Timely and for a 9 year old, that's important. Some products sell too fast and ordering in advance of a products release is a great way to guarantee keeping a promise.

I had bought the Nintendo Wii Bundle (Black) with Remote Motion Plus last Thanksgiving, and have been a fan from Day 1. The bundle came for $150 plus a $50 credit. The bundle comes with only one set of remote plus and nanchuk, so I put the $50 to buy the second pair (that's the only pricey part). Wii Sports and Sports Resort DVDs are part of the bundle and enough games and training sessions to keep you occupied for a year! When I bought the bundle again as a gift for a friend 6 months back, its price had come down to $140. While recently when I purchased it for my in-laws, it had kind-of increased to $170. There is speculation that Nintendo is trying to get rid of the current inventory and coming up with something new this Thanksgiving, so perhaps that's why the price went up (low inventory). Otherwise the value for money is complete in comparison with PS3 (no motion remote to give you some exercise). XBox Kinect is exciting, but buggy as it is version 1. Deals in Amazon have been the best buy. Would most recommend this buy!

I've wanted the Wii ever since it came out. But, I had less time I have now and it was expensive and I like to wait until they get cheap(er). It would be perfect if it came in silver, but black works. I'm completely satisfied, it advertised new and arrived new. It shipped pretty fast too considering it was a Christmas present and ordered weeks before the holiday. I like the motion sensor built in and kid-like animation. I've never been into XBOX and i'm fine with my PS2. I like making my own Mii people and the elevator music (as I like to call/label it) when downloading things or during various activities in the "home" screen. It's not a gaming system for everyone, especially hardcore "killer" gamers with their zombie games and Call of Duty. But, if you don't care about that, like I don't...it's perfect for you! Cheaper too!

So, Nintendo's keeping us hyped for their upcoming games and Wii U system, but what could be a better way than re-releasing the Wii for a smaller price than how much it costed back when it launched? Well....being able to play Gamecube games on it. That's right, this is a new unit with the lack of Gamecube controller inputs.Wanna use Gamecube controllers for Wii games? Too bad. Wanna play Gamecube games? Too bad! Wanna be able to play certain Wii games that utilize the controller inputs. TOO BAD! You aren't going to get any of that with this Wii system! Why Nintendo decided to strip away all Gamecube features is extremely questionable.If I were you, I'd go get the original Wii, which is perhaps the same price as this dud.

I hate when this happens:Purchased as a replacement for another one that was defective. This one from a different vendor. I trusted the product photos and Amazon. But got something without a brand name, no logo, nothing.I'm just waiting for this to get broken pretty soon.

We have been playing our Wii and having a good time until the system stopped reading discs. No problem, we just purchased a new one and thought we were good to go! We spent about $300.00 on game/song downloads from the Wii shop on our original system and found that they are no longer usable on our new system. Anything you save to memory such as purchases from the Wii shop, downloaded content, game saves, etc. is coded and not transferrable to another system. Every time your Wii breaks, you have to contact Nintendo and send it in for repair at a cost of $75.00 (or more) and 3-4 weeks in order to keep your data. You can also forget about upgrading to the latest version and keeping your data! Both Xbox and Playstation allow you to transfer data to your new console if anything happens to your original or you upgrade. We purchased an Xbox 360 and sold all our Wii games!

Why wouldn't you love this system?? You can play all your old Gamecube games on it!! Its physically interactive and the whole family can play. There are many games for the Wii (granted, not all of them are worth the money) that will have you playing it whenever you get the chance. I know Xbox 360 and PS3 are the most popular and have similar attachments to the Wii but you cant top Nintendo when you're in search of something Nintendo-y.

Wii Sports is a good, fun game. Fun by yourself or with friends and family. Sometimes the motion controls can be a bit touchy, though. Overall just plain fun. -Trent Foreman, Author of Nightmare

You know you're a video geek and need to get out more when you read some of these reviews. This system is just fine. It does what it set out to do, and does it well. It is a Wii system that supports games made for the Wii system. And the games are fun and the sensory action works great. All movements made are caught. This system has entertained all in our family ranging from 10 to 80! Not bad!! So...relax. If you are looking for a fun little system to dance with (Just Dance 3) or to bowl, tennis, (Sports or Resort) etc., pick this one up. It's affordable and a nice little compact addition to one's entertainment systems. And for those that are so sensitive about the lack of what they think should be going on in a game, get out of the house and try REAL reality...go to a bowling alley and play a real game...toodles!

