I have owned several bluetooth headsets in the past (both mono and stereo headsets), and my experience with them has been frustrating, to say the least. This Motorola S305 Bluetooth headset is, by far, the best one I have used.I was looking for a stereo headset to go with my iPhone4 for listening to music while at the gym, podcasts on my commute to work, and for calls while driving, and found this very cheap headset here on Amazon. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, considering the price and not so good previous experiences with other Motorola bluetooth headsets, but I decided to give it a try. And I am not disappointed. Now, it is not perfect, hence the 4 stars. Here are the pros and cons I have found, after 4 months of usage:Pros:- Great sound quality in music and podcasts, considering it's a bluethooth headset.- Superb sound for phone calls. No one could tell I was using a headset while on call with it. I can hear them perfectly, they can hear me fine, even when driving with the car windows down.- Light weight.- Flexible and very comfortable to use. I love that these do not have earbud-type headphones, because I cannot stand those in my ears. And it stays put while jogging or exercising at the gym. It also goes well with my sunglasses.- Great battery life. My average usage is about 3.5 hours daily of music/podcast playing and calling, and I have to charge the headset every other day. The charger takes about 1 hour to fully charge it, which I think is fast.- Sturdy. It has resisted four months of handling, which includes me dropping it, my 1-and-a-half year son "playing" with it and gym usage and it is as good as new. The headphones have also resisted very well humidity from sweating while using at the gym. No problems whatsoever from wear so far.- Quick and trouble free pairing with my iPhone4. I tried pairing it with my wife's iPhone3G and had no problem as well.Cons:- I have had some issues with the headset after receiving quick calls in succession while listening to music or a podcast. If I receive 2 or 3 calls in a row, a couple of seconds apart, after I hang up for the last time, the music or podcast that is playing will be all choppy. I solve this by turning the headset off and on again. This happens about once or twice a week for me.- Sometimes my hair gets caught in the hinges of where the headband gets connected to the headphones, which is quite annoying. And I have short hair, so no idea if this could be more annoying for someone with long hair.- Because the padding of the headphones is a foam-like material, sometimes when it's too hot it gets a little uncomfortable to wear them.- Lastly, and this is a minor detail for me, it is not very aesthetically good looking while wearing. The headphones are a bit bulky, so you get a bit of that "Princess Leia" look while wearing it. I don't care about that, but this is the reason why my wife doesn't want one of these. So, as you can see, I am very satisfied with it. I can live with these few cons and ignore them, considering the pros, and how cheap it was. It has been my "trusty companion" for these last month, and if I ever break it, I would certainly buy a replacement.I definitely recommend it.

Looking for a quality bluetooth headset that didn't cost an arm and a leg, I decided on this Motorola S305. I have been impressed with the sound quality, despite some of the reviews to the contrary. People listening to me say my voice comes through clear and most can't tell that I'm on a headset. I love the music controls on the right speaker. It makes it soooo much easier than digging for the iPhone each time I want to do something. I also like how light and small this is compared to over-the-ear headsets. Here are the downsides: It took a bit for me to figure out how to re-connect it to my iPhone bluetooth after charging it every night, but now I've figured out how to do it quickly, although it still doesn't do it automatically as it says it will. I had initially synched it with my iMac because the directions say you can have two devices synched and go back and forth, and it wants to go to the computer instead. I'm not sure how to stop the iMac from reading it as the primary bluetooth device. Having been a technical writer for many years, I can say that the operating instructions aren't that clear and I had to figure out some things on my own.The part that I agree with others is regarding comfortability. My ears get sore after long stretches, and when I put on my glasses or sunglasses, it gets worse. If I add padding, then my glasses don't fit on my face correctly. They should also make the connector that goes around the back of your head flexible so that you can mold it to the shape that is comfortable. It keeps getting caught on my shirts, especially when I look up and down. I also can't lean back in a chair or lay on a pillow because the inflexibility pushes the headset speakers off my ears. So, no wearing them in bed. Annoying to say the least. Also, if it isn't placed just right, the person on the other end sometimes can't hear what I'm saying or it sounds to them like I'm in a deep hole. All those things in mind, it suits my purposes and for the price, its qualities were enough that I decided to keep it. I hope the next version they make takes into account others and my own comments. They are on the right track in many ways, just need a few more tweaks and I'd give it more stars.

Was nervous to order these, but for the price and the reviews, these seemed like the best option for me. I was looking for an entry level pair of bluetooth headphones to use, mostly while running. Cords distract me otherwise.Sound quality, these headphones sound great. I listen to a wide variety of music that challenges headphones sometimes, and these passed fine. Rock or hip hop, vocals all sound good as do the drums, bass, guitar.Comfort quality.. I wear glasses, so I was worried about them being uncomfortable for me, with the loop over the ear style. During my tryout, wearing them for about 20 mins, I found no discomfort. They were actually pretty comfy, light, no noticeable pressure squeezing my brain. So all good there too.No problem at all pairing them up to my Galaxy S3 or my 4th Gen Ipod touch. Hold power button till light blinks, scan using your device, find the headphones, pair, and done. Took about 10 secs to setup, only cause my devices took that long to scan. Haven't noticed any lag in the music either. Stashed my ipod in my backpack, put it on the other side of a room, in pocket, under the bed. No problems with interference so far.My final test will be seeing how these hold up against my run routine. They seem snug and fitting, don't feel any bounce with my stride. I do sweat a lot, and am quite hesitant of seeing how these hold up. Getting any tech gadgets wet, is just bad juju. But running is what I purchased them for, so we'll see how it goes.

