First off be careful where you get your used controller from. I got mine from Finest Play and from what I can tell, these controllers were all rebuilt fron parts of other controllers that were broken in one form or another. I got one controller that has the orange spice plug at the end instead of the silver plug and the other one had a black plug from the black controller. They are fine functionally but they were in worse condition than avertised. Used very good means that all parts on the contoller match and that they are free from major cosmetic damage. Thankfully I am good with the soldering iron and I got my controllers cord swapped for the spice cord and housing swapped for the one with the black end. Also while I was at it I cleaned all of the grime off of the controllers when I had them dissassembled.

I purchased two sets of these and have only used two thusfar. So far, so good.They currently work as advertised. Can't say anything bad about them. They don'thave a very good vibration, but it's OK. Thusfar, the buttons work very well, but time willtell. Shipped quickly. Would do business with them again.

It has ergonomics, button layout and it has style. When N64 came out I thought that was the best controller but this is bar none the best no matter the generation or the system. It does not matter the color because the controller is solid and it does not affect the gameplay.

Like many of you who are looking for a Gamecube controller, I was tempted to go with one of the cheaper knockoffs. I do like to get bang for the buck, but after doing some research and reading some reviews, I decided to dish out the 29.99 and bought this from Amazon. I am glad I did. The controller really is high quality. I've held some of the other ones available, and they really feel cheap compared to this one. The buttons are really nice and sturdy, everything about it feels the way a top notch controller should. Now, it isn't wireless, but I actually think that that is a plus. First of all, the wire is VERY long. I never owned an original Gamecube( I got this for the Wii) but I have to assume it is way longer than the original Gamecube controllers. So even though it isn't wireless, you still should be able to play your game from just about anywhere in the room. And of course with a wired controller, you don't have to worry about running out and getting batteries every few days. Even with rechargeable batteries, constantly recharging them can be a little bit of a hassle.So to sum it up: If you need a Gamecube controller, get this one. Yeah, initially it will set you back more than one of the others, but I think it is worth it. Cause when you add battery cost and/or charging stations, etc, it will probably save you money. And based on the qualities of each controller, in the long run I'm guessing you will get the most gameplay out of this one, by far. Really a quality controller

Picked this up as my very old 3rd party controller was on its last legs. It is an official Nintendo product (or a very good dupe) and works flawlessly for me. The one I got was a bit of a Frankenstein as is has the indigo colored front and the back is transparent. Not a big deal for me considering the Gamecube has been off the market for some time now but I am knocking off a star for it. If you are in the market for a new GCN controller and want an official product, this is for you.

Theese controllers are the absolute BEST kind to get for your gamecube/Wii. I got the original Gamecube the year it came out, so the official controllers were a little expensive back then. I bought several cheap off brand controllers that would always break or wouldn't work correctly. Finnaly after a year or two of buying crappy controllers, we decided to buy some official ones. They have been dropped, and thrown many times and still work perfectly. In fact, I still have the originaly controller that came with my gamecube (now it's probably 9 - 10 years old now) and it still works! Even though many people may not need gamecube controllers anymore, if you are going to get one, get the official Nintendo kind.

