After 7 years of Wii the prices have dropped dramatically, with the release of Wii U. This holiday season of December 2012 you could find the Wii bundle for $149-169 on amazon, but you can buy it for $129.99 at BestBuy and GameStop. Even when adding tax, it's still a better deal. Amazon.com has it out of stock now, so I don't know if they will match pricing when they have it in stock again.As for the product itself, I am sure many have reviewed it before me, so I am not adding yet another detailed review of it. 5 stars, no doubt, best product for kids.

The novelty wears off after a while with the wii remote. It has some great games, if only a handful. If you can get this a bargain price, get it. You will enjoy the classic nintendo games. Nintendo is the best in the busness at first party games. Sadly they are generally the worst at third party games. Crappy budget titles bleed from the library. It is a great system for family fun too. Wii bowling is one of the best games period. It's also a very reliable system too. Unlike the 360...
In my opinion, if you want to get a new system, go with PS3 or Xbox 360.
Mine collects dust. I turn it on once in a while to play bowling with my daughter or play mario galaxy, mario cart, last story, or rabidds go home. Those rabbits are a riot. Better yet, wait to get the wii u. wii is pretty much done at this point and the wii u is going to be able to play wii games.
In my opinion, if you want to get a new system, go with PS3 or Xbox 360.

Ordered this because I wanted a black console, not white. Arrived quickly, in excellent condition. Compact size is wonderful. Word of advice: if you have a tv that has separate speakers (our speakers are separate from tv, on Bose) and you do not have sound, simply take that triple cable (red, yellow, white) and plug the yellow into the tv but the red and white where the sound comes from. In my case, they are in the Bose system. I had no sound....drove me nutty. Even looking online found no solution. This worked perfectly!

I received my item on time when they said yet when i plugged the cords into my wii and into my tv all i got was grey figures... i know is not my tv as the tv was just purchased last week. I ordered a " New" cord so it shoud work but alas i will have to visit my heart buy and purchase a new one because it's to much of a process to send back an item.

this was a great gift for a child who has to many barbies, baby dolls, and other current toy fads. We didn't want to get her one more barbie or baby doll. "Santa" set it up so she could play it immediately christmas morning. She has been playing ever since. It is great because it gets her moving and works on eye hand coordination as well as gross motor. We put the sensor bar on top of the TV at first but it was difficult to coordinate the hand unless you stood far away so we moved it to the bottom and it works much better.

We have played most of the Lego video games, so we are well aware of their strengths and weaknesses.
This game is an extremely refreshing reinvention of the script! The gameplay, map structure, and save ability is all updated to improvement.
And playing as Superman is extremely fun!

It is a fun game for the entire family....My kids love that they can make/personalize a character that looks like them. Easy to play for my 6 yr old yet entertaining for my husband too. :)

First let me say, do not waste your money. If you buy this you are paying $200 to have an ugly piece of white plastic sit unused on your entertainment center.
It should be obvious that it is a terrible system when the best game (Wii Sports) comes with the system. It is the best game (at 1 star in my opinion) and sadly it loses it appeal after about an hour. What really saddens me is that when you get the Wii and spend all this time on a Mii you find out later it is basically usless in all other games.
It is a money trap:
There are so many peripherials it is ridiculous and somehow Nintendo manages to make so that we almost have to buy these at extra cost just to make the gameplay somewhat enjoyable.
You got Mario Kart and want to play, you have to get a wheel to go around the controller.
You want to play golf? You are conned into buying a attachment that makes your controller more "accurate"
Which is funny because in most games you can try to play it and be all serious and use strategy, all th while your 6 year old nephew is waving his arms randomly like he forgot his ritilan and he still beats me in games. I began to discover that the games really arn't calibrated for strategy but really just for movement. In most game you can move your arms aimlessy and with no direction and the results would be the same as if you actually tried. SO what fun is that? I want challange and skill to play a factor. What is the point if the effort you put in does not have any effect on your gameplay. It really is a cheat.
The graphics are not much better than the PS2, well worse actually, and the gameplay is worse. What really angered me was the controller. At first it is fun waving your arms around like an idiot but after a while you just wants to sit down and play a video game. But it is impossible to play sitting down. SO when I am feeling lazy the Wii is not an option. And for those of you that think the Wii Fit will make you skinny.... Read the Game Informer review online. They did a study and found out the Wii Fit is nothing more than a glorified way to spend a bunch of money and get nothing in return. The whole set up of the game prevents you from building up your heart rate due to having to selct a different excercise from the menu everytime. What they discovered is people do not get healty playing Wii fit. All they are doing is playing a game in which they are standing up and leaning over every know and then.