These were my first bluetooth headphones! I've had this pair for exactly a year now, and overall I would recommend them.PROS:1.) No wires!! This was such a huge relief for me. I commute by walking quite far and use headphones at work a lot as well, so the wires were a constant annoyance and would always get ruined quickly from being stuffed in my pockets all the time. With this headset you can just hang it around your neck when you aren't using it.2.) Great sound quality.3.) Easy to use and useful button dials for play, pause, next track, volume, and voicedial when making phone calls (assuming your phone is capable of this). It's my main headset for the car because it's easy to make handsfree calls, and the quality is better than the other smaller single earpiece headset I have.4.) More comfortable for me than earbud headphones. I find anything that goes in my ear pretty uncomfortable. The plastic band that goes around your head can get uncomfortable after awhile though. I usually end up wearing these for an hour at a time at most, but a total of several hours in a given day.CONS:1.) They are a bit bulky and make me look like I have "mickey mouse ears" as one co-worker put it. Also doesn't slip into pockets like my old wired set, although it's fine in a bag or purse.2.) Almost ever since I got it I've had the problem where it cuts out intermittently depending on the angle I turn my head. Very annoying at first, but I'd learned to deal with it. It's been getting worse lately though. I've noticed the range has gotten worse as well lately. I wouldn't expect these to last more than a year, but the price isn't too bad for that.3.) They LEAK NOISE worse than any headphones I've ever owned. Even on really low volumes everyone around me can hear my music. I hate this, but it's not a problem when I'm walking to work. I would never use these in a public place like a bus or a plane or office. This is probably my least favorite thing about them.Overall pretty good for the price. When they die I'd consider getting another pair, but more likely I'll look for something that's a bit more comfortable and less noise leaky.

Given the age of this product, I had concerns about its compatability with my iPad and iPhone 4. Spending some time on the discussion boards here on Amazon, I found posts stating that they would work. At $37.99, I decided to take a chance. The first thing I noticed upon receiving my set was how cheap they felt. Everything is made of light-weight, cheap plastic. I am sure this is probably necessary to keep the unit's weight down, but it seems like you could shatter them by breathing on them the wrong way.The instructions were clear and I had no trouble with initial pairing to both my iPhone 4 and my first generation iPad. However, they do not stay paired after being turned off despite what the manual says. On the iPhone 4, it would show the headset connected, but it simply did not work. The only way to make it work was to have the iPhone forget the device and re-pair it. This is a serious flaw and cost it a star.In operation, I found the sound quality to be more than I expected for headphones of this price. The controls work well for controlling the iPhone's music player. The range was also more than I expected. Testing the range at my office, I left my iPad in my office and went into the office next door with the headphones - a distance of 25 feet. There were no drops or losses in sound quality. Finally, the comfort level provided by the S305s was acceptable. Even wearing glasses, I was able to wear them for a considerable period of time (about 90 minutes) without wanting to rip them off. I can't do this with any set of earbuds I have ever tried, so I consider this to be a major plus. The one major drawback with the behind-the-neck bar is that you will NOT be laying down with these headphones on (or sitting up with any kind of support behind your neck). Making the neck loop adjustable would have fixed the problem, but Motorola chose not to do this. Consequently, I dock the S305s another star for not addressing so obvious a need. All in all, the S305s are worth the money if you can live with their shortcomings.

I wear glasses and was concerned about the style of these headphones since I normally use earbud type headphones. I've used Motorola brand headphones in the past and I read the reviews about this model before making my purchase. I wanted to purchase a set of headphones I could use in the gym and while watching movies on my computer. I have used a Bluetooth receiver with my own earbud type headphones, but I wanted to get rid of the cord. Many times, while in the gym, I've had the cord either get hooked on something or pull enough under pressure to take one of the buds out of my ear while lifting. Another reason I wanted to use a bluetooth device was the armband I use is getting too tight and interfering with some of my lifts. Anyway, at this moment I'm listen to music while in my office. The headphones paired up with my iPhone 4 very fast and the quality of the sound is excellent! The base is sufficient and it doesn't drown out the treble notes or voices. The headset is light and there is no pressure on my ears. I wear glasses and I have the back part of the set laying up against the middle of my head and not on my neck (As I stated I'm in the office and not movining much right now.) I'm sure when I'm at the gym I'll try to rest the back portion near my neck, but right now I can lean back in my chair against the headrest and not have any problems with the headset pushing against my glasses. I think the angle of the back portion of the headphones is what others with glasses are complaining about. With the back portion resting on the neck the device will push up against the end part of the glasses. But that issue can be eliminated by resting the back portion up higher on the head as I'm doing right now. Another nice feature about this headset is that it isn't an earbud type. Past Motorola Bluetooth headsets I've had were the earbud modle and they caused a lot of pressure on the ears after wearing more than 20 minutes and the controler for the device was on the neck. That was an issue with me, especially when laying down on a bench trying to bench press or do some other lifting exercise flat on my back. My recommendation is to shop around and read other review. For me, I'm happy with the price and the performance of these headphones. If your looking for something light and easy to use, I would highly recommend trying this model out.

