I've only had the camera for a couple of weeks and used it a few times but it is pretty great. It is small and handy to just carry in my purse all of the time. I have the Nikon Coolpix P80, which is a larger camera and is difficult to carry with you all the time or comfortably to the beach, but this smaller Nikon is great for everyday and beach vacation shots. I'm excited to use it there. The pictures look great and the ease of use is pretty good too. I have not read the instructions yet but was able to just point and shoot and get great shots already.

I purchased this camera because I went with all the positive reviews on Amazon (those with 4 and 5 stars). I received my camera today, March 10, 2014. Size wise, the camera is great. However, the buttons that allow one to customize the camera did not work. The "ok" button which you need to set up the camera and use the menu would not respond to my touch. I ended up skipping the time/date set-up once the "ok" button responded. I then took one picture and the camera stopped working. I am highly disappointed with the product. I was hoping to use the camera abroad in a couple of days and instead will be shipping it back for a refund tomorrow.

I wasn't sure which camera to purchase, after reading the reviews I decided to get this one. It takes very good pictures, I have cropped and enlarged them and am very pleased with the results. I am still learning which is best settings for zooming in. Some of them the camera is slow to reset between pics. That is the only flaw I have found in this product.

I bought this hoping for clear pictures than my old camera that didn't have a flash and this is a wonderful camera that takes clear, great pictures. I can not get over the great picture quality I am getting from this camera. A friend of mine told me about this camera when she found out I was looking for a new camera and she was right to recommend this one. For the price I could not be happier. I sat across the living room and took a picture of my small bear statue sitting on the tv, using the zoom feature and it came out so clear like I was standing right in front of it. I'm very happy with this camera.

I have been using this camera for several months and love it. I like the high quality optics and the compactness of this little powerhouse. It was on sale, so I feel that I scored a great bargain.It took me a while to get used to using just the screen to frame a photo, rather than a view-finder. It's hard to properly focus and frame with this type of mini camera, but I find that I rarely need to edit or fix a photo. They come out clear and with bright colors, most of the time. I like the fact that I can slip this camera in my pocket or travel bag and go. There is no stupid lens cap to keep track of. Yea! I recommend the Coolpix to anyone, expert or beginner for good photographs.Note: The photo editing software has a steep learning curve. I gave up and kept using my Olympus Master photo editor, which is the best I have ever used -- simple, easy to navigate, and lets me save photos by name in folders I name.

The pictures come out well and my husband was impressed with it's stability when zoomed in but I found the time between photos a bit slow and it doesn't seem as user friendly as my old coolpix. Overall, for the price it wasn't a bad buy and I like how small and compact it is and the color choice was nice as well.

I returned it, the color was cute, I loved the fact that there was a pet option in the settings, but ultimately it was a bigger pain in the a$$ than it was worth, was told a certain setting would make my images appear less blurry. Couldn't find the setting. Maybe i got used to pressing a screen and not a button but honestly almost 85% of the photos I took came out very blurry both in light and in the dark. Will wait til I have $300 for a good camera, until then subpar old cell phone camera is fine.

Was not realy excited about the quality. Crossing my fingers it lasts for at least a year. Bought it as a gift for my daughter-in-law. Was supposed to come with a leather case which it did not. She hasn't said if she has had time to use it yet and how it works.

Bought this camera last minute before a a trip to NYC and couldn't have found a better point and shoot camera. And at such a great price!!! It really takes great pictures and so fast too. several times I thought I missed the shot because the tour bus was going by too quickly, but to my surprise the camera got the image I wanted each time. I cannot say enough good things about it.

It's a nice little camera but I can figure out how to get my picture printed. I have to go back and review the cd and hope to be able to figure it out.

This is a very slim camera, which fits well in my purse. I had another coolpixthat got in the way of my new kitty, and ended up broken on the floor. So Iordered this one to replace it. I love it. Also, the feature I like the most, is beingable to touch the screen on the back of the camera to enhance the photo.I have been a long time fan of Nikon, but had purchased several digitalcameras from Olympus. The coolpix is a better deal in many ways, includingthe picture card. (Much less than the one that fits olympus).The only thing I have found to be a problem for me, is trying to get actionphotos..it seems slow, but I need to check the speed, and read more beforeI blame the camera. I am very glad I purchased this.

This camera is a great compact size, quality of the pictures is awesome, video is good and battery life is great.For the price this is a great camera! I have a Cannon that was $400 and has all the bells and whistles and doesn't take as good of pictures as this does! Compact, 7x zoom, unbeatable MPs for the price! Highly recommend this camera!

I have not had the camera long enough to say I love it. I love how easy it is to navigate and all of the options but I have not had the chance to use it for what it was bought for. It is small and fits well into a pocket and the lens is well protected. If the pictures come out well it will be perfect.

After a little more than five years of toting my cockpit around in my purse, the shutter failed. This is same size,more pixels, longer zoom and takes great action shots as well as stills. I love the compact quality this gives.

I purchased this camera to take on a trip so I didn't want to spend alot as I am prone to dropping and/or losing things on trips. I love the size of this camera and it takes nice pictures. The one thing I didn't like was the speed at which it turns on and off. I would recommend the leather digital camera case with this and it fits very nicely.

i love and am very happy with my purchase, esp because it was the cheapest rate i found and came with a free card. The camera has exceeded my expectations. The best feature it has that its able to take pictures in motion with out the picture being blurry. And the auto is awesome. Ive used it in many settings, and its always produced great shots.

I bought this because my old Coolpix finally wore out after almost 10 years. I haven't used it that much yet but so far it's great. Colors are more accurate & photo quality blew me away compared with the old camera. There's still a slight delay after pushing the button but it's better than my old one. Can't wait to try it out more with my quick-moving dogs...snapped one super quickly & it was in focus! Not sure about battery life as I haven't used a full charge yet. And I LOVE the purple color...now looking to buy a case & spare battery.

I wish I had listened to the reviews. Blurry pictures and a very very slow reaction time out of the camera was what I got. I have four children, and by the time the camera actually took the picture, the kids would be long gone. I returned it after about 20 min of fiddling with it.

I treated this camera with far better caution than any other one I've ever had and this one lasted the shortest amount of time (2.5 months).It fell out of my pocket in the elevator, since then it hasn't worked at all. So I can't really derive a whole lot other than this is an exceptionally delicate camera.I doubt I'll ever look at getting a Nikon ever again. I know there are shock absorbing models, but damn... dropped once from the pocket and it's done for. :/Camera-wise, I'm kind of relieved (in a way) because the camera on my phone seems to always produce better photos.

I purchased this camera before from another site, but had to re-buy it from amazon when it broke (it was my fault it broke, I dropped like the genius I am). The 20MP pictures are gorgeous, the 7X zoom is great, very easy to use. Can't beat the quality for the price.I did a little research before I re-bought it, this is the highest rated camera for the price range, Nikon has always been a great brand, and the camera itself is adorable, I get a lot of compliments on it.

After 5 weeks, my camera stopped working (lens wouldn't open). I sent it in, and received an email that the work would be covered by warranty. All good. Then, I received an email saying the camera was damaged and repair wasn't covered. I called and told them it had been returned in new condition--they agreed to send a picture (I thought maybe damage had occurred in shipping). They sent a photo showing a tiny scuff mark on the back of the camera and said due to that, it wasn't covered. It makes no sense and has nothing to do with the motor to the lens going out. I never dropped or damaged the camera, but guess what the cost is to repair? Exactly the same as a new camera. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA. I thought NIkon was a reputable brand, but this smacks of fraud. Also, the pictures it took before breaking were not high quality and often blurry.
