We purchased this for Mommy's (my) birthday but my girls (3 & 5) have been playing on it all the time they love it, it's very easy to use even for a none techy like me, so anyone a little older who thinks its a little too complicated ...it's not my MIL loves it too ,its sooo much fun you can get a bunch of demos so you can try games before you get them (i love this i hate wasting loads of money on something we wont play with).My initial pack came with a defective game, i emailed Amazon who where amazing i got a replacement the next day and they made the whole process so easy to return the other one they even tracked the package for me and emailed me once it was sorted out.

Folks,Read the Amazon description! I'm not a big Microsoft fan, but they have really done it right with this product. Kinect, and spin off technologies like this, will completely change the way people interact with their computers, and eventually with their cell phones (give it some time).But, this is not a consumer device at this point. It is being distributed to enable developers like me to innovate.From the Amazon Product Description:"... NOTE: The sensor unit does not ship with any software and will only operate with an application developed for Kinect for Windows. Not for Gaming Use. ... This is not a consumer product. This is a Kinect development product for Windows, intended for commercial clients and developers."Seems like they are delivering exactly what they say.

I had my reservations about Kinect but I have been pleasantly surprised. Not blown away but it is a worthwhile purchase.The biggest issue with Kinect is the game selection. It reminds me of the Wii. 80% of the games are "shovel-ware" or glitchy to the point of unplayable. The few good Kinect games make it a blast and prove that the problem is with the games not the Kinect hardware.As for the games in this bundle:-Kinect Adventures is mediocre at best. It shows of some Kinect capabilities but it gets boring quickly and is not the most responsive of games.-Gunstringer is very fun. The controls are simple but not childishly so. The humor of the game is a joy.-Fruit Ninja Kinect is one of the best examples of why Kinect should exist and also its limitations. The game is hyper fun but sometimes, like in classic mode, it requires more precise slashes than are easily achievable.As for other games I recommend Kinectimals, Dance Central (1 and/or 2), Kinect Sports (1 not 2), and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved.

I think this is the 10nth kinect game I have purchased. Most of the games I have are for my 5 year old son. In most of the previous Kinect games I thought the body control was not very accurate, but in this game it picks up moves very well. The game guides you were to go so my son can play by himself without constantly getting stuck as we have experienced with previous games. If you have young children I would highly recommend this game. You can have two players play at the same time which is awesome and a lot of fun. Gotta love Pixar!!!

I was SHOCKED when I opened the box and the Kinnect for Windows contained NO OPERATING SOFTWARE... huh? Why are you selling this AMAZON? It is a $250.00 paperweight unless your a programmer. When I buy electronics I expect them, for the most part, to be plug and play or at the very least to have some drivers to load. This comes with NOTHING, absolutely no software. Plugging it in does nothing. Microsoft's site says, "Kinect for Windows hardware is tested, optimized, and designed to operate on computers running Windows 7, Windows Embedded Standard 7, and Windows 8 Developer Preview (desktop applications only). It also provides a fully supported end-user experience..." HUH? I'm an end-user and this does NOTHING whatsoever. Thanks Microsoft and Amazon.

Reviews of Kinect are a function of what your play space limitations are. The average living room is less than the 8 feet required to play Kinect optimally. I found this the hard way, with a play-space of just about 6 feet from the TV cabinet to the sofa. I moved the sofa to play and it was great, but when I tried playing in front of the sofa it was a complete excersize in frustration. It is not practical for me to move the sofa every time I want to play, so basically the Kinect for me will be a mostly unused expensive accesory. What is worse is the fact that I have a 5 year-old and he was the one who got the most frustrated with the space requirements that the device imposes. So if you are buying the Kinect for a small child in your household and can't ensure at least seven and a half feet from the edge of the table to the end of the coutch, then my advice is not to get a Kinect at all. For those of you with the means to have a big living room, then by all means get it and enjoy, because it truly is a blast to play.

