Be warned: there is a bit of a learning curve, more so than most devices. You have to read the instructions to know how to program, rename, and connect the individual phones and features. To make a call, I had to read the directions before understanding...and I'm a device geek!

THEY JUST TOLD BUY NEW BATTERIES WORTH RS 800... THEY ARE JUST MAKING YOU FOOL AGAIN AND AGAIN. PLEASE DONT BUY 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have yet to use the link to cell function. I mostly use the speaker phone. I have learned to just set the phone down on it's back because it falls over easily. Sometimes, there's static on the line but I don't know if it's the phone or my service provider.
One thing's for sure is that these phones do not function properly. There are times when the phone will have a "busy" or some other error message and I have to put it back on the base for it to function again. The talk time is much lower than the listed benefits and I have learned to keep three phones charging at all times for back up. Often, people cannot hear me at all.
There are features that were on their older and less expensive phones but I don't have the patience to remember them all. However, I really miss having the option of an actual redial list instead of just the last call dialed.

This item connects my cell via Bluetooth to two handsets. I have one next to the bed and another on the desk. Now when someone calls my cell, it rings merrily downstairs AND upstairs.
It also imported all my cell phone contacts into its database.
The only part I found to be difficult was setting up favorite numbers. I called Panasonic and the chat guy worked me through it.

The "link2cell" feature is a complete disappointment for me, because my phone, and many of the newer phones, aren't supported. Samsung S4 and later? Nope. And we all use Samsung phones in my family. Ok, how about LG? None of the later models. iphone7? Still no. So if you really care, find the compatible phone list (do a web search, it's not easy to find on the Panasonic site).
Fortunately, that feature wasn't a big deal for me, I thought it would be nice to have, and I was getting it "free", considering that all I wanted was a good 5 phone cordless set.
Otherwise, this is a pretty good set at what I consider a reasonable price.

Checked on different lines and on other handset is coming fine

For the most part, I love Panasonic cordless phones. I have yet to buy one that did not perform to exceedingly high expectations. I really don't have any complaints about the performance of these phones. They work very well out of the box, though I must admit, there can be a huge learning curve in all the menu commands --- especially when it comes to keyboard shortcuts to getting the things you want to be accomplished with the phone.
But here is the rub....
I suppose, like anything else, Panasonic keeps making their phones dumber than the last model. The build quality diminishes while great features are taken away. Instead of building quality phones with first-rate feature sets, Panasonic is more interested in making cheaper phones to attract more buyers.
I remember a time when the Panasonic cordless phones had a flashing light on the antenna to alert people of awaiting phone messages. That feature disappeared about 2-3 years ago. While I understand Panasonic did away with the little nub antenna with the light, this was a feature that could easily have been incorporated into the base. I have been wanting to replace my Mother's aging Panasonic cordless phone for years, but the fact that they took away that flashing notification light is the reason why I can't. My Mother depends on it.
Next, up until this year, the phones came with little belt clips that snapped on the back of the phone. This way you could carry the phone around with you on your belt if you were expecting a call. Panasonic no longer includes those belt clips.
Next, the base has become lighter. Not a good thing as it easily can be tipped over. It's certainly not as heavy as the bases included with past models.
Finally, if you could believe it, these phones used to come with input jacks that you could plug a headset into the module. Imagine that! Well, that option disappeared long ago as Panasonic continued to dumb these phones down.
The main point I am making here is that Panasonic is continuing to dumb down these cordless phones. They feel cheaper in quality and they lose accessories and/or features with each new release. There is also the fact that an extra handset costs more than half the price of the entire phone set itself is another major sticking issue. $50 for an extra handset when the system itself can be had for just under $100 from some vendors. That is ridiculous.
There are a few pluses here....
First, Panasonic has made it much easier to block phone calls. There is an addition of a CALL BLOCK button on the face of the handset that you can just press when an unwanted phone number is displayed. You can also go into the menu, review your list of phone calls, and press the block button. It still takes waaaaay too many steps to block calls using the menu method and I wish Panasonic would make that effort a little easier. I can understand how to do it, but I am not sure the elderly will. Too many steps.
Next, there is integration with Amazon Alexa an Google Voice which is a nice feature.
It also works with the Dect 6.0 extender (KX-TGA405B1) that I had previously attached to last year's cordless phone model. For less than $25, I highly recommend this extender device as it allows you to double the range of your cordless phone. I have a large yard and I can walk around it and talk on the phone with no signal degradation.
I don't use the answering machine as I have Verizon Fios Voice Mail. The answering machine feature is nice, but if you don't want it, it can easily be disabled.
Hearing volume on the handset and via speakerphone is fine. No problems hearing the person on the other end.
Otherwise, this year's model looks pretty much like the previous year. Again, no major cosmetic changes but you do lose the belt clips.
If Panasonic is reading this, I hope they understand that they need to go back to making these phones superior to other brands by offering better voicemail alerts (a flashing base light would be great), heavier bases that don't tip over, and the inclusion of belt clips.
This is not meant to be a scathing review. My negativity is towards what things were lost from previous models. However, I do highly recommend this particular set for 2017/2018. They are quality phones despite the cheaper build.

No speaker.
No dial pad light.
No Alarm.
Normal ringtones.

Only four stars because I would prefer the handsets to be heavier; they are lightweight and feel like I'm going to throw one over my shoulder when I pick it up. My prior phone was a Toshiba dinosaur that worked beautifully. The handset was about 8" long and weighed almost 12 ozs. It still works, but I wanted more handsets around the house AND the caller ID feature.
Overall, I like this Panasonic system now, and will like it even better when I learn more of its features..
PS - There is a lovely, soft piano ring tone that has become our favorite. The anti-ringing phone has stopped me from grinding my teeth every time a call comes in.

Good point : compact and lightweight.
Takes very less space.

So Far so good. Just got mine setup. Bought Rose Gold. Lovely Color! I replaced a VTech System. The extensions for the VTech System always failed and battery packs were $60! This one uses 4 AAA Rechargeable batteries, 2 in each handset. Hopefully the extensions will work as well as the base system. The only issue I might have is if the power goes out. There's no battery backup for the answering unit so I don't know if once the power comes back on if it will save the settings and messages that were there when the power went out. I will update this if that should happen. I like the sytems very much. Quick ship! Reasonably priced. You can buy additional handsets to add on up to 6 more. UPDATE: The power went out twice this morning!!! Luckily, the phone saved the messages and all the previous settings I inputed!! I'm very satisfied now to know this! Great System!