I own all sorts of headphones and ear buds. My best are Etymotic ER-4 microPro ear buds, fabulous, and Grado SR80s, good. For work I have been using Koss's Porta-Pro folding headphone and can easily recommend them for the cost. I consider the PortaPro the best headphones for under $50. I am most certainly NOT an audiophile as any true audiophile would scoff at the cans I use. However, I do not like so-so audio quality either. The Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones were bought hoping I could use them to listen to music from various sources I have at the office. And they fill that bill. I also wanted a decent set of cans. Nothing great, just good enough to keep me un-annoyed. And they seem to do that although getting them to work cleanly with Amarok on my Fedora 16 desktop took some fiddling. They now work and sound as good with my Linux box as with any other box or OS.The S305s work with my Droid Bionic (Android 2.3.4), my Samsung RF511 (Windows7), my Dell 6410(WindowsXP.Pro), and my Dell desktop (Fedora16). It syncs and holds sync well with all of them. The cans are a little dull and bassy sounding. Not horribly so, well OK horribly so when compared to my ER-4's; but otherwise OK compared to my Koss Porta-Pros. Their quality, however, is not as good as the Porta-Pros. For that sort of quality in Bluetooth headphones I suspect one will have to spend $100 or more.Sounds like I might not like them. That's the wrong idea. They are OK for the price. I have walked 60+ feet away from my desk in a cubicle office environment with a high concentration of electronics and they still work. They connect to Asus BT21 Bluetooth dongles or my Bionic. 60 feet isn't shabby at all. They are generally comfortable. If you wear glasses with thick ear pieces and don't have a fat-head (like I do) you will get along with the S305s. Fortunately I have thin ear pieces with my glasses and can adjust the phones to be comfortable enough. My only wish is that I had experience with other Bluetooth headphones so I could judge these better. I don't think you'll hate these headphones; but, I think you'll want to move up as soon as you can afford to.

I bought these headphones maybe a 1.5 years back, so I'm reviewing the lifetime of the product. These guys lasted me a good 1.5 years before they started getting a little weird, which is good for their current retail price!Pros:-Good weight. can barely feel they're there.-Hug nicely to the ear-Good sound quality-Easy to use controlsCons:-If you're not used to this wrap around style, they pinch your ear a little after maybe 1-2 hours of listening, which hurts a bit, but I got used to it after a few months and it was fine.-Connection gets a little weird if using between two devices, takes longer.-Weird sound quirk: Maybe a few months into having these headphones, they started this problem where they'd glitch, and then the music pitch would warp a little up or down, weird is just annoying, especially if you need music to be the right pitch for some reason.-Ear pads started to peel away after about a yearOver all, these guys were a really good pair of headphones. They only lasted about 1.5 years at good quality. They still work, but the left ear pad is almost completely peeled away (I had to put a rubber band around them..) and the pitch problem, and the fuzz a little bit every once in a while. Good charge time, lets you know when they're dying, which is a little annoying. But overall, worth while purchase!

Decent and affordable. I've been using them daily for almost 2 months, and they work fine with my iPhone 4S, and MacBook Air. Since the headset supports multi-pairing, I turn Bluetooth off on the iPhone, and power cycle the headset which then automatically pairs with the Air.Siri also works great. Just press the call button to get Siri's attention.I like this style of headset, and don't ever want to use earbuds again. But here are the cons:1. The headset emits a constant low hissing noise when on. You can't really tell when listening to music or taking a call. But you'll hear it as it powers on.2. Wireless isn't perfect, and it does cut out at times. But I've found that keeping your phone as close to the headset as possible will help. This happens sometimes when I have the phone in my pocket, instead of the mobile phone holster on my backpack strap, making it much closer to the headset.3. When paired to the Air, the headset sometimes plays music at telephone quality reception, instead of what one would hear through headphones. Turning the headset on and off, takes care of this. I'm actually surprised that they work as well as they do on fairly new hardware, as I think these headsets as I don't think the S305 has been updated in the past few years. An overall good value. Will be curious to see how long they'll last.

[Updated Review] My original review is below. I received the most recent Android update (4.2.2) today and apparently the incessant dropout problem was a problem not with the headphones but Bluetooth in the previous version of the Android OS. The update has fully fixed the problem. I've not had a single dropout in a series of several songs and I'm now quite pleased with the headphones. The only quibble remaining is they are very uncomfortable and impractical for lying in bed listening to music. I still pull out my wired Philips headphones for their "fall asleep" comfort. That aside, these are not bad at all and I can now recommend them (although I paid $30 vs. the current price, and might look around a bit more at the current higher price).[Original Review] Most unfortunately, soon after receiving these headphones I found myself in the hospital. Had that not happened, they'd surely have been returned for a refund. Whenever using them, the music drops out for a second or so at least 4 times a minute. I've yet to hear one song play entirely through without a dropout I guess they're covered by warranty now, but I strongly suggest you not waste your time and find something better. I hate them.

