Excellent camera for night shots, however, for day pictures i think it needs some improvements to highlight colorful landscapes. A little big but it is okay

I bought this camera because my other Nikon COOLPIX camera vanished. There is no delay time when I take the shots....I get the shot I'm looking at. The screen is nice and big....very clear! GREAT CAMERA - highly recommend!!

I did a lot of research for a camera at this price point with zoom and it came down to this one and the Canon PowerShot SX500 IS. The older verse (Nikon Coolpix L810) had good reviews and specs; this newer version has a few more additional features. This is my first camera of this type to own and I bought it to capture; kids soccer/volleyball events, birthdays, etc. So far it has performed awesome, the Sports scene is great as it takes multiple shots and you can pick from the best one, like a frame by frame slow motion. For battery power,I highly recommend purchasing the eneloop XX 2500mAh Typical / 2400 mAh Minimum, High Capacity, 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries with 4 Position Charger and an additional 4 package eneloop XX 2500mAh Typical / 2400 mAh Minimum, High Capacity, 4 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries. In addition, my daughter is starting to get into photography and she has already figured out additional features that I did not know the camera had, very kid friendly camera.

Speedy delivery, very good price, quality of pictures excellent, photo editing software excellent, zoom lens easy to use, a very good buy.

The shutter speed is so slow the delay. Can't get any action shots. Eats battery's like candy I've owned it for a month and gone threw 2 sets of lithiumAlready . Its great for videos I just expected more from a Nikon.

Camera is user friendly. Takes great pics at a good price. A good camera for the amateur photographer. The accompanying software is also easy to download and use.

Its a great option and great quality for the price. Downside is it didn't come with a bag. :( I am also having to get used to removing a lense cap, but I REALLY appreciate the protection it offers!:) The video's and pictures come out pretty crisp and its a very easy camera to operate!

I have always used a Nikon camera, clear back to the 35MM with the small EM. I wanted a good quality, point and shoot for a vacation to Gdansk Poland. This camera perfomed flawlessly and captured the beautiful sites, even at a long distance. For the price this is an awesome camera. Probably will only use this and not it's big brother.

Camera gives good sharp pictures, the 30x lens is awesome and I like the video feature. I'm glad the camera doesn't use some exotic memory card. use of AA batteries is appreciated. However, when gripped in my right hand my thumb sometimes hits the buttons to the right of the view screen.

Nikon has created a camera that does it all! An HD video recorder (1080p), a very high resolution still camera, and loads of features for easy downloads and creating error-free shots (e.g. eliminate red-eye, an incredible 30X zoom). Priced under $200, the cost benefit is very high. I was incented to purchase this camera when my sister showed it off in a recent trip. Couldn't be happier!

this is my first Nikon, I have had Olympus cameras before. This camera is very well built, and the few pictures I have taken thus far have turned out great. I love the camera because it uses AA batteries, which I can get anywhere. I however purchased rechargeable batteries easier to deal with. Love it so far.

I am an armature photographer and I don't have a lot of cash on hand to buy a SLR type of camera, but I love this thing! Great image resolution, cool settings (color selective mode, 3D imaging, Awesome low light capabilities, ect.). I like the AA battery aspect of this camera, battery dies, pop a new one.

Camera was purchased for the wife. She loves it as it is easy to operate and the optical zoom is fantastic. Is a great step up from the traditional "pocket" camera.

Just came back from two weeks in England and my Coolpix took excellent shots throughout. Terrific wide angle and zoom. Best part about it is you can take most indoor pictures without a flash. It makes the necessary adjustments. It's not as convenient as a phone camera, but it takes much better photos.

This camera takes great photos easily, and that's the only thing I care about. I love that you get a lens that can take wide-angle photos as well as zoom in really close. A fellow reviewer recommended it to me, and I'm so glad he did. This is just the right bridge camera for someone who would love to own a DSLR but can't afford one, like me.

Great camera for the amateur photographer. Covers all bases from wide angle to 50X zoom without the necessity to carry extra lenses. Simple, intuitive controls in a package small enough to keep with you at all times. Nikon quality.

I bought this, camera for a trip to Alaska especially to photograph animals at a distance. I am very impressed with the quality. The 30x zoom gave me a sharp picture and the stabilizer keep everything in focus even at the longest length. Easy to use with self explanatory controls, especially if you've owned a digital point and shoot. I had a Canon Powershot which was over six years old and has a shorter zoom lens. It still worked great but was heavier and the stabilizer wasn't as good. Highly recommend this camera.
