I use this to Skype with family and friends and it works perfectly for that. We didn't need anything super fancy and this was more than I expected. We purchased a "used" one but it was in perfect condition, the box was still unopened and the packaging was all intact. Great little camera, picture is nice quality and there isn't too much drag.

Logitech webcam pro 9000 and 5000 software failed using Windows 7. LWS.EXE not responding. Tried for two months to resolve this issueo with Logitech no avail.I talked to the top technician for Logitech, they said it is something wrong with my computer, they were wrong, it was the logitech software problem.So I tried the Microsoft lifecam Cinema webcam.Works with Windows 7 like a charm, no problems.Video and Audio sounds and looks great.You can adjust the resolution for different settings to record a video using the Microsoft webcam. I am not sure when you use Skpe or others, if you can adjust the resolution. When using Skype, or Aol or others, I don't know what the resolution is...does anybody know the answer to this? This webcam performs extremely well in a variety of conditions. It's not 'great' in low light, but it's still as good and if not better than several others I have used including the Logitech line. This is a very high quality webcam for the money and I was impressed with it's overall performance and features. It's extremely easy to install, hookup, and use.

I upgraded from a vx6000 which I thought was pretty nice. This camera blows all others I have ever had away. Other than some low-light focus issues, I am completely happy. Even in low light where it can have a few out of focus moments, the picture quality doesn't go grainy. Under extremely low colored lights it still looks great. Software is fine and can actually be fun to use. Not usually such a Microsoft suck up, but this camera rocks.

I liked the idea of the auto focus feature. And the price was a good price too. It's small and I almost forget that it's there. I haven't had a problem with the camera at all. I bought 3 of them; one for me, one for my neighbor and one for my grandkids to call me when I'm in Florida for the winter. Great idea for any snowbirds!

This was a huge surprise to us compared to the logitec we were using. Of course the price difference is significant, regardless its value for money. We are very happy with it and my family and friends seeing us on skype now cannot be happier compared to the grainy version they were used to seeing earlier.

Overall the video quality of this cam is great. Easy to install and the Microsoft software is less annoying than other MS products. The only complaint I have is the auto focus. If you move even slightly the cam will agressively start autofocusing by going to full blur then snapping back to crystal clear. It does it far more than is necessary. Most recent update claimed to improve autofocus oerformance but things pretty much seem the same.

Great Product, I love the quality of it. One thing that I was not particularly fond of is the Auto-Focus, However, That can be disabled within the settings, so its no big deal. Great product overall!

I used to buy the cheapie $10 to $20 cameras for years and they are nowhere close to the quality of this web cam. The sound and the light are clear and not much CPU usage during use. I highly recommend this cam for around $50.00Great value for the money.

I purchased this product to replace a Logitech Pro5000 Camera I purchased 2 years ago. They refused to support it under Win7 and would not replace it. I need to thank them for being snootty arrogant and keeping me trying stupid fixes for over a month. They wouldn't replace the camera with a lesser model than I had so I finally got mad and bought the Microsoft Lifecam Cinema. Got it in only a couple days and installed it in less than 15 minutes. It works exactly as advertised and produces beautiful HD quality pictures and video. Hello Microsoft and goodbye Logitech forever.

My brother sent this to our family for Christmas as he lives in Seattle and likes to see the kids. I was a little skeptical about a web cam....but, being the good brother, I installed it and tried. All I can say is WOW! I am very impressed with this little camera. We use Skype to communicate and I can't believe how fluid the video is. Also, the camera automatically turns on when I start a Skype video call, which is nice. He has confirmed that the video on his end is smooth and rich as well. The mic is as good as talking on a phone, and better than most speakerphones I have used. A great way to keep in touch after all! I may send one to other remote family members. It is a lot of fun.

This camera is a good performer for auto focus and light level. The attchment mechanism should be more positve and solid. It works great with Skype, but has frequent drop outs that may be due to Skype rather than the camera.

Length:: 2:32 MinsThis tiny, well-made webcam has great video and audio, as I hope you can tell from this review. Drawbacks include a single save format (.wmv) that may not be recognized by programs that use .avi or other types; no Mac compatibility; and a prominent window that seems to indicate that you must use Windows Live Messenger with it, even though it works flawlessly with Skype, AOL, Yahoo. etc. Pros: size, metal housing construction, bendable base, fun features (some of which I demonstrate in the video), and yes, clarity.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Very nice USB cam for the money. Good picture even in lower light. If I ever purchase another USB webcam it would be another one of these.

This is a nice camera for the money. The 720p is a little too good for those of us who have a few wrinkles that could be easily hidden with a standard camera. As with most of these cameras, it is light sensitive and the sound can be a little muffled. Overall though, it is better than others that I have used in the past. As for the setup, it was a little tricky because I had to remove an old camera's software that was conflicting with the new one. Otherwise, it was pretty standard.

I use this with skype and it works great! It was easy to install and I was up and running with it right away. I had more trouble getting it out of the packaging than I did installing it. Used with skype the picture quality was just fine with a clear sharp picture. My only complaint with it is that the clip doesn't work with my laptop due to the rounded edge on the laptop screen so I had to stand up a book next to my computer and clip the camera on that. Other than that, it works great.

we got this to use as a nanny cam for my toddler's room. the video is very clear and i love that i can zoom in and tilt / pan as needed! its very good value for the price! highly recommend it! we use it for his afternoon naps with the blinds drawn so its dark in his room but not pitch dark.

This is an excellent webcam, with a built in mic, and a flexible base for easy ajustment, it is very convinient, and very easy. However, I feel that the 720p hd selling point is moot, as at least for me, it did not make a large difference. Maybe with faster internet speeds, but insofar, a good webcam, it should be recommended, but dont expect the picture quality to improve drastically.

This camera was very easy to set up and use for someone with not a lot of technical background. It is used primarily to Skype with family and has a great picture. It was set up in minutes. I went and bought a second the next week for another family member. I highly recommend, and Amazon.com had a great price.