- Imported from Japan (But Still Good) -When I first saw the box I could not find the Official Nintendo Seal anywhere on the box. All official Nintendo products have this seal(in North America). With closer inspection I noticed that the whole outside of the box was all written in Japanese. The instruction booklet was completely in Japanese also. Then I noticed one small patch of English on the back of the box which states "FOR SALE AND USE IN JAPAN ONLY". That answered my question on why the box and instructions were all in Japanese. I also learned that the Official Nintendo Seal is not used in Japan by Nintendo.- Detailed Review -So yes after all this controller is an official Nintendo controller made for Japan. The controller works, looks, and functions like the original controllers sold for the GameCube. The only difference is the cord is longer and it is white in color. I don't know if there is an official Nintendo of America version of this, I don't believe so because I have not seen it in stores or any other website. I do hope that Nintendo of America will eventually officially sell this product in the USA in the near future.As stated before the manual is completely in Japanese and there is no English version included. That is not much of a problem because it is easy to use, all you have to do is plug it in and start playing. As far as warranties go on this I have no clue because it is all in Japanese and I am using it outside of the only country it was intended for. Nevertheless it is still a great product and you are most likely not going to need a warranty. My advice is to pay the cash for this controller because they work and will keep working. I have had 2 off-brand controllers fail on me and another on its way to failing. While all that was going on I had 2 original Official Brand Nintendo controllers that worked flawlessly, still work today, and I expect them to last very far into the future. I plan on buying another one of these so I have four official Nintendo controllers that I know will work and last for a long time.- Final Thoughts -If you need a good controller for your GameCube or to play GameCube games on the Wii get this one. Even with the Japan issue I am still giving it five stars. I don't care that it is from Japan, that is Amazon's problem and I wanted to let anyone reading this know it will probably be a Japan version so you are not surprised like I was.PLEASE BE ADVISED: MAKE SURE THE SELLER YOU ARE BUYING FROM IS AMAZON DIRECTLY OR AT LEAST FULFILLED BY AMAZON. YOU WILL PROBABLY GET RIPPED OFF (KNOCK OFF, USED, ORIGINAL CONTROLLER NOT THE NEW EDITION, ETC) IF YOU BUY FROM ANOTHER NO-NAME SELLER.

I got this controller so i could play super smash bros with my friends on my Wii. the controls work fine, but there is a little lag when you use the left toggle. but i got it used so some difficulties are expected, and i got used to it quickly. the color is great and there were no loose or broken buttons. it feels just like the other gamecube controllers i have, very comfortable. they could have packed it better, but it did not affect its performance.

I've had many GC controllers over the years, and the Nintendo brand ones have always been of better quality materials, are more durable than the off brand ones, and always last longer. Spend the coin, get the real thing.

We ordered the gamecube controller, and it was shipped and received with no problem. The order was processed quickly with no problems. The controller was perfect. We will be ordering more soon, since our gamecube controllers that we have are on their last legs!

I chose three stars because it was a good balance between my first and second tries with this.First try: I ordered a USED controller because it would be cheaper. Left shoulder button didn't work. One star.Second try: Ordered a NEW one. Cost quite a bit more, but worth it in the end. Five stars.Lesson learned: Don't ever buy used electronic hardware online. Just some friendly advice. :)

Cheap knock off...stay away, my mistake is i bought 4 of them thinking they were real. Spend a little more time trying to find real gamecube controllers. They worked, but within the first week the wires started to pull out of the controller.

4 Stars for being a quality product but the color is not as described. The picture shows the controller is Indigo but it's indigo on the top and silver on the bottom. We would have returned it but it was needed for a tournament. Functionally, it's fine, standard Nintendo quality.

The Nintendo brand Gamecube controllers really can't be beat. The buttons all work very well. It's definitely worth it. I bought it for my Wii because I bought some Gamecube games but you can't use Wii controllers with those.

This is the original Nintendo Gamecube controller. It arrived in a blue bag and was relatively clean (slightly dusty plug). All buttons and controls worked flawlessly on my Wii. Purchasing this used controller is a good route to go if you're looking for an inexpensive original Gamecube controller for the Wii or for the Gamecube console itself.

Ordered it, came two days before expected delivery date.Exactly as described. A black Gamecube Nintendo 1st party name brand original controller.I took it out of the bag (A plastic bag inside a brown mail package, not a box) and felt it. It felt like it had a chalky, dry, substance all over it, further inspection revealed that the controller was dirty and had chip marks all over it, they looked like dog bites. Wiped it up with a cleaner, problem didn't go away. Doesn't feel smooth and perfect but it'll do.All buttons are perfect, respond quickly, press down easily and smoothly, feels great in my hands other than the awkward texture.After a few hours of use, the texture isn't very bothersome.So basically this is a great, functional gamecube controller but it may be dirty and a little bit banged up, and it may take some getting used to if you prefer smooth, factory-direct plastic casing. Pretty much what you're asking for, a used product.

I ordered the white gamecube controller and thats what I got. Its the same one as pictured with the japanese writing on the box and the extra long cord. If you do not get whats pictured then you show double check your order and send it back, because you got the wrong one. This is the controller to get. It has defiantly been refined a little which makes it more responsive. And works great with the wii. If your thinking about buying this then you already know that you want or need it. So spend the extra coin and get the best controller you can besides it looks great.