I bought this for my son's six birthday and he loves it! First it scans him and it really does look like him! Then if it's a new day he can update his scanned version of himself and it will change the color of his clothes. You run around the park and play mini games for different Pixar movies, and he runs so much (even though all you really need to do is swing your arms) that he gets tired! :)He has only played Cars and Toy Story so far but he loves it, my 8 year old loved it, even my 16 year old cousin was enjoying it. I have to say out of all the kinect games we have, this one is the best!

Great game to start off with teaches the moves and is pretty good exercise. Not the go to game now unless new people come to use the system.

This is an amazing product. It can recognnize body joints and movement just by looking at you. However, be aware this for developers ONLY. It coming with nothing that will help you use it is any way. You have to go on the web and find tutorials and demos from microsoft.com and coding4fun.com. You MUST have, and be proficient with Visual Studio. Don't buy this unless you has extensive experience with C++ or VB.NET and know how to use references and libraries. It is bit like buying a PC in the eighties - You had to know what you wanted to do with it.If you have the knowledge and have an application to create a truly remarkable UI then get this, otherwise wait for someone to make you a consumer product out of this.

As described it has all the different Pixar movies with their own adventures. My daughter likes it, although she has some trouble with getting the Kinect to recognize her jumping. I played it too as an adult, and it's OK, but it's obviously for children. And it's one of the games my Daughter consistently goes back for. So for keeping the child occupied for a while, it gets 5 stars.

I bought this bundle for my son and his family. I bought the bundle for my family last year when it first came out, and I'm not regretting either purchase.This will get the whole family involved and at the same time, get them off the couch and moving. This is great for family get togethers, make sure you get both of the Sports Kinect games, lots of fun.If you are space constraint, you can purchase an adapter so you can stand closer to the sensor. Face recognition to log into your account is great. Controlling the menu with hand motion takes some time to get used to. This also has the option to do video chats with others who have the kinect sensor, I haven't tried it yet, but will soon.Overall, haven't had any problems with the sensor or the games(track and field can wear you out!). I purchased a projector over the holidays and can't wait to use this outside during summer get togethers!

Once my wife saw the dancing games for the Kinect, she just had to have it. We have the wii and that is always good fun, but not having to hold a motion controller in your hand with the Kinect seems like a great idea. It takes a little time to get use to, and overall it's not bad but it's not perfect. I find navigating the xbox menu using the Kinect is a great idea but it's a bit troubling. It doesn't always pick up your movements and sometime it will pick up your movements half way through. So far we have only played Dance Central 2, Just Dance 3 and the games that game with it. Fruit Ninja is great fun and Gunstringer is OK but awkward to play, Kinect Adventures is also OK but more for the kids. Overall I think it's fun to play at parties and I can't wait to try the new Star Wars game coming with force powers. I hope lives up to the hype.

Great Game ever for kinetic.Full of fun stories and adventures.My sons yelling and shouting during the game and exhaust after the game.The game let my sons run, shout, jump and laugh a lot!The stories are also great and many episode and re-playable.Thank you for the developers!

Great fun for the family. It can be a little bit touchy and if somebody walks past the sensor while you're playing it can throw off the whole game.

My wife and I purchased the Kinect before Christmas, and have tried it out using a variety of games. A number of our friends have also used the device at our home, and it appears to have no difficulty recognizing the movements and commands of the person using the device, regardless of height or build.Overall, we are pleased with the performance of the device.One thing to note is that the Kinect requires a very large play space in order to work correctly. For best results, there should be a very large open space in front of the sensor. The purported requirement of six feet is, in my experience, on the low end. At least 8-10 is probably more accurate.I have not been able to test the Kinect's interface within Netflix (controlling playback using voice commands) because we do not have a Gold membership.

I already had a Kinect before I bought this one but I loved it so much that I got this one for my friends. They love it and it works great. It can be such a workout to play Fruit Ninja but it is so much fun. This deal was also such a great price that it is worth the buy.

