Its not HD but trust me, if all you want to do is simple things like skype and record some stuff. If you are one of those retards who reviewed this product poorly and you are only satisfied by an unreasonable amount of quality for very little money then go jump off a bridge or up the budget by about 50 bucks. I think this camera is great - I got it for an HP desktop which didn't have one built into the monitor and now I am about to get one for my laptop which has a cam and mic but the quality is not nearly as great as this.

My granddaughter loves that we can talk and see each other, especially since we live over an hour apart. She showed me her missing teeth and tells me how much she loves me. It's great to be able to see her more often than I did before because we miss each other a lot. The same with my daughter in California. It's an inexpensive way to visit. Thanks a lot!

I am in Afghanistan serving my country, I placed this order on 11 November 2011 and to this date 5 Jan 2012 I still have not recieved my product. With that said there is no link to file a complaint, so here it is!I have placed many other orders and all arrived in a timely manner, what a joke!

I do like this product immensely, just recently I got into video chatting so I bought this because there wasn't a webcam in my residence. And the first time I used this the quality was really good I was surprised I thought the display would be grainy because when I watch videos of people using their webcams it usually is. I chatted with my friend and her camera is a lot worse then mine, it pixelates often, her voice breaks up, and her display is grainy but I always get compliments from her on how clearly she can her and how cleary she can see me. And it's versatile, it's a let down the you can't sorta rotate the head but it will stay on your computer with barely any work on your part. I don't give the installation a good rating because 'til this day I can't figure out how to take a still picture with this webcam.

When my ancient webcam died, I went shopping for a new one. Having had good experiences with Logitech accessories, I decided on the Logitech C210 model. I'm very happy with it. It installed easily with no problems on my Windows 7 PC. The quality of the images is very good for such a low-priced device, and it works perfectly for video Skyping, where the 1.3 MP images are good enough and don't hog your bandwidth.My laptop does not have a built-in webcam, so when I travel, I pop-off the webcam and use it with the laptop. It's sturdy enough to have survived several trips.I highly recommend the Logitech Webcam C210 as a great buy for the price.

Through the Amazon Vine review program, I received a Logitech Webcam C210 for use and review. Given that I had brought my work computer home to become a full-time remote worker, the timing was perfect. I was going to need a way to interact with coworkers more than just via conference call. I can say that after a few weeks of use, this webcam has worked perfectly for my needs.Installation was easy, as with most Logitech products. I installed the software, plugged in the webcam, and did a few quick configurations for my setup, and that was it. When I pinged my first "victim" through Office Communicator, I was happily surprised. The video quality was excellent, and it adapted well for various lighting levels. What surprised me was that the webcam picked up the audio very well, enough that I could hang up the conference line and communicate solely through the webcam microphone. I usually expect that I'll need headphones and a dedicated mic to do that, so having it pick up my voice without any assistance was great.For the price, this is hard to beat. It does what's expected, and it does it very well. Since more of my coworkers are moving to a part- or full-time remote arrangement, I expect that I'll be recommending this camera on a regular basis.Disclosure:Obtained From: Amazon Vine Review ProgramPayment: Free

If you're looking for a basic web cam with a built in microphone then this is the product for you, it gives a good picture and the microphone picks up your voice within 5 feet without back ground noise.

My wife and I purchased three of these units: one for us and two as gifts. The idea was the help encourage our family, who lives 12 hours away, to use Skype to keep in touch. We came in to this with zero internet video experience and were focused mainly on price as we entered the arena.For starters, they work great. Plug and play technology is just fantastic in my opinion. We got it installed and were quickly talking with family through Skype. Our niece and nephew absolutely love seeing us on a more regular basis, although I think they mostly enjoy seeing their own face on the computer. The run and show us everything new they got since our last visit. They sit fairly well on the monitor and have a decent scope if you're sitting normally at your computer - my wife and I can both sit at a normal distance from the screen (1-2 feet) and are easily visible in the camera. Image gets blurry if the camera is moved at all and can make the viewer a little dizzy, and the image it self is not a great quality, but you can't expect much more from this little camera. All and all, it was a great starter for us to learn about the technology and see what kind of equipment to buy in the future.

Nice product. Good image. I was a little worried that it would be difficult to install since my computer doesnt have an optical drive. Windows found it, recognized it and installed; no problem. Keeping in touch with my daughter at college 2000 miles away. Perfect.

I work late nights at the office, so sometimes find it more convenient to connect with family and friends from there. Family back home as the Logitech Orbital camera, which is very high quality, and I am used to the superiority of Logitech products. While I did not want to pay for the highest end (since I use this only as an ancillary camera), I did not want junk. I am very happy with this purchase. Installation was a snap, and I find the Logitech Vid app very handy, although of course this camera can be used with all video conferencing software (skype, Google, etc). When first looking at cameras I was skeptical of ones that supposedly sit on top of the monitor, but have had no problem with this used in conjunction with my standard dell desktop flat-screen monitor. In fact, I like the fact that it can by lifted off easily if you need a close up on a different part of the room, etc. The features were unexpected, such as face tracking (the camera does not move, but will zoom in on your face if you are certain distance away, and 'follow' you when you move side to side) which was a nice surprise. Image quality seemed great, although for most users I suspect that will be more a function of your internet connectivity. Really, though, I do not think you can go wrong with Logitech.

