Oh yeah, the talking caller id on this phone system I have been impressed with it is almost always recognizable as to who its announcing.
Just to have the simple joy of an always on, straight forward phone with a super loud ringer and lots of options but none of the weird gyrations, low battery, misplacement etc. worries makes this my purchase of the year.

1. When you let the answering machine pickup an incoming phone call you don't have to jog to the base station to monitor the message being left by the calling party. You can set up things up so that all remote handsets can monitor the message being left as well.
2. And the most important feature in a world of unwanted, unsolicited and mostly unstoppable robo calls is the BLOCK CALLS feature of this phone system. I've found that the "Do Not Call" list mechanisms provided by the gov't are almost universally ignored by telecall centers. And complaining to the government agencies is even more useless. Before I dropped my Verizon Landline service I could only block 5 telephone numbers and when I switched to my cable provider's phone service I could only block 20. Luckily this phone system allows you to block up to 250 different phone numbers. You can also set the phone to "no ring" when a blocked number is received. My home phone has been blissfully quiet. I only have to add a few new annoying numbers each week. This feature alone is worth the price of the phone.

Bluetooth sound crackles. Older model easier to navigate menu, more steps required to perform specific functions. Battery life poor.
The older model shines in comparison for ****basic phone features****. This seems to be trend with most new products these days, cheaper construction, lower build quality.
Added 02-15-2018 Bluetooth audio crackles and has so much static noise that the voice sounds completely garbled. Unusable feature.

The last set was just ok. After a few years, I decided to upgrade again, hoping the newest model would improve connection and sound quality and got these.
They are THE WORST.
Terrible reception (even 15’ from base), noise and static in the call, frequently the handset just goes dead and cuts off the call! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I used to be a HUGE fan of this company’s phone but now I’m done.

its waste of money and time.

For the past two years I have owned Panasonic's TG-5566 5.8 Dect phone with multiple handsets. This was a powerhouse of a cordless phone system complete with a nice color screen and flashing antenna when calls and voicemail arrived.
I wanted to upgrade because the 5.8 phone just wouldn't cover my large property. If I wanted to walk the dog and talk outside, I couldn't because of the lack of range. I couldn't even talk on my deck, located on the opposite end of the house from the base unit.
I was eyeing the TG7875S for a long time, but hesitated to upgrade. First, it had no color screen that I could upload a picture to (my old phone was able to accomplish that). Next, it had no flashing light antenna to indicate new voice messages. Thirdly, reading the Amazon reviews from actual owners, I got the idea that this would be sort of a downgrade to all the "bells and whistles" that Panasonic had put into their older phones.
I am so happy that I took a leap of faith and ordered the KX-TG7875S
Been using it for a week now, and I must say, I love it more than my previous phone system.
First of all, before you even buy the phone it's a good idea to do a Google search for the manual to get an idea of all the things you can do with this phone. That being said, I was a bit fearful of all the menu codes mentioned in the manual that gave a person quick access to primary functions. How in the hell would I remember all these codes? Well, rest assured, everything is easily accessible through the phone's handset navigation screen. Play around with it a little, and you'll find that you can easily access any function of the phone within seconds from the navigation screen.
The best thing about the Dect 6.0 is its range. I get far more range across my property with this phone than I did with the older. However, I still can't get a signal to the far end of the property. That problem was remedied when I purchased the TGA405B range extender. What a remarkable little unit that thing is. It almost doubled the signal and allows me to walk to the edges of my property without any signal loss. I'll talk more about this device again in a moment.
I read complaints about Speakerphone and handset volume. I had none of these issues. Both work well, and there are controls to raise the volume on both. The base unit has a built-in answering machine, but I turned it off since I subscribe to voice mail service. For those subscribers like myself, you will obviously by dismayed by the fact there are no flashing lights to indicate a new voice message is awaiting you, however, a message is clearly displayed across the base and handset that a new voice mail message is waiting.
Link2Cell works wonderfully -- much better than what I was using previously. When I had the older Panasonic phone I bought a xLINK device that would plug into the phone line and pair a cell phone. It was bluetooth based, like the new Link2Cell, but it had very limited range. I was amazed at how much better range the bluetooth coverage is on this phone. It easily linked with my iPhone 6 Plus. The base station is located on a top floor, at the opposite end of a large home. However, upon entering the front door, my iPhone automatically links with the base station. It's incredible, because with the previous device I was using, it would only link up if I was in the adjoining room. So bravo to this unit for its bluetooth range.
So, yes, once you have your cell phone linked up, when that phone rings, so does your Panasonic phone system. Even caller ID from the cell phone is forwarded to the Panasonic display screen. Call quality is very good, but of course, dependent upon how strong your cell phone signal is. I have dead spots in my home so the quality of the calls from my cell phone vary.
What I really love is when someone sends a text message to my iPhone and I get a notification on my Panasonic phone. It's really cool to hear the Panasonic phone ring and a voice say "Text Message."
So, essentially, the Panasonic TG7875S allows you leave your cell phone in its charger and completely forget about it when you are home. Your cell phone calls will be forwarded to the base and handsets. If you get a text message, you will be notified of it.
I knew I didn't need 5 handsets (I actually needed only 4), but I put a spare away just in case one ever fails. The handsets can be customized with individual names such as "Ron Office" or "Living Room." Intercom functionality allows you to call from one handset at one end of the house to another. I also believe (though I have not tested this) that someone can pick up a handset and join someone on another handset in a single call.
Panasonic has introduced two great add-ons to this phone that I think is well worth considering. The first is something I previously mentioned in this review: the TGA405B range extender. It will literally almost double the signal strength of your cordless phone system. So, if you have a large yard and wish to have the ability to walk it and talk it, then this is a must purchase accessory. It costs just under $30. Next, is the TGA20B Key Detector. Clip it on your keychain and use your Panasonic handset to locate your keys if you have misplaced them. The device is nice and small, but my only complaint is that the "chirp" from it could be louder. Thankfully, the Panasonic handset gives you increased/decreased signal strength as you approach (or walk away from) the keys. So even if you can't initially hear the "chirp" of the device the Panasonic phone should be able to guide you there.
I think I have covered everything. Just want to again say that this is a remarkable phone system. With the addition of the range extender and the keychain finder, it becomes an INCREDIBLE phone system. So happy I didn't take the less than stellar reviews to heart and bought this phone system.