If you love Nintendo,and Mario,then this is a great buy.And for only $150,you cant beat it.Buying all this individually wills set you back more money,when you can get Mario kart Wii/plus Wii Wheel,and a brand new Black Wii for only $150Game Play:The Game Play can vary from game to game,but Nintendo thought ahead and made Mario Kart Wii compatible with not only the Wii Remote/Nunchuck,and Wii Wheel,but you can also connect the Nintendo Classic Controller to the Wii Remote,or use a good ole Gamecube Controller(which plays great as well). The controls are very classic and improved for the latest installment of Mario Kart Wii,so having fun shouldn't be hardOnline Game Play:Now dont worry parents,this is a completely safe game for little Timmy or Ashley to play online with.No Headsets,and ways to exchange Friend Codes,so their good to go,and as long as you monitor them so they dont get them off a Computer or Mac by using Facebook,youtube,google,and many other sites.Sorry Kids gotta look out for safety.As for Those responsible Teens,Kids,and Adults,this is a great online experience.The Races and events run very smoothly even if your using a Wi-Fi Connection instead of a Wired Ethernet connection.Mario Kart Channel:Also by using the Mario Kart Wii Channel,you can keep track of New Tournaments offered Free by Nintendo,Check your Friends List,Race Challenging Ghosts,and much more,even without the Mario Kart Disc being in the system.Bottom Line:Even though a new Nintendo Console(Wii 2) is coming out next year,this system will still sell great worldwide,and its very entertaining and fun for everyone.

This Nunchuck shorted out within 5 hours of use by an adult. I now have to keep the wire rubber banded to the WiiMote so the wire pulls up slightly just to avoid "Reconnect Nunchuck" messages from coming up. I would return it but I didn't keep the packaging.

If you do not have this product I WOULD buy it now because buying the wii would be the best thing I have ever bought and buying it would be one of the best day of my life.I let my family play with it, ones a 10 year old and the other one is a 50 year old and they all love it. Even my grandparents like it.Also with the remotes they are really great and now with the motion plus you don't have to worry about being out of range. The other thing great selling point is you can stall about 10 miis in them so when you go to your friends house you can take your remote and import the miis into your friends wii unstead of creating another one. The botton lay out is also convenient on the remote, especialy the home botton. The last thing on the remote is when you are playing games like driving using the sensor you feel like you are really driving a car because they have done it really well.Additionally connecting the internet to your wii is well worth it using because it has alot of thought in it and is even better than a computer. To me the weather channel is my favourite.One of the things about the Wii wich I like is the way it looks. It looks clean and simplely beautiful.The other good thing is that the wii presents the photos well and it makes it fun to watch. It also has some preloaded music to go along with the photos. At the end of the videos the Wii lets you play the videos on the SD card backward wich can be funny and entertaining to watch.The games on on the Wii are really good such as Mario Kart and Mario Galaxy 2.This comes to the end of my review. I was recently in the market to buy a used WII for my niece who is just starting to show interest in video games. I thought of the ever so popular game stop, first, and attempted to buy a pre-owned system from them. The quality of the components they buy back from customers is terrible!! It seems as if they just package things as they come. The controllers were in bad shape and looked like a dog had chewed them. Needless to say I was not satisfied and returned the product. I took a chance on this particular pre owned-system and just "took their word for it" so to speak as far as the condition it was in. I could not have been more satisfied with the quality and condition of this product. I would recommend buying a preowned wii from this seller to anybody. A++++

The Wii is fantastic! You get to do a lot of things in it such as using the internet,playing games you already bought, playing games, downloading games on the Wii but it takes up space on it if you download games. If you like to get games for free you better get a lot of space and a SD card because it takes up a pack load of space. The internet is amazing, you can watch most of your favorite YouTube videos on a bigger screen. It has other features like checking your email when you want to. It is simply amazing.Playing games you bought already is great to if you like racing,war, adventure, action, sports, learning[not too many of those in that topic though], scary, and much more it would be a great system to play games on it.

