Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth Headset - Black/ Silver (75859-01)I have used 6 bluetooth headsets and this is my favorite. Comfort, multi-point technology, ease of use and great sound in and out. I am ordering a second one for my wife who could not find a comfortable headset. This one fits us both and after a ton of calls I have not had one complaint about sound quality. We both tried the highly rated Jawbone, but both of us like the 520 better. The Jawbone does have better noise cancelling but the easier controls and comfort of the 520 make up for it. It is also much easier to put on, has great battery life, rugged construction and is a good value. If you carry two phones like I do, the multi-point allows you to pair two devices at the same time. I paired to my BlackBerry and Pantech Duo and can take calls from either one with the touch of the button. If you talk on the phone with a weedeater and a leaf blower beside you, or have trouble turning down the car radio when you get a call, check out the Jawbone. Otherwise save yourself some money and get the 520 Voyager. It's a winner.

I like this bluetooth. I was hesitant for awhile on getting one but since in Calif. its a state law I just went for it. This thing is comfortable fit in my ear.. I hardly notice its there. Its is also loud enough to hear in almost any environment. I dont know how it sounds on the other side but Im happy with it on myside! Plus this price on Amazon.com is about 45% to 50% cheaper than in the stores.

I have tried five or six different blue tooth devices ranging in cost from $65 to $150. None of them were satisfactory. Many were hard to keep connected and/or hard for people to hear me on. This one works great. Also, the stereo works great. I can use it for music while around noisy equipment and hear great. This sells for over $140 at all the retail stores I could find it at. Great product. Great Price.

I've used the Motorola HS850 and the Plantronics Voyager 520, and I've found the Plantronics Voyager 855 to be the best. It fits into the ear like my iPod ear-buds and locks out most ambient noise in the car (a big problem driving on the Interstate near Seattle); now I can consistently hear what others are saying.It is a different experience from the non-earbud type headsets, but I got the hang of it quickly. I also tried using the phone with both ear-buds connected (something I would not do while driving) and it works great. I used both ear-buds to listen to music on my Blackberry, and it works great too. Admitedly, it is not on par with my iPod ear-buds but it is not bad either. It is great to be free of the wire while listening to music and running.

I've only had this bluetooth for a month but so far so good. Sometimes when I'm outside other people have said they have trouble hearing me due to the surrounding noise, but it could just be cars going by or strong winds, which would probably happen with any bluetooth. It's comfortable and easy to use. I would definitely recommend it.

After having a Motorola H700 that croaked after 6-months and paying $99.00 for it, I was pleasantly surprised when I got my Plantronics 520!It works very well in my noisy cross-country environment. I have no trouble being heard or hearing others on this unit. I really liked the idea of multiple pairing! I have a business phone and my personal phone in my vehicle. This unit allows me to be paired to both simultaneously! If the business phone rings, I simply press one button. If my personal phone rings when I am talking on the other, I simply push one button again, hanging up the first call, then press again for the new call on the other phone.I like the fact that it charges quickly and last me all day and believe me, I chatter a lot!I really don't care that it is slightly larger than the Motorola I had. I want functionality without trying to win some bluetooth beauty contest.The Plantronics 520 delivers smashing results! I highly recommendit! AAA+++ Thanks

I had a hard time finding a bluetooth that would work with my htc Pda. I spent $120 on the so called "best bluetooth" the Jaw Bone and I was so glad I was able to return it and get the V'520. It fits either ear great and the vol/answr button works great. No complaints from anybody when i use it when talking(which is the most important thing!)

I have tried the Jawbone II and Plantronics 925 as comparisons. I figured trying the best out there and seeing if they truly were for me. I found the sound quality on both the receiving end and callers end to be superb. If the reception is good, listeners can't tell I'm on a bluetooth.Although there is some very minimal wind cancelling ability, don't expect to jog with the headset and converse as you can only do that in very very minimal wind.Noise cancellation is good but not as good as the jawbone II.Hope this helps.