Even the games that are on other consoles that are on the Wii are terrible. Madden 10 looked like Tecmo Bowl fro NES and played worse. I had to do a milk the cow motion at a hundred miles an hour just to do a running play. After a quarter I was sick of moving my arms and bored by the terrible visuals.
I was so excited when I got this because I believed th hype. I had it for six monthes and never bought a game because everyone I rented was boring. Even my little brother was bored by all the games. It sat by my tv for six monthes and every now and then my Girlfriend would say, "Want to Play the Wii?" and I would always think about it and become bored just thinking about it. Overall we played it twice. After six monthes I took it to GameStop and they gave my $60 for it. I paid $260.00 and I still though I was getting a good deal. If they solf he Wii for 10 dollars I would still think Iwas getting ripped off.
I traded mine in for a PS3. Best decison I ever made.

I thought the deluxe JUST had more memory. It turns out that it also includes 3 accessories the Basic set doesn't. You get a stand for the Wii U (different from the stand the Wii has, but same function). You also get a stand for the giant LCD controller. Finally, you get a CHARGING cradle for the giant controller! It's super nice.If you can afford the Deluxe set, go that route. If not, well, you're still going to have a blast with this. :D(If you have a Wii, make sure you read the quick start guide! Migrating your data wipes out the stuff you do on the Wii U, so do that first!)

I have never ever used a Wii. So this was a completely new experience for me. It was fairly easy to set up although I am challenged when it comes to this stuff. The instruction book was actually well written. Most of the time these manuals are awful. The fact that it can be connected to Wireless Internet Connection is great and I liked that feature. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get off the couch! It's great exercise and time sure flies. It's nice to have some wholesome games, too. I am surprised, but I love the boxing.

The instruction book was actually well written. Most of the time these manuals are awful. The fact that it can be connected to Wireless Internet Connection is great and I liked that feature. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get off the couch! It's great exercise and time sure flies. It's nice to have some wholesome games, too. I am surprised, but I love the boxing.

My husband and grandson love this game. This was purchased as a replacement for one that 'came up missing'. The games are fun and easy enough for young children but there are challenging games as well for the adults. A great purchase.

The Nintendo Wii is a well made, dependable and fun console. Plenty of great titles out there.
The only thing that has ever been a set back for me is the sensor aspect of the remote. Sometimes it seems that there is a slow or unpredictable response when using the motion sensor. It is possible that I set the sensor bar too low or held the remote too high. For the best gameplay be sure the sensor and remote are set up correctly for you.
Many of the titles and the over all feeling of the console main menu seem to be targeted towards a younger audience of gamers.

First of all I think it's sad how the ones who gave this a one star rating talk about sony and microsoft products...of course a fanboy would give this a one star rating. They don't even give good examples why they gave it one star, they talk about ps4's and xbox "720" when the consoles didn't even come out yet...if you're going to give a negative review, at least give good examples and prove your point.Second, The Wii U is by far the best console since Super Nintendo.

I ordered this with standard shipping, and within about 3 days of ordering it, the bundle arrived. I was worried at first because the box was a little banged up when I opened the package, but nothing inside was damaged or even scuffed.The wii works great, and the controls fit easily in my hand. The placement of the buttons makes it easy to use, and there's a wrist-strap so you don't accidentally send the controller flying.The game, itself...I've only tried Sports Resort so far, and am addicted to the table tennis game. Bowling was fairly fun once I got the hang of it, and the 3-point basketball shot game was also addicting. The wakeboarding was harder to control and see than it sounded, and the archery was a slight disappointment.Otherwise, everything else I tried was fairly fun (with table tennis and basketball being the best two IMO).The graphics are dated, but I actually find them sort of charming that way.There is a lot of reading of the instruction manual (seriously, this is the first platform game I had to actually look at the instructions to find out how to hook it up and play games on it), and don't forget to create your "mii" character!If you don't, you use generic people in the game, and the records aren't saved.

If you need it, I still think Nintendo brand is the best way to go. The knock-offs never seem to respond as well, and the wireless ones are also slow. Sometimes best to stick with the brand.

I've always wanted a Wii Nintendo and this one made it possible for me to be able to have one. It came within 3-4 business days and was more than I expected. Being a used game console, I didn't expect it to come with user guides and instructions on how to play the 2-game disk that came with it...but it did! I was pleasantly surprised! Affordable and affords my kids and I hours of fun...how can you go wrong?

The wii u expands on the greatness of the wii.The 8 gig version is not a good idea because of the limited space get the 24 gigAs the wii was the best of the last generation with the best games the wii U will rule this one.

Got it for my 8 year old son and he loves it!! I get frustrated with the Gotham City hub where you have to search and find the beginning for the next story/mission. There appear to be glitches in the game when we cross some streets/bridges and we are suddenly transported across the city.
The stories are cool but difficult for an 8 year old to navigate completely on their own ~ lots of tricky tasks with many steps. A great game though and can't wait to get all the stories open so you can travel straight there!

Didn't receive any of the games I purchased with the wii as it was advertised and its been two weeks and still i,have no games. What good is a wii if there's no games!?