Okay so I am a full time student, live with my parents, have not found a job in a couple of years (thanks America). So I have had the Original Xbox since the year 2001. Had it for 7 years and my mom bought a Nintendo Wii.
I was like why mom Nintendo has kiddie games like Mario Party and Wii Sports! Which I must say those games are pretty fun to play.
Nowadays the Nintendo Wii is not just for kids anymore. With titles like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops the Nintendo Wii has surpassed all expectations!
WHen it comes to graphics, the Wii is not the best. Except when it comes to Call of Duty 4,Call of Duty Black Ops, Zelda Twilight Princess. Its not the same as HD Consoles but its pretty darn good!
Wii Pros:
Cheapest System.
Additional Memory is Cheap (unlike Xbox 360 and PS3)
Free Online (unlike Xbox 360)
Wireless controllers (unlike Xbox 360 and PS3)
Motion sensor system (Xbox Kinect costs $$150 and so does PlayStation move)
No serious problems (no red light of death like Xbox360)
Both family and adult games
Talk to your team mates Online in Call of Duty: Black Ops with Wii Speak
Puts you inside the game: swing your arm = swing Link's sword, shake the nun chuck = reload your weapon in Call of Duty, turn the controller = turn the steering wheel of a car.
Can play Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube games all on the Wii (additional controller may be required)
Wii Cons:
Graphics for many Wii games are not good. (research games first before buying)
May experience lag in Online games
No Blue-Ray

I have not had a serious problem with the Wii since we got it like 3-4 years ago. All games run fine, all controller work. All controllers are wireless.
As you can see from my review, the Wii has many more PROS than CONS.
If you don't have $500 for a new system and games, Nintendo Wii is the Best Option.

I am NOT happy with this product. It was really great fun starting out but I had problems with it right from the start. Even though it said I was connected to the internet on it I could not get Wii Shop to download Netflix. After Nintendo customer service helping get it downloaded I was able to watch one movie and halfway through it froze. Then it started freezing up during games. Then..last but not least it started a loud humming noise and went to just a blank gray screen. I was very disappointed and could not get help from Nintendo or anywhere else over the weekend. I should have bought it from Walmart who would guarantee it to work and offer extended warranty. Please be careful purchasing on here. I just was sure it would have a warrenty or be guranteed at least for a year. WHAT A STUPID mistake on my part. The company that I bought from does not honor it after only seven days. If it tears up then you are "SOL"!!!! I just am so mad at myself for being so dumb. I have always bought lots of products and items from Amazon for the past eight years. Now I am rethinking whether I will even bother with Amazon anymore. If I do not get this replaced by the company (still without a warrenty or a guarantee) I will be out almost $200. That is a shame since money doesn't come easy these days and we decided to buy the Wii and numerous games and Wii Fit Plus and forgo any vacation and take only a few day trips this summer. I guess I can mark this one up as "Geez am I Stupid or What" Just be careful people...read everything from the company before you purchase. I just expected more from Amazon than this. I am sure people are getting duped and don't realize it until it is too late! I won't stop with just a review....I will review and speak out every site I can find. I hope that they realize that I don't like getting screwed....it will be the last time though!

I needed a spare Nunchuck controller and got this one. Working like a charm so far. My son has a blue wii controller while my daughter has a pink one - both original from Nintendo. Wish the Nunchuck controller came in pink as well from Nintendo. There are several from third parties - but haven't seen one from Nintendo.

This product came in earlier then expected which was great but, the product that came in was suppose to be black but the product showed up with the remote and nunchuk being white and not part of the original game so the game did not recognize the white components so I could not use any of the games that required the use of the nunchuk with out additionally purchasing a motion plus adaptor.. will not purchase from this seller again, although I love the game I would have purchased this from someone else who was more honest with their description of what the were sending.

there are some Wii games (not just old gamecube games) you won't be able to play on this unit. like, games that use a mat. there doesn't seem to be any adapters to connect them, so make sure you check what kind of connection games like that use before buying. from the nintendo site, these games either won't work or will have limited functionality-