Great product. After reading the reviews, I booght two a few weeks ago, one for me and the other fo my wife. The sound quality is very good. it fits nice and I love the option to be able to use it with two phones since I use two cell phones, one for the ofice and the other for personal use. We have used it with an Iphone, a Blackberry and and LG. It was very easy to configure it with all of them.

I researched BT's for over a month. They all have 1 to 5 stars as far as reviews, none seem perfect, but I liked what I saw in this headset. Points: Next gen BT 2.0 compatability, the sequel to the popular 510, with multipoint technology, a sleeker design, and easy to use. Took me about an hour to figure out, very simple to use. That button you see in the picture is the multifunction button works for answering (click), pairing (holding down) volume (click up and down like a light switch.) Paired within a minute. Took 2 hours to completely charge. The ear loop is partially made of rubber very comfortable. CNET reviewer liked it alot, only downside was it was bland. I don't think so I think it looks cool and hip. It's base is the size of a small swiss army knife you've seen those not obtrusive at all. Like that jawbone looks pretty in the picture but is obnoxiously huge and plastic and btw got a 41 out of 100 on consumer reports. Only downside I could see is if it's not properly stored it could get damaged, it's very light weight. It comes with a charger and tiny holding stand, but no other replacement ear clips, but the clip itself seems well made. I got it from PC Universe for $52 which includes tax shipping, received in 3 days.

I think that this is a good product. The volume is high enough. I had a Motorola that was way too low. However, I have to agree with some of the other reviews in that sometimes when listening I hear a crackling noise. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it annoying.

I purchased this headset about two months ago and while it took a little getting used to, it compares favorably with the only other headset I've used, the Motorola HS850.Comfort: The soft rubber ear channel and rigid/soft rubber hanger combo allows long term wearing. I sometimes forget it's on. The firmness of the control switch requires more than average pressure to toggle, but it's rigid construction far outweighs any comfort or ease of use concerns.Sound quality: The soft rubber ear piece channels the speaker's sound into the ear canal, and while not a tight fit provides clear and ample volume. In quiet environments the speaker volume can be lowered. The windscreen and noise cancellation features are adequate, but any microphone without a physical windscreen or advanced DSP noise cancellation will transmit "pink noise" to the listener in windy conditions.Battery life: Excellent. While not timed, I charge once every 4-5 days with 2-3 hours talk time per day.Bluetooth range: The only area the Motorola HS850 bettered the 520. Using a Nokia 6682 mobile on AT&T, the phone must stay within about 10 feet of the headset or the signal starts crackling.Construction: This is a well made unit which I can put into my blue jeans pocket without worrying about the case, switch or rubber being abused.Antonline delivered on time and under cost of the other sellers on Amazon.Best value in a head set I could find, and I'm a research-a-holic, highly recommended.

This product really fails to live up to its promise. Here are my complaints:1) I have found the main earpiece to have a maddening habit of getting loose from my ear, even when I'm using one of the over-ear extensions.2) The maximum volume when listening to music is weak, at best. For someone who likes to really crank it up, these will frustrate.3) The cord that goes behind your head connecting the two earpieces frequently gets caught, especially if you are wearing a shirt with a collar, causing one or the other earpiece to get pulled out of the ear.4) The pairing with my TEN naviPlay iPod adapter is fragile and while the headset works fine with either the phone or the iPod, when switching between the two, it tends to get out of synch and start skipping when playing-back music.Now, I mostly just use this device as a bluetooth headset, which it does decently, but not spectacularly. Having had high hopes for this sort of bluetooth headset, and having now tried 2 different models, I'm still waiting for someone to manufacture a truly satisfactory solution.

Purchased the headset to work with iPhone 3G. Syncs immediately when I turn it on. Great sound, no extraneous noises. Call clarity is excellent on both sides of the call. My 3rd headset. Better than Sony Ericsson and way, way, better then my Motorola. Great set at a great price.

This product is not too impressive to me thus far but I only have been using it a lil over a month. I find it's features quirky & design not very practical in that unless it is shoved in one's ear you do not hear very well. Additionally, it loses pairing a lot.

