We had a PS2 before (still do), but the Wii really hits the sweet spot in terms of family fun and playability. The Sports Resort game it comes with makes good use of the Motion Plus controllers. I personally got the biggest kick out of the archery game, but all of the games were fun. We later bought Guitar Hero 5 Stand Alone Software, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which were both terrific values -- hours and hours of play.

(Ok, I don't why this product is rated like a game, but I gave it five stars for 'fun' just because it was fun for me to get a better picture!)
This cable is perfect for its intended use and is a fraction of the cost retailers are selling the Wii Component Cable for. I wanted this to improve the quality of video streamed from Netflix on my Wii to my HDTV and this does a great job. Because the current Wii system doesn't actually support full HD, using a cable like this one will get you about as close as you can get. The picture is vastly improved with this compared to the standard composite cables that come with the Wii. Save yourself a little money and get this cable. It's a quick, easy and most importantly, cheap upgrade!

I love this game! It has something for everyone in my family! Even my 2 year old son can play, He loves the sword fighting game and he is better then i am haha, But i would highly recommend this game, for anyone! It truly has something for anyone of any age :D

I am seriously surprised there are not 1000's of reviews on this console! Well, as if anyone did not know, this is the best gaming system for families, as I have, but also so much fun for when you have a few friends over. We absolutely love inviting over our best friends for a "Wii Night", where we spend several hours playing all the party style games this console has to offer. Besides that, for all you "old schoolers" out there like my husband, you can download the classic Nintendo and Sega games you loved back in the day right to the system via the Nintendo shop channel. The prices are super reasonable, too, as we bought the classic super mario bros for only $5.00! And they have sooo many others, too, and adding more everyday. And my 9 year old son spends hours on it, more if we'd let him, and it is always quality games that I trust to be young eyes and ears safe. Also it plays Netflix movies right from the console, which we love to do. I considered the PlayStation 3 and the XBox360 when deciding on this purchase, but I wouldn't now. I am super pleased with my decision! But, then, I have a child. While most of the games are geared towards the younger members of society, there really are tons of games for adults as well. I also just bought the wii fit plus bundle, but I won't be able to try it out until I officially receive it for Christmas, but that is just another reason to love this system.I know some people are raving about the XBox360 and their new motion thing, and about not having to hold a controller, but personally, I have never found a reason that holding a controller was hard or difficult to use. I feel Nintendo was the original and you'd be hard-pressed to change my opinion that the original is best! Copycats may come around and "fix" this issue or that, but it is really all up for discussion whether these "issues" needed fixed or not. Or were they just trying to cash in on the big thing they totally missed out on in the first place?

Had purchased a generic nunchuk prior to this and saved, what, six bucks or something, and it lasted maybe 8 months and dead. This is with what I'd call pretty light use by our kids, and absolutely NO slamming it around. The original OEM nunchuk that came with the Wii continues on without any problems, so I'm hoping that this OEM performs as the other we have.

This should be called wii bowling because it's the only playable portion of this game. Golf is garbage. Tennis is trash. Baseball is B.S. and boxing is boring. Apparently this used to come with the wii. I wouldve hated getting this with the system as it wouldve made me return the entire package and get something that didnt suck. Maybe if you are 6-10 years old you may enjoy this but any person who likes video games because they are fun stay away from this mess.

A few good games, but in all reality there is little to no replay value here.Great use of Mii's but I don't think that is a good enough reason to pay for games most people aren't going to play more than once or twice.The only game I think most people will play more than a few times is billiards. It actually feels like a comleted game that you can enjoy occasionally. many of the other games feel like they had small budget and were in a hurry to get them out in time for this compilation.I understood why people bought this when it was packaged with a remote, I know I got suckered in to it.As a standalone set of games, Wii Play is severely lacking.

I love the wii. It's fun and easy and the whole family can join in. My grandmothers both loved it. One of my grandmothers had even bought herself one. She was sick with cancer, but could still play it from time to time. Bowling is an all time family favorite.

Just ignore the other Nunchuk controllers on here, as this is the official Nintendo one, and in most cases, first party controllers are the best ones to get, unless you're looking for something extra (programmable buttons, etc.) It fits comfortably in your hand, the analog stick moves around just fine- it's not too tight, and not too lose. One of my problems with the PlayStation controllers ever since they got the analog sticks years ago was that they just feel too lose. To me, the best analog stick was on the Xbox Controller S, from the previous console generation, but the GameCube's was pretty good too. That's exactly how the Wii Nunchuck's analog stick is, and I don't have any complaints about it. It has an octagon gate, as you can tell in the picture. The cord that connects to the Wii Remote is the perfect size, though it takes a while for it to straighten out after being bundled up in the packaging for so long. And of course the buttons on the back are easily accessible. I really don't have any complaints about how this thing functions for the games it's needed for.If I don't have any problems with how it works, why'd I take a star off the rating? This thing just plain feels too light, and I'm always scared that I'm going to crush it on accident when playing a tough level in Donkey Kong Country Returns, or just by dropping it. This sucker almost feels weightless, and I prefer a little heft in my controller, but that's just me.For something that isn't really necessary for the Wii, but might as well be, this attachment's priced right, and should last you a while. Now if only they'd get other colors aside from the boring black and white.

