After my initial purchase I sat patiently awaiting it's arrival. Unfortunately, my Lifecam was lost in the mail and never arrived. After contacting Customer Service, I received a replacement next day at no cost. Kudos to Amazon! Being I run a live web cam service I was eager to try the Lifecam and test its picture quality both on the server and viewing from the site. I was amazed. Great picture!! Viewers have commented on the quality of the picture compared to my previous Logitech Pro. I will buy nothing less than the Lifecam HD.

Recommend for those who want a cool looking Web cam with the quality to back it up. It is flexible to be put in many situations. Either on a monitor or on the desk/table.

Higher quality picture than I've seen with lower priced units. Very happy with the hardware, altho I'm not crazy about the flimsy way it attaches to the monitor. Instructions are bare bones & leave out tips for top video & sound by setting the process to high priority. Picture is sharp ... color so so, but that might be because of my lighting.

I use this to record HD Videos for everything from soccer games to dancing. Save money and do not buy a camcorder. This is so easy to connect to a laptop and record anything in HD. has replace all my cameras and Video cams. you will love it.

This was what I needed! A one stop easy to use camera/mic NON tech persons solution to a web cam. It was perfect! It got me up and running on SKYPE in no time. Now I can talk and see my kids and grandkids in the Seattle and Nashville areas, I feel like I'm next door!

After weeks of research, I decided to purchase the Microsoft Lifecam 720p HD webcam and Microsoft Lifechat Headphone/Microphone combination. Installation was a breeze and took less than 5 minutes. Software is simple to use and very straight-forward. Picture is amazingly crisp, clear and works great in low light situation. Audio is also spot on. The Lifechat Headphone/Microphone works perfectly in conjunction with the webcam, which is perfect for SKYPE, web conferencing and in my case, the virtual classroom. The headphones are comfortable and the noise canceling microphone works perfectly. I also like the easy access to the microphone controls and the fact that the software will automatically mute your music, or audio if you're receiving a phone call. You can't go wrong with this winning combination and the price isn't bad either. It felt like Christmas morning in Rowlett, Texas!

This camera is not only cool looking, but it delivers amazing quality. The group on the other end kept commenting on how clear we were on our end - it does deliver HD Quality. In addition, it includes some cool 'toys' to make your video conference even more fun.

I have been completely happy with this product. The low light was wonderful. I had no problems at all with the auto focus feature. Installing it was so simple my 6 yr old could have done it. I was extremely happy considering I would have paid $25 more if I had bought it at the store instead of on Amazon.

After reading some good reviews, I purchased the MS Cinema webcam to record YouTube videos with high hopes. Once I started recording, I found that this camera emits an awful ear-piercing high pitched frequency noise that absolutely ruins the audio quality. So I decided to switch over to my default sound card using an external mic with the webcam one muted, but still that annoying dog whistle didn't go away. Once I turn off the webcam, the noise goes away, so I know it is a problem with the webcam.

great webcam would definitely recommend to others! great quality picture and very very clear even on yahoo or msn. Great image even when in the dark.

Great webcam. It was easy to install and set up. A very clear video output. Mic. works great even from across the room. The price was a little high, but I got it on sale. Average shipping time, and well packaged. I am using this webcam with my HP e9200z computer and a GT Geforce 9800 video card, with 8GB's of memory. No problems running with W7 64 bit.

I opened the box, installed the software, plugged the camera in and was set to go. Very easy for someone who doesn't know much about apps and equipment. I just need to upgrade my Internet to a higher speed. This product is well worth the money!

Well I bought one for myself to use on Skype. The autofocus was important since I crawl on the floor after my daughter so that my parents can watch her play. After my Dad saw the clarity of audio and video he bought one also. Since then at least 15 people I know have bought one and thrown their old one away after seeing our Lifecam Cinema. If you are on Skype this is the webcam you need to get. $79.99 in the store and only $56 on amazon!!

I purchased this camera for skype usage when my daughter left the country for a couple of months. It has performed very well and only negative would be its relatively large size for portable use.

I use this with Skype and other online video sharing s/w.It can produce very high quality videos -- so much that the bottleneck now is your bandwidth.Excellent camera!

Definitely a very good Cam that installs easily, the picture is clear and people can hear me clearly. The base is flexible so it can be molded to fit almost any size screen or laid out on a flat surface. My only gripe is that the button on top is fixed for windows messenger. It would be great to allow the user to set what program the button would activate as I don't use Window messenger; I use skype. However, I found on google a way to make this change. Not that I use the button that much anyways.Great buy.

This is the best web cam of the year, All round spectacular performance on every app.that I've used it on even using it with windows live messenger video chatting with my nephew 5000 miles away on his much slower network he was able to see and hear me So much clearer than any other web cam that I've had before and I've been through quite a few so if your looking to get the best experience either just creating a video of your family for home or of yourself for YouTube this Cam can't be beat, the 30fps and HD quality @ playback will make you wish you've bought two or more so you can give them to your friends and family either as a present or just to show off how great they are..So this is where I say "Forget the rest buy the BEST" give it up for Microsoft doing a wonderful job on these cams..

I bought this camera and my 11 year old installed it. She uses it with Oovoo. I rated it 5 stars with everything we've used it with, and only 3 with things we haven't. I cannot complain about it at all. We've had about 4 other cameras from Logitech to MS and this one is the best soa far as well as the best priced.

I ordered this web cam to use on my laptop and my wife's home PC. The laptop runs XP Media Center and installed without problems. Works great, video picture is outstanding! Used it with Skype. The wife's PC is XP SP3 and I could not get it to work. Problems with drivers. The driver the CD installation was trying to install was older than the driver already installed. Very disappointed with the web support on the software (uninstall and reinstall). 50-50 chance that it will work. Good Luck.

This was the second webcam I ever bought. The last was years ago. Microsoft has produced a powerful product with great features like auto focus, and the price doesn't break your wallet. It also has built in microphone and the cam comes with a highly adjustable monitor pad which will help you attach this cam to a wide array of monitor sizes. It also comes with some fun stuff the kids might like. All in all I couldnt be more satisfied for the price. The cam looks cool too!
