Great Camera..But i get sporadic 'F--' Error in the middle of photo shoot and i will have to remove the lens and remount it to fix the problem. Unfortunately my 30 day Amazon return window elapsed and i am stuck with a faulty $1,300 so called Great D90 camera. Nikon said it would fix it since i am covered under the warranty after that it will come out my pocket. I am the second person reporting the same 'F--' Error problem in Amazon.com. I have given one star because i have to give atleast one to Post this review.

I am a novice photographer. This camera is so easy to use and produces such high quality pictures that it has made me seem like a much better photgrapher than I rightly deserve . I can usually find areas of single picture that has interest but not always the whole picture. Because of this camera, I can enhance those areas and create a good photograph from a mediocre one.

I bought this to replace my D70, the shots I got was alot better. I did not get the kit lens but got it with the Nikon 35mm F2.0. They work great because I use it to take photos of my 10 month old son. We tend to stay indoors. I also got this with SB 400 flash, together they take great indoor shots.

It's a great camera, i don't complain, great built and it feels good in your hand. Image quality it's what i expected. the kit lenses are flexible and sharp, not complains at all... but i recently founded 2 dead pixels in every picture, and i read that it's a normal thing in this body, not very happy with that.

I waited a long time before making the digital SLR plunge and absolutely love my D90. It has everything I need and then some. The manual is detailed but clearly laid out for anyone with SLR experience. I think I will enjoy this camera for years to come.

I just upgraded from the Nikon D40x and I love this Nikon D90. I read a lot of reviews on this camera before I choose to upgrade. I have only had it for two days now and only had one nice day to use it. I am not a professional but one that love to take pictures. The one thing I read a lot about was the video part of the camera. I have to say that it is more than I expected. I did not buy it for that part but as far as I can tell it works great. I also had a remote for the Nikon D40x and it works great on the Nikon D90.

This camera exceeded all my expectations. Purchased after reading several favorable reviews by respected authorities. I have owned professional 35 MM film cameras in the past (Nikon) and several digital cameras recently (Sony and Canon)but this camera just blows them away. Even taking "snap shot" pictures exceeds the capabilities of the 35 MM film cameras using the best techniques under the best conditions. I also found the menu and user interface to be both convenient and intuitive. Great camera for a great price!

Fantastic dslr! Truly amazing photos can be realized with this precision/professional high quality camera, provided you learn its capabilities and utilize its options to create the photos you will be proud of. The D90 is inspiring as well as fast and versitile, in all lighting situations, for fast moving or stationary subject matter. I'm having a blast everytime I see an opportunity to pick it up!

I upgraded from a D70s to the D90. I really like the improvements so far. The bigger screen is great, and it shoots much faster then the D90. I have not used it enough yet to get into the fine details, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. The only downside, which is temporary, is lack of support tor RAW on the D90. Frustrating not to be able to use Aperture yet with my photos in RAW. The JPGs, though have been good enough for what I have been shooting lately.It was a good purchase for me.

The camera is great, it arrived as expected with all the Nikon paperwork and accessories and on time. The camera works great and was sold at an excellent price. The photos are phenomenal.

Just few words. I got D90 after several years of using D70. Also used to shoot in studios with most Nikon and Canon bodies. Must say that D90 is very long step ahead from D70! If you choosing between D90 and D300 and you don't really need 14-bit color and not a "manual settings forever" guy, then D90 is perfect choice!

I think D90 is the best camera for amateurs like me.. This is the 6th Nikon I've had and the best. I am happy with it.

I purchased a D90 this weekend. I had used a D80 for over two years and loved it. The reason I purcahsed the D90 were as follows: Amazing clarity at 1600+ IS0. I live near Seattle and most of the days the sun is not out. I am an avid bird watcher ([...] need to bump up the ISO with my long lenses (Nikon 70-300MM VR, Tamron 200-500MM) to keep the shutter speed up. So far I LOVE this camera.

Not too much I say other than this really is a great camera. Quality pictures is all you get once you understand how to use it! Buy it and enjoy!

Theres no need for a lengthy review since Hiram Grant normally covers all the aspects.The D90 is an amazing camera and is perfect for my vacations and occasional photography needs. Never had live view before but its really nice.So why only 4 stars?1) The AF sometimes struggles with low light close range photos.2) The video mode's audio doesn't work well when theres wind.Both are fairly minor issues, but they are issues nonetheless. In any case im staying with Nikon in the long run and the 18-105 VR is a good lens to start with.

D90 is a huge improvement over D80. Almost same specs with D300. I recommend anyone who really wants a great semi-pro.

This camera is simply amazing. I have had it for about a week now and I just love it. It's very responsive, great AF with included lens, VR is a must and it performs surprisingly good. I have been waiting for this camera for the past 9 months or so and I'll tell you I'm glad I waited all this time. Another plus is a movie capture (here is a link to a video I posted on youtube: [...] ) it also is very good, but the only downside is it's manual focus. Over all very good camera and the included lens is also amazingly good.

I bought the D80 a couple months ago and was having major noise issues. My Nikon D50 (a lesser model) took better quality photos. After exchanging the D80 several times and even sending it in for service, the issue still remained. I was so fortunate that the D90 was released this week....I have already exchanged the D80 for the D90. After using it for just one day, I am amazed at the quality. I took photos at ISO 3200, and they are nearly the same quality as the D50 at ISO 400. Nikon has finally solved their noise issues!!

An absolutely awesome camera. From my experience Nikon has out done themselves again topping the D40, D50 and D80. All the features you would ever want!

I don't get very excited so much about stuff as I do about people. I bought this camera shortly after my grand daughter was born. I wanted a camera that would give me really good pictures of my family and what ever else.The pictures are so amazingly sharp, with great depth and color. I am so happy that we have captured amazingly life like moments with the D90. Well worth the investment.Looking forward to a life time of really great quality pictures.

Got it today and took about 400 shots of my sons football game. Put those next to the shots from last week on my Nikon D100 and all I can say is WOW. That was a 2K body in its day and now the D90 stomps all over it in every way. Still getting use to the weight and size difference but if you waited for an upgrade now is the time and this is the camera. Purchase at least a 4GB card.

I don't need to repeat what others have said, except to experiment by adding sharpening. Pic's were a little soft compared to the same lenses on my D80 until I increased the sharpening.Takes kick butt pic's now.

Camera broke after 6 months. Baaad customer service. They found small scratches on camera so nothing was covered.

I've had a D80 for over a year now and really loved it. Now that I am pretty familiar with using a DSLR, I just couldnt hold back on upgrading it to a D90 and boy was it worth it. It weighs a bit more than a D80 which I dont mind and its a very worthy upgrade over the D80 i had.
