I got this headset to replace this one: Creative Wireless HS-1200 Gaming Headset (Black). Not by choice. I am not a big fan of Motorola products. I wanted to get the HS1200 again because I have been very pleased with it. However, I bought it at another site and my replacement warranty was only good there and they aren't stocking it right now. So...There are a lot of things to like about the S305.I have two laptops and a cell phone. I have paired all three with the headphones so it is very simple to switch from device to device as needed. One laptop has built-in bluetooth support (Acer Aspire V5-531-4636 15.6-Inch HD Display Laptop (Black)) and I bought an adapter for the other one: IOGEAR Bluetooth 4.0 USB Micro Adapter (GBU521).The sound is excellent. The volume is good depending on the source. The signal is good with zero interference when connected to either laptop. I have found that when connected to the phone if I get too far away the signal starts breaking up but that is in the house with a few (thin) walls between the headset and the phone.Another nice discovery about the BT is that I can actually go outside a little ways before the connection drops out. With the HS1200 that was impossible. As soon as I stuck my head out the door the connection would drop.As long as your paired device has AVRCP capability, you can control your media player with the headset. For me, the most important thing is the ability to pause the recording. You can also do next/back track selection and (!) Seek forward/backward. Of course, with great power comes great responsibility and it is very easy to push the button improperly and move forward instead of seeking forward which is mighty annoying but a drawback pretty much all devices with this feature share. As for phone calls, I haven't really used it much but according to Mom, she couldn't tell I was on the headset when I answered the phone using it a few days ago.Battery life has been excellent so far! Much better than the HS1200. I haven't had it die on me yet despite many hours off the charger. That is a big difference from the other headset that was draining battery power at all times when not specifically off.A huge drawback, maybe your deal breaker, is that you cannot use the headphones while they are being charged. It might have stopped me from getting the S305 but I was so spoiled with the HS1200 I totally forgot to check on that feature when I clicked the order button. I'm happy to say that I doubt that will be much of an issue with this headset (and probably any BT headset) since BT devices are built from the ground up with long stand-by times as a primary design feature. For example, I get up at say 7am and take them off the charger. I use them throughout the day to listen to podcasts but I frequently take them off and set them aside. I have gone as late as 1am with no signs of the battery getting low! Wow! The HS1200 was maybe 5 hours max off the charger without going dead. While I could plug them in and still use them the primary benefit of being wireless was lost as I was once again chained to the computer.I must mention comfort. It sucks. They suck. They make my left ear sore right where the top of my ear joins my skull. I do not have a huge noggin nor a particularly small one either. Pretty average I think. However, like the HS1200, it is possible to shift them to relieve the pain. I simply wear them over the ear instead of tucked behind that ear for a while. It is possible to actually share the headset between two devices. That is called multi-connect from what I've read. The Motorola web site has pretty good instructions for how to have an mp3 player and the phone share the connection at the same time. It does not work, at least I couldn't get it to work, between the phone and the laptop. I'm guessing it is because of a conflict of supported bluetooth profiles. An mp3 player can't make calls. You may swing it but I gave up.[Edit 07/13/2012:Just a quick edit. The feature to be connected to more than one device at the same time is called 'Multi-Use' not multi-connect. I don't think this headset is actually multi-use. I followed the directions carefully and failed several times before giving up. I do believe that you could connect an mp3 player and the phone but not two devices that are capable of making phone calls like a laptop and the phone. If you were able to do that I'd be very eager to hear how you did it and I'll update the review accordingly. Here is one that I found that specifically says it can connect two phones (or the computer and your phone) at one time: Jabra HALO2 Bluetooth Stereo Headset - Retail Packaging - Black. At first glance, it also appears that you can use it while charging but on further reading it doesn't actually say that. The Jabra can be used as a wired headset with a 3.5mm jack but not specifically while charging. Dunno. Be sure and read the negative reviews to make sure you know what you are getting./edit]For the money I am very pl

No product is ever perfect and yet many are given 5 stars, and that's the basis I'm going with. These headphones, even with their flaws, are as close as you can get.Sound:Pro - The sound is amazingly clear and has a great range of volume. Volume is also independant of the device you're using it with so you can increase the sound on both the device and the headphones. Given the large range on the headphones alone, this isn't all that necessary, but on the off chance you need further tweaking it's like having twice the range (because you do). Like I said the sound is crisp and clear. I was actually surprised due to the price. They are also pretty good at canceling outside noise, and not blasting into the area around you. I can listen to music at a pretty decent volume and not bother others, nor have to hear outside noise. This might actually be a problem tho, because if you leave them on on the desk or