Please do not waste your money on this overrated gaming console. I should've known it was going to be crap when I found out it doesn't even play DVDs(as every other gaming console does). From controllers that work only when they feel like it to the lack of consistent wireless network connection, this is quite possibly the worst product ever put out by Nintendo. I will be satisfied with this product when it is in a million tiny pieces after I've smashed it up.

My family and I received this product yesterday and it works great!!! I was a little concerned because I purchased it in "like new" condition, but we have had no problems. Will purchase from this seller again.

I ordered a replacement disk for Wii Sports original disk because I like the games. I hear you must take the disks out when not using or they wear out.

This is one of the first Wii games I purchased about 4.5 years ago, and I am still loving it. My wife and I love to play this against my parents (who live in another city). We call them on the speaker phone and play against each other. I also played it quite a bit against my brother while he was stationed out of state in the military. I probably play a few rounds after work at least once a week.I just hope Nintendo comes out with a new version and tracks soon--maybe they could make some tracks downloadable through the internet. It would be fun to race with some newer features.

The Nintendo Wii is perfect for the casual market, which it seems like that was the purpose of the console in the first place. The thing is that that is disappointing considering that Nintendo used to be a primarily hardcore oriented platform, but for everyone else, you are assured a great time. Motion controls, especially with the wii remote plus, are pretty spot-on. They're certainly more accurate than what is found with the Kinect, but nowhere near as 1:1 accurate or precise as the move. Overall, the wii remote plus does the job nicely, and the library is comprised of many party gams perfect for families. Here is an overview of most of the good games and software on this platform. Wii overview: Virtual Console, Wiiware, internet browser, everybody votes, check mii out, (the 3 following games are the only decent titles with Wii motion plus support) Wii Sports: Resort, Red Steel 2, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword & Twilight Princess, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Epic Mickey, No More Heroes 1 & 2, Zack & Wicki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, Madworld, Sin & Punishment 2, Metroid Prime: Trilogy, Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 (the first Super Mario Galaxy may just be the best game ever made), (the rest of this list has online multiplayer) Call of Duty: World at War, Modern Warfare, & Black Ops, Boom Blox 1 & 2, Super Smash Bos. Brawl, GoldenEye 007, and Monster Hunter Tri. Overall though, the system just isn't my cup of tea. I did get to experience Monster Hunter Tri, Metroid Prime: Trilogy, and Super Mario Galaxies 1 & 2 so that's a definite bonus, but the 360 and especially the PS3 have much better libraries suited for hardcore gamers, especially those that want good online experiences. Anyways, if you're a casual gamer, this is a definite purchase.

There was supposed to be a remote and nunchuck w/ this order. Also - there is no a/v cable (even though your product details on the invoice that came w/ the package states "Has the wires and the sensor" - the av wires are not here (sensor bar and power supply are here).

This game is alright. I play it I like it. It's fun. I like the character choices. I dont have a steering wheel or anything. I just play with the wii remote and it works fine.

I can't express how happy my children and I are with this! It's fun and I've never had any problems! We've bought games for it too. Keeps us busy and happy. I received the Wii intact, fast and hooked it up myself with no problems. I can even watch Netflix on it (goodbye expensive cable provider!) THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I've had a chance to sample several of the games on this disk. since the Wii came with a sports game that includes bowling, the bowling is a little redundant. the Archery and Fencing are a lot of fun (although my 9 year old seems to be able to beat me too often). Thi one warning I will give (and it is probably my fault for not reading closely enough) is that this game REQUIRES Motion Plus controllers, it is NOT an option for a better experience, the game will not work without them. I had to go out and buy additionl controllers to make the game work. If you already have the controllers, I would say "Go for it"!

I've had this wii going on almost 2 years now and it still works great. I received my wii even earlier than expected. I brought this gaming system for my 5 year old but the games seemed a little to complicated for her to play on her own so I then brought her a nintendo ds. She hasn't played with the wii since. So if you are looking for something that has more kid friendly games the NINTENDO DS is definitely the way to go. She plays it almost everday. Its great for drive time or keeping her busy at home. And they also have great educational games for young kids. But I will say that the wii has been great fun time with friends and family at home.

People who are complaining about no gamecube ports needed to do research before buying this item, In which a simple google search of "Blue Wii Specs" will do. as i did when i bought a black wii, Which i know had no gamecube ports, But i didn't care. If you want to play gamecube games the best deal is the white wii to begin with, Which can be bought at gamestop refurbished for $80 in which if you hate the color so much can buy you a skin or new hardshell for your wii in any color you want. Basically the white wii is best. Stop complaining and get a brain.
