If you use the properly charged Plantronics Voyager 520 in a quiet environment, it does the job. Mostly, and for a while. For some reason, the fit has changed although my ears are still the same and the unit drops out more and more often (after ~3 months of use). Probably the most annoying bugs are the so-called battery-indicator and the way it amplifies any environmental noise compared to the operators own voice. The battery indicator displays ~2/3 battery lifetime until the unit suddenly dies off and has to be recharged. The unit is essentially non-functional if the environment noise goes above the level of a computer fan. It gets even worse if it is exposed to the slightest movement of air (not to speak about wind). On top, the battery charger has contact problems. One brand new unit had to be returned because it couldn't be charged at all. The other one has to be squeezed in multiple times.

Stick with the 510 - whenever I think there may be a better mousetrap - the 510 ends up beating the pants off of the competition.

The Plantronics 855, as noted by others, exhibits a number of deficiencies that are simply unacceptable in a stereo headset.(1) Anemic volume. I mean it. Lousy, inadequate volume.(2) Skips frequently. Skips a lot. Imagine someone banging on your CD player and making it skip. Totally gruesome "drop-outs."(3) Very poor range. I cannot get more than 10 or 15 feet away from my phone, a Nokia E90, without completely losing the signal.Finally, the skipping occurs even when my phone is in its case on my belt.Other reviewers seem willing to live with these faults. Really?! A headset should faithfully reproduce the sound ... not dilute it and introduce drop-out gaps.Plantronics engineers: BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD ON THIS ONE!!!

I was looking for a bluetooth headset that would withstand all the background noise that you normally hear in a semi truck. A large number of trucker recommended the plantronic 510. I tried out the 510 for a couple of weeks and it worked great. I saw the new 520 at one of the local truck stops and figured that it would work twice as well as the 510 and it looked alot nicer too. (WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)The 520 works great for the everyday user(car,home,and office)truck drivers stay with the 510. The 520 actually amplified the cab noise!!!!!!Going back too the 510 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my first bluetooth headset and it was just bad. Very inexpensive, but still not even worth the value. It grips the ear in a very uncomfortable way and everyone I spoke to complained about the sound quality.

This is the fourth Headset that I've purchased. It is the best in terms of fit and function. The sound quality is very good, but not quite as good as my Jawbone. The sliding mechinism works very well, and the fit stays in place for the most part. I had a problem with the Jawbone staying in place because it was so heavy. I am currently having an issue with the bluetooth dropping off, but that could be a slight incompatibility with the HP HW6515 since it uses older bluetooth technology. The stereo capability works pretty good. You don't get the bass of a dedicated headset, but having two devices in one make up for this lose.All in all this is a great choice.

Very good sound quality. It's easy to pair it with my AT&T Tilt. Battery time is a little bit too short. It only least for about 4 hours for MP3 listening.

I have the verizon casio g'zone S-type cell phone and 've tried the Jabra BT135, Motorola HS850, Motorola H350, Motorola H500, Motorola H700, and Plantronics 330 and this one beats them all hands-down. Everyone I talk to says sound quality is great. However I've heard complaints that when I stop speaking, others hear static. Battery life has been great. It is the most comfortable and stable ear piece I have tried, as well. The volume control is a little tighter than others, but I had no problems pressing it. Pairing was simple. I used the device around a large airport, and it lost pairing frequently during that time, but other than that there were no problems. I did return it only in an effort to find the ultimate headset, and I'm going to try the 510 next.

This product has really nice sound quality as it shields most ambient noise, like wind, kids, and radio. However, if you can keep the 520 in your ear, then good luck. If you push it in your ear far enough, then the earpiece becomes uncomfortable. The softness around the earpiece isn't very soft. If you're looking for a bluetooth earpiece that has great sound quality while it bounces around your sore ear, then this is the earpiece for you.

The Platronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth Headset is very convenient to wear to the point that at times you forget it is there. The sound is great and very easy to operate. You just have to remember that when you wish to use the phone without the headset, you must turn the headset off, otherwise you will not be heard (both ring at the same time). Our son recommended it to us after he got one and we purchased two. The other benefit is that the headset can serve 2 cell phones. Very convenient for my husband who has a personal phone and one for work.

Works well with my ATT 8525 and Garmin Rino 530 as well as my Motion Computing Tablet. Stereo sound is not great, but that is about what I would expect from this size headphones. Comes with several different ear piece sizes to fit different ear sizes and shapes. If you do not use the ear hook, likely to fall out of your ear, but with the hook secure. Very light, u can wear it for a whole day without problems. If you pick-up your incoming call with your phone, rather than with the ear piece, will not connect to the ear piece (at least with my ATT 8525.Overall I am quite happy with it.

