Pretty much every game on the Wii's Virtual Console runs perfectly using the Classic Controller extension for the Wii remote. But for the N64 games, I recommend the GameCube controller. The reason why, is that while the classic controller is perfect for 2D games (NES, genesis, SNES etc.), it is not very ergonomic for the 3D, N64 games, because the joysticks and buttons are layed-out in a way that it can make your hands feel very uncomfortable after playing for long periods of time. (all due to a lack of hand-grips, and the joysticks being placed WAY below the D-pad) Plus, the fact that you have to lug the Wii remote under the darn thing makes it feel very awkward to handle.But, when you play with the GameCube controller, all of those problems are pretty much solved. Because the controller plugs directly into the Wii, the weight feels much more balanced, and thanks to the controller's comfortable design, your hands will no longer feel irritated due to a lack of handles or having to reach your thumb over to the joystick just to play the game. Because this controller has handle grips, (very comfortable ones i might add,) and the joystick is right where your thumb normally sits! Plus, the joystick itself seems to be more responsive than the joystick on the original N64 controller!If you enjoy playing Nintendo 64 games on your Wii, I highly recommend picking this baby up!

It's a long story, but I got one of these memory cards used. It came along as a package deal with the system and a couple controllers. I used it nearly constantly in my free time for about six months before I got my PS2. Even though it was badly beaten up by its previous owner, the card has never had a single issue connecting to the GameCube, reading, or writing data. It has plenty of space for the dozen games I own with more left over if I get any new ones. My friend has had his for years and he says it still works like the day he first got it.Just a heads up, there isn't a battery backup or anything to run out, but because of the way flash memory operates it will theoretically only retain any given save file for around a decade. Anytime you write to that save again it would restart the clock and give you another ten years. It has to do with how long the memory physically retains the imprint of the save. The same principle applies to common USB drives or camera memory cards. It really won't affect you unless you're planning to keep the machine a really, really long time, but it's good to be aware.

The item shipped very quickly, works well and what else can I say, I will continue to shop on Amazon as I can always find what I'm looking for at a great price.

If there has ever been a controller out there that you have been looking for then look no further because this has got to be the best Gamecube controller I've ever found. It plays perfectly and the buttons are smooth; the L and R buttons click in fast without any real push from the springs. The 10ft( or 3m[or 9.8ft for those technical guys]) cord was a surprise to me, I didn't even know it was going to be that long and really I'm glad it was. A long cord like that for controllers work well for where i play my games. This is a definite recommendation and I urge all those looking to buy a new controller to pick this up even if you think the price might not be worth it, just trust me cuz it truly is. You won't regret buying this product.

This came almost 4 days early and it was packaged nicely. Works great no issues and glad I could find it so cheap. No worries about corrupted files either since it is name brand.

This controller is phenomenal. I was expecting to have to wear this controller in for a while, but after about 5 minutes it was already playing better than my previous controller. Not to mention the 10' cord is amazing. If you need a new controller you can play with normally right away, this is the controller for you.

I've run through a couple of controllers in my playing time and none have been like this controller. Usually when you buy a new controller it takes a few months to break it in, so it starts playing like you want it to for games like Smash Brothers Melee and other games that require precise timing with the controller, well this controllers comes ready for that without the wait or the preparing, it feels like a dream.So if you want to play Smash Brothers Melee in an advance manner or any other game for Gamecube or Wii, this is the classic controller to get.

This controller is a legit nintendo product imported from Japan. It is well constructed, but a little different than the original GC controllers, which are no longer made. The sticks feel different.

I'm new to gaming so I'm experimenting with various controllers. I have a Wii and really enjoy playing old Gamecube games on that console, but you need to get a GC controller. I have 2 wireless, one of which is the official Nintendo Wavebird plus a third party, Thrustmaster wireless. Despite my misgivings about using last-century technology--wired controller--I have found I really like it. It's better than the Wavebird because it has the rumble feature. I sit/stand only a few feet from my TV anyway, so having the wire poses no problem. I like the size, shape and weight of this controller in my hands. I may return to my wireless ones sometimes, but I don't think I'm imagining that I was only able to beat some timed obstacle courses because of the better response time of the wired controller.

THis is a carbon copy of the original Gamecube controllers. It works great and has a long enough cord for just about anybody.