There's not a lot to say but crystal clear sound and crisp video. We use this for video/audio conferencing for our office. Many work from home across the city and one across the country. We use Microsoft Lync to conference so don't think we are conferencing with the software that comes with this but all we had to do was plug these cameras in and they worked. We didn't have to load the software or any updates and they just worked with Lync.I did load the software on mine just to see and it has simple video calling so this would also be great for family across the country.I can't believe how clear the sound was. Yes, you still have the sound as if you are "in a room" but no echo and not "tinny". So it's not a pronounced room sound, just not like you are holding a phone, of course.I can't imagine needing more than this camera for a single users. Maybe for a conference room needing to see everyone it probably wouldn't be the greatest but I bet it still wouldn't be bad.It has face locating features and zoom meaning it will automatically follow your face when you move side to side but within the camera's range. It doesn't move the camera. It just pans and tilts digitally. If you really need this feature then I would probably buy a model up but hey, what do you expect.Enough said. I hope this helps someone.

I received the Logitech VideoCam and was surprised at one, how easy and quick the setup took; second, I was amazed at the quality of the picture. This is my first time at WebCam and was apprehensive at the standard of quality. But in 1,2,3 steps it was up. The voices are clear and it depends whether you use Logitech viewing or Skype, but Logitech has a more refined lip movement to voice coordination. Again...this is a perfect picture!Surprisingly, the 3MP photo option is quite impressive. I love the shoot picture instantly. You can quickly add a friend to chat with, just enter their email address. Either at your end of the recipients end you can quickly snap a picture and that pic can be the photo of choice for the friend or family. It is easy to have several different pictures on the interface of the Webcam; I dragged a few from the desktop. My webcam sits comfortably on top of the computer. If I need to remove the camera from the top of computer to show a different view of my background, or reveal other parts of the house, I can do that easily with the 5-feet long attached cord, although it could be longer.You can make several adjustments, and the light adjustment is automatic, the mic is noise cancelling, however, I have not the need to test that yet.What I like is that anytime someone on your contact list is at the computer, you can have a small message pop up that lets you know they are available. My two current contacts are using Windows XP; while I am on Windows Vista.If you are someone you know is vascillating between getting a Webcam, I encourage them to do so, especially if they have family miles away like I do. Many people do not like to be on camera, and for me, I don't either because I have to look decent an any moment a call comes in. Try it.... You may like it! ....Rizzo

The quality of sound and image of this camera is very good, also considering its price (from my point of view is a very good value camera), BUT I don't think it stays very secure on the laptop where is setted, it can fell down with ease, eventhough it has a material in the bottom that is meant the camera not to fall, I think that if you touch this camera accidentally it may fall and brake down. Anything else, makes this camera a very good choice for video chatting, making videos and conversations.

I was looking for a simple to use, economical, decent camera to start using Skype. I'm not disappointed. I think it's a pretty good little camera for its price. :)

No qualms about product, except that the webcam video tends to freeze sometimes every time I start to use it. I would have to restart the camera a couple times to get going, like a bad lawnmower.

Just bought this product. It works fine so far. The picture quality is so so. I would expect the image to be sharp and clear. But overall it is OK quality. I would say that for casual video chatting, it is good enough.

I got this camera for my parents so we can talk to each other when I am in college, and it is a good camera for the price! It has an average resolution for video and is very, VERY easy to install, which was all my parents were looking for in the first place. It has auto correct in low lighting but it doesn't work as well as I expected, and it has absolutely no fun features or effects which was kind of a bummer. Other then that, I think it works great for what they were looking for and I have no major complaints.

The camera works great. I use it for Skype & have no issues now that it is set up. When it was first installed, I could speak for about 2 minutes then the picture would rotate & I appeared upside down. It was installed following the directions included in the box. I discovered that I also had to go to the Logitech website & download additional software. It was easy to find the website & the software for the camera on the website. It would be nice if they included a note in the box to let the buyer know to go to the website.

For the price, this is a fine webcam. It balances just fine on the top of my laptop screen. I've been using it with Skype and other video chat for a while. I've yet to have a complaint.

I wanted a better quality webcam than what H.P. installed in my laptop. The webcam's pictures are so minuscule in the video that pictures are shrunk to scary looking. Also if you wear glasses all you get in video for eyes are big, glaring white panels as big as your glasses lenses. There's no difference in the video quality whatsoever. So if you are looking for an upgrade this clip on will be more cumbersome(wires & usb plug in) to use while giving no difference in video quality.

An excellent web cam at a very reasonable price. Image quality wasn't an issue but we were surprised at how good it was. Installation was free of any issues. I'd highly recommend this web cam.

The Logitech Webcam C210 is absolutely perfect! Shipping was faster than promised, and the vendor emailed a nice letter. I am not all computer-savvy, so if I can set up and use this product, so can anyone. It is just what I needed for Skype, and nothing fancy or beyond my basic need. I recommend this C210 without hesitation!

I bought this item for a gift and it works great. The picture quality is not as nice as my Logitech 510, but for half the price it's pretty good. I would recommend it for a simple webcam or using with Skype.