This is exactly what I have been looking for: subtle, not terribly pricey, quick pausing without having to look for a button. Why subtle? Because my neighborhood is rated the roughest and most crime-ridden in the country. Not "One Of"; the ACTUAL roughest. I have found protective coloring to be most beneficial as much as a pale, middle class, aging female can be . No flashy clothes, no spectacular car, no obvious beauty or youth. That and trying to be a decent person. It doesn't hurt to pull out the neighbors' trash cans or talk kindly to other people about their kids, dogs and tasty chicken. What can I say? I lucked into renting a beautiful house in a crap part of town and I am actually much happier than in a more tony neighborhood. I like my strange neighbors. So anyway, I luck into an iPhone 4. It was a gift. A very generous, shiny, pretty gift. Do I pull it out late night on the train? Do I flash it about like some fool with a wad of Benjamins, waiting to be mugged? Not a chance. I have deep pockets and there it stays, my Motorolas on my ears, under my hair, under my hat. No one sees the bright white earbuds advertising ownership of a very enviable bit of gear that is incredibly easy to lift and fence. Easier not to be envied, easier to be calmer, easier to pause a conversation and give all you attention to the odd stranger asking for directions, just a quick tap to your right ear and you are ready to converse with your environment.Discrete, small, dark, unshiny. Perfect.Downsides? The battery life last about nine hours of Terry Gross, which is about as much as I can take anyways. The volume buttons are confusing and I have given up using them. The 'phones themselves can feel kind of flimsy, but that's fine if you are not prone to stepping on them. I've not had the best of luck using them in a phone function, but the less I talk on the phone the happier I am.So enjoy your life. Try to be kind and if you can't manage that, keep it to yourself. Please remember: If you flaunt it, expect to have it trashed. It's just a bit of advice.

Have own these headphones since October 2009 (it is May 2010 at the time of writing this)... constant almost daily use of them for training at the gym. Today I'm ordering again to replace them due to what I call normal wear and tear, but couldn't be more happier with them.About me and my use of them:Go to the gym 5 out of 7 days of the week, 2 of those days are intense cardio workouts where I have to change clothing at the end because of the sweat (imagine running 5 kilometers in 30 minutes). The other 3 days also include cardio but no that intense. Own an Ipod Touch 3G and a BlackBerry 8520, both successfully paired with the headset. Same for the desktop PC using a kinda generic bluetooth usb adapter. My main use for them is music, with seldom use as telephone wireless headset. The Facts:* Sweat Resistance. Before purchasing these I did some research of wireless headphones for the gym and always found the same problem. Sweat eventually get into the electronics and short them, either by direct contact or by evaporation and condensation... As I said, as far as I know it is a problem with every single model on the market, even those "designed for sports". Keeping that in mind, the fact that the S305 is still going strong after 7 months of constant use speak very highly of this model... It had it's up-and-downs with sweat (keep reading) but I'm listening to music on them while writing this. In a nutshell, bough expecting to replace them after 3 or 4 months, so they surpassed my expectations. During my 7 months of use I had like 3 episodes of the controls becoming non-responding (but the audio still working) and 3 episodes where the headphones shut down completely because of sweat penetration. Every episode resolved itself by letting the device to dry by air contact. Given how hard I'm on them I'm not complaining.* Audio Quality. I'm no audiophile but I'm picky with my music and wired headphones, compared to those the S305 place near the top. Loud when you need them to be, rich and deep sound that let you appreciate the nuances of music. IMO they are better suited for Pop and Rock than for Instrumental, but still good performers overall.* Persistence of the Connection. Once the pairing is made and you are past the first 3 seconds of audio you are in a basically bulletproof connection. It seems to work by keeping an internal cache of data (I'm guessing about 1.5 second long) so if the connection is lost you don't notice. Due to the audio buffer this headphones ARE NOT SUITABLE for applications where the audio has to be in perfect sync with video. In other words, forget about watching YouTube videos, DVDs or fast paced PC games. The audio will always be slightly behind on those cases. For phone calls it seems to automatically disable the cache (or it is seriously reduced). It hasn't been a problem with phone calls so far.* Fitting. I wear glasses and so far it hasn't been a problem. On machines where you rest your head completely against the seat you might need to readjust the neck band a little, but nothing extraordinary. The sponges did start to deteriorate about 1 month ago and that's the main reason why I'm replacing them. It is true that the controls make a 'clacking' plastic sound when you walk, but it is faint and easily drowned by the music. You need to jerk your head really violently for it to become annoying (and I guess you have more serious problems by that point ;-)* Remote Audio Control. The remote functions doesn't really work on the Ipod (that's Apple's decision, not a fault on the device). The only control that work is the Play/Pause button but you have to be on the music player screen for it. Otherwise you are left with the Ipod controls only. For the BlackBerry EVERY single control works, even if you are doing something non music related.* Battery Life. I charge them each two or three days, and use them from 2 to 3 hours each day. Until recently no problem keeping the charge. Lately the battery has needed daily charging but I guess that's due to battery fatigue (something that happens to every rechargeable battery). Since you can't replace the battery yourself and I keep forgetting to charge daily, there is the second reason for ordering a replacement. Bonus points for using a micro-usb port for the charger, that means that it can be recharged by the same BlackBerry charger (even though the BB use a slightly higher volt rating, proceed at your own risk).

You can't beat the price, the clarity and performance but these puppies ave FRAGILE! I've lost two pair as the earpieces twisted and broke off.. Dangling by the wires. When I received the first pair they arrived in the clamshell package broken... Earpieces twisted and dangling by the wires. I was sure this was a fluke... The sender made good on a new pair. These lasted a short time and when I realized they broke the same way the others had arrived I recognized the design flaw. I did manage to use duct tape to shore them up but eventually had to ditch them. When I purchased my second pair I vowed to treat them gently... The earphones, reinforced with duct tape, were sturdier. I was careful with them... But the problem is that I occasionally carry my earphones in my bag. They eventually broke and I had to throw these away too.So why am I coming back... Well first I know that I can't carry these in a bag... But I'm willing to treat them gingerly... They are more delicate than my Rx glasses. For $33 I'll get another pair... The Bluetooth headset I use now is sturdier but a more bulky on the ear model. I can wear these walking and moving around and bend down without them falling off. My others fall off!I wish Motorola would reinforce the headset... Maybe I'll glue some reinforcing wire onto the headset before they break....