table you probably won't notice unless they're turned all the way up.Con - On occasion the sound comes out in a bad quality when using with my PC. I don't know if it's an issue with the headphones, connection (there may be interference) or laptop, but it happens. This is usually corrected by simply turning the headphones off and then back on to let them reconnect. I actually have 2 pairs of these and they both did it. I've recently given the second pair to my girlfriend and she hasn't reported the issue, but that doesn't mean it's not happening as I warned it might and how to fix it when I gave them to her, so maybe it happens every day and she just handles on her own it. I'll check on that.note - if you're the kind of person that wants crazy bass or likes fiddling with settings and whatever other stuff, I don't know how these will do for you. The bass isn't amplified like on some other headphones; it sounds how its recorded/playing.Mic:Pro - works, is clear, easily understood, and if you have an iPhone you're better off with the mic in these than the built in one. Nobody has ever complained they can't hear me. I also use these on my computer for online gaming, and there were no problems there either, as long as the mic points to your mouth. I say that because I usually rest the neck wrap thing on my neck which angles the mic a little higher (around my nose), so when using them online I just had to rotate them a little which made no difference aside from bumping into my high backed chair on occasion. That was annoying, but very specific to my setup/comfort.Con - sort of. Like I said, the mic is very specific, so you have to point it at your mouth but it's only sort of a con since because of it's directional-ness it doesn't pick up ambient noise as much when you're outside or something.Comfort:Pro - At first there was a slight pinch around the ear, and the wrap was uncomfortable, but that quickly went away and now they are comfortable enough that I forget I have them on. They are lightweight and loose enough to not be restrictive, but there is never a fear they may fall off because of the way they wrap around the ear and head.Con - The closest thing to a con is that the wrap around the neck is so stiff. It would be nice if it could be shaped and/or adjusted, but that's more of a preference thing than anything. It is very flexible and can fit a wide range of sizes easily and comfortably, but it would be nice if it was a soft rubber or a form keeping material for custom fitting. This would also solve my high back chair bumping mic direction "problem."Quality:Pro - As I said the sound quality is fantastic, but another reviewer mentioned build quality being "cheap." I don't know what the criteria for this is, but I haven't found them to be of poor quality at all. They are lightweight and flexible, and require a light touch to make the buttons work, but I imagine that's the point of a portable headset, so I'm not sure how I would rate these in regard to quality. I've dropped them a few times from about 3-5 feet and thought to myself "that's it... they're done..." but they're still good.Con - I guess it's lightweight and flimsy? I'm not sure. If you don't take care of your stuff or are prone to sitting on things I guess these won't last very long, but I don't think they're any more prone to break than other headphones. I've been using them nearly every day for about 3-4 years now and they're in great condition.Ease of use:Pro - Super easy. Buttons are very responsive, different tones provide feedback as to what you're doing in a clear and non-intrusive way. Button positioning is comfortable. Headphones turn on and sync very quickly, and turn off just as quick.Con - Button placement takes some getting used to, but not long.So all in all, there are a few flaws, but really, they're amazing headphones, and the flaws are so minor or situationally specific for a product I've used literally nearly every single day with my PC, so as not to disturb the houshold, for nearly 4 years that provides excellent sound, excellent mic,

The main reason NOT to buy this product is its deplorable packaging: Imagine an encasement suitable for, say, a time capsule. After you've spent a few minutes trying to be clever in locating the non-existent "secret access"--perforations? sliding panel? snapping cover?--you start entertaining more brute-force implements, such as pruners, hammers, and even blasting caps.Unfortunately, since the intractably hard plastic is molded around the more delicate and pliable headset, any progress in opening the package will surely damage the product. And although I did manage to cut a corner off without lacerating my fingers, I hadn't really gotten very far, because the plastic would neither crack any further nor tear along a seam.Of course, I finally did extract my headphones from their Lucite tomb; but there is absolutely no excuse for such user-UNfriendly packaging. I spent at least 20 minutes wrestling with it, and the annoying crackling sounds were heard all through the house. I won't even go into the environmental damage caused by the manufacture and "disposal" of this stuff; "reduce, reuse, and recycle" simply doesn't even apply here. End of rant.I bought a Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset for a specific purpose--so I could have some quiet while my SO was watching programs and movies on our new Vizio XVT323SV Internet TV. We didn't need the headphones for use with either our computers or our cellphones, but that may change. The Vizio TV has Bluetooth, although the only headphones guaranteed to work with it are their own. (This in itself was dismaying: In one sentence the user manual said, "The [onscreen] menu allows you to pair (activate) your VIZIO remote control and other Bluetooth devices to work with your HDTV.", and the next one read, "Future automatic product updates may add support for other Bluetooth devices.")So we had basically two buying choices: the Vizio Bluetooth headphones, or someone else's. The reviews indicated some "fit" problems with the Vizios, and fit was important to me, so I read the reviews of the other half-dozen or so Bluetooth headphones and finally chose the Motorola S305. I could not find any information anywhere, including a call to Vizio TV tech support, that affirmed that the S305 would pair up with a Vizio XVT323SV TV. So I knew I was taking a big chance.