I replaced my Motorola HS850 with a Voyager 520, and it was a great upgrade. It fits and stays on better, it's louder, and it seems to keep a charge longer. I just wish my iPhone was hand-free so I could call via the headset...

I was originally set on buying a Jawbone, but after reading a couple of reviews and recommendations on this headset, I decided to try it out. At half the cost of a Jawbone, I was skeptical. But I'm happy to report that it is a fantastic headset.In addition to all the advanced features listed in the other reviews, the 520 is extremely lightweight and easy to put on. The construction is top notch. Also, I appreciate the ability to view the approximate battery power level every time I power-on the unit.This headset is Bluetooth 2.0 which I believe has a higher data rate capacity. I'm not sure if this helps, but it certainly seems to have better voice quality performance (less static, stronger noise cancellation) than my two previous bluetooth headsets: Plantronics Voyager 510 and Motorola H500.If you intend to be in extremely noisy environments, then the Jawbone may still be the best headset for you. However, if you're looking for a noise canceling headset for light to moderate noise level environments (such as a car with the windows up), then I highly recommend this headset.

I was extremely disappointed with this model. I have had many Plantronics Bluetooth pieces in the past (which I was very happy with) and by far this one is the worst.1. it irritates the ear after 10 -15 minuets of use (often, I just rip it out of my ear)2. its useless if their is background noiseThe only positive thin about the product is that its EZ to use.

The product was difficult to wear, didn't stay in my ear, sounded like I was in a tunnel. What is worse, I sent it back to exchange for the 510 model and a few weeks have past and I haven't received the new product. I would avoid doing business with the independent company who sold this head set.

I was so excited about getting a "convertible" headset. However, this one is just terrible.- The earpiece simple does not fit. It comes with several different sizes and styles of interchangeable ear canal fittings, but not one was comfortable.- The buttons are very hard to use, and as another reviewer mentioned here, pressing the main button jams it into the ear canal. Not comfy.- Sound quality was terrible. Very tinny. Playing music from my PC was even worse than phone calls - very choppy to the point that it was unusable, and I have an upper-end PC.- Not practical. Putting it into your pocket without disassembling it first would destroy it.

I have tried at least 10 different bluetooth headsets; both sound cancelling and non sound cancelling. With most of them it was difficult to hear, or they did not stay in the ear well because the ear loop looked and was flimsy. The Voyager 855 with its tip options provided a good snug fit and the sound is very good. It is slightly more difficult to get connected to my phone than some of the others, but hearing people w/o needing to hold the bud against my ear trumps that. I do not have bluetooth steroe system so I do not know how that par of it works.

I was told this was an excellent product by someone who owns it, So I tried it. After trying two other bluetooth headsets before this, I wanted one that people could finally hear me without background noise. This is not it. Everyone had trouble hearing me on it, saying it was static and scratchy. I think its time to bite the bullet and get a jawbone.

This Bluetooth is the first one I've tried in a couple of years, and after reading reviews I thought it would be better, but, alas, it's not. It's not very comfortable and doesn't fit well in the ear, but, the sound quality is good without me having to turn up the volume. In fact, at times I have to turn the volume down. I don't get complaints from people I'm talking to, so that good. My biggest issue is the phone distance. I can't be more than a couple feet away or I get nothing but static in my ear. I can't even put it in my pocket without getting the "you are too far from your phone" noise. Because of that piece alone, I'd have to say I wouldn't recommend this product and I'm still looking for the perfect Bluetooth!

I have used most top rated headsets; Plantronics 510, Jabra x10, Jawbone, and others. I had the Jawbone for awhile and was pleased at first, until it would not stay on and a little hard to press the button to answer. One day it got wet and that was it. I bought a Plantronics 520 and it fit better and sounds just as good as the Jawbone. I left it in my jacket and put it in the wash on accident. I thought it was dead, but I put it on the charger for two days, and it worked. It has been working ever since. Maybe I got lucky. I just know it works after going thru an entire wash cycle. I'm sold on the 520. Good job plantronics.