The Motorola S305 headphones are really a delight to use. They fit me well, even with my glasses on, though they have no adjustments so others might not fare as well.Music sound quality is better than I expected--clear and responsive in a broad range, neither boomy nor tinny. But you won't mistake them for circumaural or in-ear. There isn't a lot of sound isolation. You'll hear the outside world and they'll hear your music if it's loud. Not any better or worse than other on-ear headphones in my experience.I can listen to music on and off all day and have a couple of hours of phone calls without running out of battery. The headset charges in about an hour and can be charged from USB, though you can't listen to them while they're charging. It's not very specific in the product description, but these headphones are fully functional with my iPhone 3GS with no extra adapters or such. Just pair it and go. Couldn't be easier.Bluetooth connectivity is very good. I've experienced no stutters or hitches while within a reasonable distance of my iPhone. Pairing is easy. The phone button activates Voice Command on the iPhone, which allows you both to dial and to select music. It's nice that the headset has seven buttons, disguised but intuitively arranged. Some smaller headphones with fewer buttons require you to remember weird long-press short-press sequences to access functions. The play/pause button mutes while in a phone call, which is very convenient.I was very surprised that this is an excellent headset for phone calls. Callers say I sound clear and loud, even when I'm in a noisy place. I can hear them perfectly. This is better than the previous two bluetooth headsets I've had that were made for phone calls only.I agree with other reviewers that the headset feels insubstantial. It's nice that they're light, but I do worry about their durability. The packaging was that really hard plastic stuff and was a nightmare to open. The manual is succinct and lucid. All told, very satisfied with this purchase, and would be even if I had paid $20 more.

Ok, far from being a layperson, I've fought a lot of tech battles...from harddrives to bus-controllers to USB-wireless vs Bluetooth...but let me tell you, this headset almost got me! Knowing just one or two details would have taken a 2-day nightmare with calls to Motorola, and turned it into a 30-minute install job...HERE'S WHAT FEW KNOW OR ARE SAYING...If you happen to have cool integrated Bluetooth...hey...this isn't for you, probably. Maybe it is...and is good to remember, just in case. If you are like me, with a mid-range laptop, and want to use these MOTOROKR S305 headphones on a PC, instead of a smartphone, then heads-up...you are going to need something that does not come with the headphones...you'll need a Bluetooth dongle...like the $12 IOGEAR GBU421 that I picked up. Hey, its tiny, its got good range...and the drivers for it are OLD!Well, thinking this was 'plug and play', I just dropped the chip into my computer, which said it recognized it...and then I went to ripping open the package of the S305 headphones and tried to pair it to the dongle. Said it worked, but the pairing light kept flashing that it didn't. So, no sound, no music, no speech...what gives. I uninstall the headphones, and re-do it all again...FIVE TIMES! Ok...the headphones don't come with drivers...so what's up? A quick look on Motorola's website doesn't give drivers for this Bluetooth critter...so I call their service line...who I stumped...and sadly to say, was rude to in the end.Well, I go back, start searching more...and right before I am about to box it all up and send it back to Amazon for refund...I find that the IOGEAR GBU421 dongle has a driver update for March 2011, a month ago. SO...I download it, install it, reboot, play with uninstalling and re-installing the pairing on the headphones again...and...THEY NOW WORK!The drivers to make the connection for the Bluetooth headphones are contained upstream, in the Bluetooth Dongle! If I had known this, I could have had them working a day ago...gotta love the information releases from the IT geniuses. Anyway, they work, they have great sound, they have a range of about 20-feet clear, 30-feet total...and they have a built-in microphone...sadly to say, this function doesn't work so elegantly on a PC...it is rather cluttered and noisy with chatter and reverb...but the audio is great...and they hold a charge for about 6-hours...so you can game on Warhammer, or whatever, until it is time to charge them again!Overall...a bit of information like "If they fail to work, the culprit is your Bluetooth Dongle" would have been a great one-liner in the S305 manual...and also keep in mind, they are more-geared towards smart tablets and smartphones...and Motorola seemed more-than-a-bit-lost, even on their tech side, as to the fact that they even worked with a PC...So, all this together, I gave them a 4-star rating...could be a strong-3, for the fact that the built-in microphone isn't all that when it comes to VOIP calls online, either...but I like them for keeping me out of a headphone tangle while gaming. Worth the $30...but little more.

