If you are a Single player gamer, then buy just another thing to play just alone all the time and Think about suicide every single time you just complete a game. BUT, if you want to have few but everlasting FUN games to play with ALL of your friends, family and or boy-girl friend or hustband-wife, BUY THIS CONSOLE. Even if you only have 2 or 3 good games, You will play this over and over and over again and never get tired of the games! Games such as Super smash bros. brawl, mario kart, mario party, new super mario bros... Come on, don't think it twice to buy this console!!!

After receiving a number of games for my new Wii, I quickly noticed something about them. Many of them required a nunchuck in order to play them or in order to access all of the game's features. So like a good little consumer, I set out to purchase my nunchuck.I'm fairly pleased with it. Sure, I'm a little angry that this wasn't included with the Wii, considering how many games require it, but over all its worth the purchase.

Like so many people who searched for a HD cable for the Wii I was flooded with different manufactures and sellers, of which only the expensive ones were reviewed. I looked for the cheapest cable that looked well manufactured, i.e. a thick coaxial line from the connector to the adapter.
When the product came in I was happy to see that it looked like what was in the pictures and after installation worked fine. Since the Wii isn't HD or anything over 480i I wasn't able to determine if the full capabilities of the cable are being used.
Overall, shipping was within the week, product works great, and the price was cheap.

It has games great for a party or when it to cold/hot to go outside to do some of these things or if you don't have thousands to spend on the equipment required to perform them

This game comes with a new controller so if your considering buying you'd be better off just buying a new controller. Its fun, simple, and enjoyable for the whole family. The games are entertaining and meant to be played in moderation because they do get boring after a while. I'd say the whole point of this game is just to have something to do when your friends are over. Although the Tanks game is extremely challenging. I can't really say anything bad about this game other than its a party game. So, have fun!

The wii is a very good console for the family and young kids. I purchased my wii at Target the day it was released, and I was very surprised when I opened it up. It is a very small and quiet console. The console itself is probably the half the size of a notebook. It is also dead quiet, which is great, but sometimes I have check if the fans are still spinning, because it is too quiet! Wii also doesn't overheat, I left the it on for three weeks and it was still up and running and cool to touch.
The console does have gamecube backward compatibility, but does not support all the games. On the top of the console, there are two panels that open up to reveal four gamecube controller ports and two memory slots. Most of the games require a nunchuck so it is a good idea if you are planing to buy another controller. The console itself can have up to four wii motes.
In the front of the console are three buttons the: power, menu and eject button and under the flap is a sync button and a SD card for extra storage (wii only has 108 mb of storage). In the back of the console are two usb ports, fan, sensor bar port, power port, and av cable port. And yes the console does have a power brick and a sensor bar that is positioned on the tv. The power brick is smaller than the xbox 360's and is very light, so it can stored and hidden. In the box are: The Wii, the stand, intruction manuals, power cable, sensor bar and a/v cables.
If you are planning to buy this for a Hdtv, it is recommended that you buy a component cable(480p) for it, otherwise the picture will be very fuzzy. The graphics of this console aren't very amazing, but it really depends on what games you play, such as: mario cart, super smash bros. Brawl, and super mario galaxy. For almost every game on the console are interactive and requires you to get off the couch, the only game I know that does not use motion features is super smah bros brawl.
This console may not be suitable for heavy gamers, because it does not have a lot of fps which alot of people like (ps3 or xbox 360 might be suitable for them). This console is probably for people who want to lose weight or play a game with the family. If your planning to lose weight with this thing, then it's a good buy and your guaranteed to lose a couple of pounds or so. Otherwise this is a good buy especially right now as it is only a affordable [...].

This is an original Wii brand controller. It works perfect. Got it for about $16 which was the best price I could find anywhere.

Product was said to be "USED-VERY GOOD" condition, but as soon as I plugged the nunchuck into the controller, it did not connect. We tried it with both of our remotes to make sure and it didn't work with either one. Later taking a look at the nunchuck we discovered that on the connector part that goes into the remote, the side of it seemed broken and was preventing connection into the remote.

No issues. Works. Noticeable improvement in image quality. Didn't pay attention to the exact length, but it's somewhere between 4 to 5 feet long. With shipping and handling, still less than the other listings. Made by Nintendo--can't go wrong. Recommended.

Great fun for the family, not meant for a hard core multiplayer online fanatic like my self. The extended family has forced me to buy batteries at costco but it's well worth it! I love this system when it comes to family entertainment and also brings out the competitiveness in even the most subtle people. Love the system, hate the available online issues, but you know what? This is about getting the family together and enjoying each others company. Want to bring the family together? Fork over the $200 and enjoy!

Had a hard time getting the Wii Fit balance board I wanted for Wii Fit excersice program. Finally got one!! Enjoy the programs and am on the "weigh down" with my weight. Very enjoyable using all the programs that I am able to do now, looking forward to adding more exercise forms for advanced as I progress. Been using it almost every day.