I must say I'm a bit disappointed on a few things:
1) The "menu" system is truly archaic. Most of what you want/need to do requires you to find the manual and enter like ## and then some 3-4 digit code that's not obvious. My Uniden has 99% of its features accessible via the menu button and you can easily drill down and turn things on and off. Not so on this phone. Probably 90% of the features require you to use the weird set of codes for doing things.
2) The bluetooth/cell link quality is subpar. My first thought was that it was my iPhone 6s. But a brand new Samsung Galaxy S8+ has the same issue. The old Uniden doesn't seem to have the problem. The issue is that, regardless of where you place the base station (even same spot as where my old Uniden was at), or how far the cell phones are from the base station, when you call using the Cell link feature, you get random static/pops and an echo. Using the "landline" (Verizon VOIP) the call quality is crystal clear. Doesn't matter which phone extension you use either, so I'm not sure if it's just a buggy/bad base station or what. Cell service is T-Mobile using Wi-Fi (I've tried using strict 4G LTE as well, no difference).
On the Plus side, the caller id w/voice and the ability to set distinctive phone ringers is good, and you can be talking on either the landline and another cell phone, or both cell phones at the same time (via the Panasonic phones), so it's convenient in that regard.
Note that the iPhone 6s doesn't support the bluetooth phone book protocol that allows you to sync selective contacts to the Panasonic Phone. You have to sync ALL of them. But this is an Apple issue, not a Panasonic issue, AFAIK.

I’ve had it in service for less than a week and already I love this new phone.
Tired of being harassed by telemarketers and scammers, I replaced a perfectly functional phone system with this one. It has several improved features:
Larger capacity for both contacts (3000) and blocked numbers (150) - I had run out of space for blocked numbers
Easier call blocking - 2 keystrokes: push the “Call Block” key on the keypad then confirm and the call is terminated and blocked. The procedure on the old phone was more cumbersome.
Automatic blocking of any call that does not have a Caller ID (Unknown, Out of Area, Unavailable, etc.)
Ability to suppress the 1st ring (while system is deciding whether to block the call). This prevents being interrupted by blocked calls - they are blocked without the phone ever ringing.
Better diction and pronunciation of announced calls. My old phone was almost unintelligible.

i hope it works well after that. The sound quality is with bit noise. rest all ok if you need cordless.

Have been a PANA fan since cordless phones started.
Use to be the best cordless ever, NOT anymore.
This is my 2nd Panasonic return in 2 months.
Tried a refurb first then brand new. Both have same problem that my existing does NOT have.
Dial a number that has a menu, such as help line, electric company, cable company, conference line etc.
When the menu says press a number....nothing....just nothing
On speaker you can hear you pressed the number but the receiving party is NOT receiving the signal...
Sounds weird I know...but four different numbers I use regularly such as a dial in conference line simply do not work.
Old phones work fine.
PANA help blamed it on my phone company, then blamed it on bad power, and anything else they could think of....you get the picture.
I wanted a solution NOT excuses, just want it fixed but all I got was excuses.
Keeping our older 7741 and just hope PANA gets this sorted out before my last two headsets die.
On a side note, Amazon return was simply awesome, my first return after ordering for more years than I can count.

This is probably a good phone technologically speaking, but the manual refers constantly to other pages, which refer back to either the page you just left, or a third page. Confusing at best and extremely frustrating.
This might be a top-rated unit, but until they figure out how to write instructions clearly, they will not get another nickel of my business. This phone is going back today. instructions are Crap with a capital C. Good luck, Panasonic, in straightening out the tripwires that snare and anger many customers needlessly.

Otherwise ok.

And with the price of the bundle I just bought two 3-handset bundles and paired all six to one base, using the other base as only a charger. Pairing Bluetooth to the phones was simple. We thought it was going to be perfect.
Good: The good news is all that worked. Sort of. We could speak from any of the handsets on either of the phones, even conference two handsets on a call. My address book synced with the base so we had caller ID. All cool.
Ugly: The instructions were very picky about how far the cell phone had to be from the base. If it's too far, it's understandably scratchy, too close and it doesn't work, they said. I found it actually worked with the phones in the cars--25 feet or so from the base. At least some times.
Bad: 1) But it drops calls. The wife talks to her sister for half an hour at a time. Okay. The cell phone doesn't mind this, but somehow this system does...it doesn't drop the call but somewhere along the line it loses the Bluetooth connection. Screaming ensures. Now you may blame Apple for this--the Bluetooth implementation is definitely funky in some cases--but whoever is at fault, if you use this thing with an iPhone, be prepared for frustration.
2) The base units randomly and repeatedly power cycle, which causes the call to drop and makes an annoying beep. This started happening immediately on install so I swapped bases. It was ok for a week or so and started happening on the second one. Well, that was the final straw. Unplugged and back in the box. This was a good idea, that, after 3 months of trying, just didn't work for us.

Sleek n sturdy!!
Great range and battery backup!!
Though base is small it has a locator button!!