I wanted to give this product 5 stars because even though there are a couple of respectable drawbacks I still use them a lot. 3.5 stars would be more accurate, I think...I listen to a lot of music and I listen to it most of the day while at work. My tastes are mixed. Everything from Motzart to Steve Roach (ambient) to Rush (progressive rock) to pop (tons of 80's 90's). I wanted wireless music from my DroidX2 phone which is what I use.The Good: The electronics work well. Pretty darn good sound quality but I have a pair of $10 ear buds that have a better bass sound than these. Even so, the sound quality is easily acceptable unless you are really into hearing the slightest instrumental nuances in your music. I'm very happy with the sound. The ability to use this product for a phone headset is fantastic. I mean it's really good. Incoming voice is very clear and I have yet to hear a complaint about my transmitions. I really like that the caller's voice is in both of my ears. Absolutely no compaints as it does exactly what it is supposed to do.Works great with my laptop after using a Medialink - USB Bluetooth Adapter which fits right into my laptop's USB port. The bad: The erganomics of these headphones are not as good as they should be. It will hurt my head after while. I can only assume that a smaller head would have less trouble. I wear a 7 1/2 hat size which puts me at a med/small and I will get sore ears and/or a headache after wearing these for an hour or more.Having said that, it isn't so uncomfortable that I have to take them off until I've been at it for 3 or 4 hours. I listen to them at work so that amount of time isn't always enough. Of course ideally they wouldn't give me a headache at all. ;-)The controls aren't so easy to use. The raised + / - signs that indicate the up and down volumn buttons aren't very helpful. I have just gotten used to 'knowing' where to press for volumn control. The Skip Forward and Backward in playlist bottons don't seem to work with PowerAMP which is a very popular app I use on my Droid. Finally, the plastic loop that runs behind your neck and connects the two speakers WILL WARP IF LEFT IN THE SUN AND WILL NOT BEND BACK. I left mine in the car for about an hour and the loop is now a bit more curved on one side than it should be making the headphones a tad less comfortable to wear. I should have known but just didn't think about it.In conclusion I would recommend these headphones because they do what is advertised and aren't too uncomfortable to wear for my head size so long as it's not for more than 3 hours or so at a time. Your mileage will likely vary by size comparison.

These things are awesome - I use them all day streaming music from about 8am to 9pm. Battery life is great. I have only ever heard them beep for low battery once and that was before i had broken the battery in. Now I put it on the charger when I go to bed and 4 hours later when I wake up they last me all day. They far exceeded my expectations in this field. I figured they'd be dead after about 6 hours - they over double that. For the most part, they are relatively comfortable but once in a while, the band does start to cut into my ears.It could be that they are turned to an odd position but 95% of the time it's not a problem. If you have ever worn the old Sony headphones with the same relative design - they do not have guards that keep them comfortably lifted and the plastic is thicker so it does take some getting used to.Ive never had a problem using these with my phone. In fact, they love each other. The button positions are easy to use and [imo] intuitive. They do have their own volume controls are operated separately from the device which is a plus.Connection has a wide range. I can leave my phone at my desk and remain connected in the bathroom approximately 40 feet away.At home, my phone stays in my bedroom and i have reception from all corners of my 1700 square foot house. Range is great. Some people with the iphone commented on the reciever cutting off if your body is in the way - I'm not sure if they increased the strength of the transmitter but it has never been a problem for me.In calls I'm told it sounds like I'm not even using a headset and the soundquality is great for both music and calls.I love them so much, 3 of my friends purchased them on my recommendation and every one loves them.

I am a 17 year old active student. So you can already think about how much music I listen to with these headphones. I've had these headphones for two years now and loving them still. Now enough about me and on to the review. First of all let's talk about the build quality.Build QualityThese headphones are durable and long lasting. They have withstood being dropped on the floor as well as getting a little wet from rain. Now these headphones feel like they are made out of some kind of hard plastic, but in overall usage these headphones do well in durability.SoundWhat you really came for. These headphones have adequate sound, I use apps to boost the sound. The one thing that compliments these headphones is the amazing bass you get n them. I listen to a variety of music. I tried "Rack City" by Tyga for bass quality and was speechless. At some parts I have to actually turn down the volume as I like to play it with the max setting.Bluetooth DistanceThe distance you can travel with these headphones and without your device is not that far, but it is still sufficient. I would say about 30 feet is about the max amount of space you could have.I have at times left my phone in my room and continued to listen to music downstairs, but the music would start to break up if i went further.ComfortThese headphones hug on your ears. With me they also touch the back of my neck. These are comfortable to listen to as I used them while I was on a trip to D.C. Over time of consistently having these on you may suffer some pain and take them off, but only minor nothing excruciating.OverallThese headphones are great for their price. Great sound and durability. I would give these headphones a 4.5/5

I bought my original S305 at least 2 years ago. I loved it so much, I bought my two daughters the same headphones. I like the behind the head fit. I have a large head and wear glasses and I find them comfortable. Neither of my daughters fell in love with the behind the head style. I have worn the units a lot while watching movies on my iPad and music on my iPhone or iPod with a bluetooth adapter. The headphones sync easily with every device I have used them with. I have been given good reports from people I have spoken to on the phone although I almost never talk on the headsets. They have tolerated sweat to the point where the foam pads were soaking wet and still worked after a little dry time. The battery life doesn't seem to have diminished after approximately 2 years of heavy use. I carry them in a bag when I leave the house in the event I get stuck somewhere and want to watch a movie or listen to music. They have tolerated rough handling and while they appear flexible or flimsy, they have yet to fail.I have recently bought a second copy in the event my original bites the dust because I am worried they will be discontinued and I will have to find a different unit to replace. I have also bought a Motorola SD-10 that my daughter inherited because I didn't care for them. I also bought a LG Tone HBS-700 and while they sounded good, I experienced frequent audio dropout while listening to music or movies. Between the original unit, a backup unit and my daughters and gifts, I think my count is 6 or 7 of these purchased. So there you have it. A glowing review. Buy them for under $40, if you like them half as much as I do, you will get good value!Paul

