To spare a long drawn out review that I can tend to do at times, I'll keep this one relatively short. After all, it's a frackin cable!...
The item arrived earlier than I was expecting and looked as if it were actually made by Nintendo themselves. I needed it to free up my RCA port on my TV for older game systems that I wanted to run from the back of the room with a switcher box. But I like having the Wii up by the TV (mainly for the sensor bar and my lack of wanting a wireless one, plus it's not a space hog).
To be totally honest, I don't see much of a difference in the picture quality, minor if at all (remember, the Wii is not an HD system). But again, new TV's simply do not provide RCA ports like the old Tube TV's did. So if you want to keep that single port open for the occasional item that needs to be plugged in, like a camcorder of something. Or if you want to have an extra Wii cable lying around for when you bring it to a friends (no more untangling the connected one). Than get this cable.
It's cheap, works, and even if it's not that noticeable, cleans up the image enough to justify $5. I would never pay Nintendo the $30 they are asking though.

We had a power outage and it knocked out our old Wii, so we needed to replace . Amazon has the best prices and the best service! Our Wii gets used all of the time. My son plays several games on it and I use the Wii Fit Plus on it daily. I don't know what we'd do without our Wii!

Very simple but fun game collection. I loved the ping pong, pool and shot gun games but wish the control was a little more precise. Kids love the tank battle and cow race too.

WOW I bought the Wii for a Christmas present and I was shocked that I could not find an HDMI out! Further I was surprised about the 480i/p resolution. The Wii actually uses a 20 years old AVI out! I didn't even check for this prior purchase, because I thought HDMI out is standard in 2010. Even if it is just up-converted.I don't care how much fun the Wii games are - just for the specs and output options it deserves one star overall! Very disappointed! I'm unable to hook it up to a wall mounted TV trough a HDMI splitter. Well you have to buy a Wii2HDMI converter for 39 $ !!!!I should have bought an Atari from the 80's. It had the same output, lol.

this was a Christmas gift and I got in trouble for buying it.Men can not buy a gift for women and get it right. I bought the WII because she has grand kids. I thought it would be something they could use together. But NO !!! When she opened it all she said was " Oh so you think I am fat. " I guess her friends had told her it was good for exercise. All in All she has used it and really enjoys playing with it. She is getting real good at the bowling and golf. Now she is looking for the Wii Dance off or something like that.this is a great product lots of fun and easy to use.

Very good console. the color goes well with other equipment i have so the setup looks great. The only reason i'm not giving this 5 stars is the fact that its not 720p or 1080p. Hopefully the next version will be HD.

This component cable for wii improves picture quality and contrast. But you have to make sure to plug it in correctly as there are two red connectors. White and red connectors wired beside one another are audio, the blue, green and red connectors are video. If you get weird picture or audio it may be that they are pluged in improperly. Mine helped picture and graphics look brighter and more defined. The wii is capable of 480p with this cable not 1080p so don't be dissapointed if it dosen't turn the wii into a ps3, it won't but it will help improve your gaming experience.

He comprado este control, el cual es el ORIGINAL para WII. Trabaja perfectamente y funciona al 100% con mis juegos. El precio es correcto y el pl?stico NO se ha colocado amarillo. Tengo unos amigos que compraron un control que no era el original y adem?s de que ya esta da?ado, el pl?stico se puso de color amarillo.

This is an original control which is as good as the one that you received on the Wii console package. My Wii console came with one set of controllers only,so I had to buy another set. I bought it to play some games that let you use the numchuck for a second player. I have not seen any games that lets 3 or 4 players play with a numchuck, so my recommendation is to buy this controller just if you are gonna add it for a second player. Games with a third and/or fourth players will not use the numchuck

I always wanted a wii,I am glad I waited to save for it.I got the black NEW one and it looks better in person than I imagine.I got mines at local target and I got home and set it up under 10 mins with a newborn in my arms that is how easy it is to install.I like that it comes with the quick start set up with the pictures so,you can see how it all goes.I love the training part of the game in wii sports because it gets me into a workout and is fun..I do love the boxing..it works up a sweat...I got the wii basically for getting back into shape and losing the baby fat.I plan on buying soon the dance revelation game and outdoor games next month..My husband is NOT a GAMER.His played it and he loves it..and now he looks forward to coming home.lol!! my daughter likes playing swords and training in tennis,I plan on renting her some games and gamestop soon too.the games are expensive so,I suggest you rent the games before you buy them..if you decide later on you can buy them.I have tried the dance and outdoor games at friends house..So,i will buy them for my OWN wii. I am caring for a newborn he eats every 3-4 hrs and I can say in between me catching some sleep I can sneak in 20 mins every other hour and get 2 hrs of a workout without steping out the HOUSE..love wii.true gamer.