[In my searching, however, I did discover a very cool website, the Motorola Bluetooth Device Pairing simulator [...] It simulates (and leads you through) the exact sequence of steps you must execute in pairing a given Motorola device with various MP3 players, game consoles, and dozens of cellphones. Unfortunately, it doesn't address pairing the Motorola headphones with any internet TVs :-( ]Perhaps now you can understand my frustration with the difficulty opening the headphone package! My expectation was to slide the package open with a minimum of disruption so that I could easily return the headphones if I couldn't get it to pair up with the TV. But, as you have probably guessed, the two DID in fact pair up . . . not without a hitch or two, but nothing that some better-written user instructions couldn't clear up. For anyone who might be scanning the reviews, let me emphasize:THE Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset DOES PAIR UP WITH THE VIZIO XVT323SV TV! If you wish to do this, please note the following:1. The onscreen instructions on the Vizio TV are faultless.2. Before you start the pairing process, press the TV remote's VIA button, select the "HDTV Settings" App, select TV Settings/Audio and turn the Bluetooth Audio setting ON. The default is OFF, and, if you don't turn it ON, then, at the end of an apparently successful pairing process, the headphones' status indicator light will flash "4 times rapidly" every 3 seconds, which its manual says means "Unconnected--retry the pairing procedure". Actually, it only means (in the case of the Vizio TV) that you're not connected; once you turn the above Bluetooth TV Audio setting ON, you ARE connected and ready to listen.3. During pairing the TV will ask for a passcode, and the headphone user guide tells you what to key in--mine said 0000. You can key in the digits using either the channel keys on the remote or the numeric keys on its pullout keyboard. However, to complete the input, DO NOT use the remote's "OK" or "Enter" buttons (sigh . . . as I did): Instead, use the remote to click on the "CONNECT" menu item on the screen.4. After you are connected, you can use the TV remote's Mute button to silence the output to the TV's speakers; luckily, it does not affect the Bluetooth Audio output, so you can still listen through the headphones. There is also a setting under TV Settings/Audio called TV Speakers, which the manual says turns the internal speakers off and on; I haven't yet tried it to see how it affects the Bluetooth output.OK, I know I haven't written anything about the headphone qualities of construction, ease of use, or sound; you'll f

I didn't have great expectations when purchasing the S305s. Sure, the reviews were decent, but there were a fair number of people who had problems with the headphones, and I always take positive reviews with a grain of salt, anyway. But, wow, am I pleased with these things! Full disclosure, I haven't used the S305s for anything but listening to music from my smartphone. I have little to no interest in using them as a headset to make and receive calls, but I guess if the occasion should arise I'll be prepared. I'm using these with a Samsung Captivate running Gingerbread 2.3.4.First off, the sound from these things was surprisingly good. They don't sound wireless at all. I was expecting attenuated sound, interference, poor volume, whatever else comes to mind when you think of listening to music wirelessly. To my ears they sound similar to a pair of Koss KSC75s (a great, cheap wired headphone). Bass is good, mids have decent separation, highs lack a bit of clarity (especially at higher volumes) but they're there. I don't know how large the speakers are in these, but they sound good and can be driven much harder than I expected. Max out the volume on your player and adjust the volume on the earpiece for best results. These can be cranked quite uncomfortably loud, so be careful. I'm not going to say I heard things in my music I hadn't before, but as Bluetooth headphones these most definitely get the job done. The on-ear controls are responsive and easy to use, and work with most of the music apps I've tried the headphones with (Pandora, Slacker, stock Samsung music player, Google Listen, BeyondPod). No dice with TuneIn Radio, but that app only has a play-stop toggle as it's built for streaming radio. The call button opens the voice dialer. It's a minor thing, but the little sounds these things make are actually really pleasant. They've got a cute chime when they turn on or off, and the volume controls play a little scale as you adjust up and down. Neato. The fit and feel of these headphones is, well, decent. They're not as cheap-feeling as other reviews have described. The earpieces are reasonably heavy, though you can get them to creak a little if you squeeze them the right way. The buttons do not rattle (I have tested this extensively). The band connecting the two earpieces is reasonably flexible, but definitely breakable if bent too far the wrong way. Be careful putting these in bags or backpacks and they should be fine. The only problem I've found with the design is that the behind-the-neck band doesn't allow you to lean back in a chair or lie back in the bed and listen to music.Getting the earpieces on the right spots on your ears is more an art than a science, and the fit will depend on your anatomy. It's