These work. Pair quickly and easily and sound quality is good. However, I am disappointed in the build of these headphones. They are made of cheap plastic. All of my phones have been Motorolas: Droid 2, Droid 2 Global, Droid X, and Droid X2. Before that, is was the Motorola Razr and Krazr. The reason that I stick with Motorola is that they have been very dependable for me. These headphones are not up to par.I could easily snap these in half by stepping on them or if one of the kids were to get ahold of them, they'd be goners for sure. I would feel unsafe wearing these outside, around the pool, or even just in my car traveling with them to hotels and such. I will only use these at home due to the poor build.Step it up, Motorola. It is a common assumption that a full bluetooth headset should sound better than a one piece bluetooth. However, my Motorola Finiti has better sound quality than these. I would recommend looking elsewhere or try out the Motorola Finiti. Great sound quality for music and puts this product to shame. Step it up, Motorola, and don't cheapen down your brand name that I have came to know and love.Based on the reviews, it appears that I am in the minority as far as being disappointed by these but I'm always totally honest in my reviews and I was honestly disappointed by this headset.Motorola FINITI Bluetooth Headset - Motorola Premium Packaging

You are buying these headphones so that you can lose the cord, and keep your iphone in your bag/pocket/jacket. These are workhorse headphones to use for your commute, your workout, your walks, your runs, your ourdoor life. They work well, they are light, they are durable, and they are cheap. When they finally break, like mine (~12 months), replace them. They're only 35 bucks.Sound quality: Not bad, but nothing special. You wont be counting the milliseconds that you can hear the triangle resonate at the back of the orchestra, but you will be able to hear your music with reasonable clarity. They are loud enough to keep listening while the A train comes to a screeching halt next to you.note - On a bluetooth signal, it seems that they have a slight encoding delay, as the bluetooth is streaming data to the headphone, which then decodes it into sound. Playing games on these headphones is a little problematic for that reason. If you are just listening to music, though, its no big deal.Durability: Very good. When you first pick them up, they feel very light and cheap. But the lightness masks the fact that you can bend these suckers all over and they wont snap or break. I have stepped on them more times than I can count, and I throw them in my bag regularly where they are crushed flat. They come out working fine. I exercise several times a week with them, and they get wet from sweat. I make no effort to protect them, and they have worked until now (12 months). I figure for a 40 dollar investment, it's pretty good. I made no effort to protect these headphones.Comfort: Fair. These are not your velvet covered circumaural Sennheisers, people. Lets be reasonable. They dont hurt your ears if you listen for long periods of time, and they dont mess with your glasses (unless you have HUGE glasses, but thats your own fault, really. Really.) The black plastic frame is not thick and it wont pinch you, but you need to get used to how it sits. Sometimes you need to adjust it a bit, but really this is a result of the behind the head design. They will get the job done, and you wont be hurting after you use them. But they wont give you a massage either.Compatibility: Excellent. The iphone has notoriously picky bluetooth support, and these work great with the iphone. The range is excellent too. I can leave my iphone in my bag, and leave the bag at the entrance to a store, and walk 30-40 feet into the store without losing signal, behind shelves full of stuff. The range on these cans is similar to the range of a normal wireless telephone. Not the ridiculous kind, but the regular kind. These cans just work when it comes to the bluetooth stuff.Microphone and calls: Works fine. No complaints, from myself or people calling me. It doesnt sound funny when they hear your voice through the mic, even though the mic is by your ear. However, if you use an iphone, you need to get used to the fact that the iphone has to choose sources - if you get a call, it will initially ring on the phone, then default over to the headphones. If you want to take the call on the iphone itself, you'll need to select a menu and tell it to use the iphone, or turn off the headphones. This is really a software thing on the iphone, since it's assuming you are taking the call on the headphones (a reasonable assumption, really).Price: These are pretty darned cheap. When I look for headphones, I normally go for quality over quantity. But for what you will use these for - working out, commuting, walking outside, etc - do you really want an expensive pair of headphones that someone will want to steal, or that you will have to worry about breaking? I've got a great pair of sennheiser cans at home for listening, and another pair of Koss at work for privacy. These phones arent for quality, nor are they for privacy - they're just for listening on the go. If they get busted, stolen, lost, whatever - cheap headphones are easier to replace. It's good that these are inexpensive. Since they get the job done, why pay more? Conclusions: make sure you are buying these for the specific purpose of going outside or commuting or working out. If you are buying for those purposes, these are perfect for you.

Ужасно

I purchased these headphones about 8 months ago. I used them for commuting on the train to listen to music and videos on my iphone and the occasional phone call. Initially they worked really well and were very comfortable, they synchronized to my iphone perfectly, the controls were fantastic, although they never got loud enough to block out 100% of the noise around me, but the headphones never made that claim - I am totally fine with that.About 3 months ago, they stopped charging and would not retain a charge when plugged-in and I even tried different outlets, but to no avail. When I went to the Motorola website, I was not able to find any support information for them. I decided to use the site's live chat function, and the representative told me that I would have to purchase new headphones, which was very disappointing. If you are looking for a solid bluetooth headset, these are pretty good, but be forewarned that Motorola's support of them is horrible and the battery life is short. This is NOT a long-term solution product, which is probably the reason why they are so discounted currently.Other brands of headphones that I have purchased from Skull Candy, Shure, Samsung, and Plantronics are solid and worth the extra spend, since these companies do stand behind their products.I personally doubt I will buy another Motorola product in the near future. I would encourage you to take the time, do the research, and CHECK THE DATE of the reviews before to buying a set of bluetooth headphones, most of the reviews on this product are from 2009.