This is the official Nintendo Gamecube controller. This, obviously, can be used on the gamecube and also the Wii. This controller looks amazing in it's clean, stylish white color. What is really nice about this certain colored gamecube controller is that it matches the Wii's color, and more importantly, has a longer cable than the other colors.This is overall a great purchase to anyone looking to play Gamecube games, and certain Wii games such as Super smash Bros. Brawl or Mario Kart Wii.

It's straight up a standard Gamecube controller but colored to match a Wii. The cord for it seems to be about 10ft which (if I recall correctly) is much longer than the original Gamecube controller's cord was. I'd recommend it for anyone who needs a Gamecube controller in general or if you're looking for one for the Wii.

This controller arrived at a reasonable time, but the joystick tilts a little to the left. This doesn't really cause any gameplay issues thought. Overall, a good purchase

After a week of use in heavy play the A and B buttons have sunk in, they still work but they are very loose. Z, L/R triggers are all lacking the feel of an official Nintendo controller. Be aware that when you buy from this seller you will NOT receive an official Nintendo gamecube controller.

Great product, works great too. The only problem I had was that when I ordered it said the shipment would be trackable so I didn't worry, shipping was critical since it had to arrive before a certain date in order for me to receive it.... found out no tracking once purchased and all I was told, after communicating with the seller, was "don't worry it'll get there", which didn't help. It did arrive, at the last possible moment and under the wire and I would have been more comfortable if I had been told the truth. Don't promise something if it will not be done, is all.

The Wii classic controller is a bit awkward and hard to use. Although it has an advantage of being wireless, you still need to attach it to the Wiimote (where it dangles like the Nunchuk). This is more of an issue when you play older Gamecube games and downloadable virtual games when you need to press a combination of buttons to run and jump at the same time. Too bad, the jump button (on the Wii classic controller) is far from the run button and much smaller than the original design. For these reasons, the original GC controller is still the preferable choice.I have used other 3rd party controllers and nothing can get close to the original Nintendo controller.Pros:- Perfect response. The most annoying thing that some 3rd party controllers are notorious to is snapping back to the opposite direction when you wanted to have your Pacman or Mario guy turn right or left.- Perfect handgrip- rumble effect- Unlike the Nintendo "Wavebird", this is still available.Cons:- Wired- Expensive, as Nintendo has almost abandoned the Gamecube console for Wii and very few are left.

My kids love this controller. I do too. Easy to hold on too, great color and works perfect. For boys this should be a must have.

I've been wanting to buy this GC controller so that i can play Super Smash Brothers Brawl on my Wii and it works perfectly. Not only that but now i can now purchase Wiiware and Virtual Console games that cannot be played by the wiimote alone. As we speak i am playing the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The controller has been marvelous and works great. Of course like many others might have stated in the past the only problem i have with it is the awkward placement of the Z button but other than that everything is fine. I would recommend it to everyone.

We always buy the original Nintendo memory products as they seem to hold more memory per byte and have a much lower likelihood of failure or corruption.

We logged in countless amounts of time, sweat, tears and blood into that game! Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros. were loved also. Mario Kart: Double Dash was good for multi-player.Overall, it's not that hard to use but I agree the Z button is kinda hard to reach at times. The layout isn't perfect but it's better than some say.3.75 stars.

To be perfectly honest with you guys the controlers arrived on time. Very punctual timing and that's about as postive as its gonna get.First and formost the controlers are knock-offs they might say nintendo on the image displayed when you first look to purchase the product, however when they arrive its a totally different story. In conparision to the regular nintiedo controlers size and weight are different. "The knockoffs are much lighter and durable and the size is much smaller. Me and my roomates used the controlers for 2weeks, and guess what they all stopped working. I purchased four of them all in different colors and every single one of them stopped working. So please if you come across this review DO NO PURCHASE THESE CONTROLERS!! im trying to save you money and dissappointment! im a victim lol

I have four of these hooked up to the Wii (primarily for Super Smash Bros. Brawl). The cords are a bit short for comfortable playing distaces - especially in front of a large-screen TV. I bought these because I've had some annoying experiences with clucky, cheaply made wireless controllers and their abysmal battery life. However, if I could choose again, I would go with the wireless ones: no cable clutter, and you can play from the couch instead of the floor.