The Wii is a bit hard to review since it's obviously a huge success market wise. It's sold millions and has been hard to find for ages, attracting a huge market that was previously untapped. In that vein, it's certainly a great success for those that have previously found modern gaming too complicated to get into the last 10 years.
However I couldn't rate it 5 stars myself, as my system has been left untouched for quite some time while I spend more time gaming on my XBox 360. One big issue is the lack of steady games that interest me, and another is that I simply don't find the motion controls all that attractive or fun. While it's great with a group of friends playing Wii Sports or Smash Bros together, the games that actually make a good use of the motion controls are few and far between. We have a Wii Fit, and even that hasn't gotten a whole lot of play after the initial month of use. It's not a bad system, and I understand the appeal for the old and young users that are finding it a revolution in gaming, but for someone that's been playing games for years I feel like there should be more.
On my HDTV, the lack of HD graphics is quickly becoming noticable, and while stylized stuff like No More Heroes or Mario Galaxy is passable and looks good, it doesn't compare favorably to Gears of War or something on the 360. The lack of good online play is also a problem, as a game of Smash Bros online is a lag fest and practically unplayable. For many these issues aren't an issue, but they are annoyances for me and my preferences in games leans towards the 360 side. Still, I can't rate the Wii that low since I know how great it is for other audiences.

My whole life I was and still am a fan of computer games. For that reason all consoles are pretty uncomfortable for me as I am not used to controllers at all. I got Wii as a present couple of moths ago and absolutely loved it. First of all it has a great price, second of all it has the most innovation on market. I absolutely love the controls and the ease of play. I do not have many games, but it's a lot of fun. My favorite game so far is Resident Evil 4. I love how you can customize your characters and free internet browser is very neat as well. Wireless internet connection is very helpful, no need for any kind of extra adapters. Nintendo really takes care of their stuff, it is not overpriced and you don't have to buy whole bunch of other things in order to experience the Console, unlike Sony and Microsoft. Graphics, of course is not as good as Xbox 360 or PS3, but I rather take the game experience and innovation over graphics. Newer games have very good graphics anyway. I strongly recommend Wii for anyone who loves gaming experience!

This is basically a series of exercises to practice using the Wii remote. If you've played another game, then you don't need this one.I could see spending a few plays on a couple of the mini-games here, like the billiards or tanks games, but no more. I bought the Wii Playversion bundled with a Wii remote. That way it was just a few dollars more than just buying a remote. I don't see any reason to buy thisotherwise. Of course, other opinions may vary.

I ordered the Wii for myself. I am 43 years old. I am loving it! My family loves it and we have lots of fun playing. Everyone who comes over wants to play the wii also. The graphics are much better than any other game I have ever seen. When I ordered it from Amazon, they said it would be here on a specific day and it was. No problems.

My wife and I had some reservations about introducing a video game console to our kids (ages 7 & 8) because we've always been opposed to traditional video games where kids just vegetate on the couch in front of the TV and only exercise their thumbs. Well, I'm sure anyone reading this review by now knows that the Wii is an entirely different kind of gaming platform, and "Wii love it!"
The Wii Sports games that come with the console are all very fun, and will leave your muscles sore the next morning (that's a good sign!) The console comes with one Wii remote and one Wii nunchuck - you'll definitely want to buy a second Wii remote and second nunchuck (so you can play 2 player games.) If you have plenty of room in front of your TV, you might want to have 4 Wii remotes so that 4 players could play tennis together, but 2 remotes have worked just fine for us so far.
The Wii console has Wifi capability, so you can connect it to the internet through your wireless router. This enables a few other features such as: Wii Shop (you can buy and download other games directly off the internet), Weather (which has a very nice user interface) and News (again with a very nice UI for reading the latest news stories including viewing high quality photos that accompany some stories). The internet connection also enables the Nintendo channel which has videos of all the latest games as they are released, and a couple of other fun diversions (Check Mii Out channel and Wii Vote channel.)
Installation was very simple - we were up and running (literally) very quickly! Our whole family has enjoyed it, and now we have Wii nights with our neighbors (who also got a Wii for xmas). If you haven't bought one yet, what are you waiting for?

Very few Wii games are good. If you look at the statistics, the vast majority of Wii games are in fact of very poor standard. The only bearable titles are Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. The only game I was addicted to was Mario Kart Wii. Also, the system doesn't support DVD moves. The hardware is also very weak; I'd be surprised if it is even 10% better than the GCN. The controllers use AA batteries and you can't charge them by connecting them to the system.

I don't know how this happened or what, but this Nunchuk feels fake to me. The action of the joystick is rough, the plastic that it is made of has a rougher texture and seems to be cheaper. The cord length is about 3 inches shorter than the store bought legit Nunchuks. I don't know where this one came from. It affects gameplay a lot and I would strongly recommend going to the store and buying the real thing rather than this fake.

The Nintendo Wii is not only revolutionary and currently the best selling console system, but probably the best gaming experience ever created. Those are strong words but the Wii's interactivity, nearly limitless selection of games and creative aftermarket accessories sets it apart from anything that consumers have ever experienced. If you love competition games (think classic Track & Field) then you'll LOVE the Wii. Lumberjacks might just be the best button basher/timing game ever produced since Track & Field back in 1984. Interactive bowling just isn't the same with Wii Sports Resort and the CTA real bowling ball!

There are far more party games for this system, and childish games. Its not the family system all the time because not everyone wants to play lack luster games. The good games come out every now and then but seldom are they considerate as far as looks. Some peripherals have their set backs, like the Wii Speak that does not allow you to use it at all if you don't have any Wii Friends. Waste of $$$ on that note. Wii Classic remote could really be used for great games like King of Fighters 12, and Street Fighter 4, if they actually considered making them for the system, but its seen as the mediocre party game system that seldom gets quality content, and thats mainly through Nintendo itself. We are waiting, but it sucks, if the Wii has more juice than the GameCube then there shouldn't be any excuse for last Gen titles with a $50 price tag slapped on them like they are worth it.

Went to buy an extra nunchuk for our Wii, Fred Meyer was $3 higher. Because I have Amazon Prime, I pay no shipping and got it in 2 days. Awesome!
