This controller is used but shows minimal wear, only a couple of subtle scratches. And It was less than 10 dollars. In my mind, that's an awesome deal.

This is the real deal. An official controller from Nintendo with the fresh texture that all the new controllers had. The white color is true and the extra long cord is a welcome touch. Extra winding of the cord is necessary of course. If you're looking for an official GameCube controller to play with then this is it. Perfect for Melee and Brawl.

This is, in its essence, the GameCube controller. The only differences are that it has a much longer cord than the original one (10 ft, or 3m, about the length of the PS2's, maybe longer), and it has been specially colored white for use with the Wii. I never owned a GameCube, but as soon as I started playing Wii the first GameCube game I purchased was The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition. Naturally, I needed a GCN controller to play, so I ventured to my local GameStop and bought a used black one. I thought it was great, but the short cord really made me use it less--especially since I eventually purchased the WaveBird.I decided to give this one a try, and for my first test played Brawl. It was simply fantastic. The actual product is a Japanese import straight from Nintendo, and the box and instructions are all in Japanese (save for the obligatory English titles). That's not much of a bad thing since all you really have to do is plug and play, and everything on the controller is in English.I sold the black one to help fund this, and it was well worth the extra money, if just for the longer cord. I can sit far back from the TV as I do with the WaveBird, but now with one longed-for feature: rumble (or vibration). I was hesitant in purchasing this because other reviews didn't mention rumble, but I guess I should've known since this is Nintendo's original GCN controller, redesigned for the Wii by making it with a longer cord and in white. The white color really adds some dash and goes well with a white Wii. Though I personally wish Nintendo would come out with a WaveBird 2 with rumble (or just the regular controller, but wireless), this is pretty much the next best thing.Yes, this controller really makes that much difference for Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.

I purchased two controllers because I had heard that the chances of getting a working one were risky and these were cheap. As I suspected, one of them works perfectly; the other does not (the charatcers on my games continue walking left or right).That's what you get when you purchase from someone you don't know and can't see.~Charlie

Yeah, I'm just the mom who paid for two. These are expensive compared to other non-Nintendo brands and I had considered them. I look for bargains and sales just like anyone else. But you also get what you pay for and I needed these to last a very long time. So I paid for the official product and so far they are holding up to an 11 yr old constant use.

It's not a "game" so Amazon needs to fix that category, but anyway this thing is GREAT. I forgot how responsive a brand new Gamecube controller can be, because the last time I had one was circa 2001... One of my Wavebirds broke, and I had to replace it to continue playing Smash Bros with friends. The packaging is in Japanese, but it really doesn't matter. They apparently don't carry GCN controllers at Toys R Us anymore, or even the Nintendo World store, so I grabbed one here. The wire is extra long, so it's kinda sorta like being wireless?.... I guess the fact that I don't have to keep putting batteries in it balances everything out.

Really nothing to add to what V.S. Romero and others have said, but heck, here's another score for it.It is in fact a Gamecube controller, in white to match the Wii (looks real nice). It is actually a Japanese import, which really doesn't matter at all. All the buttons, Even the logo and Start/Pause button are labeled the same as they were on the U.S. versions. It's kind of fun to see the Japanese packaging (and of course I can't read the manual...which I wouldn't have read anyway, given it amounts to "plug the controller in and play a game")I'd love to be able to vouch for the cord being longer (and personally I VASTLY prefer wired controllers to wireless), but I live in a different place and have a different gaming setup than I did when I regularly played my Gamecube. It's long enough to reach my bed without issues, and I know my Gamecube controllers I had to use extension cords, but I'm not sure if I'm the same distance from my TV or not.Oh, and this would work just fine for Gamecube owners too-you don't have to have a Wii.If you're ever planning on buying Gamecube games, whether for the Wii or Gamecube, I'd recommend stocking up on these while they're still available, since unfortunately the Classic Controller can't work for Gamecube games (the Wii just shuts off any extra stuff that was added on top of the Gamecube hardware when running Gamecube games) :(

I bought the Nintendo GameCube when it was first released in November 2001, along with the original Memory Card 59. Almost a year later, the Memory Card 251 was released, so I bought one as my 59 block card was almost full at that point. Then, when Nintendo later announced the Memory Card 1019, I was ecstatic. By that time I had a library of almost 50 games and my two old memory cards were entirely full. The 1019 now holds all my saved games, and is barely over half full. It has completely replaced my 59 and 251 block cards, with room to spare. This is the only GameCube memory card you'll ever need! Don't be discouraged by others' complaints that it has corruption issues. It does use a different technology than the two previous official Nintendo cards, but the only problems are with older games (8 of them to be exact, only 3 of which are actually incompatible and none of which cause any corruption). You can read Nintendo's official statement by doing a google search for "nintendo customer service memory card 1019" and clicking on the first result (Amazon won't allow me to post the actual link in this review).As you know, data loss or corruption can occur with any memory device, not just for the GameCube but for other video games and computers as well. To avoid any issues, always remember to return to the title screen of any game before turning off the GameCube (you can reset first with the reset button then turn off with the power button to accomplish this) and never remove or insert any memory cards while the power is on and a game is running, especially a game that uses an autosave feature. Oh, and don't touch either the power or reset button while a game is in the process of saving (that one's obvious). You will never suffer data loss if you follow these simple rules (they are listed in the instruction manuals of both the GameCube and individual games).Now that I've given you "the rest of the story" (thank you Paul Harvey), enjoy this product and its TONS of memory!

