We love this Camera. We feel the quality of the pictures are great and love the fact that it takes very good low light pictures. Also I feel it is an added bonus that it takes short videos.

I received several errors ('CHA', 'F--') that made use of the camera impossible after 1 week of use; only way I could turn camera off was to remove batteries. Without the error, I would have rated the camera with 5 stars. If it seemed like a rare error I would have exchanged it for a replacement; however, it appears as if a non-trivial number of users have had same experience.Amazon did provide a complete refund and I'm struggling with whether to go down to a D40 or switch to Canon.

The D90 is a great camera that will be appreciated by both amateurs and semi-professionals. The kit lens is decent for most purposes, but doesn't do the camera's capabilities justice. I recommend purchasing the D90 body and another lens (either the 18 - 200 or 16 - 85 & 70 - 300)-DBlotterman.com

I am new to photography but this camera is making it easy to learn!! I studied for months which camera to buy, I wanted one that would allow me to be a beginner but after reading more books and websites about photography, also allow me to take more control. I LOVE IT!! The pictures are professional quality, in my opinion, and I get so many compliments on what I've taken. I would highly recommend this camera for any beginner like me.

This was my first digital SLR purchase following a history of compact digital purchases and 35mm SLR's.It arrived on my doorstep a few hours before Hurricane Ike and was a lot more welcome ! The initial impression on just recieving the box was one of quality and the camera has lived up to first impressions.The camera is a joy to use with super fast response and a really excellent LCD screen to review my efforts.I have not made more than a trial use of the HD quality video, but I saw enough of its potential to be suitably impressed.My only wish would be a for a glossier more descriptive manual to enable me to utilise more of its features without spending time coming to terms with geekish phrases and wishing for a better pair of glasses.I am glad I bought this and not Cannon Rebel !

This camera is the best camera I have ever owned. It was everything I expected and even more. I would recommend this camera to anyone interested in improving their photography and adding a whole new level to it.

I have had this camera for awhile now. I have put it through the 'paces' so to say. I cannot recommend this camera any more highly than I do. For the price that it is, it cannot be beat.I consider myself an advanced hobbyist. For what I need it is great.

I just wanted to stop by and say this camera is great! I had a canon p&s but wanted to advance to something better and this was easy for me to figure out quickly. I'm still learning a lot about photography and dslr's so excuse my "ignorance" :). I take my camera with me almost everywhere I go and use it daily. I definitely recommend the d90.

Two day after after receiving a notice that my order had been shipped from Hobby Warehouse 1, I received an email: "We have cancelled your Amazon.com order because the seller informed us that it was placed against an unauthorized listing."The refund was delayed to my next month billing period on my credit card. How can they take my money and 2 days later tell me the ad was fake? I am sure the D90 is a great camera, but I did not receive one from my order on Amazon.

This is one hell of a camera, a perfect replacement for my D80. If you want more controls, less noise, faster operation and geotagging (GPS unit sold separately) in a not-too-expensive package, this is the way to go. Highly recommended!

I just bought Nikon D-90 from Amazon.com about 2 weeks ago. It's great camera. I took photos on the Lunar New Year's Eve - Sunday Jan 25/2009 at a Asian temple. With this camera I enjoyed some photos taken in low light condition like that evening. I didn't have to wait as I took photos with a small digital camera. I have not tried movie yet.

I recently upgraded from a D40x to a D90 and the difference completely blew me away. The live view & video is a nice plus, but the best thing about the D90 is the excellent picture quality at high ISO settings. Shooting at ISO 1600 on the D90 looks better than ISO 800 on the D40x. The D90's controls are a lot easier to use. Instead of having to go to the menu for everything, you can set the ISO, image quality, etc. with a single button. The D90's lens support is also a lot better. It has an internal auto focus motor, so I can use auto focus with my 50mm/f1.8 lens.

Just wow. This is my second Nikon DSLR and a big step up from my fine D-70s. The D-90 is about the same size and weight which is important if you're holding this camera throughout a busy day. The focus is fast and accurate in most cases. The d-lighting is a nice feature for compressing highly dynamic lighting. Shooting 4.5 frames per second is wonderful. The rear screen is sharp and bright. The ability to shoot 720P video is nice but is limited by a lack of automatic focus. The resulting video is very sharp as the DSLR's lens are bigger than anything short of a professional video camera. Nice for an occasional video but not a full replacement.

I have always been a Nikon user and think they got it right this time. I also have a D300 and prefer the D90. Why? Thanks for asking...more hard buttons rather then trying to remember the menu. Lighter & easier to handle (I know it's not as bullet proof as the D300 but is built pretty sturdy). The main thing is the main thing-picture image: Except under extreme cases, the average (and pro) would be hard pressed to see any differences between this & the $700 more D300.Get one, add the kit lens & enjoy! It should be all you need in a camera.Fussy con for me: Nikon Capture NX 1.x.x will not read the D90 RAW files. So I suggest calling MR. Nikon & telling him to include a RAW software viewer.

the camera is nice. the video is pretty cool. only thing ive noticed is that it wont shoot alot of pictures in succession. it freezes up. amazon delivered it next business day even though i opted for the free shipping.

I have owned Nikon digital cameras for over 10 years. I just upgraded from the D70 and find this a joy to use. The large LCD gives excellent results of the just captured image. The top buttons allow access to most of the needed adjustments. I have the 18-200MM lens and have not tried the included lens yet, but every photo is excellent.I have used it with my Nikon SB 600 flash and the TTl metering is on target. The built in flash also does a good job.Focus assist works well.Overall a great camera with limitless possibilities.

A superior DSLR, the speed, the user interface and the quality of pictures are amazing. Video features are not great even for an average user, so if buying because of video, consider carefully.

This is a brilliant camera. I am only an amateur, but in my opinion, this is the best value DSLR out there. I chose it over the D300, Canon EOS40D and Olympus E3 (I played with all of them before deciding). Very easy to get great images. It's low light performance is worth it's weight in gold too. No more nasty brightly lit, squinty faces! Sure it takes videos, which is a fun diversion, but it's the image quality that is expecially outstanding. Lots of choices for lenses too, but one I'd definitely recommend is the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens($110 BARGAIN of the century).

I compared the D90 to other cameras on display in Best Buy and Circuit City. You can perform this same test easily. Take a picture with the D90 of an area across the store. Take a picture of the same area with any other SLR camera the store happens to have on hand. Zoom in on the printing in your picture. The D90 will beat all the others in its price range. You will be able to read the fine print on the D90 screen and you will be able to read the fine print in your pictures. The other cameras simply can't show as much detail. I bought the D90 body as a step up from the D40. Exposure is much better (the D40 likes to over-expose), I can now autofocus on my 50/1.4 AF-D, ISO1600 is even cleaner, and the picture controls are to die for. I didn't think it possible, but the rear LCD is much better than the D40's. I've tried the 720p video feature, but don't find it terribly useful. I've also used live view to nail large aperture focus exactly where I want it, which I don't use often, but is very handy when I need it. I was happy with the D40. The D90 is even better, and a great step up from the D40.

Love love love it!!!! What can I say that hasn't already been said? This camera is all types of win!!!!