reasonably easy to have one side slightly more forward or back than the other, which will mess up your stereo. On my head, the band around the back is high enough that it doesn't interfere with shirt or jacket collars. I did a full lifting workout with these on today and there was no interaction between the headband and the barbell when squatting, for what that's worth. Once they're on in the proper position, they're very stable. Zero motion during my workout. I haven't taken them running yet, but based on the personal dance parties I've had (don't judge), I don't expect them to shift out of position whatsoever. They are reasonably comfortable for longer listening sessions (two to three hours at a stretch in my experience), but can cause some ear fatigue, like any headphone with a band or clip that rides the top of the ear.Reception is wonderful. I have had no interference while carrying the phone in either pocket. The headphones stay connected with no skips across the small weight room at my gym, and about halfway across my apartment, through walls. Really impressive. I know these are relative and inexact measurements, but maybe it will give you a rough idea of what to expect. When the headphones get too far away from their host, the music will begin to drop and eventually the unit will disconnect entirely. And then there's the battery life. I don't actually know the maximum battery life yet. I was prepared for the worst here. The back of the package advertises 6 hours of play time when using the S305s as headphones, but other reviews have stated runtimes less than that. Well, the first day I had these, I used them for 8.5 hours. Yeah, eight and a half hours of music. I timed it. I was actually trying to run the battery down at the end of the day and left the unit on my desk with Slacker Radio playing through them. I finally gave up and plugged them in with the battery still juiced. They didn't even give me a low battery indication, so I don't know how much power was left in them. So, yeah. 8.5 hours. Perhaps this was a fluke, but I was astonished. Maybe they get along especially well with my phone. I don't know. Charging is quick with the included charger. These are great value for the $33 you'll pay for the

I owned a Motorola S9 headset for almost three years. Excessive sweat from workouts finally completely fried the volume controls on the S9.I spent a little bit of time researching "bluetooth stereo headsets" with the following criteria in mind:1) it had to hold up against excessive sweating since it will be used mainly for exercising which primarily includes running, weight lifting and calisthenics. It also needs to stay on my head comfortably without falling off.2) it has to be wireless (Bluetooth), easy to operate, and work with my smartphone. I have an HTC Thunderbolt which is an Android phone.3) it has to be able to work primarily as a stereo headset. I don't really expect to take/place phone calls while working out, but it should be able to do that with ease as well.4) it has to be economical ($50 max spend especially if sweat breaks the product down)5) it has to have overwhelmingly good reviews from others who purchased the productI looked over a lot of products, both higher end and lower end. I read countless reviews that people left on different products and seller feedback as well. Although I enjoyed my Motorola S9, I was not inclined completely on buying another product from Motorola. But after a time-consuming review, I settled on this product which was $32 with free shipping for Prime customers. After receiving the product, which came quickly, I evaluated the product and have the following comments:1) the product came with a mini USB which is the same power cord that my smartphone and other Bluetooth hands-free set for the car uses. (BONUS! An extra charger and my existing chargers will work on this same headset.)2) the headset charged up within an hour - to my amazement. it was very easy to connect to my smartphone, too, coming with simple instructions to understand.3) sound quality is excellent. one comment - if you are listening to music loudly, others will be able to hear what you are listening to - in case you get embarrassed listening to Rihanna while you are working out!4) control buttons are a little smaller to use, but I rate them as good nevertheless because they had no problem responding and controlling the songs or calls on the smartphone.5) volume control button falls in line with the above, but one thing I liked about it was that when you get to the loudest level, and keep pressing the volume button, it doesn't reset to the lowest volume level like my S9 did. Also, volume can be further controlled using your smartphone.6) placing/receiving calls was easy. the sound quality was very good, including what my callers said - that they were surprised I was using a headset which sounded like a regular phone conversation. I think the mic is on the earpiece, there is a little hole at the bottom of one earpiece, so it must be a sensitive mic. After hanging up, the music continued playing right where it left off, no problems there.7) finally, the headset itself is a lot more flexible than the S9. It feels more comfortable than the S9, even though it goes around the back of your head in the same manner. It has the ear wrap-arounds which make it feel snug and comfortable on your head as well. The even fit comfortably on my 4 year old daughter who picked them up and starting running around the house with them on her head!I recommend these headphones because it satisfied all of my criteria, and it appears to be a great value for the money. If you expect to sweat your brains out while working out, and want a pair of headphones that won't break down, then this is the right set to buy. The lower cost and greater comfort/flexibility than the S9 or S10 makes it another compelling reason to buy.