This headset is lightweight and comfortable. You will not have any issues hearing your calls. I could hear my caller well even in noisy areas. The funnel like earpiece allows you to hear your caller at very low volumes. On a windy day outdoors your caller will hear wind noise. The one button design will take some getting used to if like me, you have had multi-button headsets in the past. I have it matched to a LG Venus phone. Paired right up didn't even have to enter a passcode. Comes with a cool docking station for charging that you have to assemble.

I just purchased the 520 as a replacement for the 510, as the microphone level on the 510 has been weak according to feedback I received from callers.After purchasing the 520, all my callers indicate the level and clarity are great. Even better, the 520 is much more comfortable, as I barely even notice I have it on. I highly recommend this product!

I've been using the M2500 for about 2 years now and figured I'd throw in some comments in case it helps anyone still out there buying this item. At the time, this was a cheap, entry level headseat with a pretty decent feature set. Now, you can get much better for your money.Ergonomics:Headseats that use this basic design (over and behind ear) are still around today. It isn't particularly light nor is it heavy. The bulk of the device is on the part that fits behind the ear so it isn't very noticable. It fits rather securely. I like the "boom" style mics as they seem to pick up your voice better. The "sound" piece looks in photos like its supposed to fit into your ear canal, but it actually sits just on the outer "lip" of your ear canal. If you're wearing over a long period of time, the pressure can cause some soreness on that outer portion of your ear canal. The buttons are mixed. The answer/end/voicedial button on the boom is nicely sized and well located. It actuates with a typical microclick (like on a mouse button). The power/volume control, however, is horrendously designed. It is a multifunction button that rotates up, down (for volume control) and presses in (for power). It is TINY and hard use. I have always had a difficult time powering the device on or off because of it.Function:It functions well for an older, cheap bluetooth device. Range is roughly 15-20 feet line-of-sight. Throw in a wall and you are severely reduced. Sound quality is decent. I have no problems listening on the device and volume is adequate. The boom mic works well in most cases. I've used it in the car (with the radio on), out and about (malls, restaurants, etc.) and in quiet locations with superb results. However, in noisy/windy situations, I've been told that my listeners cannot hear me adequately.Back in 2004, I would have given it 4/5 stars. Today, it still deserves 2-3 stars. Find a better headseat out there these days for about the same price.

Noise cancellation was NOT great compared to other competing products. And sound quality was not as good as the motorola's. Seemed a little on the large side. Bumping it made it fall off the ear. Looked good but I'm more into functionality.

I HAVE THIS PAIRED TO AN G'ZONE PHONE BY CASIO. IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT,FITS COMFORTABLY IN YOU'R EAR,IN FACT YOU CAN'T TELL IT'S IN YOUR EAR.THE SOUND QUALITY IS GREAT,IT PAIRS UP EASY. I CAN FIND NOTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT THIS BLUETOOTH AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

I have had many Bluetooth headsets and this one is one of the worse. So far my favorite is still the Voyager 510. This one is really terrible in that it picks up even the slightest background noise despite what Plantronics advertises it as a noise-cancelling headset it is completely the opposite. I even called them and they claimed it was defective and the replacement was no different. I will stick with the trusty Voyager 510.

It is deffinitly worth the money, however sometimes i do hear the static on this bluetooth. not sure if that is because of my phone or the bluetooth headset. I have the razr phone. but i am still happy with it. it is easy to use, one button very convinient, very comfy i do not have to take it off my ear. i think it looks great. thanks

This is my first bluetooth headset. I bought it to connect with my Blackberry. The setup was a snap as it connected immediately with the B'berry. It fits in, then over the ear. It is so light I hardly know I am wearing it. Sound is extremely clear with little or no wind distortion. Call answering is a one button push and call disconnect is one push of the same button. The button can be push up or down to raise or lower volume. A great unit. I plan to buy one for my wife. I understand this model is also iPhone compatible.

I got this as a gift for my fiance who drives truck. He loves it, it works great for him. I on the other hand (as the person who talks to him while he is using it), hate it, it picks his voice up better than his old blue tooth, but it picks everything else up too. When he is not talking, it is very quiet, but when he starts talking it picks up the sound of his truck too. It is very loud, the old blue tooth did not pick up all the background noice.

I have to carry two phone and this is the only Bluetooth Headset I have found that will work with two so I purchased it.It was very quick and simple to pair up and it works quite well. My only complaint is you can not be too far from the phone as the sound quality decreases very quickly. It is very comfortable to were and I can forget it is there.

This is a wireless headset that lives up to its good reviews. Voice quality is excellent as is batttery life. Some of those I've called report they still hear a lot of wind noise when I'm outside, but most say not so. This headset is comfortable and secure.

I am very happy with this device. I have owned a couple of blue tooth pieces and this one is the best for the price so far. it sounds clear and had a good volume. I have paid more for less. It is very comfortable too.Before, people would tell me that the sound of my voice (no blue tooth) was static and low. I have corrected this with this device.

Well this was a great product for about three days, sound was great, easy to pair with my blackberry curve 8310 but unfortueatly it just simply stopped working after three days so alas I cannot recommend the product.
