I am very disappointed, headphones not working with ps3 (only microphone works), not working with TV (You need to buy cabel, connecting cord of course is not included), sound... may earphones sound better and I got them for free with my HTC. Maximum sound limit is too low. Headphones losing signal when you moving around the house. After 30 mintus You will feel sweaty ears. Buttons are in uncomfortable places. NFC I do not understand this idea it is useless. After sending a request to connect the headphones to a different hardware, seller wrote to me: read the instructions again. These are by far the best headphones I have ever owned and I have owned a few. Awesome bass with crystal clear trebles and a good mid range, plenty of punch and lots of volume. Very comfortable to wear and very well made with good quality materials. Well done Sony 9.5/10

Great pair of over ear headphones, they go on forever. My mobile phone died and needed recharging before these did. They are a little on the large side, very light at first but once you listen to them on a long flight you certainly notice the weight. The only feature missing is the noise cancelling feature, this is why I returned them, great ear phones and if you are looking for wireless with a good base sound and do not mind the lack ANC then these are certainly a good buy.

When these arrived I noticed they didn't have a CE marking and the box said "for the Chinese market only" thinking that Sony would not have a global standard this didn't bother me. Like all Bluetooth devices they suffer from most of the "classics" like a slight blip before a new steam & occasional drop-outs. When stable they have a really warm sound without the base being too obtrusive, they are comfy but I could imagine them to get a bit sweaty on hot days, the range is good I get 14 metres before they drop. Can't hear any hiss, classical music sounds great for Bluetooth. Batteries seem to go on forever, been using them everyday for a week now & still going strong. I did audition the Bose but I think the volume is higher on these. Overall don't think you could get any better than these nice looking cans. As a footnote I wouldn't pay Sony's web price of £400 though that's taking the mick.

i haven't been impressed with sony lately but these headphones are amazing. Sound quality is superb and you walk around your flat, house or wherever without any worries of the sound quality deteriorating. The most surprising quality about the headphones is that you only have to charge them at least once every 4/6 weeks even with heavy usage, the battery life is incredible like nothing else i've never experienced.

I took delivery of the Sony MDR1RBT headphones yesterday and they sound terrible. I therefore fail to understand the reviews praising the sound quality.
I've only used them for 3 or 4 hours. Do they require running in? If so, for how long and by how much is the sound quality likely to improve?
Ps I've been using them with an iPad 4 with music sourced from Spotify Premium.
Edit: After using them for several more hours, the sound quality remains poor. I've also noted there is no CE mark stamped on the headphones. I have concluded they must be fake and I will now have to go to the trouble of returning them to Amazon for a refund.

Has these headphones for a couple of months. I cannot find any fault with them. Love the sound quality. Battery lasts for ages. The headphones seem to connect with anything really easily, well recommended.

After an excruciating long decisioning process focussing on Sennheiser (550X Travel), Bose (Quietconfort 15) and Sony (have tried all their top products) I decided to go for Sony, although I have great reservations on their post sales / warranty service. Basically both Sennheiser and Bose offer better warranty durations and replacement service.
With Sony, you get 1 year limited warranty and they will have to invoke the Consumer Protection Law to get a second year. They would not repair, eventually change or you are left with a piece of plastic. This is what happened with my previous Sony BT 50 headphones (250 EUR in 2007). Not even an acknowledgement by Sony, their Customer Service is simply a disaster.
Without going too technical these Sony sound better than Sennheiser, incredibly better than Bose across the whole dynamic range at any volume level. The design is definitely superior and more robust, although you would think they could have used more metal (it is a very well disguised plastic frame but definitely better than the other two models).
The comfort is remarkable even after long time since they surround the entire ear without touching it.
The flexible Bluetooth and wired connection is very handy. Aside from very rare interferences I could not notice any interference whatsoever with or without wire.
In a nutshel if this is your price range go for these. I bought an additional 3 years Squaretrade insurance to mitigate the horrible Sony warranty or service.