I've owned this headset for 3 years now and have used them nearly daily since then, they have been dropped on hard floors, concrete, down the stairs. They have been sat on, crammed into tightly packed storage spaces, and have been soaked many times... I am wearing them right now as I write this comment, and they don't even have a scratch on them. Some people say they feel cheap and all the above, but these headphones have amazingly surpassed the test of time. Their charge still lasts roughly 7 hours of straight Music Playback at 85% Volume and sometimes 9 Hours at 40% Volume. The sound quality has remained unchanged through out all the phones, PSPgo's and Bluetooth MP3 players I have ever owned during the course of using these. I feel that I should stock up 3 more pairs for the future as I see the time I would be replacing these headphones is a long ways until after it is discontinued. This headset is fully compatible with the PSPgo and PSVita portable gaming consoles. Works famously when paired to motorola phones. can be dual paired to phone and MP3 player at same time, as long as you pair them as a Stereo headset on the MP3 player, and only as a standard bluetooth headset on the phone. When a call comes in, the headset pauses my music on the PSPgo and transfers the call from my Motorola Q9C, when the call finishes it will switch back to the PSPgo and unpause my music. The only problem I ever had was when my old LG phone kept fighting my PSPgo for total control over the Motorola S305's Audio channels. This is a reason you should only pair the phone to them as a mono bluetooth set if you are running multi-device pairing.I give them a MASSIVE 5 out of 5. As they have surpassed any long term test for me than any of the other reviews I see here. My advice, Buy multiple Motorola S305's because it's worth it to own more than just one of this well built accessory!Trust this audiophile computer nerd when I say, this headset turns you into a cyborg with seamless integration between your phone and MP3 player.

Великолепно

First off I must say this is a must have item if your someone who's always listening to music, but seem to have a problem keeping (wired) headphones without breaking for a long time.I'm going to address the only CON - It feels vulnerable to break. What I mean my fellow audiophiles, is if your were to put weight pressure on this I get a strong feeling that it would snap like a twig. If your someone prone to sit before looking where your sitting, i dont know that this product is for you.OHHH another thing it sometimes stops playing music for a second or 2, very rarely longer than that. And very rarely in general, I almost forgot to mention it.Besides this, I believe the product is a great deal, that is if you make sure not to sit on it by mistake (ever.)QUALITY - The music quality is good, do not believe the reviews that say the speakers are weak, there not. What you have to realize is that even if you have your iPod or Mp3 player volume all the way up, that you can still raise it much higher with the volume button on the headphones. At the loudest setting someone can hear you from atleast 10 feet away (depending on the song ofcourse.)COMFORT - There very comfortable, I have no complains. There light and the only way I picture them falling of is ... well i don't think they would fall off your ears even in intense situations. I'm going to try these out while playing basketball, so i'll update it when I do.CONNECTION - It connects effortlessly, I have hooked up to my iPod Touch 2nd Gen. and it connected fast without asking for a password key. I also had it connecting to my (android) phone and it connected fast as well.MIC - The call quality is clear and you have nothing to worry about except looking like your talking to yourself (if your going to be out in public.)STYLE - I can't say these are the most stylish headphones ever, but they get the job done. They look better than what the picture here on amazon suggests. There decent looking and even a bit sleek looking, they are not ugly nor are they impressive to look at.CONVENIENCE - I can't stress enough how much of a relief (pun unintended) it is not to worry about yanking a wire by mistake and having to throw away a pair of headphones. I think I'm going have these headphones for years to come. The fact that you can change a song by either going back or forward is IMPRESSIVE. You can even fast forward and rewind if you hold. You can also pause/play and answer calls. You have to get used to it and memorize where the buttons are at located at, but its not a big deal I've learned them and I've had the headphones for less than 12 hours. Thanks for reading, wish you the best with your headphones.