I bought these headphones so I wouldn't have to remove my gloves or take my phone out to answer/hangup the phone or pause/play my music. The button on the headphone which allows me to do those actions are big enough so I can have my gloves on and still be able to control those basic actions via the headphone as well as move your music tracks forward or backwards. You will have to remove your gloves though when adjusting the volume since those buttons are smaller and require more tactile sensation.Pairing the phone was extremely easy and simple. Call quality is excellent and the person you are speaking too really has no idea you are using a wireless headphone; no echoing or diminished volume. The only drawback to these headphone, other than looking like a Star Wars character (you will receive less of these comments now that Beats Audio has made it cool again to wear big over the head headphones again), is that the wrap around stem of the headphone rubs up against your jacket collar or scarf giving you the eerie feeling that if you were to turn your head to the right/left or up/down that the headphones may fall off. This hasn't happened to me but every time I turn my head it sure feels like it would. These headphones are better suited for use indoors and for limited use in the gym. Although they are great in the winter because they keep you ears warm, they do rub against your jacket collar. In the summer, wearing them will make you feel too warm/hot. In the gym they are good when exercising on cardio/aerobic equipment, so long as you are not a heavy sweater. The foam on the ear pieces will absorb your sweat. They are good for weight training so long as you don't perform any exercises lying on your back or use a weight machine where the back support is higher than your shoulders. As for the build of the headphones they do feel flimsy and are difficult to store. I've put them in my backpack and they have bent slightly but returned to normal shape after having them on for a while. I usually just hang them around my neck when I'm outdoors. For the price they are a great investment and if you can tolerate the above mentioned drawbacks, go ahead and purchase one.

I bought these music headphones/phone headset directly from Motorola when they first came out, so I have been using them now for five months. I was waiting a long time for something like this and they have exceeded all my expectations. You can download the quick start user guide from Motorola here:http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/US-EN/Mobile%20Phones%20Accessories/S305/US-EN/_Documents/Static%20Files/S305_QSG_EN_SP_68000201969A.pdfFit: 5 out of 5.I wear glasses so fit was crucial for me, and they work perfectly fine while wearing them. I often wear them while riding my bike along the lakefront at Chicago, and they fit perfectly at the back of my head below the edge of my bike helmet.Sound: 5 out of 5.I continue to be amazed at the sound on these, deep rich bass and many subtle sounds. Also they have lots of volume. I first set the volume at max on my cellphone, which is a free-on-contract Motorola EM330 music phone. At top volume these headphones are loud enough for me to hear them on Chicago's subway train (the EL). Some snobby audiophiles complain that these are not as good as their wired $200 headphones while listening in a totally silent room. Some people cannot be pleased! Also if you don't first max your volume on your cellphone you won't get the best quality sound. Also since they are not in my ear canal, and not completely surrounding my ear to block out the sound, I find them to be quite safe since I can still hear the world around me while on my bicycle. While on a call the person on the other end does not know I am using a blue tooth headset.I hear the sound of the call in both ears and the microphone is high quality, and you have to search for the little elongated mic hole to point it out to people who ask about your headphones!Features: 5 out of 5.Your cellphone must have the correct bluetooth profiles for these to work fully: A2DP (Audio Profile), AVRCP (Remote Control Profile). Many APPLE products DO NOT HAVE AVRCP and then their users INCORRECTLY COMPLAIN about the headphones missing the capabiliy of next track and previous track. These headphones feature the following abilities:* Take calls (press the telephone button at the top flat side to pickup).* Make calls (press and hold the telephone button to call the last number dialled).* Reject a call (press either the next track or previous track button)* Mute/Unmute a call (press the Play/Pause button)* Play music (press the play/pause button at the bottom flat side to play or pause)* Pause music (press the play/pause button)* Stop music (press and hold the play/pause button)* Next track (press the next track button at the right flat side)* Previous track (press the previous track button at the right flat side)* You can also fast-forward or rewind by holding either the next track or previous track button.* The volume controls are on the top edge along with the power button. The volume buttons have ridges you can feel with your finger, and when you increase the volume the headphones make a indicator sound increasing or reducing in volume/tone.* Also depending on the capabilities of your phone you may be able to use these for voice control of your phone, by pressing and holding the make a call button.Connection: 4.5 out of 5.They receive the music through walls and even downstairs as I walk around in my condo listening to the music. They actually do receive up to 33 feet away! So far away that I sometimes forget where I left my phone while I am listening to music on it!When I am out walking and they are in my left side back pocket, I sometimes (but quite rarely) lose connection for a second, due I think to my body mass blocking the signal. I think the Bluetooth receiver is in the right side of the headphones, so if I move the phone to the front or right pocket, or even turn it over, the problem goes away. However, this rare problem may also be due to the phone not this headset.Controls: 5 out of 5.Having so many controls in such a small space is initially confusing, but you can soon the get hang of it and certainly is done by one hand. I do not stop my bike just to change tracks! I usually have no problems clicking the correct button with my right hand.If I am slightly confused I can feel for lump where the headband is connected on the right, just beside this is the next-track button. Directly back from it is the back track, which I use to repeat a favorite song. Straight down is play/pause.Usage Tips:Set the volume of your music player to the maximum, and then control the volume using the headphones. In this way you get the best quality sound and the highest range of volume. At the start of music day, I power up the headphones and they make a pleasing chirp sound in my ears. Then I just press the PLAY button. The phone then communicates with the headphones making the two bluetooth connections (audio and remote control) while I hear a bleep each time. Then the music starts. At this point I lock the buttons on my phone to prevent it for switch