Very high quaality headphones. Connects easily in seconds, easy to set up. 35 hours playing time. Sound quality is amazing, you will be lost with the clarity of music, crystal clear performance. Good position of the handling buttons. Just take it and enjoy....

I auditioned a range of bluetooth headphones and in my opinion these are by far the best. Having the option to use bluetooth or wired is a big plus. Sound quality is up to par with the price

Received them about two weeks ago. Have not had to recharge since my initial charge. The bass and treble responses are brilliant, but can be changed via Bluetooth source. I just love them. Can listen to the radio/iPod as I wander around the house. They sit easily on the head and outperform my Bose headphones. At last, have (after many purchases) including top of the range Sure earphones found what I was looking for - music quality with no tangled wires.

Pros: Light weight, Attractive finish, Brilliant build quality.
Cons: £400 if brought directly from Sony...
What are you waiting for get them here for almost half price.
Worth £500 if you love music and the added benefits of built in mic etc make this perfect for gaming and making phone calls!

As a consumer I rate things on a buy once principle. These are great headphones that are comfortable, offer good build quality and clear sound. The design of these high quality **not noise cancelling** Bluetooth headphones is simple and appealing.
[Ed] These are not as believed when originally wrote the above noise cancelling headphones. I still rate these headphones and enjoy them daily. The noise cancelling feature should be made clear.

Battery Life, Sound Quality, Comfort are all outstanding.
Sound leakage is next to none.
Small hissing noise when no sound being passed to them is the only reason i dont give them 5*

I have had few other Bluetooth headphones, but this one is worth every penny compare to my previous mm450, the one thing i hated about my mm450 were the volume it only got a little bit better when using the Bluetooth options item self. although the quality were good but what is the point having excellent quality without being able to even hear the sounds, however, these are equally loud with and without the Bluetooth. the design are of the headphones are well made.loving the string of red. if you want good base excellent sound go for it. I feel like buying another one but am officially broke after buying this headphones.

Having already owned a pair of high-quality headphones of a similar price range, I was dubious that for a little more money and Sony branding that that could be topped. But I was proved wrong.
These stylish can-style headphones are surprisingly comfortable to wear and the intricacy of the audio through it is astounding. While they appear to be marketed to bass lovers you hear a very satisfactory oomph in the mid-range too.
Bluetooth pairing is as easy as expected and though charging is via USB cable, this is not a big deal as a charge could last you months. There's also a 3.5mm stereo lead in there to hook up it with wired devices. Also included is a sleeve.
The package it comes in is beautifully presented, and right from the presentation to its use it's clear that this is a sanely priced deluxe product. The best personal audio experience I've had to date.

I usually buy cheaper headphones but after reading reviews for these headphones I decided to splash out. WOW they are simply stunning I can't rate these higher. If you are in the market for high end reasonably priced headphones you won't go far wrong with these crackers.

I bought the headphones mainly because I want less wires in my life. A friend of mine says all Bluetooth headphone sound quality are rubbish but boy was he wrong. The quality is superb especially if you team them up with With poweramp on android. Playing flacs like public enemy you can really feel the bass on the other hand playing the eagles the sound was crystal clear.
Comfortable too especially like me who have big lugs.I've walked around with these on for hours. One more thing these phones will punish poor recordings you can tell the difference between mp3 and uncompressed flacs on spotify I always have to download and sync extreme quality as anything else sounded rubbish.

Before trying these phones I was quite disparaging of the huge headphones I saw on the tube and the street as style over substance and a symptom of bling culture. (Especially when I heard how much they cost). How on earth could £200+ headphones be worth the money when they were plugged into a phone? Well I stand corrected. These headphones sound awesome no matter what they're hooked up to. I heard new sides to everything I listened to. Bass that I thought was constant undulated and I heard new depths to voices I had become accustomed to for years.
They're incredibly comfortable and surround the ears rather than on top of them giving a sort of noise reduction as part of the package. And then just to add a cherry on top the bluetooth connects up first time every time and the battery life last for days. Couldn't ask for more.