Got the Wii for my nephew's for their birthdays. I already have one I bought from wal-mart the quality of this one is as expected. Easy to set up, arrived in plenty of time, was easy to track on-line. The sports game is fun...it seems a little repetative to bundle with sports resort even though some of the games are different. Overall a good buy!

i own this item for about 2 months now, not sure how i survived so long not owning one! We have a treadmill, but my husband and i spent more time using the WII with the balance board, this is really a great product, and i believe every home should own one! We have lost over 5lbs already. you cannot get bored with this, there is just too much to choose from. the wii fit plus games are awesome!! Go Ninentendo!

I love my wii and the games that came with it are just the regular wii sports and wii resorts! But I love it!The package was wrapped well to stop damage, and there were no problems with the console or the games! Plus it was an awesome deal, I am really happy with the purchase!

You have to be kidding me!Cows, billiards, duck hunting? This game should come bundled with a beer and a pack of cigarettes.Played it through once, just to see if it had anything redeeming about it, then sold it at the local game store.Worthless.

The WII is great if you have small kids( 3 and over). The only drawback is that you cannot play the games that came with it(Nintendo games) unless you have an actual Nintendo controller/nunchuck. I saved $10 and got an off-brand controller that works fine on other games, but Nintendo won't let me use the other controller with Wii sports or Wii resorts. If I'd have know this, I would've bought Nintendo controller. Nintendo is a lot better quality anyway.

We love our Wii. It provided entertainment for the whole family during the Christmas holiday. It was easy enough for everyone to play, from my parents (who are in their late 60's) to my nephew who just turned 3. We did run out and purchase an extra controller, something I would suggest for any family with more than one child.I was most impressed with the service from amazon. I ordered this last minute, just four days before Christmas. It arrived the morning of Christmas eve, despite a really bad snow storm the day before!

Arrived very quickly, but with out the original packing. Makes you wonder if it really was new or refurbished. Controller works perfectly and not a scratch on it so doesn't matter.

First off, I hate video games. I've never liked them, besides Tetris on my phone. But the Wii has turned out to be one of the best purchases I've ever made. Not only are the games that come included much more fun than I expected, but it is great exercise! Also, the new opportunities to stream our Netflix through the tv has more than paid for itself in less than a month.To anyone who isn't sure if it would be worth the $, in my opinion, this isn't the video games that you've based your biases on in the past. Try the Wii bundle... You'll love it!

This product is undoubtedly good and fun, but I am really unsatisfied with the customer service. (You can see the packaging feedback I left. I already complained a lot about the delivery.) I received the product on 6/8 and everything worked just fine, including the Wii Sport and Wii Sport Resort games. Since then, I played other games frequently so I just put the Wii Sport disc aside. However, I found my Wii console could not read the Wii Sport disc anymore lat week. I followed the instruction on the screen and the manual again and again, but it still did not work. It just worked ONCE on 6/9, but no longer worked. It was just the second time I tried to use it, and it did not work! The console can still read other games such as Wii Sport Resort, New Mario Brothers, and Super Mario Galaxy, So I believed there was something wrong with the Wii Sport disc. I would like to replace the disc but not the whole console set, so I would like to contact the seller or Amazon. However, when I checked the Amazon Website, I could not find anywhere to contact the seller. The webpage is not user friendly.I bought the product through Amazon because I thought it would be really convenient, but now I am really disappointed.

For less than a year's gym membership, the Wii, with the balance board and other exercise software, is excellent for keeping fit on your own. No gas, no automobile, no walking alone, no class scheduling worries ...Can't beat it. The "trainers" and benchmarks provided by the games provide that motivational edge for me, that working alone with DVDs doesn't provide. I love it!(The games I'm using: Wii Fitness Plus, Just Dance 2, EA Sports Active: More Workouts (along with the EA Sports Active Accessories Pack), Walk it Out, and the Aerobics Step Platform for Wii Fit -- more than enough to give me a different workout each day, 7 days a week.)
