email or music. However I think it's a nice touch for someone who doesn't own a smartphone. Since the Liberation Vita is WiFi only I bet most people will be using the WiFi aspect at home, or maybe a hotel while traveling so personally I don't find these useful.I recommend this device to anyone who wants to have something fun to do while traveling or commuting but not as your primary gaming console.

Kind of annoying this costs so much and doesn't come with any memory card. I have to shell out another $100 for a decent memory card because only Sony Vita cards work in this utter pile of crap.

It arrived today...and looks brand new. No wear at, I didn't turn it on yet, but I don't think there will be an issue at all. Never had a problem with factory refurb products. My ps2 and 3 are both factory refurb and I love them. The seller is great and the product is great. Will be writing another review when I turn it on. I lost my ps vita 3G version in a horrible accident :( glad to have one back, it's not my new baby. Thank you.

Worked like a charm. Physical condition was excellent. Specialized emory card purchase always sucks, but Amazon sells them for far less than retail. Worked great for remote play on the Destiny beta, can't wait for the full release.

It arrived in great condition. There are not any scratches or marks and is in near perfect condition, the only thing that I have noticed is that the thumb sticks are a bit smoothed out from regular wear and tear of the previous user but that is to be expected. I was nervous of getting a refurbished product but have been overall very pleased.

Like many people have said, absolutely superb. I received it, and literally mistook it for being brand new, works perfectly, was in absolutely amazing condition, charges great, plays great... and well, I had no idea vita had a touchscreen, which made it even more of a great buy for me.

Cant believe what you get for the price, as it looks to be brand new. This is the first generation, and what I believe to have the better screen. Using this for remote play on the PS4 is GREAT!!!