The Kinect is great. Using my body as the controller always makes me feel like I'm in Minority Report. But you should be aware that the Kinect needs to be used in an area with plenty of space, so you may have to move some furniture around. There also needs to be a lot of good lighting, but for most rooms that's not a problem. This package is definitely a good deal, the 2 additional games showcase what the Kinect can do and are definitely funsies. I especially love Fruit Ninja, it's as fun as the app. A plus is that these games require less space than Kinect Adventures (in two player mode) so there's no need to move furniture around if you're tight on space. I think they are great games to include and this is simply a great offer.

I thought I was just gonna be entertained by Kinnect, but after having it I can only say I am impressed and fascinated.Compared to PS3 or Wii controllers, with Kinnect you really feel you are controlling the environment. Sensor is awesome, specific and accurate, you really have an image of your body to monitor progress on the exercise games or to read you while you play other games.Set up is very easy, just plug and play, configuration is a step by step, so no complications.Great option if you want truly get entertained or you want to bring fun to your family and add the kids or even your parents to it. Who could have said that I would be doing UFC cardio training, or that my 80 year old father would be playing by the first time in his life a video game without any problems.If you are doubting it, buy it. You won't regret it.

Just got our Kinect, for X-box yesterday, it was great shipping, came faster than estimated, and very easy to hook up, it has an usb attachment for the older X-box which we have, just hook up, and follow on screen directions, we are very happy with it, the graphics are good, it came with Kinect Adventures, but i think you can pick of 2 other game's.Should receive our Disneyland Adventure tomorrow, if the grapics are as good, and how it looks on you tube, it will be the most exciting game we will have ever owned, we live in Florida and can go to Walt Disney World, but we are from Anaheim, Ca we miss Disneyland so much, so we are excited that we can just walk around the park, and see everything, watching it on you tube showed all the things that you can do there with the Kinect, so we are thrilled to have the Kinect, and the great games that you can purchase for it.

This product is hardware only. No manual; no software. Plug it into Windows 8 Developer Preview and drivers download, but that's it. Install the Software Development Kit (SDK) and you can see the crudest demos. I also downloaded a couple of third party tools, none of which worked. Right now, it's a paperweight.Hopefully, when Windows 8 Consumer Preview comes out 2/29/11, this Kinect will become useful. More likely, it will take months. By which time, the price will come down. Wait, unless you're a developer.Details: Amazon deletes a link here, so search for supersite kinect for professional evaluation of this package as it stands right now (could change anytime).

I was always amazed for developing some software via Kinect, and now I have the chance!Kinect is a game-changer for the world of interaction, and now it is available for PCs.IMPORTANT NOTE:Dear guys, it is NOT a gaming toy, there is NO software included. You have to have programming knowledge to use this device, and develop your own applications for Kindect; please don't be misunderstood, or you are going to leave unfair low-rated comments here!For ending: You have to download "Kinect for Windows SDK" and add it to your Visual Studio to be able to make some apps for Kinect using C++, C#, or Visual Basic.

Purchased the Kinnect with the Adventures disc, Gunstringer and Fruit Ninja downloads. I have the 4 GB Xbox, and unfortunately the Gunstringer game requires 3.8 GB of available hard drive space, so that wasn't happening. Fruit Ninja downloaded easily but to get the game started was frustrating beyond words. It kept sending me to the player sign-in page and then the Kinnect Sensor could not hold my hand movement long enough for the selection to be made. The Adventures disc that came with the system continues to come up as "non-readable disc" so we have been able to play that either. Luckily, I had bought other Kinnect games like Sports and Wipe-Out that my son loves playing, and which work great.We'll see what Amazon is able to do to make thing better with this purchase.

We got this for our kids for Christmas and the kids love it. The only bad thing has been that they are always fighting to see who gets to play it next. We had an issue with space and had to completely rearrange the room but now it works great. The kids are jumping and laughing and having a great time. When they lose a game they are not made or upset but just anxious to try again. Our kids range in age from 6 to 16 and they all want to have a turn. Even Mom and I have a great time playing after the kids go to bed. Anyway if you have an Xbox and have some kids who could use some time off the couch then this is a must have.It doesn't just play games either. You can use your voice to navigate around the dashboard, Find music and even find movies to watch.