It seems strange to rate the memory card as a game. However, I don't know what I would do without this memory card. I play so many games that the memory cards are a God-send.

I ordered this pretty much exclusively to play SSBB competitively. It arrived quickly, and I was surprised by the length of the cord; the cord really gives you the option of not sitting in lasic surgery range of the TV while playing.The controller works smoothly and responds well. For Brawl, I removed the springs in the shoulder buttons and the operation of them remains solid. I even sanded and painted the remote with good results.Overall, it's a name-brand remote... what do you expect? It's well worth the money to buy this over a knock-off brand that has cheaper internals and cuts corner on quality.

251 Is a lot more memory than the standard amount but this was pretty expensive. I bought a Mad Catz memory card as well for about the same price but with 1,019 blocks. Both are compatible with GCN and Wii. I purchased and started using each card more than a couple years ago. Neither has failed on me.

This controller is exactly what I have been looking for months now. I tried Ebay but the two i bought from there were NOT what they were advertising. When I came across this controller on amazon I was a little sketchy as to buy it, so i took a shot. When the controller arrived it was exactly what they advertised in picture and description. It works perfectly and I have had no troubles with it. it also shipped out quite fast! very happy with this and suggest everyone else use this product!

It's hard to review a Gamecube Memory Card. As far as I can tell it works perfectly. I have had problems with other "non-official" memory cards on other platforms, but this is the real thing and it works.

Once we bought our Wii system, I found out that GameCube games worked on it also. I had never played GameCube so it opened up a whole new set of games for me. The only problem was finding a controller since the Wii remotes don't work with Gamecube games.I tried 2 other controllers prior to buying this one. One - a cordless variety - I purchased at Walmart. The controls were much too loose. It was hard to focus on any small object during game play. I also tried another variety that I purchased off Amazon - a cheap corded version. It was completely useless. I got so frustrated with trying to play that I gave up. Finally I spent the extra money and ordered the official Nentendo controller. It was well worth the extra money and I would have actually saved if I had bought it to begin with. It is lightweight. The cord is extra long which gives plenty of room to sit back from the television to play. The controls are very quick and very precise.This is definitely the controller that you want to purchase for your GameCube games on Wii.

This controller is a great buy, and is very useful on Wii games like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, and many others, and of course it's a necessity if you're going to play Gamecube games on your Wii (just don't forget to also get a Gamecube memory card as well to save your Gamecube game files -- SD cards on the Wii won't work for Gamecube games). The cord is a good length and the buttons are nice and responsive, as I would expect from an official controller (I tend to shy away from buying third-party controllers).

This is the authentic Nintendo Gamecube controller. I use it with the Wii, works perfectly.Every third-party controllers I've ever used doesn't compare to the original. This is worth the extra few bucks.

Silly Amazon.com, this is a gamecube controller!The extra feet on the cable make it vastly preferable to the original GCN controllers, and the white-only color scheme will let you know which of your friends actually wash their hands before playing. So, I guess it's a strict improvement over the GCN controller.

i bought 2 of these from Simply Order on this site and got them in factory packaging brand new, they looked ok so i left them in the package untill i needed them, now 2 months later i opened the factory package to use them yesterday and both are corrupt and says it need reformatting so i do that and they still say files on them are corrupt even tho they have never been used, so they wont format and they are always corrupt right out of the factory sealed package, so they are useless cant save anything on them what a big waste of money. DO NOT buy these 1019 cards just because they can hold more and the wii can fry them and there goes all your saved games. if you want a good memory card to keep forever just buy the original 251 cards they never get corrupted and alway work. The 1019 has had alot of problems over the years and if you want to keep your saved game for as long as possible the 251 slot card is the way to go. if you want to save games then lose all of them, or cant even save anything on it as soon as you open it get the garbage 1019. DO NOT BUY!! i wasted $40 on 2 of these and both are corrupt and cant be reformated right out of the factory sealed package. 2BAD I GAVE Simply Order A PERFECT FEEDBACK before i opened them.DONT BUY THIS MEMORY CARD AND DONT BUY FROM Simply Order THEY OPEN ITEMS AND PUT DAMAGED ONES BACK IN TO THE PACKAGES.

This is essential if you want to save on the GameCube. Still needed for Wii when playing & saving in GameCube mode. I'm glad they still make these items cause a lot of folks wouldn't be able to use GameCube games anymore without it. I give it a 5 star rating cause it's the most compatible card on either machine.
